This is a personal account (where to find my fursuit work)
Posted 9 years agoFor those that follow me on here I am going to start posting mainly personal pieces now that I am getting back into drawing.
This will also be where I will occasionally post personal projects.
If you want to check out my fursuit work please look at
snowleopardcreations
or my twitter: Snepcreations
If you are really intrigued to see more behind the scene pieces check out my Patreon
https://www.patreon.com/snowleopardcreations
Every project I complete does get posted publically. Patreon is more for showing WIP photos that normally only get shown to the commissioner. It is also a chance to get commission slots, artwork, and other goodies and discounted rates and have first dibs on them.

I'm on Weasyl!
Posted 10 years agoAfter the current onslaught of adult ads I will be taking FA off my business cards. I cannot risk having a gallery for commissioners too look through and have adult ads playing.
This means most cards will not have my FA address anymore!
I will be moving my gallery for my business to Weasyl!
https://www.weasyl.com/submissions/sanuraleopard
Come check me out and feel free to add me on there!
I also have a facebook account that I upload to as well!

Price Increase-Future Commissioners
Posted 10 years agoI have been very busy lately. As I have had some time to reflect, I realize that my prices are not where they should be.
I put a lot of effort and time into each piece. Since I originally started I have increased in skill and in that I feel that it was time for my prices to reflect the skill level I have obtained. There is nothing more disheartening than hearing everyone say that my suits are "cheap" or that " wow that is very under priced"
So that is why I have increased my prices by about 25% across the board.
I also now have a pricing for fullsuits on my webpage, as well as two options for 3/4 suits. One that comes with Digi legs and one that does not. Hopefully that will make filling out the quote form a bit easier for everyone.
To current commissioners, this will not effect your commission in anyway. To anyone I may have quoted in the past month, that also has no effect on the quote I gave you.
However, anyone that applies for a quote starting today will have a quote with the updated prices.
I look forward to where the future takes me as I continue having the opportunity to make suits for everyone! :)

Goals for this weekend!
Posted 10 years agoSince I won't be going to see the boyfriend this weekend (conflicting schedules and cram time to get as much work done as possible before MCFC) I will be focusing my time on getting as far ahead as I possibly can.
This means that my laundry list includes:
Finishing ears on Anubsky
Furring Hyler's Feetpaws
Prepping both Karma and Raiden's heads for fur.
Sew up lanyards + bandanas
Possibly work on the Zinogre Hoodie to have for Shutocon?
Seems like a small list, until you see the stack of goodies that I have waiting.
But at least the two fullsuits I needed for MCFC will be done and out of the way a whole two weeks ahead of schedule! HUZZAH!

Monster Hunter Nerdgasm
Posted 10 years agoJust got my copy of MH 4U last night. I played it for about 6 hours so far and am in love all over again!
In my anticipation of waiting for its delivery I have made some decisions on items I will be making to sell at a few anime cons this year.
So far I have:
Felyne Lanyards (custom print fabric with felyne faces on them)
Monster decal ds pouches (custom print fabric with all the monsters hunting icons on them)
Roasted meat plush
Felyne hats
Potion vial pendants
Buttons with potions, monsters, or any other thing I find fun.
On display I plan on having an amazing Jinouga hoodie. I will be opening up for commissions for these but do note that they will be expensive. This Jinouga i'm already pricing at $400 due to the complexity that will be going into it.
I might offer "simplified" monster hoodies for $200 (idea pending on that)
Last but not least I am actually going to attempt to cosplay!
I have not done a character garment in a LONG time. But to go with the theme I REALLY want to try for the guildmarm costume. I think it would be fun and cute to have for the table. I might even design up some quests that I can hand out. If they people complete the quests they can have a 10% discount or something. x3
But that is a general idea for now. I am in love with this game and look forward to getting these projects going around my already full commission schedule!

CUSTOM BUTTONS OPEN!
Posted 11 years agoThat's right!
Snow Leopard Creations now offers custom buttons!
Recently I purchased a 1 ½ inch nice metal button presses. This thing is so lovely I could not bear the thought of having to tuck it away between every convention. I decided that I wanted to offer to make buttons for people.
Sure people can go to big companies online and order, but what better way to keep it in the community by offering button pressing at a rate that is comparable to what the other button making companies offer. The difference is, that since it is mainly myself and my boyfriend making these, you can be sure that each piece passes quality inspection, and will only be sent if it meets the high standard we set for a product.
Mordrude Monsters was gracious enough to be my guinea pig with the whole thing as my first customer! I had printed some test buttons with my logo, but I can say that her’s looked so nice that it cemented the idea in my brain that I needed to open up for some of these to the community.
So if you are an artist looking to sell some wearable pieces of art, or even a fursuiter that is looking for something small to hand out to people at conventions. I have you covered!
Check out my website that has a link to the order form if you are interested:

Rare opportunity! Discount bodysuit commission!
Posted 11 years agoHello all.
As some may know I have been making a bodysuit for my demon wolf to display my suit making skills and to build my portfolio work.
So you may be wondering why I am posting this journal. Well I would like to make a plantigrade suit, however there really is no need for me to have two suits of the same character!
Here is where things could get lucky for two lucky furries. I would like to take on TWO plantigrade suits for a discounted price. The body will run between $300-$600 USD depending on markings, colors, etc. If you wish to upgrade from just a body to a fullsuit we can discuss pricing.
Though I do not have a plantigrade suit in my portfolio yet, I do have a ton of experience sewing clothing, costumes, fursuit parts and my recently completed digitigrades suit.
The suit will be all hand stitched and I will be serging seams as well for extra strength.
THE RULES:
I look forward to seeing what kind of characters I am given the opportunity to make. :3

THE RULES:
- Post a reference of your character so I can give you a price quote. The ref must be accurate and have AT LEAST a front and back view.
- You MUST be 18 or over to commission me
- I will require a well made DTD (I will post links to good DTD tutorials) If you provide a poorly made DTD I will not be able to do your commission until I have a solid dummy to work off of.
- If you are only doing a bodysuit I will require a full payment up front. This is due to the fact that 90% of the cost is materials.
- I will not be doing any rush orders on the bodysuits. This is mainly because I want to be able to spend sufficient time to ensure quality and durability in these costumes. (I usually take about three months to make a full piece)
I look forward to seeing what kind of characters I am given the opportunity to make. :3
List for the rest of the weekend
Posted 11 years agoBeen a bit crazy already with celebrating both my grandfather's and my mother's birthday, and I think I may have got Hyler's cold.
But I am going to try and get as much done as I can the rest of the weekend!
Finish up sewing the pieces for Kero
Make and attach the ears
Start the neck
Sculpt claws for Barkley
Hopefully locate furs for my bodysuit!
I am having the hardest time trying to locate a yard of White Teddy fur! It is becoming as rare as gold I swear. If anyone might know someone who has a yard they would be willing to sell let me know please! D: I want to get this body suit made and tested so I might be able to open up for bodysuits in the next year.

To do list Monday
Posted 11 years agoSo as I have had a long weekend away from my home I now have a list of things to get done for today.
Wash Fenra after her weekend at the faire- Check
Quote hedgehog- Check
Work on Kero- Get eyes done, sculpt teeth, fleece nose
Cut out more foam for Chrono head
Whiskers for Barkley
Hopefully, I can get most of that done, in between getting normal house chores out of the way.
Now back to work I go!!!

Still alive
Posted 11 years agoSorry for not posting in awhile, been crazy busy around here.
I have gotten a small amount of work done, but things keep seeming to get derailed.
Case in point I was originally planning on going to renfest, plans got changed and figured I would be working all weekend instead. Well my parents are taking me to Columbus to visit my sister. I guess it's not horrible since it will be the first time I haven't been the one driving down, and our whole family will be down there together.
I am taking some handsewing I have to get done, and I will also be sitting down Monday and not moving from my work room until I have a beaver at least 99% done!
Been so frustrated with changing plans lately, I hope I can take a break from this crazy coaster called life soon!

Update from the last journal.
Posted 11 years agoAfter much heart ache today my dog Blu Max was put down today. He suffered five seizures and ended up having a stroke. We had taken him to a vet after his first two and ended up taking him to a hospital where the doctor said the best thing was to put him down.
He was 14 and was in pain. I know in my heart it was the most humane thing for him to pass rather than prolong it. But I still feel like my heart is breaking...
I will probably be silent for the next few days as I cope with his passing. I will try to pick up my work and might use it to get over his passing.
He was the dog that taught me not to be afraid of dogs. And we had some great adventures through the years. Looking back, I wish I could have done so much more with him.
Please excuse my absence if I am quiet and not responding for a few days.

For my commissioners (please read)
Posted 11 years agoEarly this morning my dog had a violent seizure. I am having to baby him and take care of him so work is going to be slow if not put on hold for a day or two. I hate to have to halt progress, but my dog comes first.
He has been my best friend for 14 years and emotionally it is really hard to think of the fact that he may not be around much longer.

Personal travel stuff of where I have been the past weekend
_VVVVFriday night at work I spilled water down my leg, and apparantly some of it seeped into my phone before I could fix the issue. Which resulted in my phone of 2 1/2 years dying on me.
That night after I got out of work (3am because I work as a closer) Hyler and I Packed up his truck and drove down to Ohio to visit my sister for the weekend. After almost 6 ish hours later we arrived exhausted and hungry. I got to eat at a waffle house for breakfast which is a guilty pleasure of mine that I don't get very often.
My sister took me to some really nice stores like an asian market where I got some delicious snacks, and a used book store (dangerous place for me!) and I got some old WOD werewolf RP books to add to my collection.
Sunday we went to the zoo and I tell you that place is amazing! If you ever have the chance to go, I strongly suggest doing so. It is so large that we spent 6 hours there and didn't get to see everything! They also have a new part of the zoo that features African animals. They do a demonstration that shows just how fast a cheetah really is! I wish I could have gone back another day and just taken a sketch book with me.
Monday we had a very long and wet drive home. It rained on and off all the way, and the GPS took us mostly back roads. Which wasn't terrible at all because I got to see lots of victorian houses, and what is more fun than having your BF and you point out houses that you would like to have. XD
We stopped in Plainwell late in the afternoon to get food and to get me a new phone. I dropped T-mobile and am now with Verizon. ( I still have the same phone number, so if I had your number, please text me so I can get my contacts back!) I have service at my house, and even have internet now on it for at least $20 less than what I was paying with Tmobile.

Crafting updates
I am almost done with the tweaking for lonewolf and hope to have him shipped out tomorrow
Barkley - Tail is done, slowly going to start working on handpaws this week. Still need to get pictures to Barkley as well.
Jafax - Still a TON of work to do for the con preparation and that is how I will be spending at least 2 of my days off this weekend. Since I was so late getting notified about getting into the con I have to really work on building up my stock to sell.
ALSO!!!! Over the next few weeks i will be moving my work space around. This may slow me down for awhile as I readjust things, but do know that I am trying my hardest to stay on top of things!

What's on my plate
Posted 11 years agoI have a busy busy month ahead of me. This is more for me, but if you are curious what all I have going on here is an idea of what I have on my plate before Jafax.
TO DO LIST:
10 tails (6/10 so far)
10 ear sets (0/10)
10+ Tophats (6/10)
20 collars (need to check what I still have)
10 squid pillows (8/10)
10 Steampunk Jewelry pins (3/10)
10 White totoros with soot sprites (6 started, none finished)
Barkley Partial- Tail finished still needs handpaws and head.
Chrono- redoing feetpaws (I have them “skinned” and the pattern drawn up, need to cut the foam and start furring)
I am also looking for ideas for colors that people might like to see the little plush squids in. Right now I have
Teal, Baby Blue, Red, Purple, Baby Pink, Orange, White, and Lime Green
If you have any other ideas for squid colors let me know. :3

JAFAX AHoy!!!
Posted 11 years agoThere has been a small change of events I will in fact be selling at Jafax this year.
For anyone that is curious, and lives in West Michigan; Jafax is an anime convention that takes place at Grand Valley State University June 21-22.
The cool thing about this convention is that there is no cost of admission, and parking is free as well.
I will be selling in artist alley and will have some really fun things. Tails, ears, steampunk Jewelry, mini tophats, Squid plushies, and some small totoro/soot creatures as well.
I am a little relieved to know that I will be selling at that convention. I usually have a good turn out of people that like to purchase my wares, and I am always so excited to meet people who are really interested in the things I sell or share the same interests.
I may need some help during the convention, if anyone would like to be there to help me watch the table let me know.
Also, the weeks leading up to the convention I may need some assistance getting things together, priced, photographed etc. So I will def be a busy snow leopard for awhile.
There is also a possibility that I will have information about the both I will be sharing at the Grand Rapids comic convention in November.
Either way, at each convention I will be displaying some of my realistic fursuit pieces. I feel like in those settings, my realistic work is more appreciated, however, if you do suit feel free to stop by my table and say hello.

What's been going on lately
Posted 11 years agoI wish I could say that I have been up to a bunch of really exciting and important things, but I suppose that is only partially true.
This past weekend I was away helping
with a performance of Legally Blonde. I learned a lot more about tech work in the theatre though. So I am happy that I can start helping more during strike. Which really just translates to "Sanura, haul this stuff from here to here, and then to the trailer."
But it is kind of strange that I find the work that Hyler does is just so sexy to watch him so focused and working on something that he enjoys. Maybe it's strange, but hey it makes him happy to know I enjoy watching him work. :p
As for myself, I have been working on a premade, and I am debating on divulging the secret early, or waiting until I have more of it done before posting it up on here. It is a Halloween themed wolf suit, black and white. So if anyone is interested in seeing him before he is finished, let me know?
I have one commission slot taken so far. I still have at least two left, I might open more if the projects stay small enough. I'm excited because I have never worked on any newer species, so making a beaver will be interesting and a learning process! I have the furs picked out and just need to get confirmation on the last one to order it.
I did not make it into Jafax for selling in artist alley, but I may still go up one day and try and form a meet of some kind. Since I won't be selling, I can actually go around and fursuit alot more and actually have fun with people.

Open for another round of commissions
Posted 11 years agoRound two is now open.
I shipped off the last piece I had to complete since one of my other commissioners had to drop their order due to personal reasons.
This means I am open a month earlier than I planned.
I know there are a few people that I have already quoted and have been waiting patiently. For anyone else that might be looking, now is a good opportunity to get your quote in.
Realize that I like to work on heads one at a time, that way I can make sure that each one is getting my undivided attention.
Usually I can work on other pieces (tails, hands, feet) at the same time, since they are not quite as detailed oriented and do not require me to have more than one mannequin head in my possession.
I would really love to take on some more projects with resin bases and work more on realistic work this round. Feel free to message me with any questions.
Here is my website: http://snowleopard-creations.webs.com/ the quote form can be found on the front page.

I would really love to take on some more projects with resin bases and work more on realistic work this round. Feel free to message me with any questions.

Post con and other things
Posted 11 years agoMCFC has come and gone. Had a good time with friends. Saw a few things that I hope get changed for next year. But all in all spending time with friends was the best part.
I did end up with a few meltdowns that ended up with me holing myself up in the hotel room. Probably frustrated Hyler a little bit, but he stuck by me. The time I did spend down and out in the lobby and swimming, and getting to chat with people was really fun.
The one thing that really annoyed me was the lack of con books. I couldn't find a schedule anywhere, and I don't have data on my phone so I could not access the schedule with it either.
Got home Sunday night, unpacked, did some laundry, and passed out for one last night with the boyfriend.
Monday was finishing up laundry, getting Hyler home, and then resting. I sprained my wrist so I took some pills and laid down for a little bit. Then sat down and spent about 6 hours on Lonewolf.
The head for him is almost done, needs neck, ears attached, and a tongue/teeth. Then furring feet, doing bias tape on the handpaws and feets paws, and he will hopefully out by the end of this week.
Omega will be done next. Should be done by the end of May if not before.
I'm pushing my wrist probably a little harder than I should be. But since I was rejected for artist alley for the convention in June I dont have to worry about getting suits done as well as building stock for a convention.
I also only work two days this week, since the manager copy and pasted the schedule, so it will give me a few extra work opportunities.
I think that's everything, sorry if the journal is a bit muddled, sitting on break and my brain is going miles a minute.

MCFC this weekend (and other updates)
Posted 11 years agoConvention this weekend. Getting there on Friday and leaving on Sunday. Hoping to run into a few familiar faces.
Not sure if I will be bringing my fursuit or not, mainly because I haven't been able to get to the necessary repairs done to her.
I did take one day out this weekend to sew up some more bandanas that I hope to be selling in the artist alley if I am given a chance. Hopefully someone will be interested in a few custom orders while I am there. I have some really cute fabrics so here is hoping they sell.
Any stock that is left after the con will be put up here for sale.
Commission updates-
Jaguar tail was completed.
Unfortunately I had to put the Omega head on the backburner for awhile because of needing to get Lone Wolf his partial before May. In a way it isn't all bad, because I have come up with a few new ideas on how to make the head even more awesome for her. I still remain super excited about getting to work on that project and getting her done.
To Lone wolf''s partial: I should have it finished up in time to get it to him before the first weekend in May.
All that remains is furring the feet
Detail work on hands
Finish furring the head/install eyes/ ears
Then I will start cracking down on Omega- which I hope to have completed by the end of May.
After I finish my current list of commissions I will be starting the next round, which I know a few people are already asking for slots in.

The plague
Posted 11 years agoLooks like I got the cold that has been going around recently. Woke up with all the facial congestion, water balloony, cold sweat, sore throatness. Whoo hooo. I guess it's a birthday present to myself. Sucks, but can't call in to work either, because there is no one to cover my shift. it's going to be a long day.
Going to try and get my lazy ass out of bed to start doing some more carving before work tonight.
Jaguar tail is completely sewn, just needs the airbrushing.
Hadrian has a new nose.
Lonewolf-feet and head are left-started sculpting both though
Omega- Foaming still, just not happy with the result so far.
Trying to get pictures for updates, but my mother has been running away with the camera recently, and I can't seem to find the charger for it, because it finally died. She must have put the charger in the "I"ll put it here so I don't lose it spot" and then you promptly forget where it is.

Busy Busy Busy
Posted 11 years agoSo this weekend involved going to up to work on a set piece for the Shrek Musical as well as return the LED's I forgot to put in with the rats last weekend.
Came home Sunday early afternoon and went out to dinner with my family for a birthday meal for my Uncle and I.
Then worked on putting a new nose on one suit.
Carving out apoxie to reset eyes in Hyler's suit
Preliminary painting on Hyler's eyes
Today I have worked a little bit on carving on Omega
Carving on Feetpaws
Attempted trying out a few new fabrics for the toony eyes, but not sure if I really like any of them.
Finished grinding and cuttig out apoxie and was able to finish painting and setting the eyes for Hyler. They just need some apoxy eyelids to get rid of the O.O stare.
Spent the next 8 hours finishing up the spots on the Jaguar tail, hopefully will be getting it all finished tonight.
This week should be fairly interesting. I work 4-1 Tues-Thurs. Then Friday I will be going up to see the musical as well as celebrate my birthday with Hyler. Because he can't be down for my actual birthday.
Will either be home Saturday evening, or Sunday afternoon to work some more on sculpting.
I will try my best to get more carving done before work. :)

Delay this week (updates commissioners please read)
Posted 11 years agoThis week is pretty much shot as far as any major work goes.
Work has kind of screwed me over by not following my availability. Usually I work 4 days a week on a closing shift. This gives me time to work before I have to go in, as well as giving me three days to work on my other projects.
This week they took my availability and threw it out the window.
I have to work all 8 hr shifts, and a 10 hour shift on Friday. The friday that I was to have a doctors appointment and go up to Muskegon to finalize the RC rats. That would have given me Saturday and Sunday to come back home and work on other commissions.
The reason I don't normally come home from Muskegon same day is because: A. It's over an hour away, each way. B. It is the only time I get to see my boyfriend since his car got in a wreck this winter and he hasn't been able to get a new one yet.
This week I will basically be losing my Friday due to work, and my Saturday to the rat delivery. However, I should at least have Sunday to do some work.
I will also be taking up some handsewing stuff to work on while I am up there.
Sorry for the delay this is causing. I'm going to try and get my schedule at work straightened out, so I don't have to keep putting up with a manager who can't seem to do their job properly.

Change of plans
Posted 11 years agoDidn't feel like airbrushing mice today.
Starting handpaws instead. Moving airbrushing to either tomorrow or Thursday.
It won't effect the foaming or other work. Just moving things around because i"m sick of looking at the rats atm.

Weekly Update March 3rd-9th
Posted 11 years agoWorking another 7 days in a row this week.
Working 5pm-1am closing shift at my normal job and on top of that I have a lot of sewing and work to get done.
Today- I am going to work on finishing up the ears on one of the rats and getting the tails done. Going to also try and get at least one, if not both; airbrushed so all that is left is detail work.
After work will be sewing Jaguar spots until I pass out.
Tuesday- Will start foaming Omega's head
Then more jaguar spots until I fall asleep.
Wednesday- Pattern out handpaws for wolf, and sew pawpads
Evening again dedicated to sewing Jaguar spots
Thursday- Working more on Omega's head. Probably will still be in the foaming stages.
Jaguar Spots
Friday- Deliver rats to the theater. Spending the weekend with the boyfriend. I will be taking the handpaws to sew, as well as the jaguar tail. These are pieces that I can sit and hand stitch without making too big of a mess in someone Else's home.
Saturday- I might be taking the day off if I get all the work done that I have lined up at this point.
Sunday- Will be returning home and will probably work on Omega more. Also tentative planning to pattern out Armsleeves.
The jaguar tail is taking up a lot of time. Hand stitching each spot will probably result in the tail having close to 100 pieces stitched in once all is said and done. Then it will be airbrushed with the red.
