I'm not sure what's going on, maybe a lack of motivation or something, but I've definitely noticed that the speed in which I get things done has taken a nose dive. I don't know how people do it, banging out pieces in a couple days. At this rate, it's taking me a week or two just to get linework done!

Maybe I need to do something different. I'm not really sure what though, I've kind of been grasping at ideas for a while now. I have a couple pictures I want to do, but I know it's going to take a while. I've toyed around with the idea of doing a collab, or trade, or possibly even commissions (though, that last one gives me a nervous sweat, I don't think I'm good enough lmao).

For now, I'll keep on trucking! I'm still around, just moving at a snails pace ;)

I was taking a bit of a break from drawing. Had a great idea for a piece I wanted to do while I was at work today! Get home, settle in to doodle around with my tablet. Open ClipStudio.

None of my settings had been saved for whatever reason. All the brush and pen settings, and all my customs just are not there. Which is super frustrating because I finally found a bunch of settings I was comfy with.

BF and I started playing WoW again for the first time in ages.

I'm still mildly surprised its been that long since my last journal. It took me a long time to remember that my last one was about my part for a anthology book.

Having said that, I do actually still exist, though admittedly I've been quite the fence sitter for a number of years. I'm looking back at things now, almost a decade later and really thinking that, 'wow, I was a pretty stupid and naive kid', aha. Oh well, life goes on I suppose!

A couple people have asked me over that period if I was ever going to write again, maybe pick up 'Heist' or even short stories. I'm pretty sure all of those projects are dead (pretty sure, not 100%, but it's extremely unlikely). I just lost interest in writing; burn out was real, I remember reading through and editing 4 or 5 times before even thinking about posting things.

Nowadays, aside from work, I spend a lot of time doodling or playing with my tablet. Drawing has become my new hobby, and while I still have a long, long, looooong way to go, I can already see improvements from when I started doodling about 2 years ago now. I love experimenting with different brushes and blending techniques, seeing how colours work and mashing it all together. It is definitely a process, but one I've been enjoying for a while now.

Life-wise, things are decent enough. I have a job I enjoy, I have time to work on personal projects and I've got a wonderful guy in my life with a decent place to call home. All that stuff is a thing for another time though I think :)

Almost at 10k words and then I can sleep! Gogogogogogo!

I've written more this week than I have in half a year. Oh God, I hope it's okay!

I am a slacker. Yup.

16 days to get this story done and I've only got a 1,000 words.

At least I've got 90s in most of my classes.

Been at Humber for about a week and a half now. Things are good. Still adjusting to living in residence, lol. I'm stuck on the first floor, which is a pain in the ass, because all the drunk partiers walk by my dorm constantly, so sleeping can be a minor issue sometimes. I'm up to 2am reguarly, so it isn't a huge deal.

My classes on the other hand, are very interesting. I'm very happy with my Travel/Tourism program, and I'm hoping to be able to find the money so I can do a study abroad program in May on a cruise ship. :)

Haven't written much at all lately. Between school work and my horrible addiction to World of Warcrack, I haven't gotten much done. Hopefully when I'm a little more settled in, it'll be better in that regard.

My only issue with school is that I don't really know anyone. So spending most of my nights on the computer isn't the most exciting way to spend my evenings. Need to find people I can actually relate too (I don't party 24/7 so that rules out 90% of the dorms, lol).

Real life, of course!

So, I've started planning this story. So far, it's coming out incredibly boring and dull. I'm not happy with it. So, after scrapping the few pages I've written, I start brainstorming while out having a smoke. I've never written a holiday-themed story before, and so I'm really struggling on how to do it.

Then it came to me.

Thanksgiving at my house is full of...ridiculousness for lack of a better term. What better way to break someone in than to have someone coming over for dinner for the first time.

Now the possibilities are deviously endless!

Small update.

Started working on Chapter 1 of Alabaster's story. it's going decently well. I have it plotted out on how I want things to go, which leaves me just having to really flesh things out with descriptions and the like. Unless I get really lazy and distracted (likely), I might actually have it done in a few days.

Being the D&D nerd that I am, I decided to map out some of the locals of Aurilous. If you ever pick up a Forgotten Realms novel, you'll know that at the front of every book is usually a map of the area of the world the story takes place in or of whatever town is mostly prominent in the story. I've done the same. 'Cause I'm cool like that. Too bad I suck at drawing, but at least it's not like a full on character picture. :) otherwise I'd just do stick-figures with tails.

On a side, I might actually be writing some more soon! I only have 3 shifts left at work before I have my month off before I leave for school. :3 yay!

I am now 23. My grey hair looks slightly more age appropriate. :3

Haven't posted anything in quite sometime, so let's see what I've been up to.

I've recently applied for school. As it turns out, I didn't decide to go with carpentry after all and am going to pursue something in the travel/tourism field. I've already been accepted to Humber, so I'll be shipping off to Etobicoke in September for class. I'll be staying in the residence down there and will be popping back up to Oshawa on the weekends. Going to need to find a new job while I'm down there, as I simply cannot stand to work at Timmies no more. I've applied for OSAP and I seem to be n the green for that too. I just need to fill out my declaration papers and go down to the school to turn them in (and my residence form at the same time).

I'm really excited about school. I'm going to bust my ass off and work really hard while I'm there. Mostly because they offer intern programs during the 2nd year and I could potentially go to France to do that. Definitely something I want to work towards.

Had the BF come up for the weekend and we had a gay old time. It was really nice to be able to see him again, and hopefully I will again in June when my parents take off for a week and I've got the entire place to myself.

Did the hang-out at the firepit thing at my place on Saturday after going to the zoo with Feldon. Had pretty much the whole crew (minus a squirrel) over and we ended up staying outside around the flame until about 2 in the morning. I was mostly in the bag from my vino by that point, and it was a fantastic night. Will be doing that again around my birthday next month. :3

As far as writing goes, I'm still in a slump. I finished off a story for a friend of mine a few weeks ago, and it was a struggle to finish. I don't seem to have the same ability to write smut as I used to. It's just so damn boring to write the same thing over and over again. I'm beginning to wonder how everyone else does it, or how I did it for so long. It just seems to samey; like actual porn. Same crap, different people.

Still have ideas kicking around for 'Alabaster and the Ring of Winter'. Lots of ideas. I'm actually debating writing several short stories set in that world, just to give people a feel of this fantasy land of crap, wizards and chimeric animal people. I've always been a huge fantasy nerd, and have spent the last several months burying my nose in 'Forgotten Realms' books again. I was even thinking of writing several journal-like stories to create back story for the world and its' peoples and places. Who knows.

I've also become addicted to Pokemon again. 'Cause I'm a nerd. :3
