Okay, so it's been forever since I posted on here but I figured maybe people will be interested maybe.

Anyway. The novel I was writing for  Nightwind005 is still an ongoing thing. I've had setbacks (like the computer breaking and I lost my edits and had to start from scratch when I stumbled across an original first draft online and idek what else has gone wrong) but I'm working on it now. I'm currently editing/rewriting chapter 3/4 and when I'm done, I'll be looking into getting it published while I work on the sequel.

I've got a writing tumblr here at chimerathoughts.tumblr.com which will be updated every so often with my progress, venting, other info about the story and whatever reblogged stuff I think is cool.

Also, I know I have some of the first chapters posted up here. I'll be removing those at some point, likely when my editing has caught up with them. For now, they remain.

Been a while since I last checked this site. A very long time, judging by the amount of messages I have - 3357 messages, divided into 2667 submissions and 690 journals. Good god.

I should come back here more often...

Anyway. Latest story to be uploaded is a Final Fantasy VII Compilation Alternate Universe fic. With the characters as wolves. ^_^

Been working at the novel lately, I promise. Just because I've not posted anything doesn't mean I haven't done anything. It's just taking a while for me to get things up to scratch.

Doesn't help that I wrote an entirely new short story on Saturday and that I have begun replotting an old idea I got way back in college -  Nightwind005 should know what I'm talking about if I mention Sasha and Jonathon? I hope. He was there for their creation after all. A lot of things have changed since I first began plotting that story and now even more has changed. No longer is it going to be a portal fantasy where the other world is something like Middle Earth or Krynn or something but now it will be more steampunk with influences of Studio Ghibli works and FF12. In theory anyway. How often does a story and the character obey what I want them to do? XD Need to do more research into steampunk though. XD

I meant to go out to Newcastle on Sunday. Completely forgot about it. Things have been a bit mixed up lately and now I'm all confused. ;-; Behind on my schedule too. Oh well. I'm not rushing anything anyway. I know I'll never be completely happy with anything I write but if I can get it to a standard where I am at least moderately happy with it, I'll be happier than I am now. XD

I'm moving all the currently posted chapters of Nightwind over to scraps as of now though. The new prologue will be up later today or tomorrow. Input would be greatly appreciated.

I have begun the editing process on Nightwind but it will still be some time before the entire thing is finished and at a more acceptable standard. I have a sizable chunk still missing from the middle but, thanks to  Nightwind005 I have a better idea of what to fill it with. The ending is half written but will need to be changed according to what is actually written in the middle, I think.

Considering I wrote my novel almost exclusively on a computer, the editing process involves more sellotape than one might think. When I think about how much this novel frustrated me as well as excited me, I realize how printing it out so I can scribble on it and cut it up and stick it back together can be incredibly therapeutic. So I printed out the first ten pages, only to realize that there was a chunk missing from the first chapter. O.O And this from the document I submitted for the final wordcount! I've since rectified that little problem but have yet to begin the editing process on that chapter.

One final note before I sign off - the currently posted chapters will be moved to scraps once I am ready to begin posting the new version. I'm sorry I had to stop posting the later chapters as I wrote them and I may yet post them up but directly into the scraps folder if anyone is interested in seeing them. A warning though - there are plotholes there big enough to swallow planets!

Not finished yet and there is a huge chunk missing out of the middle because I haven't been able to talk to  Nightwind005 about it and it needs so much editing it's not funny but I've beatend the 50k goal!

I shall be spending more time working on it, of course. I think I'll try to write the middle bit I skipped over and then finish off the end before I begin the edits though. I'm so pleased to have finally finished it tohugh.

My imagination lately refuses to supply more characters. So I'm calling on anyone reading this - if you want to volunteer your character to get shot/urned/mained/killed in some other way, PM me and give me details. -_- Nightwind said there were some people who wanted to do this but I don't have anything other than his word to go on.

Suffering the 30l Curse at the moment - it is that point when I have written so much and can see where to go from here but...I don't want to. Everything so far is terrible. Everything to come will be terrible. It's not quite writer's block - although I read recently that it doesn't exist. All I need is motivation.

That's why I'm going by the rewards system today to crank out the 5000 words I need by tonight. Every 1000 words, I'm allowed a treat. My next treat is breakfast. XD

Once I hit 40k, all will be good. The novel won't be other but it will be better. So long as I hit 50k by the 30th, all is well. But I suspect the novel will be at least 70k... But perhaps less than that after I edit it.

New chapter folks, and character death~ Muahahahahahaaaa~

But seriously, I wish the muse for that particular character would go away and stop bugging me for a side story in which he miraculously doesn't die and goes on to live a happy life. -_-;;;; Not happening, buddy.

Anyway~

I have been informed that there may be folk out there willing to offer their characters to be liquefied? So if there are any out there willing to be cannon fodder and die potentially gruesome deaths, note me or leave a comment or something and let me know~

....Actually, this is less a rant ad more... not-rant.

It's actually going well. I'm up to... um. Chapter7/8/9-ish? I still need to fiddle about with chapter breaks so they're more or less even but yeah, I've got enough to post one chapter a day for this week.

I've about two days ahead of schedule too, though I'm not sure this story is turning out anything like it was supposed to be. But it should be getting back on track soon. I just need to split the character up, kill a few more off... XD Good stuff.

And there might be a special bonus chapter full of gore later but I'll say no more on that for the moment.

You guys get two chapters today~ I hope I have some comments by the time I come back. I shall be internet-less over the weekend and shall have to do all my writing by hand. I'll have to type it all quickly on Monday night when I come back.

My nerves about this are quickly evaporating, I must say. I've just got a really good feeling about this novel. Like...I could finish this and maybe be happy with the result. Not perfectly happy and I'll likely hate everything I've written by the end of the month though. XD

But writing it has just given me a huge rush.

Gods. I'm nervous. This is my first time writing seriously with furry characters. I've used them before, in silly snippets I have never posted or shown to anyone but...

And already the characters are misbehaving. Callum should never have existed, Mink is getting impatient for attention and Nightwind...

Where do I begin? I'm sure he's completely OOC... but my excuse is that he's still 14. He's not yet grown, just filled with the normal teenage worries - is he gay or not? Should he help Callum sneak tarantulas into the girl's changing rooms? Will he pass his magic theory test on Friday?

...Darn but where's the real Nightwind when I need him? *frowns*

And my word count is not nearly high enough. The first chapter is way too short so I might just post it as a prologue. But it sucks so damned badly I'm almost afraid to. My Inner Editor is having a fit at the thought of me posting it as is. But he can shut the hell up. >.>

I have less than half the month in which to type up my story, but I'm doing it this year.

Nightwind~ I'm scrapping everything I've written so far for you. It's going to be my NaNo project this year. <3

So it occurs to me that maybe I should come here more often... I had 670 messages when I logged on today.

I don't know why I stay away so much. I look at all the great art and I get inspired to play with the characters I don't normally give so much attention to. My anthros need need as much love as the...uh...well, more human ones do. ^^;;;

Maybe I'll write a drabble or two tonight and post. ^^;

I have so many messages to get through it ain't funny. I really should keep on top of them better but I'm useless at that both here and on deviantart.

...which reminds me...I'm sure there was something I was due to post here. But what...? >_<

I've not heard back from the RPG group on LJ yet. Dammit, I've been thinking about it all week. I suppose it takes time to decide though. But what really annoys me is that I can't get into the Sephiroth mindset right now anyway.

And I'm supposed to be writing more of Somewhere I Belong. I was going to post it here but then I realised before I did last week that I'd have to change the file type. >_< I don't know if I can be bothered. It's not really like anyone would read it. >_< It's not porn. >_> Because so many people are filthy perverts here. *is trying to pretend she isn't one of them*

Seriously. There are things I should be doing. An AU Kingdom Hearts story, an application for an RPG on Livejournal and looking for work. But...I don't have motivation or energy. Not like I did last night. And I really want to talk to my friend Eco about Daisychain but she's not online. I won't have the chance tomorrow because I'm going to Iain's. I'll have to get my application form done tonight without any input from her. Dammit. I really wanted to ask her opinion. >_<

Anyway...I really should get it done. There's no one I can bounce Sephy ideas off tonight. Feck. Why did I agree to play such a complex character? Oh yeah...because I love to RP and I've been obsessed with Sephiroth for about 10 years now...

And then I will get the first chapter of Somewhere I Belong out of the way. That I aim to post tomorrow morning at the latest, if it's not too sunny to get on the computer. I can't stand sun glare on the screen but short of pitching a tent around the computer I can't do it. And the computer just overheats really quickly if I let my brother do his thing with the towels. >_<

And writer's block. I've got lots of stories to finish and I just can't bring myself to do it. Gods... Last time I picked up a pen, the words flowed so easily. Now I wish I hadn't stopped. Acantha could have fought thewyvern by now and maybe I'd have made a proper start on the Zemyx story that has been bouncing around my head.

But...there is some good news. In the absence of anything new to write, I took the time to spellcheck Forbidden Fruit. Now you can read it minus the accidental spelling errors. XD

And I really want to write something involving Organisation XIII. I've been playing KHII recently. The only reason I've stopped is because Xaldin kicked my ass well and truly. >_< I don't mind so much because he's kinda hot. Seriously, I don't know which member is my favourite. I seem to bounce from one member to another. One week, it's Demyx, then Zexion, then Axel, then Marluxia and now I'm obsessing over Vexen.

And I have a whole bunh of messages to go through and I can't be bothered. I'd delete them but what if one of them breaks my writer's block? Or inspires a new picture?

It's my birthday today. Whoo!

I was gonna finish stories to post them today but I fell asleep instead... >_> Ah well...next week, maybe? I don't know what's happening tonight but I might not have internet access until next weekend after my boyfriend gets here.

I need to find it fast. I have this huge need for Organisation XIII right now and I really do not want to have to start KH2 all over again. Defeating Demyx first time round was hard enough. *wails* Demyyyyyyyx! *sniffles* I adored him. :( I didn't want to beat him.

Also, I had an awful nightmare last night. I was supposed to be looking after the twins on my own but somehow they kept moving to different areas. I was doing my best to keep them in one place and stop them from crying and stuff but I also had to go outside and look after a bunch of random animals (including but not limited to goats, sheep, rabbits and a calf). It was winter and snowing so I brought the animals in but when I turned around, the twins were gone. I looked back outside and they'd somehow managed to get out through the closed doors and had already frozen to death.

It took me ages to get back to sleep after that.

And I have a col.d Ugh. So I feel crappy anyway. >_<

Not entirely sure why I'm updating this. There was something I meant to do today...several things. One of which was type the short story that I've posted. The others...um...I cna't remember. And I'm sure I was supposed to. Was there something I was supposed to do for someone? To someone? Crap... I stayed up all night and slept most of the day...I've probably missed whatever it was I meant to do.

And I am dying of thirst and all I have is limeade. I don't like limeade... ;_;

I am dying from need of horro here! Someone for the love of god tell me of something pants-wettingly scary. Like a movie or a book or a game or something! Please!

I have not been able to sleep too well these last few nights. You know why? Iain will not stop talking. It's almost constant! I get a few moments of blissful silence and then '...Are you happy?' >_> Yeah...was until you spoke.

Argh! It's been driving me mad! And most of the time when he stops talking, he's watching friggin' DBZ on his iPod... Twenty friggin' episodes for Goku to power up and goddamn but it's irritating.

And then he says I have to get up early and stuff in the morning. First time was because we had to go to Pauline's to help look after the twins. However, morning comes and Iain won't shift because he has a man-cold. Meaning a few sniffles, a blocked nose and it's the end of his entire friggin' world. I had to go alone. Not really a bad thing. I enjoy spending time with the babies. They're cute and fairly easy to look after. If they start crying, you shove a bottle in their mouths and pray it stops. If that doesn't, dangle a few toys in front of them, preferably ones that rattle.

It's funny watching Keiran get around though. He's launching himself across the floor like a frog - but without the power in the legs. XD It's great. And he rolls over all the time. So damn cute! Amelia just tends to lie there and put things in her mouth, preferably her feet. XD

We went bowling on Tuesday - me, Iain, Simon, Megan and Aidan. Watching Iain and Simon getting beaten by a six year old boy in two of the games is among the greatest things I've ever seen! XD They were getting really competitive too! And then Aidan gets a spare and a couple strikes and draws with Simon in the first game, wins the second and Megan won the third! Utterly fantastic! Personally. i didn't care for winning or losing but I did get a strike - "made all the worse by the fact she doesn't care" said Iain as I walked away. XD

Then food- McDonalds, so it barely counted but I got ice cream there, thanks to Iain. *hugs him*

And Iain's last lightbulb blew last night. We made toast just before I went to bed and I went upstairs, turned the light on and the bulb blew. Also put out the lights upstairs. Iain had to go down and flick a switch to get everything working again. And then I couldn't sleep because he kept talking and just when I do - the freaking burglar alarm goes off! Argh! No idea why, apparently but it did. Took me ages to get back to sleep and then the mobile alarm went off. I didn't have the energy to turn it off though - you know when you''ve been asleep and you wake up but you can't actually move? Like you're paralyzed or something? It was like that. Eventually it stopped and I went back to sleep.

Gods, btu I'm looking forward to Firday night! Sleep! As much as I friggin want! But not before I do the haunted hotel mission on Vamipre: The Masquerade - Bloodlines. I've started playing again, my usual character - female Tremere but I forgot to change the name Instead of Sabulana she's called Vestis, which I quite like. I'm doing pretty well so far - only the haunted house mission available at the moment I think. Gonna have to check.

Then I'm off to Steph
s for a sleepover on Saturday. We're going to the cinema to see Sweeny Todd. I got some money out of the bank today to pay for my ticket but I doubt I'll be able to afford sweets and stuff, which doesn't bother me. If she and Adam get popcorn or whatever, I'll snatch some off them. As long as they don't get lovey-dovey in the dark, all will be well though. But Steph will probably be too busy drooling over Johnny Depp to do anything with Adam. To be honest, they don't seem the type to do stuff in public anyway. XD

Anyway...this turned out like less on an angry rant than I expected but that's a good thing, right?

Anyway - art-wise and story-wise, I am working on stuff. I have a couple quick sketches to finish and make better before I post. I may scan them on Friday and put them in scraps if I don't feel like going straight to bed. I know I want to go to bed now. And I don't feel well at all. ;_;

# NY got me into SL properly this time. I signed up a while ago, logged on twice and then didn't bother with it. But now I really feel the need to play. It's a lot of fun once I overcome my shyness. >_> I know, it's online. These people cannot really see me but I still feel really shy talking to people. But then...that's how it started before I made any friends online. Now I have quite a few online buddies. I just need to get used to SL alone for a bit maybe.

But hanging out with Nightwind is a lot of fun.

Anyway, art-wise, I've posted a couple snapshots of SL. I've done a few more drawings but they suck at the moment. I'm taking my sketchbook plus pencils and stuff when I go out later. Maybe I'll improve my crappy little sketches.

And I have to go over Nightwind's sometime this week too. XD It will be awesome. Of that, I'm sure.
