I love the mentality of my family.

I overheard my uncle talking today about my work ethic. He says "She has to learn that works comes first and friends come later. Doesn't she understand about deadlines?"

This is after I worked multiple 10+ hour day shifts, he knew I was essentially passed out all weekend because of said 10+ hour said shifts, and I tried my best to keep my brain working since I have been literally passing out at my job. As well as I have to keep up with my other chores too.

As well as the fact that I haven't spoken much with my friends in MONTHS because I have no fucking time with this job. So I HAVE been putting my job first. I guess I should just only work, don't talk to anyone, don't eat, bathe, or even take a shit for that matter.

That is all because I VOLUNTEERED to do some work that weekend, even though I didn't have to cause everyone deserves some time off.

I am going to have more of an art hiatus then I originally planned. I am sorry guys, but I really can't afford to turn down opportunities. If you would like a refund, please note me as soon as possible. I am very much willing to give you your money back and pay for the paypal fee to send your money back. Cause I can understand not wanting to wait for a long time for a commission.

With that said, I will tell you about why I will need this Hiatus.

I got a call today from the Census. They are hiring for the next phase and I was chosen to be hired. I was told the location for my training and I start at the end of April. It is only a temp. position for 8 weeks more or less, but I did the math and I will have a nice amount in my bank account at the end of all this.

Essentially  portzebie, I am going to win the bet and then some, so start saving cookie :P.

The only problem is that, I will now have two commitments. One is for the Census, and the other his my super part time job. I will have to balance both while I work for those few weeks. So since I am already having a hard time finding free time now, it is going to be impossible from the end of April to the end of June.

The only time I will be taking off personally from everything is when  portzebie comes to visit me at the beginning of June. Thankfully the Census you can make your own schedule so I can take a few days off and not have to even think twice about it as well as I can take days off from my other job, if they even have work for me by then.

So will I start work on art on what little free time I have? Yes. Will I be able to promise that I can finish your commission before the end of April? No. I really can't do that because of how my super part time job is right now. Can you get a refund? Yes. If you paid me for a commission of any kind and you want a refund, please let me know. I already saved aside the money from my paycheck and I will pay you as soon as I can when I get the note. Please provide your username, what commission you bought, and your paypal address. I will look in my records to see how much I owe you. If I did some work on your commission and you want a refund, I will need to speak with you about what would be fair for both what effort I already spent to work on it as well as your long wait.

If you bought a $1 icon and I already have the sketch done, please just wait a little while longer. I will try to get at least those completed before the Census job starts but I can't promise anything. If I don't have a sketch for you yet and you paid me, then I will just give you the refund if you want it.

If you don't mind waiting a few months for your commission, thank you for your understanding. I really didn't expect things to turn out this way when I started the sale for the icons. I also didn't expect to be so busy when I got the other commissions that I have to do.

My mom took me out to dinner and gave me some money in a card.
My grandpa gave me money in a card.
Crys did some artwork and wished me a Happy Birthday.
Portzie commissioned an artist to do art for me, as well as commissioned Cyrs.
Portzie told me he is working on a piece for me which is going to be epic ^^.

Yeah... I have been working since 5pm EST, and it is now almost 4 am EST. So the 11 hours that I needed to get that extra hundred in pay I needed has been covered. Hurray! Also, I am still not done.Though I am at least I am close to being done now.

I will edit this when I am finally done and I am heading to bed, if I don't coma pass out first.

5:30 Am... I have worked 12 and 1/2 hours. I am going to bed. Night night!

Really, that is all. I know my mom is probably going to give me some money but I need to get my license renewed this year. So, that is down the toilet. My aunt is buying me a few months at Curves so I can lose weight and "Look more attractive", and my friends probably don't remember.

Oh well. It will still be better than last year and all the years I was down in Puerto Rico. Though if all my friends could leave me a message saying "Happy Birthday" I will be a happy camper.

Though I will admit there are a few things I would love to have that I miss. I will just have to find some way to earn them after I win this bet that I have going.

I miss having a DS. I used to play Brain Age everyday and actually had a healthy brain. And I know it actually did work because my brain was quicker at figuring things out for work than they are now. Plus they were improving my memory. But my DS got stolen, so now I have nothing to play the games on yet I still have the games. I also miss playing my Pokemon games with people, especially now that I have wifi I could have more fun with it.

Ah well. I am still very fortunate for what I do have. Friends that care and love me despite my faults, a place to live, food to eat, an amazing person who I get to call my lover from now until forever who loves and cares for me so much. Family, and for the most part my health.

I hope you guys have a happy Saturday and here is to another good year.

If we lived together, I would since I can't cook.

I would since I am the one with the license.

I am. Though I have been learning to compromise the older I get.

Currently mine since I live with them.

We don't have a pet together, but I named most of my dogs.

Our first date was online. We watched a movie together and um... private stuff on a non-sexual nature.

He does. I only have a half brother that I know about. I heard my dad had three but I have never met them.

Since I was a kid... I have been staying up all night and sleeping during the day. (By the way, my mother knew about this and was watching tv with me at the time.)

So, for almost all my life I have always been a nocturnal person. I hate waking up in the morning with a passion and love staying up till 3 am.

Though what makes me a weirdo is lately, I have been getting up around 11 am. Yet studies will tell you that your brain works best when you first wake up. Well, today I have gotten a shit ton of work from my boss that needs to be done for Friday morning and uploaded for later that day.

from about 1 pm to 5 pm I was working. I have in total 41 projects to get done, that need to be split into two. One has 21, the other has 20. Now in the span of that amount of time, I only got 10 of the projects done.

Now I took some time for dinner and got caught up in watching something. So at 10 pm I start working again. Now to finish one half of the project, I needed to finish 11. from 10:00 pm to 11:30, I got 11 projects done.

So to put this in a easy way to see the difference.

10 projects during the daytime: 4 hours.
11 projects during the night: 1 hour and a half.

So I got the same amount of work done in about half the time.

For One, do you know of any desktop webcam software that will work on Windows 7? Also, how would I also be able to stream my music at the same time? I don't want it to be too boring while I work.

If I can get everything set up, I hope to do this at 9 pm EST.

Well there we have it, another month come and gone, thus ending the $1 icon sale. For those of you who missed it, I don’t know if I will ever have this sale again. Though who knows what the future brings correct? I still need to hear from two people about their icons, so they have a slot until they tell me otherwise, which I will note them about.

I wish to take this time though, to thank all the people that supported me with this sale. To the people who posted journals to spread the word about my sale, you guys are awesome. I wouldn’t have had as wonderful of a response if it wasn’t for your kindess. Thank you  neoxii,  stokerbramwell,  gadget,  arius,  portzebie,  skyedancer, and any others that I either forget to mention now or that never told me. You are each very wonderful people. I don’t think I could thank you guys enough.

Though, I also wish to thank you awesome people who bought an icon. When I started this sale, I didn’t even think that I would make it to ten people. I thought at most I would get between 3-5 people that would be interested in my art. I was super excited when the first ten had appeared within days. You can imagine my joy when it reached over 20+ people. Just the thought of it had me crying this morning in tears of joy. I know that your money could be better spent getting a soda or a coffee, but you decided to help me out in a time of need. It has really helped in my view of the furry fandom a little. For that I can’t thank you enough for.

Thanks to all of you, I now have 77 icons that have to be done at the least. For the people who paid in advance, you helped me pay for my pre-registration to Furry Fiesta. I can’t thank you awesome people enough. The rest will be going to the living expenses at the con (food). I hope to see anyone that is going to Furry Fiesta and give them a hug in person. I wish I could give a hug to each and every one of you guys.

Now, for some important information for you fantastic people. I had in inquiry last night as to where someone’s icons were. As well as everyone else must be wondering why I haven’t been a sketching/icon completing machine for the last month. Here is what happened all this month down in the quickest list possible starting first with the main thing that has been taking my time and my soul.

- My super part time job, which usually never has more than 1 or 2 hours of work for me at a time hit me with not one, but two major projects. One of them going to take me over 20 hours to complete alone. The other is product checks and I haven’t even passed the first round of this. In fact, I still have to test this stuff on a Mac computer when my boss sends it to me in the mail as well as possibly on Firefox. So this will be eating my time for awhile.

I promise you guys though that on the weekends I will take some time do to more sketches, work on inking and coloring icons that are already paid for, and getting things up to date. I am so sorry that I didn’t inform you guys sooner. I will also be doing work on this stuff while I am at the con, though I hope you can forgive me if I don’t get much done.

- My aunt fractured her ankle in 3 places at the end of December, why does this affect my time in January you might be asking yourself? Well, I live with her. Since no one else in my family is willing to deal with her when she is in pain, I have had to take her to her doctor appointments. So that takes time away from my art since I can’t really pay attention when I am trying to calm my aunt down. I have tried, and it doesn’t work out. As well as I had to be responsible for the other chores around my home and the grocery shopping all on my own.

Finally though she is able to get around on her own now, but at the beginning of the month that was my first priority.

- The same day that I took my aunt to her first doctor’s appointment for her ankle, that night I had a chimney fire in my home. Our fireplace was the only source of heat we had in our home and when we hired someone to come clean it back before the season started and they told us “You don’t need to have it cleaned.” Well, that was a load of crock because when the fire fighters came in to take care of the fire, they told us what had caught on fire was some crud that was stuck to the lining of our fireplace. Before you guys worry, everything in the house except the fireplace is fine.

Well, after that we were not allowed to run any kind of fire in our fireplace till we had it inspected by trained professionals. Well, one day they had to come here and were making a lot of noise so I couldn’t concentrate on my work. Well, they told us that our chimney had cracks in the lining and because of that we couldn’t run our fireplace for the month. Well, my family got a hold of our insurance company and we got a wood burning stove installed. So the people had to come and install the stove, which meant another day of no work that could be done. And they were here all day.

- As you guys probably don’t know/don’t remember. A month ago I was saying how I might end up being a cast member for a series on Youtube, but I didn’t mention which one. Well, in December I got the official announcement that I was the official cast member of AMV Nightmare. I didn’t want to ruin the surprise for my debut episode which aired this month and I believe I linked on my profile.

Now, the reason I have this under here is that when I got the announcement that I had joined the cast I was told “Oh, we won’t need you to do your voice work until spring.” So I thought I was in the clear. Well, two weeks before the debut episode the member of the cast I talked with said, “Oh, one of the members can’t wait for the first episode so we need all your voice work in two weeks since you are going to that con.” I was saying to myself, “Well shit.” This though only took a few hours of my time, but it was still time lost.

- My aunt was not the only one going to the doctor. I have been going for a little while now to get myself on some form of birth control, but I had to go back and forth to finally get what I wanted in the first place back in November. But thankfully now I have my protection and I don’t have to go back to the doctor till March so that is no longer as much of a worry.

- This past week I got a letter in the mail from a job I had applied for I believe months ago that I saw in the local paper. They told me that I am one of the people that are considered for the application as a librarian aide. Though here is the catch, I had to go take a test. So Friday, I went at 10 in the morning and took my test. Now this in itself didn’t take my day away. The problem was the night before I was trying to sleep for my test… well… that didn’t work out so well. So when I got home I passed out on my bed. I didn’t wake up till 7 pm that night. And then after that I had to work on work and other personal matters to attend to.

TLDR version of all this. I have had an extremely busy month with work issues, family issues, health issues, and heating issues, and other personal things I needed to finish by a certain deadline. Hopefully this month should be a lot easier once I get the work done, but I will be working on the weekends and at the con itself to try to get a good portion of the icons done. I didn’t forget about anyone and I ask for your patience.

Speaking of Furry Fiesta, odds are you will find me chained to the hip with my boyfriend,  portzebie , at his dealer’s den table, at the Super Smash Bros. Tournament (if there is one) and maybe if we are lucky SOB’s, you will see Portzie, Topher, and I participating in a Rock Band tournament. Not that we will be amazing at this, but we will see how things fly. I will keep you updated on any other activities and places I will be at the con on my twitter. There has been a change of plans for the rules of how the $1 icon sale is going to work. Today I was hit with the surprise news from my super part time job that they have work for me and they want me to do it right now. So opening rounds is actually going to be a bad situation not only for me, but for my customers as well.

Here is the way that the icon sale is going to work now.

This sale is going to run like Iron Artist, except instead of sketches, you get icons. I will have 100 open slots ready to put names in. But instead of stopping at one hundred, I will add slots as necessary till February 1st. Though I will be extremely happy if I can fill 100 spots.

The price for the icons are still the same. $1 a piece, and when you have a slot you can order as many icons as you like. These icons are flat colored.

Hey there everybody. How is it going?

First off, I want to say "Welcome back FA!" Hopefully it says up another year at least.

Next: Commissions

As you guys know, I have been swamped doing a number of things. Though just so you guys have some idea what has been taking my time, I will give you a run down.

1. Dogs escaping every time they are put outside to go to the bathroom. Which then means that I have to spend 30 minutes chasing after them before they decide to come inside from the cold. Then when they are inside, they have been scratching and almost breaking every part of my body when I am trying to sleep. And because of their behavior, my sleeping schedule is all out of whack. So it has been really hard to do anything.

2. Work for my super part time job has been flooding in lately. Especially since there is this one piece that hasn't been working. So that has been eating up a lot of my free time.

3. Working on making Christmas wreaths to sell. I have already sold more than I have made. I got an order today for 3 more, so my que right now is 7 wreaths that I have to make.

4. Selling my cards on Ebay. You would think that wouldn't be any work at all... but you are wrong! I have to check each of my cards conditions, write up a proper description so I don't give people the wrong idea about what the condition of the cards are, I have to make sure that my bidders actually pay me, etc. So far so good, I have only had to deal with Ebays Resolution Center 2 times. Both of them were for video games. The people who buy trading cards so far are very serious ebayers.

5. The last announcement at the bottom of this journal.

So yes, I really don't have any free time to spare on doing my artwork. Which really blows especially since I have my tablet now. Though I will try to get working on them after the Christmas holidays are over. Speaking of the holidays.

Next: Holiday Announcement

Since my life has been hectic, I am sorry to say that I can't do Christmas gift art for anyone this year. I love all you guys that are my friends, and I really wish I could but I am so far behind on everything it isn't even funny. I really hope you guys can understand. Hopefully next year I can do something special. Again, I sincerely apologize.

Next and last announcement: Voice Acting Career

Yes, my last announcement for this journal. My voice acting career is really taking off wonderfully. I was told by the awesome  terdburgler that I will be getting the script for our next project soon. What will it be you fans of his work want to know? I am not going to ruin the surprise. All I am going to say, is that it is something you have probably been creaming your pants over. :P

Next, I may have another part in a Youtube series. I am not going to give all the details yet till I have been confirmed that I am in the script, but so far two of the head members of the team like the idea of having me on their cast for next season. I just have one last member to convince and I got the part. I sent in the voice meme I did last year and the guy likes my voice, so it is really giving me a confidence boost. Though work for this won't start till Spring. I will keep you guys updated as thing progress.

Now, for the last bit of shocking news. I got my first paying voice acting gig!Yep, you are reading right. I got my very first gig to voice act, and I got paid for it. It is only a small thing, but it is a really big start for me in my voice acting career. The guy said that he was looking for someone who would act professional, since he had auditions and a lot of the girls that sent in mp3s were giggling and not really taking it seriously. So we had a business meeting on Skype and he really liked my voice, and I did simply what he wanted and he was sold. He already sent in payment as well. So I am really excited about this.

So, if you know of someone looking for a voice actress to work on a project, I will try out for it. Though I will also do voice work on commission. You name your price and odds are I will do it.

Hello Everyone, hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

I have some really great news for my commissioners. I have a new laptop now ^^.

So now, I can actually work on commissions and see what the fuck I am doing. And not only that, I have a computer that can support my art programs now and will probably be amazing for my new tablet. It runs a lot faster, and now has shiny Windows 7. I love my new computer so far. I am so exicted I couldn't sleep.

The only delay right now that I am going to have is the wreaths I have to do while the market is still good for them. Otherwise I will work on what is still owed, I promise you guys.

It has been 5 months since my last thank you post. I thought that I should put this up especially since I have been very down lately about my art talent.

I am almost at 5k page views. Already over double from my last post that just went over 2k. Though I owe those views to the fabulous people who I have the honor to call my lover, and my friends. Though I can't dare to forget, the small lot of you that have watched me since the start of sharing my artwork on Furaffinity. You guys are what help me keep going, to keep even trying to improve my drawing art skill.

You guys are the most amazing people in the world. While others might not watch me because I don't draw porn (or so they think), or due to my lack of wanting to draw realism, or because I am still learning the ropes of doing anatomy and shading... you guys are here. You guys really don't know what it means to me to have the support that I do have.

So now that I am almost at 200 watchers, and I have almost 5k in page views... what would you guys love to see more of? Though, I can't provide any ink and color works due to the fact I don't have a decent running computer anymore. Though, I still want to try to show you guys that I haven't died.

It was a wonderful con. Fully of pleasant people, kind people, and wonderful conversations. It was small, with the 1,100 people that shown up... you would end up bumping into the same people you saw much earlier in the day. There were fun games to be had, fun times, as well as some bad for me. But, some of that bad was personal so it didn't really matter.

I got to meet  yifferfox in person, and I was honored to be able to meet the artist and find out that he likes my work. I also got to meet Brom. Bob has got to be the most awesome cane I have ever seen.

I met all sorts of wonderful people, some are now on my watch list and I on theirs. There are still a few people I have to add to my contacts, but I loved meeting and talking with you... and hopefully I will get to see you again next year.

I didn't really do much at the con really. I played in the Smash Bros. Tournament, and didn't get past round one though... I did perform very well in comparison to when I played my first tournament ever. I also played in the Apples & Apples tournament. It was my first time ever playing the game, and I actually got into the finals. I couldn't believe it! It was a whole lot of fun and laughs with that game. I didn't even place in the finals, but I found a game that I really love to play. I think that is more than worth it.

And for the first time in years... I danced. I even competed in a dance contest. I didn't get past round one, but it felt good to dance again. Though, my back was killing me after all the dancing I did those two days. Thankfully one of the kind people I met was training to be a massage therapist, and oh god did it hurt... but he really got rid of the back pain. That was just awesome. Thank you again dude, you have my eternal gratitude.

Ah, and another first was that I actually got Tipsy. Saturday night was the dance contest, at first I was not going to enter because I was wearing my boots and didn't want to scratch up the dance floor. I watch the contest cause I like to watch people dance and get ideas. Well, I realized I could have just danced in my socks and I was starting to regret not entering. Fortune I guess smiled on me. As the contest was going on, there was a request for a volunteer to enter the contest because one of the entrants didn't have someone to dance against. So I took off my shoes and said that I would do it. The guy was really nice and really appreciative. To quote him exactly, "You may be a girl, but you got a lot of balls to do that." So, after I lost the first round I called up  portzebie to tell him what I had done. We conversed on the phone for awhile and then I went back to the dance. I found the guy I danced with again and he offered to let me have a shot of Grey Goose. So, we went to his room and I had my first shot of grey goose.

Now, all day I had nothing to eat since my friend wouldn't let me use his car and he was eating only candy all day so he wasn't going to go anywhere to eat food. So, my stomach was empty. So, after two shots of grey goose, the alcohol kicked in within minutes. Thankfully I got back to the video game room and wasn't walking all weirdly in the hotel part of the con. Once I got to the video game room, I was gone. I started feeling a little dizzy, I had to sit and drink some water. My friend found me and told me it was time to go home. Walking down stairs while knowingly being tipsy is not a fun task. My friend kept saying I was drunk on the drive home, especially when I called my boyfriend again while I was not in my fully right mind. I can see the appeal of being tipsy. I can't understand being fully drunk, but being tipsy is quite the experience. But, I would never want to be this way unless I know that someone that I trust is taking me home. Thankfully when my friend saw I was tipsy, he stopped at McDonalds so that I could get food in my system. I am also very thankful that I had my wits about me to not have a third shot, I would have been falling all over myself.

The dealers den and artist alley was not that impressive. There was some really awesome artists, but nothing amazing. Especially in such a small space. Though, this is not a large con... yet. Maybe next year will be even better.

All in all, I had a great time. Maybe I will get to go again next year... and hopefully I will have my own car to get food.
