These days I'm not sure what I'm worth as an artist anymore, since so many people are changing the field. So I leave it up to you, the customer, to let me know what you feel I'm worth. The only stipulations I have are that I won't put pen to paper for less than $5, PG13 or less rating, and that I will try to make what you pay match what you get.

Kiki's current condition: Stable, eating and defecating normaly, not drinking well, clearly in pain.

Currently Kiki's on a variety of medicines, an anti nausea pill, pain meds and a glucosamine suplement. She flat out refuses the glucosamine no matter what I mix it with, so no luck there. The pain pills knock her out, but without it she's alert, but cries everytime she's touched. It's a catch 22.

Curently we've had physical exams, bloodwork, and a thyroid screen. No diagnosis yet.

Now the situation that has brought me to this: My cat is sick. Really sick, and I don't know why. Worse yet, neither do the vets I've taken her to. I'm $300 in and looking at most likely having to do more tests still to find out what's wrong before I can even think about getting her cured. And worst of all, I really don't have the money. At this point it's a matter of deciding which bills to pay, and right now all I can pay is rent, leaving gas, insurance, gasoline, food, and cellphone to languish on the wayside. I'd like to be able to eat, but even more i'd like to have the money to spare to make sure my cat's getting the care she needs and deserves. I'm not asking for hand outs, I'd much rather work for the money, but if you can only afford a $1 post card, every little bit helps.

So I'm doing something a little like the iron artist thing where the artist offers 100 sketches at $10, but I don't like doing the same thing over and over. So this is my proposal:

I'm now OPEN for $1000 worth of comission art. It comes out to the same amount and I get to do some coloring hopefully. I'm also willing to bend my "pg 13 and below rule" for this, within reason. Note me for that though.

What I hope will be a final thumb update:
well, I fucked my thumb up good. It STILL hurts sometimes, and I can't bear any weight/lift anything with it. I've been practice drawing in limited amounts (mostly on the tablet. killing two birds with one stone) to make sure I'm up to par, and I feel confident enough in my ability to start offering small amounts of art to the public again.
Down side is I can only do limited amounts at a time or it starts to hurt again. So don't expect the mass, frequent updates of day past.
I apologize for my down time folks, I wish I could have gotten back to ya'll sooner.

I'd like to apologize now. I managed to fuck my thumb up good while playing with the dog. I landed on it really hard, really wrong while we were wrestling. Prevents the sale, trade, adoption, breeding and transportation of 'alternative' pets across state lines.

In laymans' terms this means:
-you can no longer buy trade sell or adopt these animals.
-if your exotic vet is across state lines you cannot take them there.
-additionally do not plan on moving out of state.
-common childhood pets such as hamsters, parakeets and guppies would be affected
-if two of your tropical fish have babies, even by accident, they could be confiscated and destroyed. (this is true of all 'alternative pets' but anyone who's owned a guppy or other livebearer knows how hard this is to prevent.)
-if you own an animal that eats live prey such as mice and rats you will no longer be able to obtain food for it.


Stand up and say NO! Write congress or attend your next meeting and ask why they want to take away your pets!
Thousands of people i this country with allergies rely on the alternative pet trade for their companion animals! Not to mention all of the pet stores that could potentially close and the employees that would lose their jobs.
I am sure there are enough people who rely on the exotic pet trade to live, and it will not pass, but if enough of us don't make our voice heard, how can we be sure?
