I hope to be more active here in the new year, I will know the full results of my licensing exam in about two weeks here. I got a prelim. Pass so hopefully no more long hours of studying (except for continuing education). Then I can get started on my VTS but that is more of a passive completion over 3 years with 1 case study to turn in.

I have a ton of photos to go through, adjust in GIMP and upload here. I will also be uploading them to my dA (The-Last-Kumiho though I may change that if I get more active over there) as well as my weasyl account (Rabies).

I will also be reopening my trades in January. Just a heads up that the rules have not changed much, all you have to do is provide me with an idea and trade me back something to the best of your skill level. Even if that is a pencil sketch, an MS paint or a macaroni and glue picture.

I'm not sure about hosting this but I am willing to do another secret Cupid for Valentines day.

I had a photography moment today. I love seals. I love how they are big and fat and silly. They are moulting around this time and come ashore at a local state park. I have a 55-300 MM zoom but the seals didn't want to come close to me, so I waded out into the ocean up to my hips with my camera to snag some photos of them as close as I could get without them swimming away. So cold but totally worth it. The photos aren't that great but I'm still happy with them.

I beat my time from last year and managed to get over a few obstacles that I had to skip before. I also reached my major goal of not hurting myself this year!
I will continue my fitness and back strength training (thank you health insurance for helping me pay for a gym membership). So far I run 3 miles each gym trip for a total of 12 miles a week and now do lifting, sit ups and yoga.

OK, I am a photographer all day long but I do also like to draw. When I was living at college and with my parents I had access to a scanner so it was easy for me to upload pictures and then dick around with them in GIMP with my mouse. But now that I am living with my mate, I have started drawing again but I lack a scanner. We really should invest in a printer (for legal online documents, the apt has a business computer we can use but I don't always feel secure with it) but I'm not sure about getting a "death star" printer/scanner combo.
So, for fun, I was looking at tablets on Newegg. I'm saving up to replace my clunker so I can't really spend a ton of money on something like a wacom (500 usd+ is just way out of my range) but I saw a tablet made by Genius for about 40 usd. Has anyone used this brand? Or can any one recommend another OK brand for under $100? I don't really need anything super fancy, as you can see by my gallery I have no intention of making cash off of my scribbles :P
