Hey guys, one of the cool things about being in the furry fandom is being able to choose just about every aspect of yourself. You can be reinvented into another being and group and it can be accepted by just about everyone else here. That is something that you never could do in real life. You didn't choose to be a person, that's just how you were born. BUT, if you could choose what species, gender, family, and universe you were born into, is the whole thing being being a furry.

SO, I wanna know, why did you choose to be who you are in this fandom? Or, perhaps you didn't really choose, but instead felt driven or persuaded to be a certain way? I don't know, tell me! :3

Mi came about a while ago, and I've never really changed who she is, except for minor details, her basic design is the same. I chose a dragon because I think dragons are unique, majestic, intelligent, powerful beings, and I admired them like crazy. In every fairy tale, I sided with the dragon. I envied the power to control fire and glide through the air with ease. In a word, I was obsessed. However, Mi is not always the rough and tumble dragon she is capable of being. She is a being of great love and caring, and unless she's in one of her moods, tries to avoid being grumpy. Her personality is pretty much mine, just a more enhanced version, mixed in with a little bit more of who I wish I could be. A little more outgoing, a little less annoying at times. I make her someone who I would admire and aspire to be like.

If there is one thing I've learned about fur cons, its that they are unpredictable. Rainfurrest was the first one I've ever had the pleasure of attending and DAYUM. It was AMAZING.
Of course it had it's ups and downs, but that varies between everyone and isn't inherently the con's fault either.
I met some awesome new people! Got to derp around in suit for a while, and arguably the best part (aside from getting flat out drunker than I've ever been at our makeshift room party Friday night) was the ART JAM!!!!
I didn't know a thing like this existed! It was awesome to trade art randomly! I love drawing other people's characters and it was a primo place to do that!
I got some sweet art, I think I will color it and upload it here. :3 Of course I will put all of your lovely names on them, so everyone knows where it came from!
The dancing was amazing. I wish I could have gone more. I was also inspired to try and remake my suit. There were so many beautiful ones there.
Also I had the pleasure of meeting  auracomicobsessed and he has convinced  hirurux and I to attend the Biggest Little Fur Con in Reno next year! SO that might be a thing that happens. It was such a blast and I am glad I met so many great people. Please give me a shout or comment if I met you!

Hey all. I'm kind of in a bind here... my car died. Like DIED died. Something so wrong with it happened that it would cost triple what it's worth to fix. Goodbye Mo, my friend.
Well time for a new beginning, just one problem, my job sucks. I haven't been able to find a new one yet. In short, I have no money. All the money that I'm getting is going to buy unimportant things like food.
However, I NEED a car. My car is my freedom. I use it to get to school every day, 20 miles from my home. (No, that's not an exaggeration. My school is really far) Without it, I feel helpless. Lately I've been getting by by mooching my mom's car, but she needs that car and I can't continue to use it like I am.
So I'm running around like a chicken with it's head cut off in search of a better job. So far no luck, obviously.

I just watched that show My strange addiction, and it has a furry episode on it, which caused me to think about myself as a furry really. xD I definitely think of it as another part of myself, an extension of my brain that allows me to really be who I've always wanted to be, not a dragon, but rather a picture of who I want to be as a human being. I do not think that being a furry is harmful, in any way, save for the times that people get a little too into it, start obsessing, and doing sexual things in a manner that is not healthy. The person in the show was not at all obsessing either, and I think the show was stretching things to try to make it a freak show. I love being a dragon. :3 I've met friends due to it, and fursuiting is awesome. x3
Just thought I'd write down some of my thoughts. Feel free to let me know your thoughts about this as well. :3

Today I visited the Woodland Park Zoo located in Seattle, WA. I had been there many times previously, and seen nearly every animal exhibit. One of the highlights of the Woodland Park Zoo is the remarkable Snow Leopard enclosure. Recently, the resident Snow Leopard, Helen, gave birth to three baby snow leopards, and this is amazing! Unfortunately, one of the babies was lost, but the two females that remain are precious ambassadors of a disappearing species. As I watched the proud mother care for her cubs, my heart melted and I wanted to help these amazing cats. I discussed with the zoo attendant at the station about how rare these animals were. As we left the zoo today, they would not leave my thoughts. I decided I wanted to learn as much about them as I can, and do something to help them.
Snow Leopard Trust, an organization based in Seattle, WA is dedicated to helping the Snow Leopard escape extinction and working with the locals who live near Snow Leopard environments. Please consider donating to help the great white cats of Asia.
Meanwhile, I have thought about different things that I can do to help. I would like to write maybe a children's story book that doubles as a coloring book and donate the proceeds to the Snow Leopard Trust. Perhaps I will do a painting to sell on eBay and donate. I really feel that I can make a difference and use some of my time to help the Snow Leopards that I so recently have fallen in love with.

Does anyone else use the background lighter setting? I personally prefer it, but the banner will not change as long as I'm in the light mode. :/ I've changed back and forth, and I see the new banners in the darker setting, but it still will not change in my preferred one. Excuse me, but I was wondering if anyone encounters a lot of art thieves on FurAffinity. I know that people will upload pictures done of their commission, but I don't consider that art theft, as the person bought the picture and that's just part of FA's policy.
Perhaps it is because dA is a more well known site, but I just see a lot more people using dA as a place to upload stolen art rather than FA. Am I wrong in assuming this?
