I've wondered before what the point is of celebrating birthdays. It's like, "Oh yay, another year I didn't DIE. Let's have a celebration that I survived this long and am another year closer to being a statistic." I mean, it's just time, right? Why keep track of it at all, but just enjoy it?

Pfft, nah. I think it's really more of a time to reflect on the past year, as well as the previous ones. Plus it's just another excuse to have fun with friends. Any excuse for that is ok with me >:D


Seriously though. I just wanna take the time to thank all of you for being so awesome. It's hard to believe it's been just short of a year since I met all of you, especially those of you at CPFM being my first real contact with other furs. I was so incredibly shy, and still am to an extent, but that was the first time I really felt like I belonged. I'll admit I didn't exactly have a bad or difficult upbringing like many of you have had to go through, but really getting involved with you guys and the fandom has had such a positive impact on me; I really hope knowing me has done the same for you.

So I turned 22, big whoop, nothing really changes. But this past year has been completely incredible, perhaps the best so far. I've learned so much about myself, made amazing friends, grown immensely in my spiritual beliefs, and there's SO much more! I've picked up art again, gotten fairly good at piano, really gotten in tune with nature, and I've really opened up to everyone and everything. I'm not afraid to be me! ^.=.^

I know this is my hatchday and blah blah blah but I really want you all to know how much I appreciate what you've all done for me. I feel so totally lucky to have just happened to find you all (props to varaleo for being the one to initiate everything by somehow tracking me down based on a chance 3DS tagging). You are all just so awesome!!!
