I mentioned it before on my Facebook, but didn't elaborate. I've been approved for a prescription to wear contact lenses. I've had thick ass glasses literally my entire God damn life, so this is a HUGE deal for me! I have to take some kind of class in August to have them fitted correctly and be able to take them on and off.

How hard is it to get use to? What do you do to make it easy? Again, this is a big deal for me, and I really don't want it to fail on account of being a giant wus lol

We wake up this morning at 6am to my 5 year old, Finn, standing next to the bed with a blender container FULL of stuff.

Finn: Dad, I need your help.

Ian: Finn, what the hell?? What's in that!?

Finn: Bread. And tomatoes.

I've been away from the internet for a while, not just FA. No other reason than I want to focus on reality and the here and the now.

I'm in trauma therapy twice a week now. I'm not going to get into details, but there was a really traumatic event that occurred close to 3 years ago that really, really fucked me up, and the psychological damage has been significant. I've never realized how relatively lucky I've been in my life not to know what actual PTSD really feels like. The struggle for peace is real, and once I find it, I'm never going to let anyone take it from me again. That's a large reason I've been offline. Trying to rewire my brain and stitch myself back together as a person again. My husband, my kids, my friends, and family have been amazingly supportive, so no worries, I'm in good hands. I'll get through this.

Focusing on my all around health is another thing. I've dropped 40 pounds, with a goal of dropping another 20! Physically, I feel better than I did pre-pregnancy!

Also, I have a new job....as a sheep herder! Seriously, I'm not kidding! xD I have a working trained border collie, and we move sheep twice a week down in Massachusetts. I've been focusing on sharpening my stock sense to spread that out to cows, as I've been offered a job opportunity to move cows through the spring and into the fall at a local dairy farm, which is a whole different kind of herding, but my dog definitely has the ability to do it with the right direction!

I still draw, and my son now draws to! Our fridge is covered in stupid Sachi art, both from me and my 5 year old! XD Some things never change, and atleast I have that going for myself!

My goal is to heal myself so I can one day be able to get back to the furry scene without fear, flashbacks, or panic attacks. Perhaps even attend conventions again!

GUESS WHAT??? We're home owners now!! :D :D :D We closed on a 3 bedroom house last week! GUESS WHAT ELSE!? My husband bought me a border collie puppy from a breeder in NY!! :D :D :D :D GUESS WHAT ELSE!!!!??? I'm covered in quail chicks that we're eventually going to raise for eggs!! :D :D :D :D :D It was a toss up between quail or chickens, but quail are just to fucking hilarious, and everyone has chicken eggs around here. Thought quail eggs would stand a better chance at selling due to less competition and the health factors. AND I MEAN, YOU KNOW, QUAIL!! XD They're like dumb walking footballs lolol

Life is pretty fucking rad!!

We found an absolutely incredibly kind young couple, who, funny enough, want to sell their house so they can move into an RV and be free from financial tie of home ownership, and are wanting to do a good deed in the process by selling the house to us for way less than it's worth because they just want to leave. Ian and I were in that very spot years ago. Not with the home ownership thing, but with wanting the freedom that comes with living in a camper on public land. We swore we'd never buy a house because we didn't want to be chained financially to one spot and deal with the responsibility. What changed was we had kids, and along with that the realization that children really need stability, and a safe home where they are free to be themselves. One of the first things I'm going to do is put up a 6 foot fucking fence around the yard! Like a good neighbor, stay the fuck over there.... 🖕

The only thing we have to do is paint it so it passes the appraisal and we get our funding! It's got some chipping paint which won't pass as is right now, but the guy has a power washer he's going to let us use to blast the paint chips off with, and my step dad, who has access to a spray painter at his work, is going to let us borrow it so we knock this shit out in a day!

Finally, a light at the end of this tunnel!!

I'm alive and doing good! My lawyer, who rocks fucking hard, was able to settle out of court, and has arranged it so we can stay where we are until our lease is up end of April. meanwhile the housing market is slowly starting to improve, and we checked out a couple really nice houses in town. We haven't settled on anything yet, but I'm confident we'll close on something right around the time we leave the shit hole we're in now! Weeeeee!

So as I sit here on my couch, stuffing 50 sticks of string cheese into my face and contemplating life, I've decided to pop on FA and yap at you guys :V

First off, if anyone out there is interested in commissioning art from me tonight, my cheese stuffed ass would most humbly appreciate it! Things around here aren't "bad" necessarily, but shits happening a lot faster than we anticipated, and we need to come up with an assload of money quick! THERE WILL BE BUTT KISSING ABOUND IF YOU COMMISSION MEEEEEE!!

So, run down on life. Ya'll know from previous journals about the dumpster fire of a living situation we're in with our upstairs neighbors and the landlord. Basically, the dude upstairs and the walrus he fucks are from the deepest grossest parts of hell, and the innocent sound of babies laughing throws them into a frenzy of rage. In other words, they hate kids, and are freaking the fuck out over the sounds of our 4 and 3 year old running around in our downstairs apartment. We've dished out money on carpets and padding, but there's no stopping the kids. What they are doing is 200% normal for children their age. But despite that, they've unleashed a campaign of harrassment thats included jumping up and down on our ceiling, screaming at us from their window, and Christmas eve, coming downstairs and getting into my husband's face and threatening to beat him up. lolol Mind you, the guy is old as fuck XD Recently, they vandalized our backyard fence, so we set up security cameras. We've captured some hilarious videos of them dancing in front of the camera while flipping it off that I may make into a music video later down the road when I have more time.

What pisses me off though, is a lot of what they are saying about the kids are straight up lies, being said to make us look worse than we are and get us kicked out. Well, it worked. Because they've been long time residence here, the landlord is believing their word over ours, and is trying to evict us. Now considering everything that's happened with them over the last several months, I'm not sad at all about leaving. We don't deserve this bullshit, and neither do ours kids. But legally, we can't be evicted for child noise. The law protects against that, and doing so is a form of housing discrimination. We got a lawyer, and we're currently preparing to fight this in court next month.

As you all know, we were approved for a home loan, but the housing market is a joke right now, and won't pick up until spring, That's when we were planning to buy a house. If we leave now, we can stay with my mom until we get our house, but I'll be damned if we're being "evicted". We're going to fight it so they allow us to break our lease and allow us to leave on our own peacefully and with no penalty. Something we have a very good chance of winning.

So yeah, shits not great, but it could be way worse. The great thing about it is dealing with Old Man Sleezo, and his wife, Harambe, as brought my husband and I together in ways we haven't connected on in years! Nothing ignites the romance in a relationship than pissing off scumbags together!

People are fucking craycray. I may be offline for a while. I'm entering what looks like is going to be a nasty legal battle between myself, my landlord, and the upstairs tenants. One of these days when I have the headspace to explain, I'll give more detail, but essentially the asshole above us hates kids, is making up lies about just how loud our toddlers are, and the landlord is siding with him despite his campaign of harassment he's unleashed on us, including threatening to beat up my husband in front of our 4 year old, because the guy has been a long time renter here, and we're now being threatened with eviction. Oh don't worry though, I've documented a LOT of this shit and got a lawyer back in October when I sensed it was going to potentially come to this. I'm tenacious and don't fuck around when it comes to my children. We'll be fine :) But obviously, I have my hands very full, and have no time for douching off online. I'll be back when shit calms down!

Just got approved by the bank for a home loan! And at a great time to, because creepy old bastard upstairs is fucking creepy (and, you know, an old bastard). Seriously, we are sooo done with renting. So! Next few months are going to be super busy! Our lease is up in May, and we hope to have our new home by then!

Yeah, I know. I haven't been around much lately. In part it's because my 4 year old has been crashing in our room lately, which is where my desktop is set up for art, and, you know, it's a little awkward drawing dog dicks in the presence of a smol child xD

But also, another hobby of mine has taken off into a small business. This past summer, I began breeding show mice, and wouldn't you know it, there's actually a market for them. Like, a huge market. I'm in the process of launching my own small animal delivery service for the north east, and for the east coast when we buy our house this spring. This has taken a LOT of my time from art, but as you guys can see, it's for very good reasons!

So I start drawing last night when I hear my 4 year old come out of his room. He comes down the hallway, more asleep than awake, carrying his sonic doll and like 20 toy gears into my room and imediately turns around and goes the other way when he sees me, than comes back in, flops down on the floor next to the bed, and drags the comforter off the bed next to him on the floor and goes to sleep. Needless to say I wasn't able to finish drawing.

I don't normally make "what I'm thankful for" Thanksgiving Day journals. Of course, it's only been 10 fucking years since I've been active on FA XD But I don't think I did back then either. Still, I feel like I need to say something today. Needless to say, a lot has happened over the past 10 years since I was last on here. I have a LOT to be thankful for in my life. But I've also suffered something fierce in recent years. I'm dealing with psychological wars most of you know nothing about. I've been brutally hurt by people I really loved and never expected to be hurt by.

Tonight I'm thankful for you guys, particularly those of you who have been here from the beginning. Those of you who have not only been a fan of me as an artist, but simply a fan of ME. True friendship is invaluable. You guys are invaluable, and I'm so grateful for you. I promise to never drop from FA again without giving you guys some way to stay in contact with me <3 <3 <3
