3 spots open BLFC Crash Space Available Grand Sierra Resort
General | Posted 7 years agoPlease read through this.
I currently needing 3 roomies for BLFC. My room at BLFC is at the Grand Sierra Resort (Main Hotel) and is a 2 Queen Bed Room booked for Wednesday Night and I check out Monday. I will be bringing extra surge strips to the room to allow you guys to be able to charge up your phones, charge up your portable gaming systems, run laptops, ETC. The roomshare rates are about 1/4 of the total room cost for all nights which are $285.33 (57.07 per night) Per Person for 5 nights for the Grand Sierra Resort for BLFC. If your interested be sure to read the few simple rules.
Here are a few rules I go by.
* Please abide by the 6-2-1 rule as best as you can (if your on staff like me it's understandable to not get the 6 part in) and the number 1 part of the rule which is a daily shower or bath is mandatory.
* Please don't leave trash around my room, put em in the cans. I will try my best to keep my trash picked up, I hope you guys follow.
* This is a no Yiffing Room. I don't want to walk in or even hear about such things happening in my room. (It's ok to show some artwork and stuff especially if your a dealer and got commissioned for one.)
* Please respect others privacy. If you are needing a private moment please make sure your fellow roomies know that you want some privacy.
* Please respect others property and don't take up all the space.
* Don't touch the incidentals (the candy, food, drinks they keep in the room) at the Grand Sierra Resort unless you are gonna pay for them.
* I like the room fairly dark and quiet at night so that means I will not have or allow the TV on all night and the lights kept to a minimum to where no one will be tripping over any roomies that happen to be sleeping on the floor instead of the bed. The quiet hours of the room may very but expect it to be around 2AM (I may be out Bowling) to about 8AM. If it's late try to be as quiet as you can when arriving late, I tend to leave the bathroom light on for people arriving late or for when someone have to get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom and be able to see their way there.
* Please be committed to wanting the room space, I don't really want to be taking anyone who is not completely sure of going to the cons and deciding with less than a week to go not to come.
* No Illegal Drugs, this includes synthetics.
* No Alcohol to minors under 21.
* The Rooms are non smoking. If you need to smoke take it out to the designated smoking areas.
* Any parties or meetups in the room must be approved by me and the other roomies. If approved the parties or meetups must abide by the room rules above.
* If there's any issues about the room or a roomie including myself please let me know right away. If the issue is with a roomie try to get it resolved with them first before coming to me for help.
* I will be checking out of the room by 11am Monday. I gotta catch an early afternoon train heading back home so I can't do late check out.
*Also please be back in the room and packed up before check out. If you plan on partying late on Sunday Night please get your stuff packed up the night before or ready to be packed quickly. I had a roomie one year that didn't make it back to my room after a Sunday night party and didn't show up to get their stuff by check out time.
That is about all the rules they're just pretty much standard.

Edit: Room Found
General | Posted 8 years agoEdit: Found crash space in a less crowded room. Hopefully this one doesn't fall through.
Since my crash space spot appears to have fell through for TFF, I am in desperate need of crash space for TFF 2018 for Thursday-Monday at the Hyatt I already have everything else setup but I am currently roomless due to an issue. Due to a recent Surgery I require bed space. I plan on getting in Thursday Morning and leaving Monday evening (I plan on being out of the room long before 11am Monday) I am also needing the room not to be overloaded especially with 7 people in there.
I am a quiet sleeper and tend to be in bed sometime between 12-2 AM or earlier if there's not much going on, but I plan on playing Werewolf and I am usally too tired to play by 2am. (I have been lynched because I feel asleep during the day phase once) So I am looking for a quiet room. I am a Fursuiter and I will have Victor Redtail at the con. Because I suit and virtually wear it all day, I have to take my showers along with following the 6-2-1 rule.
A picture of my suit can be seen at http://www.furaffinity.net/view/21725934/
I hope to find a nice spot. Thank You!
Please contact me at sawblade05[at]gmail.com or drop me a Telegram message sawblade5
Also if you guys can signal boost this it will be nice.

TFF Crash Space Needed
General | Posted 8 years agoCrossposted from Conroomies https://www.conroomies.com/rooms/tf.....018/needed/393
So far I have not had much luck and my posting been up for months.
I am needing crash space for TFF 2018. I am very certain I will be attending as I already booked my flight. I don't want to miss this con.
Preferred Hotel: Hyatt Regency Dallas
Preferred Check-In: Thursday, February 8
Preferred Check-Out: Monday, February 12
Spaces Needed: 1
Since I am flying in I can't sleep on the Floor as I won't have my sleeping bag and it hurts my back to sleep directly on the floor with no bedding such as a sleeping bag or air mattress.

3 Spots Available at AC 4 the DoubleTree(Weds-Tues) or Less
General | Posted 8 years agoI had people back out last minute on me. I have 3 spots available.
Ok, here it is I have crash space available for AC. My room is at the Doubletree. It is a Double room (2 beds). The room is booked for Wednesday June 28th-Tues July 4th, 2017. I will be bringing extra surge strips to the room to allow you guys to be able to charge up your phones, charge up your portable gaming systems, run laptops, ETC. (It wont hurt to bring yours also, the more the better.) The roomshare rates are about 1/4 of the total room cost for all nights which are approximately $233 Per Person for 6 nights or $155 for the 4 main nights so roughly $38.75 per person per night. I am willing to have a lower cost for less nights as I don't expect everyone to be in there all nights. If your interested be sure to read the few simple rules.
Here are a few rules I go by.
* Please abide by the 6-2-1 rule as best as you can and the number 1 part of the rule which is a daily shower or bath is mandatory.
* Please don't leave trash around my room, put em in the cans. I will try my best to keep my trash picked up, I hope you guys follow.

* Please respect others privacy. If you are needing a private moment please make sure your fellow roomies know that you want some privacy.
* Please respect others property and don't take up all the space.

If it's late try to be as quiet as you can when arriving late, I tend to leave the bathroom light on for people arriving late or for when someone have to get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom and be able to see their way there. This also includes your phone. I don't want to hear notification tones all night. (I will turn your phone off so I can sleep) It's OK to set an alarm but be ready to turn it right off and not snooze it.
* Please be committed to wanting the room space, I don't really want to be taking anyone who is not completely sure of going to the cons and deciding with less than a week to go not to come.
* No Illegal Drugs, this includes synthetics.
* No Alcohol to minors under 21.

*Also please be back in the room and packed up before check out. If you plan on parting late on Monday Night please get your stuff packed up the night before or ready to be packed quickly. I am checking out by 10AM Tuesday July 4th so I can make my flight back. I had a roomie one year that didn't make it back to my room after a Sunday night party by the time check out was done.
That is about all the rules they're just pretty much standard.

FC Crash Space Needed
General | Posted 9 years agoI am needing crash space for FC (Further Confusion).
I am gonna be heading to FC on the Tuesday before the Convention but I don't plan on arriving to the con site until Wednesday night or Thursday as I plan on spending the first 2 days of my trip North of the Bay Area in Bodega Bay, CA (The set of the Birds movie so I gotta visit in suit) and Ukiah, CA (To visit Mendocino Brewing Co and hopefully get some suit pictures there and at least get some Red-tailed Hawk goodies as their brewery mascot is the Red-Tailed Hawk.) You are welcome to come along with me and I will provide food and lodging if you do and can take photos of me at these sites and be my spotter those 2 days.
For FC I need crash space for Wednesday or Thursday - Tuesday. I am needing to be at a very closeby or main hotel for FC within short walking distance. I am needing bed space for FC as I can't fly my sleeping bag there. Also on thing is a must for me since I am suiting, I gotta have a keycard to get into the room.
I am a quiet sleeper and tend to be in bed sometime between 12-1 AM or earlier if there's not much going on. So I am looking for a quiet room. I am a Fursuiter and I will have Victor Redtail at the con and possibly my Eagle Suit there too. Because I suit, I have to take my showers along with following the 6-2-1 rule.
So let me know if you got a spot for me at either FC by emailing me at sawblade05/at\gmail.com
So in closing my requests are
Before FC: I need a spotter I will provide food and lodging for my trip up north of the Bay Area.
FC: I need a room at main hotel or one of the con hotels within walking distance for Wed or Thurs -Tues. Since I can't take my sleeping bag there I need bed space of some sort.
I hope you guys can help. I want to attend FC.

All Right I got a few furry conventions coming up and I got rooms booked at both furry conventions. They are MFF in Rosemont, IL in December and I am needing crash space at Further Confusion. So I currently needing 1 roomie for MFF. My room at MFF is at the Hyatt and is a 2 Queen Bed Room book for Thursday Night and I check out Monday. I will be bringing extra surge strips to the room to allow you guys to be able to charge up your phones, charge up your portable gaming systems, run laptops, ETC. The roomshare rates are about 1/4 of the total room cost for all nights which are $153.90 Per Person for 4 nights for the Hyatt for MFF.
* Don't touch the incidentals (the candy, food, drinks they keep in the room) at the Hyatt unless you are gonna pay for them.
* I like the room fairly dark and quiet at night so that means I will not have or allow the TV on all night and the lights kept to a minimum to where no one will be tripping over any roomies that happen to be sleeping on the floor instead of the bed. The quiet hours of the room may very but expect it to be around 1AM to about 8AM.
*Also please be back in the room and packed up before check out. If you plan on parting late on Sunday Night please get your stuff packed up the night before or ready to be packed quickly. I had a roomie one year that didn't make it back to my room after a Sunday night party by the time check out was done.
That is about all the rules they're just pretty much standard.
If interested you can contact me via email here at sawblade05[at]gmail.com or note me on FA at http://www.furaffinity.net/user/sawblade5/
Also on a side note I am needing crash space for FC. I plan on being down there for a week from Tues-Tues and I need a room at the Conspace area (within Walking Distance and I loved the Hilton a lot when I went the last time) either Thursday-Tuesday or Wednesday-Tuesday. I plan on spending the first 2 days of my trip North of the Bay Area in Bodega Bay, CA (The set of the Birds movie so I gotta visit in suit) and Ukiah, CA (To visit Mendocino Brewing Co and hopefully get some suit pictures there and at least get some Red-tailed Hawk goodies as their brewery mascot is the Red-Tailed Hawk.)
So let me know if you got something or needing a spot in my room at MFF.

I am depressed about missing out on the #Burdcrew Stickers
General | Posted 9 years agoI have been wanting my own Telegram stickers of my own character since I got on Telegram. Last month I had an opportunity to get one but the problem was by the time I got my stuff together to place the comission, it was full and the wait list was already 15 deep. It made me sad. Now the only artist I know that does these appears to be doing only certain animals each month and it doesn't look like they will be doimg birds anytime soon. This has me very depressed as I see all my friends have a sticker set and I feel I am SOL about ever getting my own. I don't know of any other artists that does Telegram sticker sets at all so I need help on getting my own.
Orlando Night Club Shooting
General | Posted 9 years agoI am posting this in concern of our fur friends in Orlando. There was a mass shooting at a Orlando area Gay nightclub with 52 injuries and 50 confirmed dead so far. When I first heard about this my very first thought was wondering if any of my furry firends are among the victims down there. Orlando has a very large furry group and many of them I know or have met on my trips to Orlando. So I am very worried that we have lost some of our own in this mass shooting.
Has anyone heard if any of our own are among the victims?
If you are a Florida Fur or are visiting and on Facebook please let your friends know you are safe here https://www.facebook.com/safetychec.....35646933488907

I Would Love to do More Fursuit Non Profit/Charity Events
General | Posted 9 years agoAs many of you know I am passionate about Fursuiting and performing as Victor Redtail. You almost never see me out of suit at Conventions. I love performing as my Hawk Character a lot.
Now here's the deal. How do I do more in the community with my fursuit? I have seen groups able to entertain children and adults at hospitals. I seen suits in big parades. I even want to be a mascot character at events. (even if it's not me being Victor) So is there any tips to be more involved with the community with my Fursuit? I have done a couple of events like this and it's is very fun and very rewarding to make people happy at these places and events.
So far I have done a couple of events in a Suit.
1. I got to go entertain the Airmen and their families at Whiteman Air Force Base last September with my Isaiah Eagle Suit. It was a very huge honor for me to do this and it was as much a treat for me as it was for everyone there.
2. I got to volunteer to be a costume character at the Tree Lighting Ceremony last November in my hometown of Kansas City, KS. I dressed up in a nice looking bear costume and had a fun time there also.
I would love to do many more events like this as I love performing in costume. I got into this fandom because I wanted to be a fursuiter and now I have been one for the past 6 years and it never gets old. So in closing I hope you guys can provide me some tips on being able to get more involved in the community in this way?
Thank you

The Secret Life of Pets Moviehas a Red-tailed Hawk Character
General | Posted 10 years agoI am now wanting to see The Secret Life of Pets Movie. One of the main characters is Tiberius a Red-tailed Hawk. The way Illumination has him animated, makes a normally fearsome bird, very cute. I kinda want a badge my character done in that style now! I love some of the scenes in the trailer showing him flying with a Chloe the cat on his back. So come July I want to see this movie now, and now that I know it has the Hawk character in it I want to see it even worse now! I love how Hollywood is starting to show some love to the Red-tailed Hawks instead of making us hawks voice actors for Bald Eagles, Falcons, and such! Anyway you can see the new trailer here; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZJVc_JTI_w
Spot Found AC Crash Space needed Wednesday June 29 -Monday
General | Posted 10 years agoAbout Myself
I am a Avid Fursuiter so I will be spending most of my time at the Con in Suit. I will head to the drug store to get a can of Lysol to keep my Fursuit smelling nice (Unless you can bring some for me to use) I also take showers which is a must for me after a day of suiting in the Pittsburgh heat and humidity.
I am a quiet sleeper and tend to be in bed sometime between 12-1 AM or earlier if there's not much going on. So I am looking for a quiet room. I am a Fursuiter and I will have Victor Redtail at both cons. Because I suit, I have to take my showers along with following the 6-2-1 rule.
So let me know if you got a spot for me at AC by emailing me at sawblade05/at\gmail.com
So in closing my requests are
Wednesday-Monday (Subject to change but I am more than willing to spend for the Wednesday-Monday spot if I don't make it there until Friday)
One of the 4 closet Hotels 1. Courtyard 2. Westin 3. Omni Willam Penn 4. Hampton and it needs to be on a Bed Space of some sort in a Double room.
I hope to find some crash space.

FA Is Now Using Full Artist Banner Ads Now! :>
General | Posted 10 years agoA suggestion (actually more like a demand) I made to Dragoneer at AC is that you need to start selling some of those big banner spaces to Artists here over 3rd party ads. Well He's is now doing that and I am starting to see some artist ads on the big banners and they look great.
If you have not been seeing any with Ad Block Plus then you may have the wrong element filters set. My AB+ is Enabled here on FA to block ads but I added the following 2 filter lines to allow the artist ads:
@@||furaffinity.net^$elemhide
@@||rv.furaffinity.net/www/delivery/*
Those 2 lines work for me and I get to see all 3 sizes of the awesome artist ads here and no Malware Banner Ads or links. The 1st line allows all element boxes of the ads to show even if there's no ad there as a result of a 3rd party ad and the 2nd line is the source of the first party FA Artist Ads.

Hi, I am Victor Redtail....
General | Posted 10 years agoand I am a Fursuitaholic!
It seems like when I put my Victor Redtail Fursuit on. I just don't want to ever take it off. I seem to enjoy being a Red-tailed Hawk for much of Conventions. I seem to be hopelessly addicted to it and I don't think there's a cure for it. Not that I want to anyway. Being a burd is so much fun! :>

Yea I am back on FA Not going anywhere! 1 AC room spot left
General | Posted 10 years agoYea I am still here. FA will and always continue to be my main site. It's because the traffic is here. IF something bad happens to FA that causes the traffic to go away then I will be where the traffic goes which seems most likely to be Weasyl. But for now, FA is my home. Sorry if I made anyone panic on April Fools day.
On a side note as of right now since I don't like bumping my Journal Posts concerning my Room Opening to AC, I still have one spot left at the Courtyard for Tues-Mon of the event. Details can be found here: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/6583351/

I am Leaving FA (No it's not because of IMVU) Please Read
General | Posted 10 years agoWell I am now seriously considering leaving Furaffinity. No it's not because of the new owners of the site. It's because that there's now a official avian art site to post my submissions to. So I prefer to give that site my priority because of that. FA is a nice site but it's not an Avian art site, it is a Furry art site. For some reason there's a difference between Avian and Furry. So therefore I am leaving for the official Avian Art Site called Weasyl at https://www.weasyl.com/~sawblade5 You can find me there.
1 room Spot Left for AC and Weasyl Mirror Page Notice
General | Posted 10 years agoI just wanted to let you guys know that I do have a Weasyl account and it is my Mirror to my FA Page. If something bad happens to FA which is now I feel is very likely to be soon. I have all my submissions on Weasyl. I highly recommend everyone here do the same thing in case something bad happens and you lose your art in case something bad happens here that causes you to lose access to your art in one way or another. There are tools that actually helps you cross post form here to Weasyl and sync your watchlist here at: https://forums.weasyl.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?7082-March-Madness!&p=78811&viewfull=1#post78811 I highly recommend you make use of these tools. Also you can post your Weasyl Link here so I can watch you there on top of here. BTW my Weasyl page is https://www.weasyl.com/~sawblade5

1 Spot Crash Space Avalable for AC @ Courtyard for Tues-Mon
General | Posted 11 years ago1 Spot available and I give preference to Fursuiters as I am one and love hanging with other suiters and as this is a great Fursuiting Hotel.
Ok, here it is I have crash space available for AC. My room is at the Courtyard by Marriott. It is a Queen Queen room (2 beds). The room is booked for Tues July 7th-Mon July 13th, 2015. I will be bringing extra surge strips to the room to allow you guys to be able to charge up your phones, charge up your portable gaming systems, run laptops, ETC. (It wont hurt to bring yours also, the more the better.) The roomshare rates are about 1/4 of the total room cost for all nights which are approximately $256 Per Person for 6 nights. The courtyard is located within a few steps outside to the DLCC and the Westin. It's is the perfect place for a dealer to stay and is a great place for Fursuiters plus there's no elevator hell there unles you hit it when the dealers room has just closed. (Which results in a short wait) If your interested be sure to read the few simple rules.
Here are a few rules I go by.
* Please abide by the 6-2-1 rule as best as you can and the number 1 part of the rule which is a daily shower or bath is mandatory. (That 6 can be hard to get sometimes but please keep yourself clean as I don't like Confunk and neither does my roomies.)
* Please respect others property.
* Don't touch the incidentals (the candy, food, drinks they keep in the room) at the Coutyard unless you are gonna pay for them. (If they carry any)
* I like the room fairly dark and quiet at night so that means I will not have or allow the TV on all night and the lights kept to a minimum to where noone will be tripping over any roomies that happen to be sleeping on the floor instead of the bed. The quiet hours of the room may very but expect it to be around 2AM to about 9AM.

Crap I was introduced to 5 Nights At Freddy's
General | Posted 11 years agoOver the weekend at F3 Con I was introduced to the game called 5 Nights At Freddy's and I am now addicted to the game. What got my attention on the game is what it is all about. You are working a night security gaurd at the Showbiz Pizza (or Chuck E Cheese for those who didn't grow up with Showbiz Pizza) type of place called Freddy Fazbear's Pizza where the Animatronic Animals come alive to preaty much play around looking for people, but the problem is they think you are a naked Animatronic Skeleton that needs to be dressed up as one of them, so when they catch you they somehow kill you by stuffing you into a Animatronic Animal Suit. (Those Fursuits on those bots just don't fit humans right I guess? But anyway Is it really a bad way to die being stuffed into a Fursuit?)
What really makes me relate to the game is how it brings back memories of Showbiz Pizza when I was just a little kid. Those Animatronic Figures were scary when I was little and I thought maybe they could kill me. So this games brings back that fear I had as a little kid into this game.
I already got a favorite Animatronic Figure from that game and it's Chica the Chicken, while Foxy the Pirate Fox was a real close Second place there. While at is F3 I got me a Chica "Let's Eat" bib for my Fursuit. It is so fitting to my Red-tailed Hawk Fursuit.

I need crash space for CPFC and FC
General | Posted 11 years agoI am needing crash space for Bpth CPFC (Central Plains Furcon) and FC (Further Confusion).
For CPFC I need crash space for Friday-Sunday and FC I need crash space for Wednesday-Tuesday. I am needing to be at the main hotel for CPFC and a very closeby or main for FC. I am needing bed space for FC as I can't fly my sleeping bag there but for CPFC I will be driving there so I can take floor space there. Also on thing is a must for me since I am suiting, I gotta have a keycard to get into the room.
I am a quiet sleeper and yend to be in bed sometime between 12-1 AM or earlier if there's not much going on. So I am looking for a quiet room. I am a Fursuiter and I will have Victor Redtail at both cons. Because I suit, I have to take my showers along with following the 6-2-1 rule.
So let me know if you got a spot for me at either CPFC or FC by emailing me at sawblade05/at\gmail.com
So in closing my requests are
CPFC: I need a room at main hotel Fri-Sun, I could work with bed or floor space there.
FC: I need a room at main hotel or one of the con hotels within walking distance for Wed-Tues. Since I can't take my sleeping bag there I need bed space of some sort.
I hope you guys can help. I want to attend both cons.

If you didn't make it to MFM 2014 or Didn't Notice(new suit)
General | Posted 11 years agoThe big surprise was the debut of my new Victor Redtail bodysuit. I was in need to replace my old bodysuit. So I decided to make another one on my own to get myself started in Fursuit building. Something I wanted to do since before I even joined the fandom.
So the last month and half leading up to MFM 2014 I got the new Bodysuit put together and ready for MFM 2014. I initially starting ordering parts for my new suit months ago and I was hoping to build it for AC but I didn't have the parts yet need to get started. So right after AC I got my parts in and started the long process of building the new bodysuit. I had a goal to have it done by Motaku 2014 but I just couldn't make it as I wanted to so it would be done by the time I started to move to my new house. So what ended up happening was I had to work on it during my move and barley had it con ready for MFM with a few minor details to fix. In the process I got to use my new workshop space in my new house.
Now I did have another bodysuit built a couple years ago by
Hindpaws but I was hoping to debut that with a new head from another artist. But the new head never got finished so that body still sits in the box leaving me wondering what to do with it. I also have an older head done by
Lazywolfcrations that never really worked out with my previous bodysuit done by the same artist. So I and wondering what to do with that also.
Well anyway here are the shots of my new bodysuit taken by
rats-eye-view (which I thank him for) at MFM 2014:

General | Posted 11 years agoWell I can at least tell you it's not an Ice Bucket Challenge and that it's a big project I have been working on since I got home from Anthrocon. You will have to come see what it is!
