COMMISSION SPECIAL! 7 SLOTS!
General | Posted 14 years agoOkay folks here's your chance!
SEVEN WEEKS TILL CHRISTMAS.
I will be taking up to 7, slots for these FOLIO commissions. (And perhaps more if things go well)
I will be adding these Folio's to my current commission schedule, and will have them completed in time for Christmas. (They'd make great gifts for yourself or that special someone!)
For the cost of $100 you will receive FOUR (4) Flat colored pictures containing two characters. THAT MEANS YOU'LL BE SAVING UP TO $40 ON MY WORK! WOWZA! (For an extra $50 you can get two more pictures or have one of the images fully colored UBER snazzy like!)
The images can be anything rated G-XXX. Reasonable fetishes will be accepted as well.
If you're wanting a character of yours to have some fun time but they don't have a partner? I'll be posting two rent-a-characters soon that you can play with!
So what exactly would these Folios contain?
1.http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6714487/
2.http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6715100/
3.http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6718237/
4.http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6718578/
5.http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6717928/
6.http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6718893/
For example, I did this series of images for Hozz. This would be likely not be considered a delux Folio (highly cropped poses, and some lagging quality for humorous reasons) But is very close to what I'll be offering for these Folios!

General | Posted 14 years agoJust so ya'll know. My interview went great! I think.
I mean, they've got me filling out new hire informaiton and when my background check and drug tests come back I should be all happy and good to go.
So yay.
On another note WIll likely be a mini hiatus starting Thursday/thursday night. Likely to be doing some to-Ohio driving.
For alot of reasons.

Lets see how I like catering.

Commission Special (Inquiry)
General | Posted 14 years agoI had a thought and was wondering how many folk would be interested in it.
So Recently I guess you could say I did a mini "folio" of Sarc and Hozz porn, right?
It was a lot of fun doing the little series of images and many folks seemed to really enjoy them, so I thought why not offer it out to my commissioners?
But not just a mini Folio of a set of images that I came up with and that's just what you get....
But what if you had a say in what the images were? What if they included your own character(s)?
And with the holidays coming up, for both myself and you guys, I could use the money for gifts and bills, and I'm sure getting a folio for your special some one of some special times could be a pleasant gift. Or hell, get it just for yourself, right?
So I was going to propose for $100 you get 4, count them, 4 flat colored sexy pictures. That's a $20-$40 discount over all for all the work. They can be sequential or unrelated.
So then I was thinking about options I could offer. Firstly I would offer the option of making it a "deluxe". For another $50 you can add two more images and get 6 pictures or pick one of the four to get a full shade, background, etc.
Secondly I know not everyone's a couple so I would have a male and a female character set up to be "borrowed" for the folio, so nobody has to be alone!
And I'm sure there are folks who like my work, but not just my work, so I was going to offer splitting them with
. These can either be single artist or you can choose to have it split between works from me and
. In any quantity or combination with in the set.

My dad was in the hospital to get a shoulder reconstructed.
He's out now and wreaking havoc again, well maybe slower than before...for a bit.
Bah.
I'ma go eat something now that I'm not worried to death.

TWILIGHT SPARKLE HOW I HATE THEE
General | Posted 14 years agoSPOILER FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T SEEN EPISODE 3 SEASON 2Seriously, I've been a cake decorator, I've done cupcakes, I've boxed that shit. AND ANYTIME YOU TRY TO DO SOMETHING NICE BY GIVING THEM AN EXTRA CUP CAKE OR TWO, that shit happens. Oh the icing's touching, oh it's the wrong flavor, oh it'll just go to waste, oh it's the wrong color, oh I don't like where that sprinkle is placed.
TwilightSparkle was every customer a cake decorator hates. AUUGH. I'da smacked a ho if I would've been Mrs.Cake
*Continues to foam at the mouth*
But that's alright, my project for today is to make Pumpkin Cupcakes with Creamcheese icing filling, since yanno, a little more portable than pumpkin rolls. Or atleast for me.

Fucking flu... GODDAMNED IT
General | Posted 14 years agoSo, I woke up yesterday with a slightly scratchy throat.
Went back to bed. Got up by Hozz waking me up for breakfast.
Ate.
Sorer throat.
Back to bed.
Slept.
Hozz came in to wake me up.
Asked for tater soup.
Slept.
Got tater soup.
Slept.
Woke up this morning and rolled into Hozz. Recall breaking a fever once or twice in the night.
Hozz: "I'm glad I quit throwing up..."
Ugh.
Flu.
Death.
Disease.
Misery.
Honestly hoping it's not for real the flu. Hoping it's just a kickass cold.
Hoping....

Contentment
General | Posted 14 years agoI may still be in the "city". Or rather the suburbs, but this morning I felt very happy and content. If not a little bit silly for it.
When living with my inlaws I didn't get to enjoy much of anything so this was the first time I've noticed something so simple in a long while and it made me giddy happy.
Some little bird was singing outside my window this morning all shrill and annoyingly but it made me smile.
I love that I can enjoy the simple things in life.

General | Posted 14 years agoOkay folks, had my little mini honey moon with the
.
The Smoky Mountains were beautiful. And though he doesn't know me nor would he read this, Sorry old guy who wanted to take our picture and I told no and hurt your feelings!
I got a lot of pictures of the mountains and that's about it. Oh and some rocks in a stream on the mountain. Most of them are pretty the same though, and I'm assured you can go Google SmokyMountains and get the same or better images.
A moderate amount of nookie was had and mass quantities of delicious food was had.
If i could find a recipe for Huck Finn's Catfish restaurant's hush puppies...I would make them and eat them and be very very fatter.
Delicious.
I'll be finishing out commissions over the next two weeks and slowly opening to take more on closer to Halloween. I'm currently sewing several projects together for Halloween costumes for myself,
, and
Going with Steampunk theme just for shits and giggles, and to have some extra garb I can have cross over to other things :Hozzlink: and I do.
Though I did have the thought for Hozz and I to portray the Bouncer and Cherry from http://youtu.be/LbPAIexC9r8 ....Which would probably be a hit at the little shindig we intend to attend, and could be cute and fun.
But there's no way in hell I'd wear a dress, let alone one that short. Nobody needs to see me and my flabby thighs.
Sooooo...
Streampunk it is!
Also he is pondering making some wine/beer in a pumpkin. This can only prove to be...frightening.

Character Development
General | Posted 14 years agoOr even CHARACATURE development. Or how ever you want to say or spell it.
Most of us here on FA have a character to represent ourselves or some aspect of our selves and they all had beginnings. Some of those beginnings were in anime, roleplays, or just general scribbles on paper, and sometimes they started off as carbon copies of existing characters. Some how though they always seem to become our own and we keep them around.
The other night we went to go to bed and Hozz looks at all the badges he/we have hanging on the lampshade of the lamp by the bed. He says outloud "Hozz looks like somebody now"
Upon asking him what he meant, he was looking at the comparison of his first badge (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4044257/) and the one I recently made him (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6349068/). He was saying that in the beginning Hozz didn't really look "real" or wasn't "somebody". And it's the truth. He felt too clean cut and not enough personality. Granted I know Hozz a lot better now than I did then. In fact one of the first drawings I ever did of him (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4375636/) looks nothing like the sweet man I draw now. Infact he looked an aweful lot like Brock Sampson.
But it's interesting how characters develop and represent their owners better over time.
I'm not sure where I was trying to go with this journal other than it was a thought. And it was neat to see Hozz's development since it was pretty recent. WEEE!
I'ma go eat supper now.

Now Honestly? Most of those I've only just seen 3 or for episodes for. And I haven't watched any of it in the last three years.
Sweets, desserts, and tasties, oh my!
General | Posted 14 years agoAnybody got some quick easy ideas for something for two and fairly tasty? I'm a little short on flour and no vehicle to get me around so I'm going to have to make due.
I've also got a white cake mix that might be used, and no brown sugar.
I honestly just can't think of anything to bake that would be tasty but I really want something.
Any ideas?

General | Posted 14 years agoFor once I'm not feeling particularly sensitive on the issue of femininity but more that it's on the brain and I'm thinking about it in I guess a more detached and analytical way.
And I don't know that I see it this way because of societies objectification of women (not that it's necessarily a bad thing or one sided. Men are equally objectified or at least idealized to be a certain type and are by no means left out of this sort of expectation, just only in their own flavor.) but the whole expectation as to what's attractive or pretty for women.
Do women themselves dictate what is to be found attractive and feminine or do men?
Which is another good question I think. Because these days we more or less get to choose our attire with no repercussions. It's not like you're mistreated for wearing breeches or what ever these days, at least in the American culture.
Any how I guess I haven't really made any point yet I've just been rambling on some "disclaimer to avoid drama" topics.
But I guess what got me on the subject was that trash hole known as Facebook.
Now I tend to use it kinda for family and just in general to see what everybody's up to. I'm nosy what can I say. I don't post often myself and if I do it's always cryptic BS because that's how I am. I have no need to make momma worry any more about me than she already does. Aaany way. A friend of my Dad's posted a picture of her 72 year old mother sporting her mid-30's daughter's prom dress. Admittedly she looks good in it and I was impressed that she kept herself in that sort of shape. Now my Father posted on there that the lady's dad was a lucky man.
Which eh I guess is none of my business or anything but it gets me to thinking about what men find attractive, and from all ages. I grew up in an odd household. My Dad was 20 years my mother's Senior. Dad was born in the mid 40's to a poor farming family and grew up in I guess the "mountain man" sorta way. Fishing, hunting, trapping and farming for the necessities and working hard to earn money for the things they couldn't supply themselves. He grew up where the word "pregnant" was a hushed, almost a "bad" word. Women wore dresses and men got first servings from dinner and everybody took a bath on the same day in the same tub outside. It really was a different way of life and I gotta admit I really respect having gotten a taste of it in my upbringing. I feel it gives me some of my more wholesome/old fashion principles that a lot of folk from my generation don't have.
My mother on the other hand was born in the mid 60's and was a child of the 70's and 80's with her rock music and punk clothes, and leather pants. If you think of the television series "That 70's Show" where the whole gang hung out and was in and out of the houses and just in general growing up. That was mom. Now it wasn't in suburbia but it was back in the "hollar" so to speak. Infact it was "Tonghollow road". So, mix a little hard working redneck in there and knowing how to do with out as well.
And then I'm a product of all that plus the 90's and the new millennium. So I have a great conflict as to what's expected with femininity.
Anyone that knows me knows I do a fair amount of garbing/costuming and sewing. I attend renaissance festivals and enjoy Amtgard. For both of these the sort of "medieval" attire is accepted so I've become a pretty decent seamstress.
While sewing a friend's skirt as I would never dream wearing a dress or skirt myself, my dad commented how good a job I had done and that he missed that girls don't wear dresses any more and we got on the discussion of what was acceptable and attractive then and then to now. And why I wouldn't ever wear dresses because I felt like it took my "power" away. Now he's never said I had to wear anything in particular or dress a certain way and this wasn't one of those conversations, it was just a conversation.
But we got into the discussion that I felt wearing skirts or dresses made me feel vulnerable and like my power had been taken away and that I was useless and couldn't do anything. That it made me feel demoralized and objectified as a woman. And it's truthful. I do feel that way. If a dress even makes me look "sexy" or "grown up" or "buisnessy" I still feel vulnerable and powerless. I feel like I personally see women. Now wearing pants I feel empowered, in control, and independent. It was a little gut wrenching and weird to see my Dad tear up over me saying I was too independent and proud to be a stay at home housewife and such. I had too much bearing over myself to allow myself to be taken care of. To this day I'm not sure if he was proud of me or sad or both.
Growing up my mom was my friend. She often dressed in hand me down clothes and rarely bought herself new things and was often the sweatshirt and what ever pants she had around type. Then mom graduated college and got a teaching job. And you have to dress nice for that, and wear makeup to interviews, and that sort of thing. Now I was 7 or 8 at the time she started student teaching and substitute teaching and it was so odd to see my mom dressed up...that to me she wasn't my Mom when she was. She was this strange lady. Not that I didn't recognize her, but she just wasn't..."mom" any more. I felt she'd fallen into the category of "woman"...that was powerless and weak willed.
And now I'm married. So I finally feel like I have some femininity all the time. I am a wife, a house keeper, the mother of planned children later, I am...well woman. To a loving man who some how sees all the good in me and doesn't care about all the bad there is. He loves me in my jeans and t-shirts and messy pony tail and bed hair and being covered in paint and grass and mud and dirt and sweaty and hard working little woman. He loves me for me being me. But he says he also finds the elusive dress wearing, make up dabbling, perfume scented me. The me I'm afraid of being...afraid of becoming.
Now I know honestly nothing changes if I put on a dress, he or anybody doesn't see me any different. In fact it's usually the opposite of how I feel. A woman who dresses femininely is empowered and confident and full of well...being a woman and has control over men and others simply by being a woman.
I still don't feel that way though.
I didn't grow up with being a woman.
I grew up being a tomboy who understood women in the sense of a dress and house wife being old fashioned, and quiet, and obedient. I never understood or saw my Mother or any of the women in my family as women. We were all equal to everyone. If something needed done it didn't matter what was between your legs. A woman is just as capable of holding the front end of a tractor up in the middle of January with only a tarp for protection and a lantern for heat in her second trimester as a man is.
To me I grew up with no difference between men and women and gathered some odd fear of it.
This was mostly an odd ramble to get my thoughts out of my head. And some place I can see them.
Feel free to post your own opinions or ignore entirely.

IT'S THE FINAL COUNT DOWN! *que music*
General | Posted 14 years agoAlright folks, it's the final count down on moving.
We've got a move date, Wednesday infact.
Friday my boss fired me for having given him my two week notice...which was screwed up but no worries. That just cements it that we're moving all the sooner so I/we can job hunt!
So after today I'll have packed up my computer and become AFK till we get internet at the house. I may use my phone to check in on things so long as they don't turn them off outta spite.
See ya'll around!
