This weeks art and future updates on commissions
Posted 14 years agoThis week,
has rented me, and thus most art that's going to be shown will be for him :)
After this week, I think I'm going to take a break from weekly rentals, but I WILL be open for individual art commissions if anyone is interested in those. I'm pretty modest about my art and art skills as a whole, so I don't have any set prices, but rather run off donations. In other words, I allow you to pay whatever you feel is fair. Only thing I ask is you pay up front and through paypal.
Also, if anyone is interested,
is now making really, really nice yarn tails :D Currently he has a lovely raccoon tail on auction that you can find here: http://www.thedealersden.com/auctio.....tion_id=106462 but he is also taking on a few commissions. Check out his page for more info.

Moving to Kentucky in 2 weeks!
Posted 14 years agoSo most of you know
and I work seasonal jobs which are spread out across the country. This is really nice for us, because we work the fall, winter, and spring, save our money, and spend the summer doing whatever the hell we want. Well, our summer vacation is drawing to a close and we'll be starting up work at Amazon, at the Camblesville, KY location. We'll be there until the very end of December, and then we'll be heading back out west to Flagstaff, AZ, but while in Kentucky, I'd love to maybe meet some local furs and make friends :3 If you're in the area, let me know! :D

and I walked into a law firm, and said "I do" before the Justice of The Peace, and then promptly took off for Canada. We've been married for 1 whole year today but have done more stuff in this one year then most people have done in 10. I fucking love you, Ian, with ALL my heart!! Sharing my life with you has been without a doubt the greatest gift I've ever received. To say I'm a lucky girl is an understatement <3 <3 <3 <3Can I do a little bragging for a moment?
Posted 14 years agoI ALWAYS feel lucky to have my dogs, but I'm feeling particularly lucky and proud of them as of lately, for no real reason other then the fact that they're MINE.
As most of you know, we just recently adopted a Blue Heeler, Marlin, and if you don't know, well, you do know :D This was a big change for Charlotte, who is use to having us all to herself and is real picky about who her dog friends are. I'm extremely proud of her for accepting him so quickly and allowing him to share her space with little to no fuss. The very few and rare occurrences where there has been tension, I'm proud of her for backing off and avoiding conflict without me even having to say anything.
I'm proud of Marlin for being so gentle and respectful of Charlotte, and treating her like the queen she thinks she is. I think it's really good for her head. I think part of her issue with other dogs is a fear issue, and I think having Marlin around, who has become protective of her, has made her feel more comfortable over all. You can see the change in her. She's soo much happier and at ease with the world. I'm proud of how well they communicate with each other. They do it better then a lot of people I know.
I'm proud of Marlin and how quickly he adapted to us and came to trust us. I know he's extremely loyal to his old owner and his first night here was very, very difficult for him. I'm proud of how well his listens to us when we ask him to do something.
This living arrangement is exactly how I had hoped it would turn out, and I couldn't possibly be happier. I feel like the luckiest person alive to have these two dogs! :D

NEW DOGGIE!! :D
Posted 14 years agoSo after months and months of poking and prodding, Ian finally caved and we got a second dog! :D Mainly I wanted one to act as a companion for Charlotte, but also because I thought it would be fun to have another dog :3 Last night we made the drive up to Rutland, VT to pick up a 6 year old Blue Heeler named Marlin. We were real nervous about this since Charlotte is real picky about what dogs she likes, but she LOOOOOVED Marlin imediatly.
So YAY dogs! :D Check out my scraps for pics of him! :3

Posted 14 years agoMost of you who have been watching me for ages already know this, and I feel like it's all pretty self explanatory, but just so everyone out there is on the same page, Sachi is NOT a child or a "cub". She's an ADULT FERAL raccoon and all my adult sexual art that she's depicted in she is VERY MUCH OF AGE.
That is all :D
That is all :D
Open for being RENTED again! :D
Posted 14 years agoI've finished my two week long rentle period with
and am available for another week if someone else is interested in renting me. The perks on this is basically $50 will get you one whole week of my undivided attention. I will pump out as much art as I can possibly do in one week, including full colored pictures, sketches, doodles, whatever you'd like me to do! :D This is a first come first serve thing, so note me if your interested ^-^

Posted 14 years agoI've been flip-flopping in my mind about weather or not I wanted to write up a journal like this for a while now, but since furry is very serious bizness, I've been kind of sweeping it under the carpet and sort of blowing it off. Up until a serious conversation with my husband a couple nights ago, sitting in front of the fire in the woods, got me thinking about some things in regards to Sachi.
I've been on FA for the better part of 5 years now, and during that time you've all known me and my character as Sachi, the white raccoon. It wasn't long before I joined FA that I had discovered the fandom, but let me tell you, I had a fursona looooooooooong before that. That sounds so fucking cliche', since everyone and their mother has had a fursona long before they knew about the fandom, but in my case it's 100% true. Sachi, while as adorable as fawk, and I absolutely love her to death, has NEVER been my real personal fursona. I created her way back in my earlier days in the fandom for reasons that don't even exist anymore (and to be totally honest were kind of childish...but I won't touch on that) and just kind of turned into my fulltime avatar. I used her to represent me online, but the truth is I've never really felt a very strong connection to her. I think I just sort of got use to using her as my avatar since people got to know me as her being my character.
I created Shakou ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6353273/ ) when I was 8 years old, around the time I first discovered the internet. Shakou is a white wolf with blue eyes (yeah yeah, I know, but trust me, I created her before there were BAZILLIONS of those online too -_-). I created her after finding a wolf role-playing forum, and she's stuck with me ever since. Over the years, I've twisted and tweaked her personality, history and morals until I grew to know her inside and out. Shakou has ALWAYS represented myself far better then any other character that's ever popped out of my head and always been the character I've connected the most with.
Shakou is my personal fursona and always has been. Sachi is just a cute ass character, and one of MANY, who has popped out of my head over the years and made herself infamous on FA, but that's about where her relation to me stops. This doesn't really change anything, it's just something I thought I'd clear up with everyone. If you need to consider ME personally as an animal for the sake of furry, consider me a white female wolf, not a raccoon.

Posted 14 years agoRENT ME!
Posted 14 years agoI've seen other artists on FA do this with success, and since I'm in DIRE NEED of money, and currently have lots of time on my hands, thought I'd give this a try!
I'm offering myself to be "rented out" for the entire week for $50. This means for $50, you have my full and undivided attention for one week in which I pump out as many pictures as humanly possible, be it pictures you request, or just pictures I come up with off the top of my head. Everyday, there will be a new picture for you! This includes full coloreds, sketches, doodles, everything!
I'm only doing this for one individual a week, so it's a first come first serve. And again, this is for a good cause, because I REALLY need the money! Please comment below or note me if interested!

Pregnancy possibilities
Posted 14 years agoI wanna apologize in advance if this entry sounds a bit scattered. My mind isn't fully functional tonight. So there is a very high possibility that I may be pregnant. Infact, Ian and I are pretty much 98% sure I am. My last period was at the very end of June. Not long after, Ian and I took off on a bike trip. On this bike trip, I came down with a URI and we went back home so I could get treated for it with antibiotics. Antibiotics cancelled out my birth control pills. My period should have been here a week and a half ago. My energy this past week has been at an absolute zero. Last night I started getting really sick, experiencing vomiting and dizziness, and have been just feeling like crap since. Then this morning I freaked the fuck out hardcore in a very uncharacteristic way that I haven't done since I was a teenager. I was in complete and utter hysterics, crying, throwing up and cowering in a corner for about an hour like I was some kind of cornered animal. THIS. IS. NOT. ME.
In addition to all this, I've been told that animals can detect pregnancy in women. I pointed out to Ian about a week ago about how Charlotte has uncharacteristically started sleeping at the entrance to our bedroom. She either sits there and looks in, or she lays down, but will NOT enter unless we call her in. This isn't Charlotte's personality. She's never been afraid to enter the bedroom before. Infact, she prefers the rooms we sleep in. We took a pregnancy test and it came back negative, but I've been told that means nothing and to get it done professionally. So next Monday, we're heading to the doctors to get officially tested. If we ARE expecting like I have a feeling we are, this isn't necessarily a good thing but it's by no means a bad thing either. We were planning to actively start trying to conceive next spring/summer after we got some things squared away anyways. This would just mean we'd have to start squaring those things away a LOT faster. In the end, I know we'll figure something out and we'll be okay. I guess I'm just scared because 1. I've never been pregnant before and that fact alone frightens me and 2. I've never been that good at dealing with change.
Not much else to say I guess. Just needed to vent is all.

FAT BUNNY CONTEST COMMISSIONS! :D
Posted 14 years agoSo, I decided to participate in the fat bunny contest going on right now. http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2583126/ Basically the idea is to draw as many people's characters as fat bunnies. Whoever draws the most fat bunnies WINS. And I love bunnies. AND FAT THINGS, so this is going to be a lot of fun!
I'm offering to draw people's fursonas as fat bunnies for $3 each. This will just be a basic, but fully colored picture of your character as a fat bunny (duh). SO YEAH!! YOU SHOULD ALL COMMISSION ME TO DRAW YOU AS A FAT BUNNY LIKE RIGHT NAOW!! 8D

Art commissions OPEN! Plus pottery :D
Posted 14 years agoIf you messaged me about doing a commission, and I was unable to get back to you, I apologize. It's been really busy and hectic these past few months, as we were off on a bike trip for a while. But we're back and stable now, so if you're still interested, let me know!
On a side note, I've been really getting into making pottery lately. Like a lot. This is something I may be able to offer up for commissions in the future on a limited basis, if anyones interested. I'll post more about this at a later date :3

Cleanin' house
Posted 14 years agoJust an FYI I'm cleaning out some of my older work in my gallery that I no longer wish to associate with/no longer has meaning to me. Since most of this stuff is old as sin, I doubt it's going to be a huge deal, but if you want any of it for yourself, I'd save it now! :O
Update on my life
Posted 14 years agoThought I'd throw out an update to those wondering how I'm doing ^^
Ian and I are still in Keene. Our original plans were to be gone on bikes by now, but once we got here and got set up, we didn't want to go anywhere. I've really missed my family and friends out here, and for as much as I HATED Keene over the past few years...I've really missed it while I was gone. I've really come to appreciate all the green that's up here in comparison to the South West. We've taken up our old spot back in the woods where we were last year. It's great being reuinited with all our lovable drunks after dealing with the sketchy, not-so-lovable drunks down in Asheville.... I really miss Shawn and his coydog, Athena, who lived in the car next to us in the Walmart parking lot though.

Athena, the coydog.
Ian and I are approaching our 1 year marriage anniversary this September. We've hit our little bumps and arguements that all couples face, but it's been a very fun, happy, and loving relationship/marriage. I've learned and grown a lot with Ian this year and gained back a lot of my confidence that I lost over the past few years. For example, for the first time ever in my entire life, I made fire. For those that know me, you'll know that I have a mild case of pyrophobia. I'm terrified of fire, and wouldn't even sit next to a contained bonfire, let alone start one. But I did, and had it not been for Ian's encouraging and supportive nature, I doubt I ever would of had that self confidence :)
http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e....._5171681_n.jpg
My first fire! :D
I also give him points for extreme loyalty to the point where it's dangerous. Earliar this month, something very unusual happened in Keene that has NEVER happened in my lifetime. Keene was under a tornado watch. We were out in the woods when we got the news that a tornado was heading our way and I instantly started to panic when I couldn't find Spore. The wind was so hard it started knocking down trees and the sky grew blackThe lightning was so bad, it was actually touching down on the earth. And then the hail came...hail stones the size of golf balls. But I refused to leave without Spore. Ian knew there was no arguing with me and that there was no way I'd have left my cat out in the woods during a tornado, despite the danger we were in. So rather then taking off and heading for safety himself, he stayed right by me the whole time. He told me if staying out there in a tornado to wait for Spore was what I truly wanted to do, he was prepared to sit out there with me and face whatever was coming our way together. I've never had that kind of devotion from anyone before. Who the fuck does that? Eventually we did find Spore and were all able to get out of there, safely.
We spend a lot of time at my mom or dad's house during the really shitty weather. Currently, we're in the process of trying to sell/trade our Subaru Outback for a 250 truck, and then build a camper onto the back, kind of like this:
http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e.....er-517x274.jpg
We have some really good friends who are masters at building structures who are willing to help us. This is what we plan to live in for the next year, and then we'll be getting something much larger, like a 30 foot travel trailer, to pull behind the truck when we have kids. That way we can live in the trailer, but still have our homemade thingie for projects and maybe a small buisness. I've taken some pottery classes while in Keene and seem to be getting really good at it. Maybe we could make it big enough to fit a pottery wheel in and use a kiln elsewhere, and I could sell pottery, who knows :3
That's our big project for this year. This October, we're going to be doing a workcamp ordeal with Amazon.com down in Cambleville, Kentucky. We're going to be staying on a campground, renting a trailer from the campground owner for $250 a month. The rest of the campground fees, electricity, etc. is paid for by Amazon! :D We're going to be down there from October until Christmas, working our asses off fulltime in their warehouse. The work is not going to be easy, and it's 40+ hours a week, but they pay EXTREMELY well, and get a large bonus if we stay until the end of December, so we'll be loaded by the time we leave. After that, we're heading back to Flagstaff, so ian can do his H&R job. I'll probably go back to the college, and we'll live out of our camper thingie, and continue to save our money.
After that, come summer, we've been talking about driving from Arizona to Alaska with Charlotte and Spore, and spending some time up there. I was suppose to go to Fairbanks back in 2009, but was unable to after my big sister unexpectedly passed away. So we're going to try this again. We'll have we'll have way more then enough money by that point.
While we're up there, we may start trying seriously to concieve a child :)
So that's my life's update. Again, it won't be often I post on here, and you're MUCH better off just following me on facebook for daily updates. Ta ta!

Ta ta!

The one year that I actually have the transportation and money to go, I've decided not to xD Really we've been ALL. OVER. THE. COUNTRY. and I just want to take a rest before our bike trip. So, sorry guys :[
In other news, some of you will be happy to hear that even though my online work has stopped, my traditional art has taken off. I bought some colored pencils and have been drawing like made in the tent, in the car, under trees in the park, etc. I hope to be able to upload them at some point :3
