If you can answer my question, you already know that you can download SAI on Mac. You also already know that SAI for Mac does NOT support pen pressure. But there is A way to make it work.

I actually have both Windows and Mac on my computer. Unfortunately I can't run both at the same time. So with some research, I saw that if you torrent Windows 7 Ultimate (using the program Parallels) that you are able to use PEN PRESSURE in SAI on the Mac. However, I am NOT paying $80 for this program. I torrented it, however I need an Activation code. What I'm asking is, is there a way around the Activation code without limiting myself to just using a trial only to be fucked over later?

What kind of tablet do you guys use?

I sadly discovered recently that Wacom updated all of their drivers (including the drivers to old models) so that they would NOT be compatible with SAI and programs like it. My new tablet seems to work pretty well with Fire Alpaca. But. FA is not SAI and is FAR less capable of doing what I need to do.

So my curiosity leads me to what others have, but since I favor SAI, I prefer answers from folks who have a tablet who use the program.

Edit: To those who have this problem and like me, were also in the middle of a huge goddamn fucking project, you can save your .SAI file as a .PSD file, and still open it in Fire Alpaca as a last resort.

Recently I was an idiot and went on a Screen-Recorder download spree, so that I could start promoting my own video Let’s Plays and Tutorials. To add, I also downloaded AIM. Then randomly the other day, my Paint tool SAI program stopped working. Not completely, it would open files, and I could edit them just fine. But when I tried Drawing more than one line, Undoing or Saving, it would freeze for a minute or two before I could even take one more step. Then freeze for another minute or two.

Simply sounds tedious, but its preventing me from getting any work done. So I just clean out everything that may have caused the problem, either newly downloaded programs or old ones, and Uninstalled pretty much everything I’d used in the last week. That partially helped: I was able to draw TWO lines before it lagged.

I’d clear out the rest of my computer, but I have things on this computer that I’ve paid for and of course am afraid to lose, since I have such bad luck with these things.

So I tried deleting SAI and redownloading it. Same issues continued, as I expected they would.

If anyone who knows the Program, or could direct to someone who could help, send me a Message, or Reblog this because this is important. Commission money is half my income right now, and if I can’t get them done, well, you see my problem. I need to know if this is something SAI does after a while and then it’s over with and I can never use the program again, or if this problem can be fixed.

EDIT: I've tried restarting, defrag the computer, running SAI as an administrator, and re-installing my tablet drivers too, and that didn't work.

I'm taking what I can get, really. No one's gnawing on my title card or my comic illustration offers, and alot of stuff is changing. I got a better paycheck than usual, but it's not going to be enough after this month, and I still owe utilities, AND I have to take a plane out to Michigan really soon. Not fun.

I have to color one last MLP commission, and do one lineart commission for someone back at Anime Expo. There was one other commission I had to finish from AX, but they have yet to contact me, so I have to wait till then to finish it. But that doesn't mean I can't tackle a few things at once.

Guess what happened to me this year?

My wallet got stolen by my associates.

They spent $1600 I did not have.

I reported my identity being stolen, and justice was not upheld.

My bank graciously returned my money to me, only to take it back a few months later.

I stressed, bitched, and fought for what was rightfully mine.

I fucked Bank of America up the ass with a razor dildo, and switched to a more reliable bank.
