Posted 10 years agoMy Grandmother passed away earlier today during or after surgury. I cant even go to her funeral probably since she lived in Texas..
Dont really know what to do. I should be crying I feel like it but I havent. Hard to focus on work. I feel worse for my Grandfather alone out there. No contact since he told us.

Snow in the South/Accidents.
Posted 10 years agoCant be a snow day without a flurry of accidents first. Seriously. There were at least 3 wrecks today before there was even sleet. Now my brother tried to take the Jeep out for a friend of his and ended up sliding off (sideways) the driveway into the ditch and got stuck on a tree. Got it out at the cost of the whole front passanger door. Huge dent, broken window and broke the mirror mount. Fun times.

Random thoughts of mechanic work.
Posted 10 years agoI would prefer traveling and finding cars to fix if it werent for the people. Maybe its the South but the cars are almost always filthy with exceptions but those that are clean on the inside dont need interior work and usually has mud stuck to the bottom ("mudding" or the shit roads they never fix) so it usually gets in your eyes.
Also went into a vehicle that if anyone would get arrested if pulled over. The stench of weed was intense or they killed three skunks and tried poorly covering it with cheap perfume. Oh and a kid seat too. That ghetto class is shining bright.
Having long hair is quite a pain in this work, getting caught in stuff or almost getting garbage in it. Leaves a few times.
Everybody wants special deals or try to rip you off. Especially family and friends.
Unless your working for a big company there isnt much money in this work.

Posted 10 years agoSo a few months in I havent really learned much besides tools and which jobs suck the most for a mechanic without the proper tools to make a job easier and enough space.
Gas pumps and ball joints are probably the worst small jobs, And I'm not looking forward to putting in a crankshaft into this big ass diesel truck without a lift and being outside in this damn weather.
Other than that nothing to really report for my personal life as it is dull as shit.
Everyone enjoying the new year? I'm not so far but I'm always grumpy.

I've been waiting almost a month for a car title from a girl I liked but I doubt she'll give me it at this point so I guess I'll be getting a busted truck that I'll be fixing soon anyway.
Looking for a job but nobody has time to take me anywhere being the last hump till the holidays.
I honestly despise holidays call me a grinch or what have you but I've never got to enjoy them or if I did I cant remember it ever happening.
On a side note I should probably stop giving everyone a high standard of expectations I figured people would be better than a few harsh doubts but they've always failed and made those doubts true. Maybe its me but I thought people would be better but they arent, all these recent events in my life and around the world drive it home.
The whole Russia-United States conflict doesn't make much sense to me too, the sanctions, Ukraine, Syria, etc.

Posted 11 years agoSeems alright. Cant save it looks like so I keep having to redo a bunch of shit which is irritating. Maybe I'm missing something?
Gameplay is pretty good even with my broken controller similar mechanics to Farcry 3 and Dishonored but more polished.
Graphics remind me of Fable 3 and/or Dishonored (not sure which came out first Bioshock Infinite or Dishonored)
Story seems flushed out and engaging if nothing else.
Setting is pretty unique for a game I think, not terribly over done.
I think if I was a reviewer I'd give it 8.5 or 9 due to the slight glitchy gameplay and bad autosaves as I have now. To be fair I would give Skyrim a rating of 7.5 so yeah take that how you would.

Also their impeccable timing. Choosing the hottest and most humid days to work outside like moving 300ibs poplar logs or cutting steel.
Almost had a '95 Chevy 1500 truck for $700-ish from my grandfather but he decided to give it my aunt for free and she hasn't had a license in three years.

Wonderful of the things we can accomplish yet terrible in what we choose to do. Polio vaccine and Mustard Gas.
Also came the thought that no matter how well or long you know someone you never truly know them. Off topic a bit though.
I also find that humans are naturally selfish and mean there are exceptions to this and I ain't one as I've took to heart these words "If I wasn't selfish who else would care about me?".
No matter how awful someone is their is always a reason for their actions/words even if you don't understand it.
I'm awful because my experiences. (Almost dying helps)
Others have their reasons even if their shit in your opinion like the whole Ukraine thing. I say the New Ukrainian government is wrong and NATO is a bunch of fucking idiots but not everyone agrees with me probably due to residual anti-USSR stuff or some weird personal reason like the gay rights.
Or my opinion of progressive/liberal mentality which in short I find helpful in some aspects but disastrous in others like immigration or editing books because they were "offensive".

Is it because past actions against the Jews by Christians that they behave this way? Crusades, Spanish Inquisition, Nationalist Germany and so on.
It seems funny they changed their tune rather quick after centuries of killing and subjection of nonbelievers, did the Christians lose their nerve? Became weak? or is it simply because they no longer read their own book?
Thousands of Christians died for those lands and they now readily turn their backs on their own claims to the holy land for a heretics (Deniers of the Messiah Jesus Christ) claim? The New Testament implies that it is the Christians who are the rightful owners of the land (The word didn't exist at the time of writing and are called "disciples of christ" iirc) as all claims on the land is purely religious.
Just a funny thought that Christians have been tricked into supporting people who don't recognize your Messiah.
I have no problems with the people who follow the Hebrew faith but I have every problem with Israel because I am a human fucking being and killing children is beyond evil no matter what they are or believe.

Evolution argument on Homosexuality.
Posted 11 years agoSome believe that humans are more evolved than most creatures and think this is a good reason to get past the homophobia found in humans.
Yet one could also argue the point that humans should be past such base instincts as homosexuality that is found in nature with what could be said as "lesser beasts".
Thoughts?
Personally I think humans (of any sort) should be evolved enough to be above such things of sexual desire. (This is were I agree with Christianity with chasity or at least some restraint) Yet I expect to much from animals as humans are despite any evolution.
