So uh... I'm trying to get back into making art. It's been hard.

What seems to be my biggest barrier right now is not knowing how to do certain things, and having no one to ask. I need some people who are more experienced artists than me, just for the occasional question on say, how the fuck digital shading is done, or, what the fuck is wrong with this pose.

Sorry for the emo post before, I'm just so used to birthdays going poorly :p In the end, things worked out, and I still have a smile on my face. <3

On Friday, a friend of mine wrangled the troops to our favourite local goth club, and we had a great night there.

Saturday, I hung out with some of the Feral! furries and made things all day... it's what I love best. even DJ'd live while we worked, and it was amazing!

Sunday and Monday were just lovely times hanging out with my mate, who made me dinner and gave me a sweet card with some fun little gifts.

It's my birthday on the 23rd. I have a party planned for the 21st... and so far, no one's going but me and my partner.

I hate birthdays, every year it's just another kick to the self esteem.

SPOILERS AHEAD.

I had no problem at all with the ending... it was good with me.

The only complaints I have with the game involve how the ME2 romances were handled, particularly Thane's, as that's the one I was involved in... though I've heard others say similar things about Jacob, Miranda, and a few others.

I'm kinda sad you can't romance James, which is funny, because at first I hated him. He's not typically my type, but he grew on me, because under that army brat exterior is one genuinely sweet dude. D'aww. He'll never replace my Thane, though. <3

I really felt every moment of Shep's lonliness after Thane died. No one even asked if she was okay afterwards. Brutal.

I destroyed the Geth, but I was sad about it.

I chose to control the Reapers.

Oh yeah... and earlier on in the game, when you go after the indoctrinated Hanar official, the Salarian you're working with mention that the Hanar have lost their homeworld today. Did anyone else freak out because that means whatever's left of the Drell are fucked, too? Ahhhhhh, noooo!

Anyway, I should get to bed. That was fun. Later I'll go through a second time with my full renegade Shep. :)

I'm alive, more or less! I bring you the unfortunate news that I will be issuing mandatory refunds for any commissions I haven't yet started, as I really need to clear out my backlog.

The pieces to be refunded are as follows:

I won't be refunding these all at once, as this list comes to a few hundred dollars, but at a rate of a few a month, I will contact the commissioners.

Otherwise, I've been trying to figure out why I've been constantly exhausted, dizzy, woozy, forgetful, weak, and with low blood pressure. I've been to a bunch of doctors to be poked and prodded already, and they still don't know what's wrong with me. I hope they find out soon, because whatever this is is making day-to-day life a bit of a struggle.

At least we already know it's not anemia or diabetes. Yay?

Life's been crazy. Also, I have my stuff back, finally.

I suck at finishing commissions in a timely sort o' manner; this is no secret. I took way too many in my desperation to make ends meet over the years I wasn't making enough money, and now I look at my list and the mojo just drains right out of me. That sucks, and it's not fair to you sweet people who traded coin for a spot on that list.

I'd like to offer refunds to those who wish them.

I can't refund everything all at once, though, so please understand that it might take a little while. <:)

Let me know if you want one, if I still owe you art, of course, and I will dig about to see if I've started your piece yet- if not, you shall go on the refund list. If I HAVE started your order, I'll happily finish it for you, or refund the uncompleted portion.

I plan to be at Anthrocon this year, in the dealer's den; I will NOT be taking anything more complicated than black & white badges and sketchbook pencils/inks. I'll be offering face and body painting instead, but anyone wanting refunds/art owed can also speak to me there.

I'm genuinely sorry for my irresponsibility. My intention was never to rip anyone off... I just bit off a lot more than I could chew (I never was good at estimating, hurr). I *do* intend to make it right.

The vast majority of people who look at that kind of thing are people with brains. They know that touching kids is wrong, and they're not gonna do it. They look at the art instead.

Here, say, I enjoy art that depicts rape/non-consensual scenes. Hell, I've DRAWN a bunch myself. Does that mean I'm going to rape people, or that I think real-life rape is okay? FUCK NO.

Do people who enjoy gore art go around tearing out peoples' guts?

Do voreaphiles go about eating people?

Liking furry porn means you like to fuck animals, right?

I'm personally not into cub stuff, so it being banned is no skin off my nose, but some of the idiocy surrounding it was making me rage.

REAL child porn is -definitely- NOT OKAY. However, drawings (as long as they weren't referenced from real CP) are fine. Quite frankly, pedophilia is a real fetish for some people, and they'd be much more likely to actually touch kids if they no longer had any drawings to look at instead, in my opinion.

P.S. - How many people enjoy Hard Blush stuff? I certainly do, it's well drawn and really cute. A lot of the characters depicted certainly aren't of legal age. I don't see anyone screaming about that... Just saying.

Yours is not, in fact, the 'ONLY' place people can get custom collars, cuffs, belts, and MOAR. Stop claiming it is.

I personally know at least a dozen people (not including myself) who do custom work, and considering that the people I've spoken to who HAVE ordered from you are unimpressed with your quality, that's a pretty arrogant claim to make.

So, my AC was largely a bust, what with not getting a table Friday OR Saturday, and sales being dismal on Sunday. I got to meet up with some old friends and there was the usual shenanigans, but I was so goddamn stressed about not being able to cover my costs because of the table issue that it pretty much killed the rest of my time. :/

I'm gonna be at a dealer's table next year, and quite likely doing facepainting in addition to simple commissions. :) And this time, I WON'T FORGET TO MAKE BUSINESS CARDS. At least, I'll keep telling myself that.

UPDATE ON MY STUFF: It's looking like I'll have access to my stuff very soon, and man, I can't friggin' wait. By now I've forgotten most of what I have over there, so it's gonna be like Christmas. Except it's my stuff already. Um.

Yeah, anyway, I should be vomiting a huge backlog of art onto your unfortunate internets by the end of the summer. Fingers crossed!!

Working full time while trying to find a house is... tricky, to say the least. Wish me luck that I'll have something pinned down by Sunday's end... I miss having a room of me own!

I hope to take some pictures of the things I've been drawing in the meantime and upload them, but I have no idea when that will be. I'm very much in stasis art-wise with no access to my usual kit (supplies, scanner, my DESKadkalgjds;as) and I frigging MISS drawing (especially colouring) like you wouldn't believe.

House first... hopefully access to my stuff will come by the end of next month... I'm doing my best to be patient, but I'm really getting antsy. Again, I'm so sorry to all of you waiting, please bear with me! As soon as I have my shit I'll get working HARD.

I have a good place to stay until Jan. 10th- I'm working on finding a place of my own by then.

I have a steady job and money is getting better, though I'm trying not to go too crazy all at once- I have a LOT of stuff to replace, and a lot of it is a bit pricey.

The phone plan I've had for the past five years runs out Jan. 5th, so I'm looking at finding a new one ASAP. So far my best bet looks like Rogers' $50 data plan with the LG Eve for 99¢ with a three-year contract. Otherwise I'm looking at Fido. Any suggestions from Canadians?

Between working full time, holiday visits and trying to find a new place, I've really had no time to work on art, but that will change once things settle down a little in mid-January.

Waiting for the rollercoaster to slow down, and optimistic!
