So my Alpha & Omega review has had a copyright claim filed on it by some bullshit Hungarian film company, which means youtube won't let me post new videos until late February. Unless you guys can recommend a generous copyright lawyer for me to consult with, I'm not comfortable with filing a counter notification. Youtube changed their dispute processes and they've put up a lot more roadblocks than with the old system and I don't trust this new one won't get me in trouble if I take action. Until then, I'm gonna try to find a new video hosting website.

...but I want it made clear that I'm coming back under protest. I still stand by that Weasyl is so much better than FA, but the cold hard fact of the fandom is this place is like heroin for you fur-brains. It's hazardous to your health, but you just can't get enough of it and the methadone of Weasyl just doesn't bring you the same high as FA does.

So because FA will always be the youtube of the furry fandom, I am begrudgingly making a return as soon as I post my next review. I won't be watching as many people here as I am at Weasyl though, since nearly everyone who uses both posts their stuff on both sites. Expect a defeated return before the end of the month.

I find this recent downtime that FA just went through to be absolutely inexcusable. Eight or nine days of crash or read only mode is usually the result of something the IT staff really should have seen coming and thusly it really shows how incompetent they are. Coupled with the fact that way too many users of this site treat it like it's the only horse in the stables, I now have more than enough incentive to close my FA account and empty everything. I am now in the process of clearing out my watchlist and alerting all my friends about my move. If any of you still want to find me, I will be on Weasyl from now on.

To my friends and watchers,

It has come to my attention that there are many, many, many furries out there who wear the title of "popufur" with pride. Usually, these people are ... actually very horrible people. They're popular for the same reason stuck up bitches and prigs in high school were popular. They're obnoxious douchebags who talk about people behind their backs and it's almost always easier to get into their beds than it is to get into a church on Sunday morning. These people don't deserve any attention from any people at any time.

There are, however, certain popular individuals in the fandom who actually deserve their popularity. People who work hard at what they do and reap the benefits of people who enjoy what they do and don't ever dare let them stop. People like Uncle Kage or 2 the Ranting Gryphon. Or if you think those two are too obvious, people like Blotch or Syber at MadeFurYou. These people are certainly "popufur", but I don't consider them to be popufurs. I would never dare group them with those prom king and queen rejects.

My friend DJ Wicked Wolf and I decided to come up with a whole new term to differentiate the popufurs who don't deserve attention from anyone from those who actually HAVE a human soul. And the word we came up with is "furlebrity."

Now we can, with ease, say that popufurs are awful wretches who are going to die alone without worrying about including furlebrities who actually deserve the praise they're getting.

And if someone out there says a furlebrity doesn't deserve attention either, the person who's saying it is probably a popufur!
