Posted 3 years agoI decided to make a new FA account for anything new that I get moving forward. I may also try to write some stories just for myself. Maybe if I ever feel up to it, I'll do commissions. I wouldn't hold my breath on it though. I don't think I'm a particularly good writer.

Posted 3 years agoMan, 8 years since the last one of these. Couldn't even find the journal under all that dust.
A lot happens in 8 years. Had two major moves since then. Four major jobs, been unemployed twice, met a lot of people both long term friends and short term acquaintances, tried to start my own business, and now I'm in the process of starting youtube and streaming on twitch. Its not something I decided to do for financial reasons but more as a way to fill some time with new skills and try to connect more with people. Mind of my way of trying to be more sociable. At the very least, I'm learning a lot about the process of setting up for streaming and recording. Its very interesting process and shows just how big a difference subtle changes make. I'm by no means an expert in it. I'm still learning and I hope I can keep learning and develop the skill further. Maybe it'll be useful beyond just a hobby for me in the future.
To that last point, I'll officially be retiring Troika as my fursona. They will still remain as my public facing image at events and while streaming, I just won't be getting any further art of them. I will eventually have a new fursuit made of them, it'll just be the final suit. Next March, my current 3/4th suit will be 9 years old. Originally brought into the real world by
lunoandsol (formerly 
LunoVulpes ). I'm genuinely surprised how well its held up since then. I wore the suit multiple times a year since 2016 with the only years I didn't suit being 2021 and 2022. Spent a lot of time outdoors and inside as well as one occasion in the snow. There's places where the suit shows its age. Along seams, the white fur isn't as white, the feet are in pretty rough shape, areas around the hand paws are worn down, the head feels a tad snug, and the eyes are fairly cloudy. I'm hoping to attend TFF2023 but I don't know if I'll financially be able to do so. I'll definitely visit for a day, maybe spend the night with a friend before making the 3 and a half hour trip home.
While I will be retiring Troika, I decided not to try and remove all of the art I've gotten of him and deleting my FA. What's that one old saying about stuff on the internet? Oh yeah, if it goes on the internet, it lives there forever. I've seen some of my art on e621, I'm sure its spread to other places too. Even if you couldn't download pictures or stories to save them, copy-paste and snipping tool exist. I will also likely continue to visit FA to enjoy some art. Lots of the artists I enjoy post here and you kinda need an account if you want to enjoy adult art. So instead of trying to make the futile attempt to sterlize my presence on the internet, I'll just archive it. Its very much a part of my life, a rather big one at that. I'll always be a furry so why try and hide any part of it? Its kinda pointless anyways.
That's kinda it. I've never been super active around here anyways. My only real contribution to FA are the commissions I've gotten of my various characters. I'm definitely no artist as my early college attempts at learning how to draw show that fact. I'll just continue to enjoy what I enjoy. In the event that anyone is interested in watching me stream, I'll post a link below. I don't have a schedule and I tend to stream at odd hours but I save my VODs to watch later to see any mistakes I make, record ideas or musings, and improve my future streams. I'll likely announce my first youtube video there too whenever I am ready to post that. It'll definitely be by January 2023. I have a pretty solid idea of what I want to post, I just need to gather my thoughts, do some minor research, test and verify my ideas, and record and edit the footage. The editing will probably be the hardest part for me since I've never done it but hey, you can't learn without trying.
If you decide to come watch, I hope you enjoy and maybe even learn something. If you decide to stay and join me on my journey, I sincerely appreciate it.

Posted 10 years agoI'd love to play with other people! > w< Though its not vanilla minecraft. Its a hardcore survival mod called Terrafirmacraft. I thinks its real fun once you learn how to play it. If anyone's interested, send me a note and I'll send the server ip to ya ^ w^
