How am I alive?

Honestly had the scariets fucking moment of my life today. Driving home on the highway the car in front of me put on their breaks, due to the wonderful ice storm we are having the road was really slushy. My car started sliding as I was trying to break so I was able to swerve into the other lane, but my car started swerving towards the car that had been breaking in front of me. So in an effort to avoid hitting them my reflexes kicked in. I did end up hitting the metal barrier that was on the right side of the road twice; which caused a spin to end with me facing the opposite way of traffic.
Somehow my car is in one piece, and I am as well, minus the soda that got spilled all over the passenger seat, and the little Saturn emblem that was on the front is gone and a small scratch on the side.
I am horribly shaken up and might have a small concussion, but everything seems to be okay.
I don't know who or what is watching over me but I am very thankful at the moment.

Posted 14 years agoI think I'm finally over everything and able to get back to a normal schedule.
This week is going to be pretty tough with all the assignments I have from classes, especially since I want to be done by Friday so I can have an enjoyable weekend.
It also doesn't help that I have the mood to draw, but really need to work. >.<

Posted 14 years agoThe kidney stone is finally out of my system....the little shit heads name is Lucifer...
Still not 100% because I did not know that one was prone to mass bleeding after passing these things.
Lots of work to catch up on for classes

Second trip to the ER
Posted 14 years agoSo I wasn't able to get the work done I had hoped. After waking up in pain and having some serious problems I went back to the ER, hopefully I'll be fine by tomorrow...but right now I'm so stoned that I apologize for any misspellings and what have you....
The ER is a horrifying place

Yesterday I woke up with intense pain in my right side and ended up getting sick from it. Figuring that I just pulled a muscle or slept wrong I let it go.
At about three in the afternoon I finally broke down and cried like a cry-baby-sissy-pee-pants from the pain and my family decided I needed to go to the ER.
The waiting room is creepy...not in the horror and gore kind of way, more of the everyone-is-hacking-up-a-lung kind of creepy; not to mention it was super busy. I ended up there for five hours, endured 6 injections with my IV, had a CAT scan, and was made to drink some really nasty stuff for the CAT scan.
After getting some really nice pain medication that, for a lack of a better term, made me stoned, I found out I have a kidney stone. I was given four prescriptions and will be laid up for the next few days.
On a good note, that means I'll be able to sit down and work on a few of the projects that are at the top of my priority list at the moment.

Posted 14 years agoAs I got ready for bed I heard an owl hooting in the tree outside my window, which was later accompanied by a second owl responding. I know i have seen a snowy and a great-horned owl out here before.
I have also been graced with seeing a variety of other wildlife, which includes foxes, coyotes, bobcats, badgers, deer, hawks, kestrels, and on one occasion a bald eagle.
On a Spring evening I can listen to a vixen calling to her pups, or the going out and calling the coyotes and listening to them and their new pups answer back in their squeaks and yelps. And on a Cold and clear

This is why I love living in the country.

Posted 14 years agoI'm starting to clean and gut my room and life of all unnecessary things in preparation of hopefully moving into an apartment in the spring.
As a theater, sewing, arts, crafts, nerd, book reader, and any other type of hobbyist that requires a certain amount of collecting, I finally realize just how much crap I actually have.
This is going to require me to sit down and really start doing some sewing projects, scrap-booking, and other craft stuff in order for the pile to go down a bit before I can move out....this is going to be tedious and tiresome.
As a theater, sewing, arts, crafts, nerd, book reader, and any other type of hobbyist that requires a certain amount of collecting, I finally realize just how much crap I actually have.

Nothing like having an attitude while dancing.
Also anyone who is attending the Frankenmuth meet to see the ice sculptures please come say hello! I'll be carrying around my devil sticks and probably wearing my snow leopard tail, that is if Shadow doesn't make me suit with him instead.

Posted 14 years agoGoing to be doped up and sleeping all weekend...while I look forward to the break from everything I'm not looking forward to the sedation of the surgery.
Also this will probably curb into my ability to work on any of my projects.

Preparing for FCN
Posted 14 years agoWell as the snow swirls around outside, I'm nice and toasty inside...(though I wish I could say toasted inside. x3) anywho...
FCN is quite a ways off, but I'm pulled out my kimono from when I graduated highschool and have been making a few minor fixes to it, and sewing a proper under-robe for it to wear to FCN since the theme is Japan.
On top of that I'm working on learning a little bit of FAN DANCING!!! whoo so excited...perhaps because I'm obsessed with Geishas. x3
Yule has come and gone...i'm ready for the holidays to be over....

Posted 15 years agoHave you ever wanted a mini-top hat in the shape of an adorable little critter? Or perhaps even your own fursona?
These hats measure about 4 inches tall and are super comfortable to wear.
Each hat is handmade, and the outside is felted and crafted to look like the face of the animal of your choice.
They cost anywhere from $15-$25 depending on the amount of detail or coloring done on the character.
Here are some links to two of the hats that I have done in the past:
Yarn Tails and Knitted Cat ears:
The yarn tails can come in a color of your choice, and also can vary in length
Two Colors at 14" ~$20 (see example)
Knitted Cat ears
$8 for one or two colors
$10 for third color
The cat ears are knitted and attached to a head band.
I can do a combo deal on a pair of cat ears and a tail if one wishes. This will also depend on the details that one wishes to be incorporated into it.

Other than that I've been working on the partial for FCN, but after starting the furring process it was getting to bulky so I've mangled it and began trying to redo parts of it.
So yeah....just a small update.....

Accused of Tracing
Posted 15 years agoSo, what a great way to wake up this morning.....A notification from FA saying one of my pieces had been removed due to being "traced."
No warning, no notification, just a removal.
I'm somewhat..okay really pissed over this.
One: I abhor people that trace and post as their own art
Two: It was one of the rare fully digital pieces that I did at the time because I only had a mouse.
Three: This piece took me close to 30 hours to get right
Four: It was for a contest so of course I wanted to be damn sure I got it right.
I know..bitch, bitch, bitch, bitch, bitch, bitch, whine, complain, moan....but seriously?
I am rather upset with this turn of events, and am debating whether I want to fight to put it back up, since it's only going to be tarnished with being accused of tracing...

Might be doing nude photoshoot

My friend is taking an art class on the human figure and she would like to do a project featuring nude close ups...well she asked another friend and myself if we would like to do it..I'm still not fully sure but at the same time I supposed I'm flattered and kind of want to take the plunge and say "what the hell?"
