I'm the first pic in the vid, for anyone that hasnt seen my suit yet X3

Got my first bad time in suit :3 Still not going to deter me from doing it, but def reinforces the need to GO WITH A FRIEND, and make sure the places you go are safe.
I was fliering in suit for a theatre show coming up in Boston with a friend, and these hobos in the corner (youngish, drunk/drugged fo sho) continually were harrassing my poor friend. Namecalling, swearing, sexual harrassment. Stupid. I was off to the side, and eventually the "leader" sent this chick over to me to tell me to go home, and leave, and could she see my face, etc. She even had the balls to grab my arm when I ignored her, so I told her "Hands off." She goes back to her buddy and he comes over, saying that he just had gotten out of the mental hospital, and it made him mad when people dress up in animal costumes. That I better leave, or he was going to beat the shit out of me and kill me.
Good times. I was shit scared, even though if he had tried anything he would see exactly what I'm made of. (I didn't take martial arts classes for nothing. Plus boxing training with my brother. Plus, I am not a tiny girl.)
Then my friend got the police, and he got arrested, and the rest dispersed.

Geez.

I have one last tail commission to finish up, but after this, yarn tails are going to be replaced with regular ol' cut and sewn tails made of faux fur. Unless someone specifically wants a yarn tail, but I will have to add a surcharge on. It's simply too hard on my wrists, that are already beaten up from years and years of arting and violin. Every time I get to the point of brushing it out, I get intense pain in my wrists, and have to stop for a bit until I can do it some more.

EDIT: 6:30am. Hat is finished. Oh god this is a pretty terribad hat. But a) it's my first ever hat. b) who the hell cares it has ears and will keep my head hella warm. c) It was made at 5am.

It was amazing. Went down with and my mate , and went immediately to the Dealers Den to set up as we were running late. Set up and had a pretty slow day. Hung out a lot with , my first booth babe hahah and chatted with , , and a lot, which was amazingggg~ Went to bed pretty early that night as I had had noooo sleep that previous night. But not before us and Pilot(?) went and scared everyone in K-Mart.
Next day sold extremely well, and after that Fox introduced us to and her friend Zev, and we all were silly together all night :3 Pie-con woot!! Dancing, silliness, and hijinks ensued.
Sunday was low-key, we just sold, chatted up the friends we had made, Zev came and sat with us behind the table for a while, and then packed up and left.
All in all, it was an amazingly fun time. I suited for the first time, almost got lost in the parade (Thanks Ark!) and just... wow. We will def be attending next year. <3
Narc was really skeptical beforehand, and kinda went in with a negative attitude, but really, thanks so much to everyone for making her first taste of furry-dom a completely amazing one. She might even get a suit for next con ^^

I've been swamped at work, cleaning up and clearing out. For those who don't know, I have lost my job, which I'm both happy and sad about. BUT. I will have plenty of time and need for work now, so art will be a much bigger part of my life. I've needed this, now I can take some time for my own life, which I honestly haven't had time for in a couple years. I feel completely burnt out with work. I'll be going on unemployment and trying to take a couple semesters of classes towards my BA. I'll be working on my personal business and art and trying my best to improve. I'm trying to create a small portfolio for FurFright, which I will still be attending as a dealer, as well as Transcending Boundaries (The Transcending Boundaries Conference is a lively weekend of education, social activism, research, and support for persons whose sexual orientation, sexuality, gender identity, sex, or relationship style do not fit within the binary confines of male or female, gay or straight, monogamous or single.) in November. Life is going to be hectic, crazy, and full of things I want to be in it. I need this, and I'm happy it's happening whether I want it to or not.
