In a sideNote.. i've been playing the game "Pillars of Eternity".. I'm in love with the game (it feels like D&D so much), got the two expansions, and been playing a little of it in between commissions. Also, just discovered, you can create your own portrait for your characters IN-GAME... so I'll be probably opening commissions of fantasy portraits for Pillars of Eternity soon. If someone is playing and want a custom portrait, you know who can help you with that... your friendly artist sannamy. ^^

My birthday party was awesome, we had 3 computers (mortal kombat, tekken, 4 player arcade games...), board games (from chess to pictionary), and lots of food and drinks... most of the people I invited where there... and made a LemonPie and a DungeonMasterBook Cake for me... it was awesome. ^^

In other news...

I was offertoday to be ad-honorem sustitute teacher for a digital design class in the university... I'm not going to receive any monetay payment, but will help my CV to be more powerfull for the next time I apply... and since things are still a little not so good with my thrid degree I can't be full teacher right now anyway... so... I'm not sure what to do... I'll probably try... it could be a cool first run of my dream... i am not able to run the class as I would like, but at least I'm going to be teaching design software for some weeks. and will learn more about the system from the inside. If everything goes okey... then... "Sannamy goes to college!"... this time to teach. ^^

wish me luck. I'll need it. is a whole new wolrd, and I could even be not selected for this. so.. will need luck.

Maybe you don't know, but one of my various dreams (in process of becoming reality) is to be a Design Teacher... I'm that kind of guy that take the time to explain things calmly and teach oteher when they do have the desire to learn... I don't do it so ofter in tutorial form, but I have from time to time long conversations with people who want to learn things (specially in spanish, where I can talk more fluent than english, since is my native lenguaje), not so much in ilustration, but in design, RPG board games and mugen coding (those 3 things are the ones that people want to know more about when talking with me)... Anyway... I barelly have time for thosen things, but I love it, and even when it sometimes is a pain in the ass, because my time is not only mine (sometimes people want advice or help in moments when I'm not exactly free, but I answer regarless of the consecuences in my life.. I've to learn to control that,. XD.. anyway that's not the problem).

As you all know, I'm a licenced Graphic designer (I've 3 tittles right now: Marketing and Advertising Analyst, Graphic and Advertising Design Tech Degree, and a the integral Design National Level Degree), these 3 tittles were so dificult to obtain, years of hard work and study, 2 thesis (i put the best of me to finish these careers as fast and high gradded as posible. Anybody that have a college degree knows how hard is to finish a career). These 3 tittles allowed me not only to work and make a living of these professions, but also to teach them (or part of my professional and academic knowledge) in schools and universities, of those 3, the third is the most important one, and the one that allow me to be a teacher (witohut that tittle, I'll need to finish an extra "teaching carrer" (what means more years)). This special Third Degree was something new in my country, it was the result of years and years of students, teachers and design profesional fighting for that posibility. When it was finally posible to study that career extension and earn that extra degree I jumped on that, and me (as well as everyboy on the carrer) where ensured by the provincial government that everything was perfect and functional, and that we were going to be the very first Cordobeces in Argentina to have that degree in history, everything was awesome and hard, very hard but enjoyable... after those years i was able to finish my thesis (a thesis that let me go outside my province to capital city of Buenos Aires, and being invited to other countries to show my work), everythig was so perfect... was...

Some months ago, there where some iregularities... some things out of place, some carrers of the Provincial University where shaken by acusations... the tittles/degrees didn't have the national validation nor even the provincial validation, even when the president signed the document that alloed that to happen and even when the Education Ministery was with us making it posible (or maybe not... considering how things are looking), that cause a lot of caos, a whole university reputation is in danger and their students carreer as well. and university that's owned by the government... so at some pint the government was SACAMING the students and teachers... Even with that situation being a reality, we "the ones that already finished the carrer" where ensured that our degrees were diferent, that we were not in danger of that to happen to our degrees... mmhhh
well.. it was a LIE... yesterday night, i was informed by a group of ex students that me and others from the very first promotion of that carrer have our degrees in danger, or in better words, have non autorized by the education ministery degrees (even when we were ensured we were, there was documents signed by our president at that time, and others signed by the authorities of the university and ministery)... Anyway... Looks like till this got solved, I no longer have 3 degrees, but only 2, and those years are nothing in the academic system of my nation and province... I don't really need that 3rd degree to work as a profesional designer or illustrator, I have my own experience and my other 2 degrees for that... but without the 3rd one, I'm no longer able to teach at schools and universities (something i was trying since I graduated... something very hard, since is very hard to get in the system and start teaching in respectfull terms)... Anyway... I can't continue with that path of life till this got resolved... i'll stick to my job as freelancer designer and ilustrator, an dmy other projects. This will not turn off my light. I'm still young (25 years), and have lots of things to learn... maybe someday even start studying another carreer (and diferent professional and academic capacitations of similar and not so simlar areas).

I just wanna share this with you all guys.
I needed to let it out. Also I consider this as part of my professional transparency, I don't really know if some of my clients take in consideration my degrees and capacitations at the mnoment of choosing me for a job, so is better to not lie and comunicate the status of one of my degrees to them. You can be sure this changes nothing, I still have all the knowledge, skills and experience of the degree, just that the diploma that say I do may be just a piece of paper and nothing more. u.u

I want to talk about this, what makes your favorite game be "The favorite", that one that you will always remember, the one that made you play countles hours, maybe even replaying it lots of times discovering secrets and unlocking stuff, or playing online... do you have or had a videogame like that?

I've played lots of games, i was an old gamer ass (i've probally played all the non sports/racing sega genesis games, lots tons and tons of PC, PSX, Nes, SNES and GBA games... only some of PS2, and just a few of newer consoles)... but from all thar there is 1 favorite game franchise... The Valkyrie Profile Saga (VP 1 from PSX, and VP Silmeria from PS2... the DS game just didn't get me, and the new movile japanese game is like the MG3 Snake eather Pachinko SLot... a Stab in the Heart. u.u)

What I love about these 2 games is almost eveyrhing:
-RPG battles with custom combo system + Sidescrolling plataforming
-Norse Mythology, gods, Einherias, Souls, Demons, VALKYRIES!!!
-Medieval Fantasy setting, with an awesome lore and storylines.
-Likeale characters that grow with the story (inboth games)
-The whole Einheriar sistem, where you can recruit souls of the dead heroes as your party characters, knowing aout their lives (or watching entire cutscenes about their heroic lives or deaths).
-The awesome villains,
-The battle system was awesome, the skill learning methods very original.
-The Art (not only illustration and Design, but the music, the HUD, the backgrounds... everything in these games is art.. maybe the english voice actors of VP1 are a little.. odd sometimes... but characters like Lenneth Valkyrie and Lezard Valeth are just legends in my book, their voice actors made me feel them alive lots of times).
-Tons of secret things to unlock or discover, lots of mysteries... is one of those games that you choose how to play, you don't have to play with the main characters if you don't want to... is awesome. The first one had 3 diferent endings (really diferent endings) and the second have an alternative scene in the ending depending on how you played it.

Just love the game...

What are your toughts about my latest YCH Project? DO you like it? DO you hate it?
A lot of people have been bidding, faving and comenting and some had even throw notes about it, asking for specific character archetypes... the thing is... I can't cover all the archetypes... I try to offer those That I believe will sold, the most wanted... but maybe the most wanted are not the ones you're looking for... so here is the deal. There will be some time before the next YCH of this project appear (actually, JennaDragon will be helping with half of the roster, the idea was to make a colaborative project... like "capcom vs snk" where bot sides of the battle have diferent artists for the characters, but even that way they merge awesomelly.. we aimed for that in papper)... anyway... I'm saying too much too early. XD...

... what I'm propossing now... is for those who want a super specific pose, costume or character style and don't want to wait for that YCH to appear (or believe that it won't appear, or that they will not win the Auction)... well.. for those... you can just commission a slot in the select screen. this have his adventajes and its disadventajes... for example: The price won't be affected by auction, but will start in the 90$ price for a simple character (complex character and costumes may raise the price), and willinclude all the extras before the "wings milestone" (wings and complex things may raise the price). But this way you can tell me exactly what pose, character type and costume you want for your character (instead of using the one that's eing auctioned).
...This also apply for alternative costumes. The alternative costume milestone is 140$ in auction (and it comes in 2 colors as well), well, for the ones that Commission a character slot with alt costume, the price will be 170$ (again, is higher, but doesn't requiere bidding and it will be int he pose you choosed for the regular costume, instead of the one offered in Auction).
-This way You can participate in a less competitive way and have exactly what you want... Also these slots doesn't affect the amount of YCH's that where planed to be made. there are some of them for the future (probably made by Jenna, doesn't know if there are more slots by me, I have to check that later.)

What do you think of this? Do you like the idea? or prefeer a carnage of biddings in "Only YCH" pieces for this project? I'll like to know what do you guys think.

Buenas Tarder furritos!... sannamy here asking for help from my beloved watchers, clients and friends.
As you all know (because I'm a dirty spammer in what reffer to my YCH's (XD)) I'm working on a project involving a fighting game style YCH, but I wanted it to be diferent and professional, so I'm making it slightly animated and interactive. Since it will going to be boring to do it will only my characters, I started selling YCH's for the slots on the screen, while preparing the big thing.

What I'll like to know are... do you have any favorite kind of character you want for future YCH's arquetypes? like "RyuLike", karate guy, thombrider, Biker, Wrestler, Monk, Cybernetic man, Police oficer, religious guy, psichic girl, lolita, gothic style... things like those. And wich bodytypes do you preffer... I already have choosen what arquetypes are going to be there, but I'm allways open for ideas, if a lot of people ask for the same, Ill tottally add it to the roster.

Also.. will like to hear advices for music. As you know this thing is being made in flash (or multimedia fussion/Mugen if flash doesn't cooperate enought). So I'll like to hear suggestions for the game Music theme and the select screen music. You already had a little sneak peak of the design it will have in my lastest YCH reminders, so the ideas is to work with that. ^^

Don't know when or if I'm going to release the next YCH for it... Some people preffer that I sell them al at the same time when they all got ready (My original idea, indeed)... but money and time was in the middle, this is a project that needs a lot of time, and that's time I'm not using for commisions work (searhing for new clients for example)... and that mean I can eat (damn human being needs)... So yeah... life.

While I'm running this YCH, I'm painting the last YCH winner. Those two will be feature in an interactive character select screen I'm working on... The idea is to code it on flash (if the file get too large, I will probably end making 2 versions, one for FA and another for download).. also, if flash doesn't cooperate with me on this, I'll just move to Multimedia Fusion or Mugen and make an Exeutable (actually It willbe easier and faster for me to make this on those programs, but i want it to work on the FA page... so i'm fighting with the flash, re-learning some things and testing viabilitiy due to file size... anyway... yeah.. super excited with this).

If you know of any cool fighting game or videogame style music I could use for this, I'm all ears... feel free to share it here. it doesn't need to be a snowma...fighting game music.. just be cool or epic for a character selection screen.

As the tittle said... I'm opening slots for commissions. But also will tlak about a little something that nobody as asked about, but I feel like I've to say... it has been taking more time for me to finish some pieces... still not a months thing, but was able to fnish things in a matter of just 1-2 days in the past and with the pass of time this working period as becoming longer and longer... but my style and amount of details have been improved at the same rate, nor have been my prices (they have just raised a tiny bit compared with my very first commission prices, when i was opening... it was hiper low then, and it still is). This all is due to the fact I'm working more on my pieces... there are things I can see and do now that i wasn't able in the past, and that I try to enjoy everypieces at its fullest and to not only deliver a cool piece for the client (who trusted on my skill for his piece, a thing I never sease to thank) but to make a cool piece for my portfolio. So I'm not interested in working fast and easy on things. I want to deliver/create the very best piece I can, and sometimes that implies extra work.. I even find myself working extra por commission themes or character i really like, or just adding extra details because of the sake of seing a more complete or apealing piece (the ones that worked with me in the past know about this).

So... i just want everybody to know that If a piece is taking so much time for me (compared to the average 1-7 days) to finish, is because it's being dificult to me to deliver a piece that I consider finished or up to my standards and the pyament. sometimes there are lots and lots of research, sketching and color testing... sometimes i work hours or even days in just one detail i consider important... just to make a cool final piece, and while time pass, my quality standards raise, so I have to work harder for you and me. That's all I want to say. Thanks again for trusting in my services, as always. I hope to hear more of your cool ideas and characters to draw... and get stuned for the next submissions, they are something old but new at the same time, in what refeers to theme.

Aye Aye Everybody.. as you all know... I'm a Fantasy Nerd... and I've made strange trades in the past. Like that time I traded a bunch of old pokemon card for a HQ painting, or the time I trade a Digital FullComposition with a friend for some computer parts... Yep... Money is not the only way of payment I acept, you can allways come with something i may be interested.

FOR EXAMPLE!!!!
Right now.. I'm in Full D&D Mode (okey.. I'm since a time.. a lot of time).. here in my country it's been a little dificult to get the D&D board games like "Wrath of Ashardalon", "Castle Ravenloft", "The Legend of Drizzt", etc (you know.. those where you play with miniatures, a 20faced dice and cards... love those games)... and it's been a pain in the ass to get them by buying them online. Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

If any of you have one of those games and want to get rid of them, I could trade them for an Hiper mega commission (or maybe 2 or 3 little commissions.. depending on the game and the status of said game... I'm moslty interested in the miniatures, but the whole game will be perfect). You must be able to send it to my place (in Argentina). We can discuss the details if you're interested.

ALSO.. that's not the only item I could be interested... I'm also seeking for bunch of D&D, warhammer, lord of the Rings or similar minis of all sizes and types (specially those who fits in a D&D grid of 2,5mm). you must be able to send them to Argentina. It doesn't atter if they're used or old, as far as they are not brokken, and if they're broken, I'll ike to see how broken, maybe they are still usable (i'm asking for a bunch of minis to add to my colection)... we can surelly get to an agreement.

I do this because there are people here who want a commission, but don't have money, or can't pay via paypal, or can't pay for a comission right now, but will be able to send something (like these things) as a way of payment. I hope it helps.

Sometimes i receibe private coments (allways in person, i haven't face almost any of these things in the internet) like "why did you do this?", "I don't like that", "You should stop that"... that I don't understand. There are some examples that where the most common ones:

1-
Person: "do you draw porn too??? TO BAD! You lost me!... I believe you was a clean artist only... disrespect for you"
Me: "Well.. I can draw lots of things, and porn is one of those"
Person: "But that's the easy way... you're being lazy and a sold out artist, you should draw what you want to draw"
Me: "Have you considered I take commissions because I LIKE drawing what other peoples want? have you considered this is my job, and part important of it is drawing what other people need me to draw? have you considered I that maybe I don't have any problem iwth drawing porn?

-People, if you don't have any problem drawing porn or just want to draw porn... well.. Draw porn! there is nothing wrong on that as long as you don't hurt other people, or use the identity of real people or other fursonas without permission of their authors. There is nothing wrong with porn, I know lots of people don't like porn on furry things cause it may affect the iamge of the fandom, but sadly it's not about the porn, but about the people who think porn is bad... I didn't even liked to watch porn till i realised the artistic part of it (age 22), nowdays if i see porn I do it more searching for references than any other thing (as lots of artist do), and there is nothing wrong with that nor with seing porn to relief oneself... SO i don't tottally understand the whole "I don't like you, because you draw porn" (even if i likes your style, and all your other pieces, even if you drew them because someone else asked for it, even if you don't get turned on by that, even if it was just 1 porn piece for every 40 non porn pieces in your gallery), common! whats wrong with these people? I know they don't wanna hurt nobody, but it's like theydon't realise they're pushing what they like (or don't like) into everyone else.. and that's not okey.

2-
Person: "Almost everything you draw is furry things, why don't you draw other things?"
Me: "most of my clients ask for furry art... I like drawing furry art... most of my drawings are commissions for furry people... it have sence doesn't it? if most of my clients where fans of medieval fantasy and liked more human art than furry art, I would have my gallery full with that.. since I love medieval fantasy art too."
Person:: mmhhh... it has sence.

Somepeople just can't solve a "2+2" problem without help. Or at least that's how it looks at first sight. But is not that they're stupid or something, they just don't see the whole picture... Ilustration is my job, not just a hobbie... I draw what my clients ask me to draw... is not that dificult. That doens't means even that I'll draw everything other people ask for (I have a list of things I won't draw, cause I don't like those things myself, like "rape art", where a victim who doesn't asked for it (non consenting at all) got violented and/or assaulted in a sexual way)... I don't like rape art, I like consensual things (I'm okey with bdsm, spanks and even gore in sex, as long as everything is consensual), I know it's a little weird I don't like draw those things but I could easily draw a guy stabing another with a sword in a non consesual way ()

3-(this one was strange)
Person:"I don't like diapers nor babies, man... I'm not into that"
Me: "It's okey"
Person: "it is? you have drawn a lot of those things"
Me: "yes"
Person: "I don't like it... I'm not into that"
Me: "It's okey man... everyone have their tastes. I draw a lot f things. some of those pieces were made because a client asked for it and payed me for drawing it (yes, I had to clarify sometimes what mean "drawing for clients") and other ones were made because I wanted, I like those things, it's a cute topic to draw"
Person (confused): "sooo... are we cool?"
Me: "Shouldn't we?"
Person: "You're cool, man"

This friend of mine was confused for some reason, he was thinking i was going to infriend him or start an argument about why his dislikes are not okey or something like that... People can like or don't like whatever they want as long as don't harm other people with their actions. My friends, my watchers, my clients, even myself are not obligated to love every single theme or piece I (or any other artist/designer/illustrator) draw. that's insane. if you don't like X type of art but that type of art is not harming people, just ignore it, This friend of mine acted like if i where going to be mad at him for that... maybe I would be mad at me if he was in my place, or maybe he had knew other artists or people who get mad for that kind of comments. Likes and Dislikes are just that, a matter of subjetive (personal) tastes.

What do you guys/gals/gels/spagettiMonsters thinks of thiese kind of comments about my or your drawings or likes... have you experienced this? what do you think of these people? how have you handle these kind of situations? have you been in the other side? (the side of the one telling the other about not liking something?)

ALSO... I'll like to ask you is there any things you like most and least about my drawing themes? any favorite or less favorite?

Do you consider it a good reason to unfriend someone or unwatch an artist just because he/she/they/it/Spagetti drawn something diferent to his tastes?

My style is semirealistic, everypiece I make is fullshadded and colored
