Posted 11 years agoWith my current residence being sold, I'm off to take up a room at a friend's apartment for the next year before we find a house together. Coinciding with this, I may be moving to weasyl. Enough artists I care about are moving and it honestly looks just like FA but actually updated and well run. I'll make a post once I've moved and anyone that wants to find me over there can do so. I'll probably have a different screen name.

Early Spring Cleaning
Posted 12 years agoBeen cleaning up this account; moving old-ass stuff to scraps, updating my profile for the first time in four years, etc.
I still draw furry stuff from time to time and I'd like my gallery to reflect that.
I usually psych myself out but whatever, ashita ga aru sa.
Also, I hate journals. I never get around to updating them so before the end of the month I'm gonna change it to a filler so I never have to deal with it.

Parkour Beaverton
Posted 15 years agoRevolution Parkour has officially been open for the past week or so and they held an open house on Friday. It's a small, but no less awesome, parkour gym offering classes and has open gym on Fridays. I'm looking forward to trying it out.
In related news: I have planted a sort of cache/checkpoint on the top of Hiteon Elementary School for anyone looking for a late night climb. It is stashed strategically atop the eastern roof access structure (wing of the building opposite the fire station) in a small jar in a plastic bag. I'm thinking of planning a beaverton-wide urban/suburban exploration and climbing challenge where one cache leads to the next. I am also considering more advanced concealment of the Hiteon cache involving some supplies from the hardware store. The jar contains a paper for signing, a pencil, and a flier for RVPK. I may append the contents with other things later and will post updates in my journal. :3 Have fun out there!

Posted 16 years agoYeah just got back from Rainfurrest yesterday. It was pretty rockin and I took first in the DDR competition which actually won me some pretty rad and ridiculous prizes! X3 That aside, it really could have been run much better. I was disappointed in a lot of the choices made by the judge and I really feel like it didn't offer all the competitors a fair chance.
That and WTF DDRX D:<
But I had fun and got to listen to 2 and meet a ton of new and old friends alike and draw for the first time in quite a while and just live it up for the weekend. :3

Posted 17 years agoMy Writing 121 class is all about political awareness and being philosophically inclined I have been ambushed by a barrage of conflicts. Here's a random train of thought I typed as I was thinking. I figured it might be interesting to read. Feel free to leave comments about your thoughts on this.
Truth in human societies is found only in observable facts. Outside of what one can observe what can one believe? What can one trust? Media are controlled by people with personal motives that can be entirely unobservable. Any possible truth not strictly eliminated by an observable fact is possible. It is human nature to play upon the trust of others. It is human nature to lie. It is human nature to extend, distort, deny, cover up, and denounce the unobservable truth. One can observe for themselves how people behave from day one; how children lie to escape punishment, get what they want, and gain respect from, and power over, their peers. Just as other creatures of the animal kingdom play-fight to learn necessary skills for hunting, humans learn to sharpen their skills of deception against eachother. Human kind evolved to have a higher brain capacity not only so that they could outsmart other animals but so they could outsmart other humans. It is observable that many Americans think, living in the richest country in the world, and even after getting a college degree, that they can see through the lies of the rich and powerful. Such people are the greatest fools of this day and age.
Power and wealth will corrupt all those who do not realize the absolute truth in helping eachother. Sympathy, empathy, hospitality, morals. Live with the Conviction of one who carries the weight of the human race, not with the sloth and misery of one who pushes that burden onto the backs of others.
Truth in human societies is found only in observable facts. Outside of what one can observe what can one believe? What can one trust? Media are controlled by people with personal motives that can be entirely unobservable. Any possible truth not strictly eliminated by an observable fact is possible. It is human nature to play upon the trust of others. It is human nature to lie. It is human nature to extend, distort, deny, cover up, and denounce the unobservable truth. Posted 17 years agoAs soon as I get settled into my classes that is. It seems that the few days between the 14 and 18th were the perfect time to be dragged around by friends (though we did play an epic game of D&D:The Awakened Badgers) and without fail, on the 18th I was presented with the uncommon opportunity to ride with Mykie down to Grants Pass and try out spray painting as an art form out in the woods (which was totally a blast). And now without fail, I am horribly ill (which is saying something 'cause normally I never get sick). Oh and school started (afternoon classes WOOH!). Soooooooooooooo long story short, those damn commissions wont be started for probably another week. XP
