A little update

senkolke) and I moved to Fairfield, California. About 16 miles NE of Vallejo. We found a bigger place, in a better neighborhood and cheaper rent. I couldn't walk around Vallejo without thinking something would happen to me. I don't drive, so that's out of the question. But living in Fairfield, I already walked around without fear of losing my life. There is a mall about a 15 minute walk from where we live and grocery stores in walking distance. There is a 16 screen movie theater connected to the mall with an IMAX screen. It's also Regal, which I am used to going to, when I lived in Rochester. so far, there has been no issues with Fairfield and am liking it here.

Posted 7 years agoMy spouse, senkolke and I won't be attending this year. We moved to California, late last year and FC will be our home con now.
For all of those that are going, have a safe trip there and back. Have lots of fun and leave the drama at home.

Posted 7 years agoWe arrived here on the 3rd of last month. We are in Vallejo, California. Turned out we have a small-ass house and took the landlady almost a month to get the heater working. We had to put 2/3rds of our stuff in storage. We haven't had internet in the house until this week and it is still slow. We are using our phones as Hotspots to get internet. We changed our plans on our phones to get unlimited data. The internet is still extremely slow, so I still can't do much.
We will be at FC for 2 days. We will be there from Friday afternoon until Sunday. We are not staying at any of the con's hotels. I will have Sabre there and possibly Raider. Sabre did make it to FC in 2011, but it's been a 7 year drought. Raider has never made an appearance at FC. We will see. I won't have any of my badges for FC, since they are in storage and we could not find them, last time we were there. I will only have my con badge, that I will pick up there.
In other news, we will eventually be looking for a house. Nothing too big, but it will be a house, not a mobile home. It should also be bigger then this house we currently live in. It's about half the size of the apartment we had in Rochester.

Going to Montreal
Posted 8 years agoFor our last east coast trip, senkolke and I are going to Montreal this weekend. We will head out on Friday morning and come back on Monday.
In less then 3 weeks, we are moving to California. Senko has a better paying job out there and also, it's his dream job. I will look for a job at the beginning of the year.

Moving to California and other news.
Posted 8 years agoOn Tuesday (September 12th) my spouse accepted the job in Napa, California. We will be moving there, late November. We still have to find a place to live, possibly rent for the first year and if everything goes good, we will get a house. It will be a big move, from NY state to there. We will rent a truck and a trailer for the car and Senko will be driving there, since I can't. We will be packing up stuff we don't use that often, first.
In other news, I turn 49 next Friday, the 22nd. I took work off from Thursday-Monday. Saturday, we will be doing the Maid of the Mist at Niagara Falls. We already prepaid for the tickets. I don't have anything else planned, maybe go to the Waterloo Outlet Center on Sunday. I'll probably just chill at home on my birthday, maybe watch a movie or two.
Besides that, not much going on here.

Since FA is fucked up, I don't even know why I stay on here. I been using Facebook more and I am on there more often. So, FA, fuck you and your stupid system.

Posted 8 years agoMy spouse, senkolke has two job interviews in Indiana, around the Fort Wayne area. While he goes there, I will stay home, since I have to work. If he gets the job, he might have to train in Georgia for 3-6 weeks. After that, we will see where we go and what to do from there.

Posted 9 years agoWork decided on giving me this whole week off for part of my vacation. So, today, senkolke and I will go see Fantastic Beast, a 10am showing. After that, we will go eat some lunch. Tomorrow, I will pack for MFF. We will be catching the train there. It leaves about 11:09pm Tuesday night. We will get to Chicago, early Wednesday morning, then catch a commuter train to Rosemont. We will be staying at The Embassy. It looks really nice and has a pool. Might bring my swimming trunks. After we get to the room and get settled in, might either head to the main hotel or the Fashion Outlet of Chicago, depends on if I am hungry. The Embassy is a bit closer to the mall, so I won't have as much as a walk as I did in the past. I haven't really looked at the schedule, so I don't have any plans of any panels to go to. I just want to meet friends and hang out. Monday afternoon, we will take the plane back to Rochester. Will probably be home early evening.

Posted 9 years agoMy spouse, senkolke went to visit his family in Argentina. He left this afternoon and won't be home until late at night, on the 18th. I will be working straight through to Wednesday, but I have Thursday and Friday off, next week. Planning on doing some rearranging around the apartment and some Halloween decorating. Besides that. not much going on. BTW we will be at MFF this year, also.

Posted 9 years ago senkolke and I will be heading to Erie, PA tomorrow. Staying there for a couple nights. Going to meet up with 
idaikitsune and his mate, on Sunday. Probably get some pix and video of Raider and Sabre in various locations. We will come back home on Monday. I have the next eight days off. I work tonight until 10pm. Thursday will be my birthday. No big plans for it, since Senko has to work during the week. We will be heading to Buffalo on Friday. Senko has an appointment, so I will be hanging at the Walden Galleria Mall. His appointment isn't until 3pm, so we will have to figure out what to do before that.
For the rest of my time off, I will relax, rearrange some stuff around the apartment and watch DVDs, that I haven't watched yet.
Sorry I haven't wrote many journals lately, I been on Facebook and doing other things, like trying to live my life. Not even sure when our next convention will be. If we are still here in Rochester next year, we will probably go back to Anthrocon, again.

Posted 9 years agoI want to say Happy 2nd Anniversary to My most awesome Tiger. If it wasn't for him, I probably wouldn't have gone to a lot of places that I been to. He's also helped me out financially and he is lovable. I'm so glad to have him in my life and I wouldn't have it any other way. I would not know what to do if he wasn't here. He's been there when I have been sick and has helped me get better. He is the Love of my life and I want us to grow old together. I Love You senkolke and am very happy you are in my life. Anthrocon '16 and a Panel.
Posted 9 years agoMy spouse and I will be at Anthrocon. We will be there from Wednesday afternoon until Monday morning, I expect to have lots of fun there, since this will be my last Anthrocon.
For those that are handlers and want to be better at it, there is a panel at AC you must attend. It is Advanced Fursuit Handling and being put on by
trekwolf and 
JB_Jaguar. It will be held from 9am-10:30am on Saturday July 2nd in the DLCC room # 317. I will be attending it and also helping out as a test subject. So, if you know anyone that wants to be handler, they should be attending this panel. It will be very helpful and informative.

Posted 9 years agoI will be at AC this year. My spouse and I will be staying at The Courtyard. Staying by ourselves, so we can have privacy. Sabre will be dressed in various outfits, mainly in some new steampunk gear. I am not going with the theme, since most people will probably dress as gangsters from the '20s. I got new boots, getting a new vest and a good friend is making me a belt buckle. I also got a new belt. I will probably get some gears to glue to the hat I have. I just hope I can pull it off. This will be something different for me.
We will be getting there on Wednesday and staying until Monday morning. I am also planning on being at trekwolf's panel, Advance Handler panel. If you plan on being a handler or know someone that will be a handler, this panel will be for you. Time will be determined. I just hope to have lots of fun this year, since this might be my last AC.
