Well, I have been officially locked up for the United States Army. I have to go back one more time for a physical and a final swearing ceremony. I have signed my 4 year contract as a Combat Medic at tge advanced rank of E-3, Private First Class.^^ I will be leaving to be shuttled from my hometown, Fort Benning/Columbus, Georgia to Montgomery, Alabama for the final ceremnonies and physical on January 8, 2013. Thereafter, I will be taken back onto a bus to my basic training site. The Army station that I will be mercilessly tormented for 9 1/2 weeks is non other than my beloved home of Fort Benning, Georgia!!!! I am not bullshittin' anyone. I am going to basic training at home!!! *squee* Pardon my excitement and gayness. :P I will also be requesting to go to Airborne School after I graduate AIT. But, I have plenty of time to get ready and be in the beat shape of my life. ^^ Upon leaving Fort Benning, I will be assigned for my AIT (Advanced Individual Training) in Fort Sam Houston, Texas next to San Antonio, Texas. Oddly enough the birthplace of my mate. ^^ After AIT, if everything goes accordin to plan I will be sent to Airborne School, which is located in the GREATEST BASE ON EARTH: (da duh duh daaaaaaaa) FORT BENNING for three weeks. So I will be jumping outta planes. Yay!!! ^^

So that in a nutshell is what I've been up to for the last couple of months and why I have been unavailable for four days outta the last fourteen.

Going to Montgomery, Alabama for another night at this posh hotel. Well I say posh because I'm not paying for it and I am getting two meals. It's difficult to argue with that isn't it? I'll be back on Thursday with my situation in regards to my future.

The last couple of months have had struggles. A lot of them. I won't go into it. I've head my mate by my side the entire time. :) I love him so much. But I've been waiting quite a while for the Army to call so I can finally take my physical and sign my paper work. My MOS that I have narrowed it down to Helicopter Repairer or Medic. If Helicopter Repair is available along with Medic I will choose the former. But as I have waited for the call, I have found a job at a restaraunt where I began as a host and am now also bussing. So now two jobs. But wait there is more!!! As my mate, friends, and I were gettin new tattoos on Friday, I had decided to bring my art bag to pass the time because it was a long wait. Anyways one of the artists or owner ha seen my work and had told me that he would like to buy pages of my art. I had given the business my phone number, and am working on tattoo designs. Mind you this will not really interfere with art much. So that is another thing that I have accomplished goal in my life. However upon telling the news to my mother, I was greeted with the response, "I wish you'd get your life together". I was teally hoping for some kind of encouragement from her for accomplishing a goal. I suppose the response was for the doctor's that are looking at my records for the Army is taking their precious time. However still a dissapointing response. I guess it is really hard to look past all that has happened.

But yay! Accomplishment!!

So the last three weeks have been anything but boring. Three weeks ago my brother went on an impromptu trip to Panama City Beach, Florida for a bender with some of his buddies. The next morning I receive a phome call while lying in bed from him telling me of his escapade and promptly asking me to take his truck for the 3 hour ride to pick him up and bring him back for our mother's birthday.

Last week, some dear friends had come back to town from Chicago. Last Saturday my mate was working at the restaurant late. My friend who is pregnant had not been feeling well and had asked me to babysit her son. I now have that child hooked on Sgt. Frog. Needless to say, still not good with kids........

Fast forward to today. I was helping my mate get his brother broken ass scooter to his house. Unfortunatley there was no one with a truck available. So we both had to grab a window of my car and the other drive to pull the one on the scooter. My mate had it handled for the most of the drive back. I had gotten anxious and wanted a go. My mate had warned me several times that I'd likely get hurt being on the scooter and trying to grab hold o the window, but to my dismay I am very hard-headed. Shortly after getting on the scooter I had tried to maneuver the scooter away from the car and maintain control. Unfortunately, my OWN CAR's right rear tire had caught my ankle and caused my leg to be pulled out from underneath me. My mate was right. But I am fortunate enough to only come away with a scratch on my ankle and a pulled muscle along my hip. My mate and I had a good laugh about this shortly after.

So my weekends are never dull. Hope everyone has a great day. :)

I've been pretty busy lately but not busy enough to not be able to work on art. ^^ I haven't accomplished a lot but I'm doing more. The more I do the closer I can open up requests again. ^^ I recently went and took the ASVAB test, because for about a year I've been strongly contemplating joining the military. I know am waiting on my test results that I will be seeing on Thursday. :) I have narrowed my choices down to the Army or Coast Guard. The Army has always felt like home to me because I live a few miles from a large Army installation that I had called my second home for the 23 years of my life. I had also had the great thrill of working on this base for four years where i had met some interesting people, including my big bruh who helped me realize who I am and re-recognize my love for art after many years of being dormant, hence my work not being very good. :/ I just thought I'd let some of you know, if anyone cares to read.

I'm about 99.999999% sure that no one cares or reads these that I post but I've had Sundays off work for the last few weeks instead of working everyday for two weeks non-stop. I'm going to take advantage since it is baseball season (favorite sport) and my mate is trying to get into sports other than football/soccer for my sake. What a sweetheart! Anyways, this Sunday I will be driving my mate and myself to my favorite city and place in all the world to go watch my most beloved baseball team play at Turner Field in Atlanta for the Atlanta Braves game!!! I usually go on Opening Day every year with my father but due to my work schedule and being on work probation I am forbidden to have any requested days off or vacation time until May 5. :( But I will be taking my mate to Atlanta to watch the Braves! I'm soooooo excited!!! It also gave me an idea for a raffle I could do fairly soon for my watchers because I greatly appreciate you all. (if anyone at all reads these) Now I must decide on which Braves jersey to wear Chipper Jones (childhood hero), Hank Aaron (Real Home Run King), or Martin Prado (helluva player with a great ass) :P

I'm actually excited about a Sunday. My least favorite day of the week. Why? Because some of the players from the ATLANTA BRAVES are stopping by post for the troops. My friend and I will be going to meet Tim Hudson, David Ross, Tyler Pastornicky, Eric Hinske, and Scott Fletcher. Maybe I can get a pic of me with the Braves mascot. That would be super!!!!! *puts on Lil' Jon outfit* YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been lucky enough to find a mate!!! ^^ I've been dating around a bit for the last 2 months or so, and I now have a mate. He is wonderful!!! There is such flow to this relationship, I think this is the first time I am perpetually happy. We had been in dating mode for a little over a week and we basically made our status a couple official to each other. He has asked me to design him a character for him, so I'll get to that after I've finished all other projects.

Also, my New Years Resolution is to not have a New Years Resolution. Ah paradoxes, how I love thee.

Christmas Comic update: I will be posting the lineart version tomorrow. I feel really bad that I haven't been able to color all the pages. I guess this what I get for soing something on a whim. But rest assured the comic will be colored and shaded completly. I feel like I've failed those of you waiting. I will not make any excuses. I guess I'm not Santa, though. :P
