Who is up for an Art Collab?
Posted 2 years agoBack from Las Vegas FurCon, what a ride, it was great seeing everyone from the coast again and meeting some fun gremlins from the south. Great energy and because we were all away from the strip, we didn't even lose too much money! (we still lost, roulette is a bitch)
I am looking to do either the sketch or line work and have someone else color OR vice versa, with me doing the colors. If you are interested DM me!
NEXT CON : FWA 2023 (?) | CFT 2023 (?) | MFF 2023 (?)
NEXT FESTIVAL: ELECTRIC FOREST 23 | ANJUNA WEEKENDER 2023 | OUTSIDE LANDS 23 (?) | BURNING MAN

Resuming Game Development
Posted 2 years agoHope everyone's new year started on the right foot/claw/paw, couple updates from the monkey!
Getting back into game development after a brief hiatus. I am switching up engines, since what caused the last break were the limitations of what I could accomplish with RenPy, great fro linear visual novels, but deceptively tricky for anything else, plus its better to leverage the existing skills I has working as a commercial developer, so there really isn't any reason not to use Unity or Unreal. I went ahead and pulled some neat text engine packages from the unity store which brings me back up to feature parity with RenPy, and now I have a full script and asset management engine at my finger tips, based on the workflow that I have been demoing, it is super intuitive, even if my SCM / version control options still appear to be limited, if anyone has experience with code and asset / versioning with Unity, let me know in the comments below!
I opened up for commissions for the first time and will be open till the slots are full so if you were hoping to grab some art from me let me know!

Happy Holidays!
Posted 3 years agoIt's getting cold and chilly up here in North America, back from my UK vacation, I was thinking to myself that I really ought to visit more tropical destinations, maybe get some tanning in.
Wishing everyone who views this a wonderful holiday season and of course, a happy New Year as well. 2022 was a solid year for me, good things happened in my life, and I think I made more progress drawing in 1 year than I had in the past 10, I don't know what changed to be totally honest, but it may be that for the first time in a while, my job allowed me more time to myself, at least compared to the last 3 or 4 years of working remote.
Like many of my new and existing home office boyos, balance is everything, I am lucky enough to get on with my job without too much anxiety or stress, but at the end of the day, like I am sure it is for the majority of us, leaves me unfulfilled spiritually, creatively, etc. No surprise to anyone who is here on FA/Furry Twitter/etc, while I am sure this IS the job for a few of us, for me it's my daily mental floss, picking out the bits of corporate plaque built up in between my frontal lobes wrinkles and keeping me going. I have been using the time I have to apply myself in areas like proportion, perspective, and line quality.
So now that 2022 is almost over, some of the things I want to focus on for the next year are workflow optimization and shading. It takes me a long time to do a render, and when I am a more than 60% done with something, even if I am not satisfied with the base sketch or pose, I feel the compulsive need to finish it, because at that point, even for a single subject, it can take me upwards of 6-8 hours to get past my line-work stage. I feel if I walk away from the piece and set it down, I become uncomfortable with the amount of time "wasted" by not finishing it. If I spend less time working faster to get to that stage, I wont feel as bad walking away, and I can get there by mastering shortcuts. I have tried keyboards configs, my Wacom has side buttons that I bungle constantly; terrible hand eye coordination, I don't play as many video games as I used to... Any tips for the dexterously challenged would be helpful and appreciated.
Another thing I want to work on are more game projects, the last project I worked on was in 2021, so its been almost 2 years since I put something out, and as a goal for 2023 I will change that, lord knows I have a lot of assets from working on an unreleased VN, I may repurpose the VN into a point and click.
Last thing I want to work on is nailing down a style, so that when you look at my artwork, you don't have to look at my signature all the way at the bottom, bold and sanserif'd as it may be :^)
Santa better take note here I got a lot of asks, see you all in the New Year!

Posted 3 years agoFurther Confusion 2023
Posted 3 years agoExcited to be attending again after having the 2022 FurCon cancel. Simply wild to think about, but it would be 3 whole years since the last FC happened. Fur Con has a special place in my heart as the first big-con I ever went to waaaay back when; while I have been focused mainly on music festivals this year, for 2023 I will try to focus primarily on con attendance, starting with FC2023.
Art Tutorials
Posted 4 years agoDoes anyone have some good ones, especially for shading, drawing hands,
and lastly fabrics? I draw all my characters naked because this is a horny account
but also that my fabrics and clothing leave a lot to be desired. Anything ya got,
just throw it to me.

Quarantine Update
Posted 5 years agoReally nice to get behind the tablet again, I think the whole pandemic thing's silver lining is that, for some of us whose life is moving fast, we have had the brakes
suddenly applied. For me, I have had the chance to do more cooking, and to do the things that in the past brought me great joy (art). I think after this whole ordeal
is over, I will set some time aside to continue what I have been doing these past couple of days. Hope everyone stays safe <3

Posted 11 years agoJust scored Friday and Saturday at the Marriott for a grand total of 756.90.
So the rooms have two doubles, I got one bed available and whoever wants to crash
on the floor. Lemme know!!

FC 2015
Posted 11 years agoI'll totally be there! Don't know what floor I will be on but I will probably pull a room at the Marriott like last year.
"NO ROOM RESERVATIONS? IS HE INSANE?"
-Probably, but someone always cancels and Im a busy dude, I never know what I am doing until
a month in advance. It's kinda shitty but the only thing I can do is be like water and flow.
The part I hate about FC is waiting for my con pass anyway. I might actually order ahead this time!
