Heading to Ohio.
Posted 10 years agoMy spouse,
senkolke and I are heading to Cleveland, Ohio this weekend, for the Labor Day weekend. We will be going to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I'm pretty excited. I always wanted to go there, but never thought I would. We will probably leave early, Saturday morning. We will be staying at a hotel Saturday and Sunday night. Might check out the museum where the real Balto is, too. If we have time. It should be lots of fun and lots of picture taking.

3 Weeks from today.
Posted 10 years ago3 weeks from today will be my 47th birthday. Can't believe I got that far. Not too many plans, but I did take the 19th-26th off for my birthday. A little paid vacation that I saved for that time. Hope to go to Howes Caverns, probably the weekend before my birthday. Not sure where else to go, I still want to go to The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in Ohio. Maybe Letchworth State Park, like last year. Also still want to check out Chimney Bluffs. We will see.
Outstanding video by EZ Wolf and Company.
Posted 10 years agoA Month From Today.
Posted 10 years agoMy birthday is a month from today. I'll hit the big 47. I did take the week off for vacation and hopefully have some plans that week. Possibly going to Howe's Caverns. I never been there and hope to visit. I still want to go see The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Maybe check out Letchworth State Park and make a full day of it, this time. Unlike last year, my spouse will be working that week. He is limited on his time off, since he hasn't been there a year yet. So, not exactly sure what we will be doing that week.
Had a GREAT Saturday.
Posted 10 years agoMy sweetie took me to Darien Lake amusement park, between here and Buffalo. I haven't been there since 2008. They have 6 rollercoasters there, I went on 4 of them. Also went on The Scrambler and The Big Wheel, also. We did a lot of walking and even got pictures of Senko near the roadway, to come into the parking lot. Senko also rode 2 of the rollercoasters with me, The Predator and The Viper. After I finally got a chance to ride The Ride of Steel, we ate dinner at the Italian restaurant in the park. That was cool, but slow service. Senko had a chance to go on a couple water rides, like The Lazy River and Mister Twister. At the end of the night, we watched the laser, fire, and water show called, Ignite the Night. We had a great day and hope to do it again, at some point.

Won't be online, Saturday.
Posted 10 years agoMy spouse and I will be going to www.darienlake.com it will my first time there since 2008 and my spouse's first time, period. We will be leaving at about 8:30am and staying there the whole day and watching the laser light show at night. Probably won't be home until about midnight or so. I hope to have a lot of fun and can't wait to ride The Ride of Steel again.
Updates and stuff.
Posted 10 years agoI work today from 2:30-11pm. Tomorrow,
and I are heading to Ithaca, NY for a day trip. Should be fun, they have some gorges and waterfalls to check out. Maybe do some pix in suit and maybe even some video. I will also bring my
raider22 fursuit so he can have some fun.
After Sunday, I will be working Monday-Friday, which is not the norm for me. Then on Saturday, we will be heading to www.darienlake.com an amusement park between Rochester and Buffalo. Will probably be there all day. I haven't been there since 2008. They have a 200 foot tall rollercoaster, can't wait to ride that again.
Then I have the 16th and 17th off, with no major plans for those days yet. Then I will work the 18th-22nd that week. Since Sunday and Monday will be my days off that week. So, the days I have plans, I won't be online that much, if at all.

Not Online Tomorrow(Friday).
Posted 10 years agoI won't be online too much on Friday. I will be going to a local amusement park and will be there from late morning until the late afternoon. I have work early on Saturday(7am), so I can't stay up late. It will probably be my last time at this park, since I will be moving to California in November.

Posted 10 years agoI reactivated my Facebook page. Since I will be moving in a few months, I can keep in contact with friends on the east coast. It's under my real name, Scott P. Young.
Home from AC.
Posted 10 years agoI'll leave or more descriptive journal tomorrow, but made it home safely from AC. Once I get my pix from my spouse, I'll start posting them.
At AC.
Posted 10 years agoWe made it here to AC safely. No issues on the way here. Got here just over 24 hours ago. Been keeping busy. I'll leave more stuff when I get home. Se ya'll then.
AC Bound
Posted 10 years agoIn less then 24 hours,
senkolke and I will be more then half way to Pittsburgh. I'm almost done packing my stuff. Besides bringing this fursuit, I will also bring
raider22. He was at AC last year, but since we were all the way at the Doubletree, he only got a few pictures in the park, near that hotel. Raider's premier of his new body suit and handpaws. I haven't really worn his feet paws around AC much, either. The only thing on him that is not upgraded is the head. Eventually that will get updated, too.
My spouse and I will be staying at the Westin, so I will be able to suit some more. Last year on Saturday, I must have been in my Sabre suit for about 8 hours. But it was all worth it. This year I hope to get my picture with more furiends. I can't wait. Hope to be at the hotel around 4pm and hang out with my good friend, Koshiro. It will be awesome to see you again. It's been since MFF '13 since I last saw ya. For all of you travelling, have a safe time and see you in Pittsburgh. *Hugs*

Rocket and Anthrocon.
Posted 10 years agoI will be wearing shirts with Rocket from Guardians of the Galaxy. I have 5 different shirts and each one has ONLY Rocket on it. I will wear one for each different day of the convention. Will probably wear my sabertooth shirt, also. If you see someone with a Rocket shirt on, it might be me. I am only 5'4" tall, so, not tall at all.
Where you might find me at Anthrocon.

Balto update.
Posted 10 years agoThe day that my spouse and I leave AC, we will head up to Cleveland to the Cleveland Museum of Natural History to see Balto there. I also found out that have a skeleton of a smilodon there. Cleveland is only about a 2 hour drive from Pittsburgh. so it won't take long to get there. It should be interesting, that's for sure.
A friend is gone.
Posted 10 years agoI found out today, through a mutual friend, that one of my best friends that I knew since 9th grade in school has past away. He wasn't a fur like I am or gay like I am, but he supported my ways and didn't give me any problem with that. We did have our differences, especially when he moved into my house, almost 3 years ago. He moved out almost 2 years ago and haven't seen much of him since. He never really got along with MY friends and he had his own way about things. He has an FA account, only because I had one. I never went to his funeral, cause his family didn't care for me, even though he treated me like a brother at times. He died about a month ago and he had many health issues, in his last few years on Earth.
Even though some people didn't care for you, may you finally get your RIP.

NYC Trip
Posted 10 years agoFirst of all, this isn't the first NYC trip I've done. This is the third time I been to NYC as a vacation or a trip that is planned.
We got there about 6:45am on Friday. Senko's friend met us up about 7am. We did a lot of walking. I did not want to drag the luggage around for hours with us. We walked through Time Square and passed a few places, like Radio City Music Hall. Even walked to the edge of Central Park, but we did not go in it at this time. We finally got to the Argentine Consulant(sp) so Senko can do what he had to do there, but turned out something was wrong with the internet in that block and they couldn't do what Senko needed to get done. Which was the main reason for this trip. After that we had lunch at some place nearby and it wasn't bad. A couple hours of walking around some more then we finally went to his friend's place. Once we got back to the house, we settled in and got ready for dinner. We ate at a local diner and the food was pretty good. After that we just went back to the house and chilled.
For Saturday, we went to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Both places were awesome, but I was more fascinated with Ellis Island then the Statue. There is ALOT of history here at Ellis Island and they have lots of info and pictures at The Island on the happenings that went on there. It's also pretty cool to see the restoration that went on there to become the museum it is. I, personally, can probably do one whole day at Ellis Island just for myself. We didn't get to see all the stuff there and they have 3 floors of stuff. After we left there, it was raining lightly out. I knew I should of worn pants, hate wearing shorts in the rain. On the way home we picked up some pizza at Oregano Joe's and brought it back to the house. The pizza was pretty good too.
Sunday was a solemn day for us. We went to The 9/11 Memorial and got pictures of the 2 holes with rushing water for where the 2 main towers were. Also got a few pix of One World Trade Center AKA Freedom Tower. That thing was TALL. It looks really cool. A lot of glass for the outside and when you see pix of it, you can see the reflection of the sky and it looks like it is all one thing. After that we went to Battery Park where Senko went nuts over more flags. It was pretty hot out this day. After Battery Park, we walked so Senko can find the Ghostbuster's station. But the walking got too much, so we took the subway back to Central Park, so we can get pictures at the Balto Statue. This wasn't my first time at the statue. I saw it 12 years ago, March. But, still. Every time I see it, it is like WOW!!! That statue is awesome and for what it represents. I dressed up inSabre, only as a partial and got some pix at Balto. After the statue, we walked passed The Zoo in the park. Place was crowded and had to wait in line for the bathroom. We then walked down 5th avenue and ended up at FAO Schwartz. This place was crazy big. 3 floors of stuff, even had their own Build-A-Bear inside. Also saw the piano from the movie BIG that Tom Hanks is in. We finally headed back towards Time Square, but it was still too hot, so I did not get any pix in suit there. We headed towards the station and headed back home.
So, we might head back to NYC in October, when it is cooler and maybe less wet. Hopefully get more fursuit pix done, too. Sorry about the long journal, but if anyone has a chance to go to NYC, do it. Especially go see the Balto Statue in Central Park.

Going to Syracuse
Posted 10 years agoJust heading to Syracuse for the day on Saturday. Mainly going to the Carousel Mall and browse around. Probably get something at Build-A-Bear there, since I have a $10.00 off coupon. So I probably won't be online much on Saturday.
Cell Phone Update.
Posted 10 years agoGot my new phone today and it's all activated. Back is business.
