My Absence was Due to Medical Stuff

So early on in March, my boyfriend developed a medical issue (that I'm not sure he wants disclosed here). It's fairly serious, but is curable, so we've been working through the process of getting everything set up so it's fixed. I've been pretty overwhelmed by the situation and haven't drawn much of anything, nor paid any mind to my regular social circles. I'm pretty sorry about that, and I miss all you guys.
Anyway, we're doing well. There are a couple more steps to this, depending on what routes we choose to go, but in the meantime, I'm back. Pretty much.

My hair is upsetting to me
Posted 10 years agoI want to pull all of it OUT because there are a COUPLE.
So my hair is very smooth. It's wavy. pretty much straight, not curly at all. But I will find them, these scraggly, overly-curled hairs that are like PUBES, and I HAVE to pull them OUT. It's worse when I'm anxious and even if I manage to pull out 7 in a row it is no progress because there is so much hair on my head and the potential for basically-infinite scraggles, which I can't even see because it's my own head. And they're short.
I want so badly to just start pulling, one by one. All of them, and I'd eliminate the scraggles. but it would hurt so much and I'm far too lazy to pull them all out. It would be much easier if it were my eyebrows.
If all of my hair were like this, I wouldn't need to pull out any. It's just the fact that they're needles in a haystack.
I get the same iiiitchy feeling when I get ingrown hairs in my legs that don't grow, and I can squeeze them out because they're so short and the roots are loose.

Posted 10 years agoALL RIGHT. SO I'm putting my commission sheet together in preparation of opening for digital commissions and posting an ad on FA. I only have one example of an animated icon! I want another.
I'm estimating that my animated icons will start around $20 for all-original animation (not a macro all-the-same type deal) so VOLUNTEER to trade $20 of your art with meee! I would prefer if you had a commission sheet just so I can see that you had determined the value of your art prior to our trade.
I may or may not be picky (sorry, I'm looking for something fully rendered if possible) depending on how many responses I get, but I'm posting this to all of my sites and will decide uhhhh tomorrow I guess.
I will also prefer that you complete your half, first! I've had people skip out on me, before, and I don't want that to be the case just because I need an example.
If you trade me, you'll have to pick the character you want animated, and give me suggestions on what to animate them doing. I'm looking to do about 3 keyframes (if you don't know what these are it's like main poses, not including transitions to the poses). Anything more, and the price will go up.

Hiding Non-User Ads (And How I Learned to Love the Petition)

This can help you out if you want to hide Google and NSFW ads but NOT the ads bought by FA users! Hopefully of which will be me (only when all of this blows over, of course)! Adblock is a thing I would really recommend regardless of FA's fucklebuster, it makes navigating YouTube a breeze.
I linked this instead of the original journal because there's one tiny detail changed that is what made it work, so these instructions may be more useful to other people who use Opera.
Secondly -
While I believe petitions that are not started or agreed upon beforehand BY the people who have caused an issue are harder to make effective, there IS a petition going around now to remove the adult ads from FA, which can't really hurt to sign! Posted 10 years agoI wholly disagree with the adult ads, it's a huge mistake, but I'm not leaving because people are here. I like the old web 1.0 layout. Call me a sellout. BUT I HAVE A QUESTION:
Do you guys think it's reasonable to offer runner-ups the option of either (A) a ENTIRELY free icon, the cost of which is normally $5, or (B) a charm in the shape of their sona's paw or tail (which would still be $5 for shipping)?
If winner or runner-ups don't want/cant afford, I will generate another winner and bump up the other winners to whatever spot was dropped.

Every person who commented on the last journal will already have a spot in the raffle, so you won't need to post again. What's your favourite kind of juice? I'll keep this one open longer (until Wednesday night!), so more people have a chance.

This is not first-come, first-serve, as I said. Sorry. :c I'm in a picky mood. Also your character MAY be drawn in a NSFW situation and/or with my own characters, so if you're not down with that, please SAY SO, and you'll still have a chance.
You can drop as many refs as you like and feel free to send your friends over, too. This will probably end up as a "drawing bank," for when I feel like drawing other people's characters.

Posted 13 years agoPlease give me lists a'plenty. Got a huge new batch of adopts in a different style than last time on the way and wanna come up with over 9000 linearts for them.
