You wear a light jacket all summer and a heavy jacket from august to may
You expect a blizzard each Halloween, Mother's Day, the first day of spring and the Fourth of July and are surprised if there isn't one.
Snow on Christmas? only sometimes, and sometimes there isn't even evidence of snow
You are immune to the smell of oil being refined and most of your friends parents worked there, or you have some friends that work there, or you work there
You cant figure out whether those 3 missiles just inside the base are live or not
a 10 minute drive means going ALL THE WAY ACROSS TOWN!
red or blue has nothing to do with political parties. high school rivalry goes so much deeper than that
you participated in an extra curricular activity that isn't available in any other state
fort collins is your ticket out of wyoming

You've seen a live tornado less than a mile from where you are watching on your front porch (Not quite <.< )
back to school shopping involves a trip to the Wrangler store (or Fort Collins)
you cruise around in the middle of winter with the heater on full blast with the windows down.
You've actually had someone act surprised when you tell them that you actually do drive a car instead of ride a horse
An hour wait Friday night to get into Applebee's upsets you. Seriously, there are really enough people in Cheyenne for there to be an hour long wait?
Oh my god. its frontier days again. yay. (its hard to write sarcasm)
you laugh in the face of the 60 mph breeze thats blowing through
while golfing on base, you hit a shot over the top of a grazing antelope and it didn't flinch (never played golf there but they do have quite a few antelope)
while on vacation to another state, you were confused and scared at the utter lack of drive through liquor stores
you have had to defend the legitimacy of Wyoming's existence
you remember it hailing so much (presumably in the summer) that the lilac trees bloomed in August because they thought it was spring again
you tell someone from another part of the country where you're from and they ask, "Cheyenne... that's in Germany, right?" (or something similar)
You measure distance in hours.
You often switch from "heat" to "A/C" in the same day.
You see people wearing hunting clothes at social events.

What is wrong with people?!
Posted 16 years agoAt this point, I truly hate humans. Just a few hours ago I checked my bank account to find that almost all of my money was gone. This confused me because the last time I checked, I had almost $300. On further investigation I found a bunch of purchases that I don't remember ever making. Next, I checked my wallet and found, much to my dismay, that my credit card was gone. And then, after going through the process of calling to get the card disabled, I have absolutely no idea if I'll even be getting ANY of that money back. So now I'm just sitting here, sick to my stomach, and feeling so small and insignificant because somebody decided that they could walk all over me and take my money. I don't know what I'm going to do anymore..
