Hello everyone! wow its been a long time since I've been here... I've been pretty anxious about posting anything besides on twitter, but I've started becoming a bit more active and wanted to put out a journal. Recently I've been streaming again and I've started to do charity the past week or so due to recent world events.
we hit our first two goals, so i started a new campaign [ you can check it out here ] unless i linked that wrong, its been a while since i made hyperlinks on FA. 100% of all the funds raised are going to the IFRC, basically the international red cross. They're out there on the field of Ukraine administering relief efforts and I thought it was the next best cause to work on. Using tiltify, none of the money passes through me- it just directly goes into the campaign where it is donated at the end of the duration. The last campaign i did was a Project hope one, it is still running and can be donated to if you prefer until the timer runs out! there are rewards set up for the new campaign, Ukraine Relief, while i have removed further rewards for the previous campaign since I have quite a few I need to finish as is from that one.
You can always just donate to individuals who are fleeing for safety though, too! they really need help and i think its not getting as much attention as general charity.

Anyway, onto the reason i wanted to make this journal and bring up this topic- i have a target that if we reach 500 on the new campaign before the 17th at 9 PM US central standard time i will be creating an OG peanut dragon for the one who donates the most over 50 dollars- but we have to reach that goal first! also, i am designing a new subbreed called velvet wing that i am almost done with that i will be selling for charity during my streams as well. It's coloring is based on the emperor butterfly! i am really in love with this guy, but for charity I'm hoping you guys will pull through and give him a good home in the meantime!

i'm here to show you guys something...happy 5 year anniversary for UT and happy 4 year anniversary to my community. i have a speed paint for you guys i'd like to share to celebrate. Its a bit long but it is 8+ hours of footage condensed and trimmed as much as i could handle pfpfpf its nice to watch while you're going to sleep, or folding laundry, or just you know, relaxing, anything like that. a quick note: i'm looking into getting an assistant to help me complete commissions more easily. that means people who have been waiting a long time will finally start getting quicker results :> i haven't been able to do much because of mental and physical issues, but i plan to at least seek help. on a side note of this, If you're interested in applying to be an assistant [you'll get paid for the work you do,] you can go to this post here and line one of the examples given to see if your linework can pass as similar to mine.

i'm deciding if i want to get a traditional-drawing set up for streaming, it costs a bit to buy everything i need for streaming traditionally [i hope i do not need anything else other than a webcam, a couple cheap lights and a small tripod.] so this is something i may splurge on for my upcoming birthday so i can stream any type of thing i'd like instead of 100% always digital only.

I have plenty of traditional drawing supplies so that'd be no issue, learning how to set up the stream where you can see it super well may be hard but that'll be a learning experience. but if you're up for seeing way more of my traditional art process i will commit to getting a small setup so that you guys can enjoy more content [when i'm art constipated its way easier for me to draw with an actual pencil and paper. i guess its the texture and line of sight? i don't have a tablet with a screen on it after all].

i usually only hold off on drawing traditionally so much because i can't stream, so it'd be a really good thing i think, but i want to make sure you guys would want that! ; w ; it'll at least influence my decision.

Just a heads up, my internet was down for the past 3 days or so and i was unable to get back to anyone regarding anything- its still not totally fixed as i can't even get my discord going. i'll update you if i can, i'll be hopefully continuing as planned but if anything goes down i'll try to visit a coffee shop or something and use the internet that way to check messages and such until things are fixed :<

Okay this usually isn't something i advertise lately since i'm usually better off nowadays but i made a miscalculation with some bills and now we're in a very bad money situation. there's bills coming through before our check comes in and i thought it'd already been taken care of for the month but it hasn't. so now as much as 500, maybe a bit more as i haven't had time to calculate the exact number is needed to dig us out of a bad situation.
i'm going to be trying to go out and grab a loan on Monday but since the weekend JUST hit i can't go do it now, and there's always a risk we won't get approved even if they said if anything happened we should come back since we had wiggle room.
So - what i'm offering. I'm going to be offering sketch pages, single sketches, and a leftover adoptables and ych's will be available and i am also up for designing characters via small prompts/aesthetics, as well as emote/icons and stickers.

So now that I've sort of explained everything i'll get on explaining the available commissions and prices etc.
i'm offering the following:

1) Expression sheets 4-8 expressions, 5 USD per head [unless complicated] you can ask for more or less expressions. for black and white rough coloring + highlights/one accent color that will be +5 for every 2 heads. so as an example, if you got 4 expression heads and added B/W color and accent it'd be 20 + 10 to finish up at 30 USD. my sketch pages/expression pages are super easy and customizable that way. If you think that's not enough, you can always tip me, i'd love that!

2) Small sketch pages which includes 1 knee-up and 2 partials [bust, torso]. this one costs 25$. flat b/w colors are +7 USD for this specific deal.
This is also customizable, and you can request extra busts with expressions as well. extra busts [w/ expressions] are +5 just like before and b/w rough color is +5 for every two heads. if you want an extra torso or knee up, colors cost +6.50 for every two.

3) Full-sized sketch pages. [5-6 sketches, you can request specific expressions]. This will include one full body, with 4-5 partials [2-3 Knee or waist up sketches, 2-3 busts] luckily i even have an example of one here! and its actually from this year, so recent example.

4) Eggless egg adoptables basically- give me some aesthetic ideas you'd like or i'll offer some ideas [we can bounce ideas a bit if you'd like] and i'll design you a character! This one i'm not sure how much i want to charge? i think i'll go with 40 $ as the flat and if any complicated stuff comes into the picture the price can rise or drop. This will only include one full-front picture with flat colors but if there's anything designed on the back i'll add a back-view only showing the area where its located [aka floating torso style] to make it quick and cheaper for those requesting this option. it won't be lined but it practically will be, i'll be doing a very clean sketch or paintish-style. There is one of these available now in my example folder i'll be including at the end of this journal.

5) Single-character sketches!
8$ - Bust with expression of choice, somewhat cleaned and detailed. flat colors are 6$ [this includes highlights and glow if needed]. [Total: 8 USD or 14 USD if colored].
12$ - Torso/waist up with expression of choice, somewhat cleaned and detailed. Flat colors are 10$ [this includes highlights and glow if needed]. [Total: 12 USD or 22 USD if colored].
16$ - Knees/ankles up with expression of choice, somewhat cleaned and detailed. Flat colors are 14$ [this includes highlights and glow if needed]. [Total: 16 USD or 30 USD if colored].
20$ - Full body with expression of choice, somewhat cleaned and detailed. Flat colors are 18$ [this includes highlights and glow if needed]. [Total: 20 USD or 38 USD if colored]. Tips welcome!

6) Icons/Emotes [Non-pixel]. These are fully lined/colored close ups of a character of your choice [without shading, but including any special effects like smoke, minor glow, colored line art, magic particles, etc.] the price on these is simple- 25$ per. Examples are also in the last link provided.

7) Stickers [bust/heads or peanut style chibi, aka very chunky non-detailed bodies so they're more visible as stickers]. heads are 25, partials are 30 and fulls are 35. super detailed characters or characters with non-removable complex [like lots of wing markings or a super odd shape] wings are a no-go for this option, sorry;;

Bonus category: leftover YCH's and adoptables that have not been claimed. they're in the link i included at the bottom as well. [There's even a peanut Dragon in there!] You can offer up USD to claim these, and haggle the prices on these if need be.

I know it takes me some time to complete commissions, its why i don't charge more and why i don't usually accept too many new ones, but recently with the situation of course i'm in a corner and i really need to make some money. I was planning on getting a job once my medicine was sorted and commissions were getting routinely completed, but of course something had to come spoil my progress;;; So thats why we're here.

I'd appreciate it if you could buy a comm/adopt/ych or spread the word for me as i don't have much time. i'm thinking about offering some ych or comm stuff for pride month :Vc just a few slots cuz i have a lot of work i need to do already, but i'm inspired to do some pride month stuff and so it'll have a deadline of the end of June at the least
i don't have a terrible lot of ideas but here's some rough stuff [you can also suggest if there's something in particular you'd like that i haven't thought of]

1) Floating head with chosen flag behind or a certain shape, like if you like a flower or a circle or even a triangle, etc. Expression can be of your choice but recommended would be Triumph/Happiness/Strong/Shy whatever you think suits this image of you with your chosen colors.

2) Torso with a variable pose, scratching skin open to reveal the color underneath the skin.

3) Bust with colors dripping down onto the face, variable expression.

4) Bust with heart [or soul] in the colors of your pride.

That's a few ideas! maybe i'll do one of each so they'll be unique? Let me know if you guys would be interested in seeing that!

Hi guys! I've been working on some Peanut Dragons while doing my other busy work, so far only two since that's the only ideas I've had for new ones right now, though i do have one more peanut dragon that's already spoken for i'll share sometime nicknamed 'bramble'. I'd love some ideas for a nickname for "liquid metal" themed peanut dragons as well if you guys have any ideas i haven't been able to think of anything catchy ; w ; ! any ideas at all are welcome. So the two peanuts i'm working on are a dark-skinned gold beauty and a blueberry fruit tongue. i'm putting more work into the gold one so even though i started it first i think the blueberry will be the first one i release. i'll be coloring the blueberry properly probably tomorrow after I've gotten some more clean up on it [tho i'm not sure how much more cleanup, pretty good as is] but anyway yeah! i thought you guys would like to know that more were coming out and to see what they were. i'll be trying to think up more ideas for other peanut dragons in the future and otherwise working on trying to round up more commissions.

Okay i think its time for me to put down a quick update here, cuz i realize even though in my streaming statuses I've mentioned whats been happening, i haven't actually left a status there that i don't delete after [i delete stream statuses so people don't click and still think i'm going].
I've got a computer, its stream-able and its working alright i haven't gotten any huge issues yet and i'm making sure to take care of it well.
On another note, i'm starting to feel a swell of good energy lately and its helping me get motivated to take care of myself and try to dedicate time to things again. I'm not exactly doing good with a perfect schedule yet so its all kinda messy, but i'm working on my diet, trying to walk every day, i'm thinking about applying for a job again and trying to get back into regular streaming. Now on work days i assume that's going to not happen but the most likely days i'll be available to stream are going to be on the weekends or days i don't work. so it won't be regular like each day wise but it should be once a week or more, it really depends on how much i get scheduled in.
i will be dedicating more time to commissions soon too, because i have a list i need to complete and i want people who've been asking to be able to actually get some commissions too! so all in all i'm having a good streak and i hope it continues, i'm going to do my best to stay motivated!

Hey guys! i know i don't make many journals and i'm still not very active but there's a user here i'd like to introduce you to.
Leaphy. Now you know how hard it can be to get commissions, but they seem to be having a lot of issues that i haven't been getting, i'm not sure if its because their followers from other sites have come onto FA etc etc but they keep getting commission requests that end up being non-serious. That's right, people are backing out of commissions left and right and they're feeling very bummed about it.
Now this is an amazing artist you guys! I don't know why people are doing this. You can find their prices here.
Their full body colored drawings are cheaper than my pricer adopts- yet people are backing out so much, it doesn't make much sense. So i thought i'd post a journal to let you guys know about her. She's sweet, hardworking as far as i can tell and i don't know i just want to see her succeed, and if you commission her you get amazing art. I don't see a downside in that. She has a tumblr i believe but since i dont associate with that anymore bc mine was removed from the system i can give you her other contact, twitter! In other news bc i know people have been like where you been etc:
yes, i'm still setting up the new laptop but i'm trying really hard to get it in usable condition and it has been doing great so far. The speed has been really great but i'm a bit worried about my tablet's compatibility so i may have to get a new one? I'm not sure, mine's just so old i dont think the usb stuff works right with newer computers- so like i'm getting weird loading problems with PS and mischief, but it works completely fine with sai and clip studio.
I'm having a little issue with like my crusor jumping around a bit in a certain place when i use sai but its just sai that does that- they're pretty weird issues but i think it stems from my tablet and not nessecarily the laptop, because its been working so well otherwise and i'm thinking if i can afford to i'll get it a bit more ram. [It has 8 atm, while my last one was 12 that i returned and the one before that i was using had 6 gb]. i'd like mine to have 12/16 gb if i could cuz i stream and all that, so it'd be ideal to have plenty of wiggle room for doing that, yea? but anyway...yeah, thats the status rn if you need to check up on your commissions i have my Trello here as always i'll be trying to update it a bit more soon- i'm sorry its taking me so long but i think i might finally be getting some time to sit down and properly work on them. i should really reupload that adopt too with a different price thats more affordable as well i'm sorry i keep delaying these things;; if you have any questions feel free to note me at any time!

With the basic info out of the way i'll explain how i'm doing [basically an update]
Lucien's health is much better! The only thing that's changed is now he has to use a bathroom chair since he can't stand for too long. He's not gotten sick since he's recovered from the flu so far- i'm cautiously optimistic.
I've been having a lot of up and down health personally and been on a lot of different medications and some extremely emotional issues this year, so thats more reason that i had extended my "short" hiatus.
However, i kept pushing the date back for a good reason to this point, i and lucien worked together with his bank and we have actually been finally approved for a loan [with a muuuuch lower interest rate than his cards] to pay off all his credit cards- so now all we have to do is be frugal with food [which i've been stocking sale food for months, so it'll be easier to build up some money!]
so things are really starting to look up and i'm working on just some final details like closing all the cards [lucien wanted to keep one for emergencies, but i managed to convince him to close it and we'll get a new one with a more trusted company hopefully with a lower limit and lower interest rate, but we don't plan on using the card at all unless we have to!] so basically we're doing pretty good!
I still have to watch the dogs/puppies sometimes but its generally on the weekend [not good for streaming, but ehhhhh *shrugs*] but otherwise i'm starting to be able to relax and feel safe again. So i'll be letting you guys know when i start up streams, and start updating things once i get a sufficient amount of content built up to gradually share! Hi guys! I know i've already been very absent as is, but i felt like it was important to tell you guys that i’ve been having a lot of trouble and find myself having no time for updates or other artwork. They're still going to be completed! Don't worry about that, i will always finish the commissions i've gotten for sure and i'm still interested in my comic.

Lucien [the man i live with, he’s 95 and he’s super sweet and usually very healthy for his age] has caught both strains of flu since the day after christmas, and he recently went in again. He also fell while he was in the recovery place [skilled nursing facility, basically where he goes just for therapy after] just tonight [27th]. I also got the first strain of flu after christmas, i luckily haven't gotten the other one but i'm not putting it past my luck to get it too.

So this leaves me in charge of the household on top of the stuff i normally deal with. [Still trying to get lucien’s brakes fixed, too...cuz i drive his car usually.] And i also had been taking care of a puppy during the day as well [not constantly, but 1-5 times a day depending on when my roommate is home].

So...I am taking a mental health break. a small hiatus. i 100% am still working on this comic in the future. I just really need a health break! I will post the update i had prep’d ahead of time but it might take me a few days to post it, and i will update once i am officially back up and running. I’m sorry about this ; v ; I hope you guys understand.

Lucien and i got sick with the flu, Lucien had to be hospitalized for a month, my roommate [not momo, the other one] suddenly decided she was leaving without warning and left me to clean up after her and get rid of her junk, taking care of bills and taxes for lucien [which is a lot harder than it sounds when you can't get a notery to go to the hospital], and i've also been puppysitting for my friend who lives upstairs now. Not to mention some health problems i'm having now ; v ;...

So...Things have been super busy and stressful, i haven't really had time to do anything and thats why i haven't posted anything here.

I heard the “live” debate was actually pre-recorded and they had already did their votes, too. well…i guess this is a formal notice that i may be missing at some point. I hope not, but if i dont reply back as fast as i normally would or i just don't, it might be because of this.
