Posted 8 years agoI try not to repost too many of the "Please help" journals that I happen to see on FA because I'm worried people will stop paying attention, but as someone who's had their own fair share of getting kicked in the dick by life and then kicked in the teeth for good measure when I see a very truly unfortunate string of events, I want to help if I can.

Movie Night on the Couch: Round 8 UPDATE!
Posted 9 years agoOk... So I've been doing my best to work on the couch, but I have hit a bit of a snag. A few months back my desktop died on me. I've been getting along fine on my laptop because it's a beast, but sadly not beast enough to handle something the size of the couch. So I'm looking at getting a new desktop and fast.
This is the computer I'm looking to replace it with. Truthfully I could do without the flashy packaging, but it's the most powerful computer I can find for the price and I have a line of credit with Best Buy so it won't hurt my wallet quite as much as buying else where.
I get paid this coming Tuesday and I'll be using the money from that paycheck to buy my new computer so I'll be able to really get a good start on the couch as soon as I have that.
Sorry for the delay you guys. I really mean it. I'm going to make this one the best couch I've done yet to make it up to all of you!

YCH Slave Charity Auction: Rikoshi!
Posted 9 years agoThis auction is a little different. I'm doing this to help out my friend Rikoshi Rikoshi For those of you who don't know Rikoshi is a Japanese translator and all around awesome fox. For the past few years life has really kind of been kicking him in the balls (more on that here)and I wanted to do something to help out.

Movie Night on the Couch: Round 8
Posted 9 years agoUPDATE: I have 11 spots left. I've partly been waiting for all the spots to fill up before I start because people have a tendency to ask to be paired with someone else they noticed is on the list later on and it can screw up my work if I've already drawn that character with someone else. Also for about a month I've been putting in a lot of over time at my web design job trying to keep up with all of the projects we've had to deal with. Hopefully that's over now.
I still have 11 spots left on the couch. I'm going to continue taking spots through this weekend (October 8-9). Come Monday (October 10) I'm going to begin work on the couch with whoever is on the couch at that time. I will likely not being taking anyone on the couch at that point even if there are a few spots still available.
Since I'm not starting nearly as early as I thought I would be able to I'm not going to make my Halloween deadline like I had hoped. I will work my little tail off though to try to be done before thanks giving. I am grateful to everyone who signed up early on being patient with this. You have no idea how much I appreciate that. Thank you very much.

For those of you that don't know the couch commissions are a large group commission of about 30 individual furries all having a very large orgy on the infamous big red couch. Here's last years couch for example. Each couch is unique to the one's before or after it.
Time Table
I'm aiming to have this couch done by October 31st. Since it should be coming out close to Halloween feel free to include a request for a costume in your email. As this is an orgy sexy costume ideas are better and I do reserve the right to reject a costume choice, but that doesn't mean you automatically don't get the spot so feel free to ask for a costume if you want one and we'll discuss if necessary.
Occupancy Limit
30 people total.

$85/person.

Well then, due to an unforeseen and rather large expense rent came up a little short this month and I need to make some money fairly quickly. To that end I'll be taking 3 yiff commissions. As I need the money somewhat urgently payment will have to be upfront, but with a promise that the piece be finished before the end of the month or a refund will be available.

Posted 10 years agoSo, thanks to recluse spiders in my apartment I'm moving at the end of the month. I was all set to be able to pay the deposit on the new place with my second paycheck this month, but several of my bills were higher than expected and that's left me coming up short.
So, I am going to be taking a limited number of single-character Halloween commissions!
Each of these is going for $55. That gets you a full color and shading, single character commission with a simple background. I might be willing to combine two singles into one double, but that is on a case by case basis.
I'm mainly looking to have fun with these so sexy poses and nudity are always welcome. People standing around in cool poses are also acceptable as well as action poses. No creepy body horror, blood, severed limbs or things of that nature please. Here is an example of what I'm thinking: Halloween Sapph

Posted 10 years agoFor those of you who didn't notice the spider comic I put up not to long ago I'm going to be moving soon. I have finally found a place I can afford and isn't significantly crappier than the place I have currently been living in (not counting the spiders) The place is actually better. If I'm lucky I'll be upgrading to a 2 bedroom for LESS per month than I was paying before. If not I'll still be moving into a one bedroom in the same location that's bigger, has better amenities and is cheaper, so no downsides. I'll be putting in an application this week, and I hope to be moving in shortly after the 1st of September.
So, all that said there's just ONE kink in this otherwise great plan. I don't have money for the deposit on the apartment. I got paid on the 17th and by the 18th unexpected or unexpectedly high bills ate up all but $150 of my money. @_@ So... I need to raise some money pretty quickly, but I'm not really sure what to do.
I've thought about doing another couch or just taking commissions until I have enough to cover the deposit, but I was thinking there might be a different/better idea I just haven't thought of yet.
So I'm looking to all of you! What would you like to see me do to raise money?

Posted 10 years agoSorry I've been kind of incommunicado the past few weeks. I was SUPPOSED to be moved into my new apartment by now, but my potential landlord turns out to be an unreliable git. I was supposed to move in on the 10th of January, but the place needed renovations that took longer than expected to complete and so he had to delay my move in date to the following weekend. Then he needed to delay it again. And again. So I said I'm done waiting and I'm getting my security deposit back.
However, I have basically been in a perpetual state of "going to be moving any day now" for the past month so I've had the majority of my stuff packed up and have been living out of boxes the entire time. So for now I'm still crashing in my parents basement and looking for a new place to move into. Not fun, but it is what it is.
Anyways, I'll be posting some more art tomorrow and updating the Couch journal with everyone who's on it. Ended up with 29 people in all. Woo!
Anyways, on a completely different note I've heard from a few people that they wish that I did more with social media. I've never really been terribly into the whole facebook, twitter and tumblr scene. Largely because I never really felt like I had anything that was worth telling the world about. So I figured I'd ask.
What kind of stuff would you like to see me post and where?

Posted 11 years agoOk, so I realize I've done a piss poor job of keeping everyone updated on life events.
So, I got my second degree in web development and, after a few months of looking, picked up a job as a web designer... in a different city. But I have a friend who lives close to me who works in the same building as I do so we've been carpooling to work. I was originally part time, but recently went full time so I have been making the drive every day for the last couple months. However, my friend was recently in a motorcycle accident and is still in the long process of recovering. As such, I've been doing the drive myself. Every weekday. For an hour. Each way.
So, in the last few months, the demands that my job has had on my time has been getting greater and greater as we've also had a couple employees leave to pursue jobs elsewhere and so I'm suddenly one of the lead designers. So yeah, lots of fun.
So, between the continued strain on my time, the extra money spent on gas every week, and the hour drive home every night sucking out any desire to do anything at night save eat dinner and go to bed, I've decided it's time to move.
I have a place lined up and I'm going to be moving in early January! Woo!! However I'm still going to need normal things that you would need in an apartment. Like a bed and such.
To that end I'm going to be opening up 20 spots on a new couch picture starting this Monday! I'll be posting official rules and everything then. The couch will be started after I have finished moving in, with the completion date being March 30th, 2015.

Posted 11 years agoIn light of FA being down for the majority of the time the auction was running I have chosen to reschedule it. I will be posting it again Monday evening. I'm giving the current high bidder before the attack the option of retaining his bid when the auctions resumes.
