Posted 14 years agoSo, I'm back from MFF. It had its ups and downs, but overall, I had a good time. I got to meet up with a few people I know from IRC and Twitter. Got two badges of Pyrova made, and now I am starting to think her badges are starting to outnumber my main fursona's. I have no real objection to that, though.
I'm probably going to write more later, not really sure what to say. Honestly, my emotions were going in circles all weekend. So on that note, I would like to apologize if I seemed awkward towards anyone who had met me.

picking up the pen, again
Posted 14 years agoI have sworn, many times, that I would get back to my writings and work on my projects. I've been slacking, a lot. Mostly due to lack of motivation. Recently, I have gotten the ability to dream again...something I had lost five years ago. The fire inside that drove me to do the things I enjoy has been sparked.
Last week, I began work on a new website. Well, it's more like an evolution of an old incarnation, where Kitsuria Network began 8 years ago. It is a Digimon site, and most specifically, it is going to be roleplaying and home to a few stories. There will be more, but I cannot say everything here. Other than the fact, I am also using this new site as a base to improve my coding skill.
Kitsuria will not be shut down in favor of the new site, however. I am still working on it, but not focusing too much energy on it. I've come to realize, I've done enough. At least, as far as the community goes, it's good enough. There's still content to work on, but that's it. Namely, this content is the main story that I've been working on and off for seven years. Yes, I'm getting back to work on that. Once again, though, I am starting fresh. Primarily, it's because I am not satisfied with how the characters are portrayed.
So I got a few new things ahead of me, as far as Writing goes. I'll be focusing more on the Kitsuria story, since I already know what I want for it.

giving a digimon a ride home

I don't recall all the details of this dream. I do know it was during the Tamers era, or took place in its universe...something like that. First it started out with me watching an episode of Digimon, fiddling with the seek bar. It was presumably the episode with Alice and Dobermon, though the events that transpired were not the same.
The next thing I remember was somewhere outdoors, probably in the city near a park. Apparently, I was waiting to meet up with a digimon for some reason - perhaps a mission or something. This Digimon turned out to be something similar to a Houndoom. I think I even referred to it as such. Though, let's just call it a Dobermon.
The dream fast-forwarded to us walking in a store, searching for a Tamer. I am going to assume this person was named Alice. Dobermon assumed a human form, probably to blend in better with the public. We met Alice, and tried talking to her. Well, I did most of the talking, since Dobermon couldn't communicate well as a human. I do remember him saying something along the lines of "You know me." We eventually told her to meet us outside. Alice did seem to recognize us, and I think there was some recollection of Dobermon living in Alice's house. For some reason, she looked familiar to me, as well. Maybe in this universe, Tamers were gifted with the ability to recognize each other. Or, she just reminded me of someone I know.
Anyway, as we were walking out of the store, Dobermon held up some pieces of paper that were supposedly to be used as cue cards. He told me that I should have used those. The words "You know me" were written on one of them.
The dream skipped ahead once again. Dobermon, Alice, and I were in my house. Apparently, we were supposed to bring Dobermon home. We were also running late. I quickly changed my clothes to something more presentable (I was wearing cut-off shorts and a cruddy t-shirt at this point). I also grabbed two digivices - a D3 and a D-arc. My intuition had told me something would happen that would interfere with out mission. It probably wouldn't have done me any good, since Dobermon wasn't my partner Digimon. In fact, I don't think I had any Digimon. Though, perhaps it was stored in my digivice like in Savers. Also, I had woken up before we had actually gone anywhere.
As we were pulling out of the driveway, there were a couple of kids trying to pull a prank involving measuring tape. They accidentally poked me in the eye with it, and tried to get me to help with whatever they were doing. I told them I had to run, and wished them luck. Towards the end of the dream, I was reading a LiveJournal, presumably owned by Dobermon. He apparently was "learning how to swear". I saw this earlier in the dream, as well - between being at the store and my house. There were two new entries at this point that had Twitter posts on it. I don't recall the content of any of the entries.
That's pretty much all I remember from the dream. I think it would make for nice story content, perhaps at some point in my main fanfic, or a new one. I'm glad I remembered this one.

Posted 14 years agoI'm finally getting around to setting up my new blog. It will be the same concept as my current (http://samui.kitsuneparadise.com), just hosted on my new domain. I would like to have a not-so-plain look to it as well, possibly featuring one or both my fursonas, but that might have to wait until I can afford to commission artwork. I also want to have a name that isn't so generic, but I am having a hard time coming up with that, too. "Samui's Blog" just sounds too boring.

Posted 15 years agoas you can see, i am starting to post things on here again. mostly, they're just pictures i've commissioned of my characters. credit is given where due, i remember most of the artists. though, i am going to start posting my own stuff soon. that stuff being writings. hoping to get some artwork made (either by request or commission) to replace the boring "story" icon for my stories, but that won't hinder me from working on anything.
i think my next post as far as writings go, will be "digital dimension". i've already got it written, in a way. just need to make it better. the same goes for "kitsurian chronicles", in a way - though i've only got glitchy IRC logs and behind the scenes things to work with. i'm not going to give any date since i suck at meeting deadlines. though, i don't plan on posting anything until i get a good flow going.

Kitsuria Network Open!
Posted 15 years agoWell, it only took a couple months, but I finally got Kitsuria Network (http://www.kitsuria.net) up and running. It's an evolution from Kitsune Paradise. It is still a RP and gaming community, but instead of appearing to be focused on Kitsune, it focuses more on my story and the universe in which it takes place. Though, it remains open to everyone - so it's not restricted to Kitsuria.
One of the reasons it's been taking me so long is the constant electrical problem in my apartment. This has started in August. At random times, the power would just flicker in half of the apartment - or just completely turn off for hours. This has prevented me from doing any work on the site - or anything for that matter - since most of the things I use to do so are on my main computer. While I could use my netbook, it only has so much battery life. If anyone has ideas on how to deal with this persistent electrical problem, let me know. We've talked to management many times with no result, so apparently that's out of the question. Though, maybe an incident that happened tonight might prompt them to do something quicker, I dunno.
On another note, now that I am done putting Kitsuria Network online, I can now focus on writing the story and working on KitsuMUCK. There are a few minor things I need to finish on the site, but those won't take very long.
Oh, and I'm going to MFF. Anyone else? :3

Posted 15 years agook. so last month, i got hired by walmart. it's nice to have work and some income again.
as for my writings, i'm trying to get motivated. it will take a while to get the juices flowing...more of a matter of getting used to the new sleep schedule and stuff. in the meantime, i'm also going to be updating kitsune paradise a bit, giving it a new look. it's long overdue for a makeover.
maybe in the next couple of weeks, i'll have chapter 3 of "kitsurian chronicles" or episode 2 of "digital dimension" posted.

A lot has gone on in the seven months since I last posted here. I lost my job in August, moved in November. Got kicked out because of my (lack of) religion in January, and now am living near Chicago. That's a good summary, don't you think?
I still have yet to get hired. I need to call a couple places to check on the status of my application. But, a new problem came up that I cannot ignore. I've started feeling pains in my chest on Tuesday night, and they have not gone away. I plan on seeing a doctor about this either tonight or tomorrow.
In the meantime, I plan to get started on my writings once again. As you can see, I've posted the first chapter of my Digimon fanfic last week. I'm going to start working on "Kitsurian Chronicles" again this week.
Hopefully my situation here improves. It gets boring sitting at home all day.
