Posted 10 years agoYes, I'm going!
I'm rooming with
jimdalefox and my kiddo, Rhayven
Activities planned: we rarely plan anything, so its all about the mood or random moment
We are kinda foodies-love to explore outside the con and defiantly are always down for a new adventure.
And yes for all of you that did'nt know, i have a Rabbit Samurai suit now and not the crazy loud Oki Doki Coyote...
OK-heres the list of crap we do...
Hookah
Fursuit
Drinkies (nothing cheap, year were snobs like that)
Video our adventures and actually post them
Dance comp
Performance panels
List of things we avoid, so, if your into them just consider us off your list of peeps to hang with:
Smokers (cigarettes are the devil) so if your trying to talk to me and i am backing away, that would be why.
Fursuiters who have the funk: If you smell like a combination of hot laundry and feet and nobody has bothered to tell you, i most likely will whisper it to you in the most brutally honest way possible.
4:20-is so not my thing either, so just keep that to yourself.
So yeah-were all about reconnecting with our friends who we never get to hang with also-ya know, boring adult stuff...
See you freaks there.

TFF-2015
Posted 10 years agoA report of sorts as promised...bullet point style because I know most furries have the attention span of a spoon.
1.New suit debut of SabreJack was defiantly a new experience for me. A non speaking character vs. who i used to portray in the fandom had its challenges to say the least. however it did give my mate
a chance to come out of the shadows and have to speak for me. People who I have known for years in the fandom I'm sure I missed saying hello to because of my silence. If I missed you this year, vast apologies. Turning off
in a convention enviroment is no small feat I assure you.
2.A big thank you to
and his friend "Butler" for the tailgate of home made ribs and a new creation, pulled pork chili, which i can only describe as the way a true "manwich" should taste. Hermes would be so proud.
My guest for this culinary treat was the one and only
who said of the feast,
"I think my food baby is pregnant." Oh and butler, let me echo Quantum's statement here, your going to make somebody a great wife. Despite the gender confuse person who could not stop talking about their average at best fursuit aaaand how difficult it was to eat in...a good time and welcome break from the con was enjoyed by all.
3.Con staff, all top shelf especially security, HATS OFF my friends. I'm about 95.5% sure
had a lot to do with this.Your team had a daunting task in front of them and made it look easy. The best way to judge a security team is if you never see them, notice their presence yes, but not having to see them fly into action is another. I've been to a lot of cons all across the country and have experienced first hand how security can strong arm con goers, overstep their bounds, or just plain "phone in" the duties entrusted to them.
I for one had special needs for security as I brought my swords for a photo shoot. And yes, I made pre-con arrangements with Sable to insure my situation was on their radar. I could not have asked for a more courteous and professional escort assigned to my party by the ever watchful eye of the Gryphon. The "Lieutenant's" name on FA I am unsure of, but he was introduced to me as "Pestilence" so i thank you sir!!!
4.Food trucks, was an awesome idea. I heard many compliments about the quality and their prices. Everything i saw coming back into the hotel was being cradled like a newborn.
5.Artist ally-This year, another first. I found an artist who's work caught my ever so judgmental gaze. But, any of you who followed my former account know of the string of bad luck i have had concerning con badges. so,I had to give
..."the test" (you should ask her about it) never the less SHE PASSED!!!! turns out some furry artists are not afraid of money-pay attention to what you want-and OMG deliver at the con as promised...I had to have a moment to compose myself after i picked up my HILARIOUS badge she made. Props sister...you will be getting more work from me and the wife!!!
6.Unexpected events-moments that you never see coming, but teach you a fuck ton. As i was suiting I noticed a tall figure watching me. He waited until i was not posing for pics and greeted me with a gift art badge of my Rabbit. Hand water colored background and the character done in all white relief. It was only after Askari pointed it out that i noticed how carefully he had captured the con theme "out of the inkwell" so poignantly whether on purpose of not.
defiantly made me smile. If I didn't express it enough in person, Thank you again.
Another water color badge was given to me by my long time friend
who we spent a nice evening with...well if you consider the likes of
and her awesome mom discovering secrets about weird sex noises over 10 year old bourbon a "good time" then yes.
and his mate
What can i say about you two? I have known you as long as I've been in this fandom and somehow...we remain friends. The gifts you give to me are unspoken but when you show up with our favorite liquors it cements the fact you genuinely care.
Finally-I saw more people this con, young and older alike, experimenting with gender. From cross dressing to actually Trans, I made a few bungles by calling a she a he and so forth, it was a bit frustrating as I never wish to intentionally offend. I understand the need to be comfortable in your own skin, but its hard to re-identify people who you've known for a long time and they spring it on you mid conversation. It seems our fandom is branching out in directions that trend away from what "furry" actually is (at least to me).
I had a very different con experience this time, i have a new perspective from playing a more observational role, was very necessary.

Posted 10 years agoI'm going..just like every year since the day it started...staying at the main hotel-arriving Thursday, leaving Sunday...this year however,I'm not the lovable loud ass Coyote you have all come to fear-admire-stalk etc. (That was Oki Doki for the less informed) I'm still that coyote inside, but life delegates change. Look for a Blue haired Japanese Jack rabbit named Sabrejack (Sabre for short is fine).
Don't get all freaked out if I only bow or use sign as Sabre does not speak. Hugs are always welcome naturally and pictures welcomed.
Yes, I'm mated to
and will be rooming with
and
Plans for the most part include...SUITING!!! Hooka-foodie haunts-loads of good bourbon and reacquainting with out of state friends!

The Rabbit
Posted 11 years ago(Took this from my favorite Kitsune Kyo)
1. Choose one of your OC's.
2. Your OC must answer every question as truthfully as possible.
3. Journal title should be "OC Interview".
4. When you're done, tag as many people as you wish. Feel free to steal if you want!
5. Have fun!
1. Hi! What's your real name and nickname?
"My name is Sabrejack of Clan Shadowfall
2. Interesting... what's your current age?
"I am just turning 20 this season"
3. Uh-huh. What's your favorite food?
"Steamed rice and sushi seem to be my favorites, especially Unagi! But mostly we are a foraging species"
4. And your favorite drink?
"Cool river water or Sake, should i be able to find it in my travels"
5. Confession time! Who's your crush/lover?
"That is an emotion I am unable to focus on presently."
6. Aww! Have you kissed yet?
"I have kissed, but I have no-one to call my mate at the moment."
7. Classic question! What's your favourite colour?
"my clans colors are turquoises and black."
8. Who's your favourite author?
"I study the ancient scrolls of my Master who had them handed down from his and so forth...the rest of the time I meditate."
9. Now what's your biggest fear?
"That I never find my lost family member...or I die an honorableness death."
10. Any siblings?
"My brother Shenko
11. Almost done, it's only twenty questions. Who's your hero?
“My brother, who is lost to me for the time being...he gave of himself so effortlessly and completely.
12. Okay, who's your worst enemy?
"my reflection."
13. What would you do if your hero and your worst enemy got together?
"This is a strange question... Pass."
14. Interesting... what would you do if you met your creator?
"We believe that everything is a part of the greater oneness...the tallest bamboo in the forest, the strongest stone in a wall is equal to the moth blown upon the wind or the flame that consumes it."
15. Now, what do you want to be when you grow up?
"As I grow, I become what i am destined to be."
16. What's your worst nightmare?
"Failure to right the wrongs I have set in motion."
17.What's your life-long dream?
"completion of my journey only to begin another.
18.What would you do if your life-long dream came true?

20. Last question! What do you spend most of your time doing?
"I spend much of my time acting in the role I have chosen for myself...the Ronin, Master-less but only unto myself. My house no longer stands, but my Clan moves on. In the shadows, I move silent, ever vigilant seeking the scent of those who would seek to do us harm...should they appear, they will know wrath...and be greeted by death."
