I had to put down one of my chickens today. She had lost all her weight and had no feathers left, and this morning I found her writhing on the ground in pain.
This was after she was attacked by a Opossum the night before.

I tried to be gentle putting her down, but...
It was more than I wanted to do, lets say that.

I just feel so bad, that was the first time I had to put down an animal.
It feels terrible, and I wish to anyone who reads this that never has to happen to you.

Im sorry my sweet birdy. You shouldn't have had to go like that...
But shes in a better place now. May she rest in peace.
