So It's been nigh two years....
General | Posted 12 years agoTwo years of MIA....
Two years of bouncing around....
Two years of being unstable as hell...
But that's finally changing...
Just entered a lease....in a wonderful house...
A place I intend to be a home.
So much has changed...
So much is still the same...
Keep an eye out, Sarcy's coming back with a whole new bag of tricks.

General | Posted 12 years agoJust letting everyone know I'm still alive, just not settled yet!
Out of the Frying pan and into the fire.
General | Posted 13 years agoAs of Saturday February 9th, 2013 I find myself with out a job again. I'm pretty sad about it too. I actually feel more like I'm mourning the death of a person than the loss of my own job or the closing of a bakery.
BakeryBarn closed its doors for good because with the economy in the shitter people just weren't spending the money on frivolous stuff that they were. Like donuts and cakes.
I already miss my job at BakeryBarn greatly. The people I worked with were awesome. We were truly like a strange...mildly deranged little family. And while I miss my job, my income, and my co workers, I actually miss some of my customers quite a bit.
I find my self mourning the closing of Bakery Barn for the customers more than anything. I felt we truly made a difference to some people and their happiness. We had many grandchildren and children who came in to buy donuts for their parents and grandparents, often for those who lived in homes or were too disabled to get out on their own. They all had a favorite donut, be that a maple iced white filled long john, or an old fashioned sour cream or what ever. It truly made some peoples days...weeks even to be able to get something like that that they loved.
I know logically they'll find something or some where else to get their fix, but I'm still sad for those who're going to miss it. The little girl who'd been coming there since she was 2 years old who'd run up and jump into the owner's arms and have him take her straight to her favorite donut and pick out the best one. The old men who came in for their sweet tooth fix and to flirt with us girls who worked behind the counter to see if we could sass back or blush instead. The mail men who came in for their chocolate fix and a cup of coffee. The husbands who come in at 5:30 in the morning in their house coats and pajamas, waiting till we opened so they could get their pregnant wives a double chocolate cake donut and anything with jelly and don't forget the reesecup cupcake and two chocolate milks. And all the little hurts we healed with smiley face cookies and rainbow tea cookies that made getting a shot better or going to the dentist not so scary.
All of the weddings and anniversaries that we made special and all the birthdays that were true celebrations with cakes that looked like they were out of this world. Frosting magic that made the centerpiece of any get together.
All of that's gone.
No more.
I don't know of anyone else who's mourned loosing their job like I have....
But damnit...I'll miss it.
I'll miss making all of those people happy, warm, content, safe.....
I'm gonna miss making those smiles.
I'm gonna miss that family.
I hope I find another awesome place like that to work, and I hope I get to see it prosper.
I guess these are the reasons I love working in a bakery....Why I love cake decorating.
But the good news is I've been applying everywhere and I've got an interview today. It's at another retail bakery, like when I worked for Walmart, but should be tolerable and includes doing donut finishing which was early in the morning and I loved it.
I have also interviewed at a Union Bakery...which was more like a sweat shop for cakes and it kinda made me sad. The pay would've been awesome. starting at nigh $14 an hour, but the environment was very harsh.
I'd love to get back into another small bakery and keep it.
So wish me luck!

Still Not Settled. Also 'nother year on this spinny thing.
General | Posted 13 years agoI'm still not settled in a home yet, still don't have my desk top so all the commissions I'm currently partially through doing aren't accessable, but things may be clearing up enough for me to work on a few that I haven't started. This moving thing is BS.
Also 26 days til I'm a quarter of a century old.
Not sure how to feel about it.

Still Moving/In Limbo/Getting there
General | Posted 13 years agoAlot has been going on and with the move back to the Cincinnati area I find myself ill equipped to do some of the things I like, but it's alright, the options I have opening up for us far out weigh any current inconvienence.
Currently I do not have a regular internet connection or computer available to me as mine's in storage, so all outgoing commissions are on hold.
I'll set up as soon as I can.
Also interview at the hospital. Woot.

General | Posted 13 years agoMoving again!
So a whole lot has been goin' on lately and there's more to come before we hit the calm after the storm.
Also we're moving again because we've got some work and schooling opportunities that we'd be dumb to pass up.

Dat Fat Ass
General | Posted 13 years agoSo I found a blog that made me think very hard about the relationship I have with my self and the visual ideals I have put upon my self.
http://chubbtacular.tumblr.com/ ((NSFW at all))
I can safely say that there is not a woman on here that I don't think is drop dead gorgeous in one way or another.
Many are the same size as myself, some bigger, and some smaller.
Many have the same body build, some have more booty or more tits.
But I think all of them are awesome and sexy and soft looking.
I one day want to accept my self in the same manner.
Until then, I'm gonna share this blog which shares some really fucking sexy fat chicks.

GLASS ETCHING QUESTIONS!
General | Posted 13 years agoSo while I'm finishing up the last of the Drunken Viking Commissions I took as well as a couple others I have under my belt I have a question for you guys out there in FA land.
I've got a project going for my Amtgard career so to speak.
I've got a limited release mead we're going to bottle.
I want to etch the bottles so in the future if people want refills they can return the bottles and we can identify them as our own.
I also have a couple that are going out as commemorative items.
Soooo....
Since the brew is more or less going to have the same logo on it for many many bottles to come, I want to get a reusable stencil to use with a etching cream. Something I can put on a bottle, put on the cream, wait, whipe it off, and move on to the next bottle etc.
I don't know if this is entirely possible but my little research says it is. I'm finding though that I would have to purchase the equipment to make the stencils, which looks pricey. Since I'm only needing a stencil or two I was wondering if there are any services out there that offer a reusable custom stencil purchase that is etching cream safe.
Or if any of you guys have access to that and are willing to offer your services. I'm willing to pay or trade for a stencil.
IF you can or know of anyone who could help me out with this that'd be awesome. Drop a comment please!
THANKS IN ADVANCE!
EDIT: I appreciate what you guys are putting down, but because of money, space, and equipment restraints and the sheer volume (doing 50 bottles out of the gate) I'm expecting to do this in, I don't have the access to laser or sand blasting capabilities. I also don't want to do each by hand with out a stencil. I realize with stencils things won't be crisp and awesome. But these are more or less being put out for low to no cost and we just need a permanent (read over the years) way of keeping track that they're our bottles, otherwise I'd just print labels and be done with it. The etching gel/creams seem cost effective for what I'm doing if I can find a way to get a stencil to handle it.

STREAMING: COOKING WITH SARCY
General | Posted 14 years agoCome watch me make a Italian dinner from scratch!
Also be sure to have your audio on as I'll be chatting so you can listen to me swear when i hurt myself..or mutter to the food.
That was a blast! I hope to do it again sometime.
Also cheers to all of those who got to see Hozz dancin'!
And all the cursing...
And all the fat kid belly.
Would you watch me cook?
General | Posted 14 years agoLife is finally starting to stop derailing so...here's a question.
While I've not got my drawing wheels on quite yet I've still gotta eat.
And I cook quite a bit.
So I was wondering if I streamed myself cooking, would anyone watch?
I would have it set up so mostly you just saw my hands and what I was working on, I would have a mic set up so I could jabber and explain what I was doing and answer inquiries or just the general usual herpderp that goes on in a stream.
For example tonight I'll be making Homemade Gnocchi (from scratch) with either a meat sauce or a white sauce, I can't decide and Cheesey garlic bread. Would start around 5:30-6:00 PM Central time and go on for about an hour or so while I cooked.
So what's your consensus?

Having our own internet hooked up Saturday evening.
Mean while I'm using a weak signal from a neighbor.
So that's what's goin' on.
Also looking forward to
Hozz's and mine anniversary this Friday. Sometimes It's hard to believe it's been a year since we said (or rather didn't) our "I do"'s. I hope to get my desktop set up so I can do some outstanding commissions and somethin' sweet for Hozz. So off to work on boxes!

Holy Fuck New Job
General | Posted 14 years agoOkay so what is it with things goin' screwy on my first day at any job?
So I started my new job as a service agent for Enterprise. Since I'm a rookie, I get put in one of those yanno...red shirts. And we beam down to planet Rakal and promptly get murdered by some unspeakable horror....
Okay not really.
But I did start for Enterprise and so far I like it. I wash cars and do a lot of driving. It's not too fancy a job but it's got steady hours and I get to more or less be in charge of myself. Oh and drive all the new cars with all the gizmos and gadgets. Which makes gettin' in my '88 S10 all the harder at the end of the day XD Though atleast I know how to turn the radio on and off in it.
But on my first day the guy I was to be helping/working with got fired, sooooooo SARCY DO ALL THE THINGS RIGHT NOW IN A HURRY.
Yay.
But it's all good. Pretty easy. And while I've been working 10-12 hour days, It's not horrible. I get enough sit down time and walking around that my feet don't kill me and it's not too monotonous.
So weee!
We'll see how things go and such. Gonna have Christmas on new years instead...aaaand I think that's about it.

General | Posted 14 years agoGot a call last night and am pleased to say I've procured another position in the work force.
I was working a catering position which wasn't going well. Between racist remarks from my supervisors, being called stupid for asking questions about a job I knew nothing about, bearing witness to sexual harassment, and only recieving on average about 5-10 hours a week I felt the hassle of the job was not worth the compensation and I was all to glad they released me from the position. I personally did not understand if they didn't need the hours to be filled why I was hired.
But regardless I would have been laid off from now till the middle of January. Which wasn't helpful as it was.
We'll see how this next position goes. Service agent for a car rental place. Cleaning of cars and checking basic fluids as well as shuttling them to different locations and picking up customers. A far cry from baking but it'll pay the bills. I'll be happy to get caught back up on some of our big debts and be able to make headway. Which will hopefully only take two or three months to be where I want to be.
I am a very happy, content donkey and happy fat donkeys draw better. =3
This also means I'll be clearing out my current commission Que, and likely slowing down on taking commissions. I'll still be open for them, but expect to see a lot more personal art again and such.
I also want to thank my commissioners. You guys are really awesome. You guys have seen me through several hard times over the last couple years and I'm eternally grateful for that. You've paid bills and bought food. I can happily say I have never squandered commission money and have always spent it on things we've needed. And to those who've donated that is awesonme as well. You guys make it even easier! And for all of those out there who like my art, watch, comment, favorite, and support me as an artist with or with out money thanks! I keep drawing for myself and you guys. You keep me motivated and bring me up when I am down etc.
Thanks!
Also when I hit 3,000 watchers I'll be doing some Fanservice/Kiriban/Happy art times for ya'll. So keep your eye on it.

pisces_kelpHappy Birthday Hozz!
General | Posted 14 years ago
Hozz is Celebrating a birthday today! While I'm going to give him his own special birthday present, you guys can go wish him a good one!
STREAMING Canceled Tonight
General | Posted 14 years agoLost track of time and need to really work.
May stream some other night this week.
Thank you! Thanks a bunch!
General | Posted 14 years agoYou guys have been a life saver. I've gotten the starter fixed on the car, an oil change, and to boot the mechanic messed with the connections for the blower for the heater and it works too!
Unfortunantly my work ate up the couple days I thought I had before holiday but the days after are still open. I will start immediately on your pieces when I come back from Ohio and I'm going to try to get a start on a few tonight.
You guys have really helped me and I hope you all have a wonderful thanksgiving!

Commission Slots! (Help us go home for Thanksgiving!)
General | Posted 14 years agoSo my car needs a starter and a blower motor. I'm not gonna worry so much about the blower motor because I can cope with out heat. I can't use the car though if it won't start.
So I'm looking to raise some cash to get the starter replaced so I don't have it to worry about on my trip back to podunk Ohio!
The Part is $64.95 from Advance Auto/Autozone and with out the tools or workspace to do it ourselves I've got to go to a shop. My mechanic says he's going to charge $65 in labor. Which all in all isn't bad, I'm not complaining, but I could use a little help getting there!
So to cover it I'm going to open 7 $20 commission slots!
You can choose from either monochrome finish http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6718893
Or flats! http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6785970

pisces_kelpWhat a weekend! (Amtgarding, ETC)
General | Posted 14 years agoOKAY
So I finally got to go to an Amtgard Midreign. It was a ton of fun!
It was really immersive to be completely honest. Our phones had went on the fritz Thursday and it was GREAT.
We really got to get into the whole camping and fighting thing.
Thursday night we got there around 10 or 11. Yeah. At night. Thankfully we had a full moon and putting up the tent was pretty easy. So we erected our tent. Did a spot on job as well. Laid out our bedding items and settled in for what had to be the COLDEST DAMN NIGHT I HAVE EVER SLEPT OUTSIDE DURING.
It really probably wasn't that bad. But we were very under prepared for it due to funds and such. We had frost on top of our covers and inside the tent. Luckily they had a small space heater on the campground's bathrooms and that provided a nice warming up Friday morning.
The rest of the weekend was more or less a blur of sleeping on the ground, fighting on the ditch field, staying up way too late around a camp fire, sharing more booze than I've ever known could be passed around. Being offered plenty of good food. Good drink, and good friends. I'm personally not much of a combatant in Amtgard, and those who are more power to them. But fighter, sewer, crafter, comedian, medic, cook, or what ever. Whatever you are, who ever you are I honestly think there's something there for everyone to enjoy.
But enough about that.
I am dead dog tired from all of this and am going to take a quick break and be back to the computer for a little more socializing and perhaps some STREAM SKETCH COMMISSIONS.
So, keep an eye out around 7:30-8:00pm Central time for me to open up a stream for a few hours. Firstly I'm going to go take a bath.
