Fursuit Tourny Help These Guys Out!
General | Posted 11 years agoFriday Aug 8th is the last day to get into the Fursuit Tourny and right there there's quite a few people that are self noms that really needs sponsors. Please help them out by nominating them. I came upon this image of the Subject of Hawks Screams being dubbed over on other raptors like Eagles as seen here: https://www.weasyl.com/submission/3...../not-copyright (or http://www.furaffinity.net/view/11715406/ if your just using FA) and feel right in love with the artwork there.
The gallery shows how his talent really improved over the course of a year in his artwork style and is looking really great today. As of right now he doesn't even have 100 watchers as of yet showing that he is not well known yet. I am making this journal to help get the word out about his works.

Stolen Fursuit Alert San Jose Area (HollyFox)
General | Posted 12 years agoI am posting this Journal for all Furs that are in the Bay Area especially around San Jose. Yesterday 2/17/2014 
HollyFox had her Fursuit Body in a blue duffel bag in the back of her truck. The truck was broken into and the blue duffel bag with her fursuit body was stolen. The head was kept in a different spot so her Fursuit Head is fine, but she is very very upset about losing the bodysuit and the amount of time it would take to get a new one. I know her feelings are exact to my feelings the way I feel about my Victor Redtail Fursuit and would be devastated to lose it. She loves her suit a lot!
So if anyone that is in the Bay Area be looking out for a Fursuit Body that looks like this: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/12743103/ Check the Thrift Stores, Check Craig's List, Check the Auction Sites for this suit as the bodysuit is stolen with assuming the hands and the feet also.

Full For Now Crash Space for AC @ the Courtyard for Tues-Mon

Ok, here it is I have crash space available for AC. My room is at the Courtyard by Marriott. It is a Queen Queen room (2 beds). The room is booked for Tues July 1st-Mon July 7th, 2014. I will be bringing extra surge strips to the room to allow you guys to be able to charge up your phones, charge up your portable gaming systems, run laptops, ETC. (It wont hurt to bring yours also, the more the better.) The roomshare rates are about 1/4 of the total room cost for all nights which are approximately $252 Per Person for 6 nights. The courtyard is located within a few steps outside to the DLCC and the Westin. It's is the perfect place for a dealer to stay and is a great place for Fursuiters. If your interested be sure to read the few simple rules.
Here are a few rules I go by.
* Please abide by the 6-2-1 rule as best as you can and the number 1 part of the rule which is a daily shower or bath is mandatory.
* Please don't leave trash around my room, put em in the cans. I will try my best to keep my trash picked up, I hope you guys follow.
* This is a no Yiffing Room. I don't want to walk in or even hear about such things happening in my room. (It's ok to show some artwork and stuff especially if your a dealer and got commissioned for one.)
* Please respect others privacy. If you are needing a private moment please make sure your fellow roomies know that you want some privacy.
* Please respect others property.
* Don't touch the incidentals (the candy, food, drinks they keep in the room) at the Coutyard unless you are gonna pay for them. (I have never stayed there so I don't know if they have anything like this I know the Westin had a $4 water bottle in the room in the last few years I was there)
* I like the room fairly dark and quiet at night so that means I will not have or allow the TV on all night and the lights kept to a minimum to where noone will be tripping over any roomies that happen to be sleeping on the floor instead of the bed. The quiet hours of the room may very but expect it to be around 2AM to about 9AM.
* Please be committed to wanting the room space, I don't really want to be taking anyone who is not completely sure of going to the cons and deciding with less than a week to go not to come.
* No Illegal Drugs, this includes synthetics.
* No Alcohol to minors under 21.
* The Rooms are non smoking. If you need to smoke take it out to the designated smoking areas.
* Any parties or meetups in the room must be approved by me and the other roomies. If approved the parties or meetups must abide by the room rules above.
* If there's any issues about the room or a roomie including myself please let me know right away. If the issue is with a roomie try to get it resolved with them first before coming to me for help.
That is about all the rules they're just pretty much standard.

General | Posted 12 years agoAfter seeing the slew of journals on this subject. I may remind everyone who is following me that I have a Weasyl account at https://www.weasyl.com/~sawblade5 even though I am not very active there. I decided due to this slew it's a great time to update followers there. Even though I am not active there, the Private Message system will email me directly when you send me one so I can respond faster to those messages there than I can here on FA. So it's a better place to contact me at.
As for the situation. I looked into it and the part that upsets me the most is that another new UI that was shown off last month right before FA went down is dead when it was almost completed and this new one is starting from scratch and is pretty much only in it's alpha stages. So it will be a very long time before we see Phoenix get pushed if it even does at all. Who knows if we get to see that new UI or not. It depends on if everyone can get past the drama that has been hitting the site for the last couple of days.
Also for GFM Crash Space. I seem to have found a spot, unless I get 3 people looking for a room for Fri-Sun Also.

I just confirmed my trip down but I am needing crash space at preferably the main hotel Thurs-Mon or a Fri-Mon Room even though I currently plan on Arriving on Friday and leaving Sunday Evening so any room that covers that time will work. The reason for the Monday Preference is so I can enjoy the last day of con without having to leave my items some where or drag them to all the panels Sunday (assuming the Hampton does not have a bag check area). I am a 34/Male, I am a Red-tailed Hawk Fursuiter known as Victor Redtail (My Suit can be seen here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/10681970/ ) My FA is Sawblade5 ( https://www.furaffinity.net/user/sawblade5/ ) and I like it dark and as quiet as possible when I am sleeping. It's OK to have friends over in the room as I love meeting other furries. I follow the 6-2-1 rule as best as I can and I don't miss the shower part of it. I bring a few surge strips because I know how fast plug space goes and that goes a long ways in there. I hope someone has space. The chances of me attending are over 98% so the chances of me backing out are non existent.
My Plan for Arrival to the Con is VIA Amtrak Friday Afternoon and I leave the Con Sunday Evening on Southwest Airlines. I Already got my Hotel Transportation Figured Out except for the coin Flip on which Metrolink Station to use rather it be the Convention Center Station or the Laclede's Landing Station. They both appear to be the same distance to the Hotel.
I hope to find some space. Thank You!

KC Fur Boo at the Zoo 2013 Sunday October 20, 2013
General | Posted 12 years agoBecause Pups doesn't seem to be able to host this event this year as he has to work the whole weekend. I am gonna take it on my own to host the event this year.
The event will take place on Sunday October 20, 2013 at 9:30 AM. Plan on meeting at the front of the Zoo before then.
The Reason why I am holding it Sunday this year is because of the uncertainty of having to work that Saturday. If I know I wasn't working that Saturday I will had scheduled it for then. If I happen to be off that Saturday I will add a 2nd day to the event for Saturday, October 19 2013 at 9:30 AM, but as of right now it's just Sunday as I know I won't have to work then. I can't host the event while I am at work. (Same issue with Pups, work tends to get in the way of things for him too.) So If I decide to add a 2nd Day keep your eyes on FA here.
The event will take place at The Kansas City Zoo
The Admission is $11.50 Adults ages 12 & above; $10.50 Seniors;
$8.50 Children ages 3 -11; ages 2 and under are free
Zoological District (residents of Jackson and Clay Counties, MO) admission prices are:
$5 Adults; $4.50 Seniors; $4 Children and Friends of the Zoo Members are free.
Rules are as Follows:
1. Family Friendly Fursuits Please.
2. A fursuit is not required, in fact we will love to have plenty of Non Suiters with us to help us around and be extra sets of eyes for us.
3. Dress Warm if your Not Suiting (This is a good guideline more than a rule, This was an issue last year as our spotters got too cold.)
4. If you don't have a Fursuit you can still dress in a costume or even a Kigurumi. (the Kigurumi will solve the dress warmly issue) Heck you can even make a combo of it.
5. Have Fun Enjoy the Zoo and get lots of pictures of the Suits with the Animals.

Room Full wa Room/Crash Space Avalable for MFF at the Hyatt

All right it's is that time of the year again and I got a room reserved at the Hyatt. MFF in Rosemont, IL in November. So I currently needing 1 roomie for MFF. I will be bringing extra surge strips to the room to allow you guys to be able to charge up your phones, charge up your portable gaming systems, run laptops, ETC. (It wont hurt to bring yours also, the more the better.) The roomshare rates are about 1/4 of the total room cost for all nights which are approximately $140 Per Person for 4 nights for the Hyatt for MFF. The room is a double queen bed room (I will try my best to get the main atrium tower so you can look down at the con when you leave the room) and I got it booked from Thursday through Monday and I plan on being there early Thursday Morning so I should be checked into the room by the afternoon if all goes well.

General | Posted 12 years agoI got Space as of right now. I had 2 offers and only could take one.
For the MFM hotel I would like space at one of the 2 main Hotels but I prefer the Whispering Woods. Thursday-Monday. I am a 33/Male, I am a Red-tailed Hawk Fursuiter known as Victor Redtail (My Suit can be seen here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/4320055/ ) My FA is Sawblade5 ( https://www.furaffinity.net/user/sawblade5/ )and I like it dark and quiet when I am sleeping. If you don't have enough bed space I do have a sleeping bag I can bring into the room, No Problem. I follow the 6-2-1 rule as best as I can and I don't miss the shower part of it. I bring a surge strip because I know how fast plug space goes and that goes a long ways in there. I hope someone has space. 3DS Panel at AC and my Friend Code

What I would like to see everyone do is to cease posting the Journals and to remove ones you already posted about the so called Hacker Warning. All this does is spreads fear on what the person who started spreading the hoax wanted in the first place.
Based on the Hoax it sounds like reposting it will prevent yoy from getting hacked and banned. What I got to tell you is that no exploit is fixed by spreading a journal around and no admins will ban you if you don't post a chain journal. (in fact posting chain letters/journals can get you banned on some sites)

Need Crash Space for Mephit Furmeet
General | Posted 12 years agoFor the MFM hotel I would like space at one of the 2 main Hotels but I prefer the Whispering Woods. Thursday-Monday.I am a 33/Male, I am a Red-tailed Hawk Fursuiter known as Victor Redtail (My Suit can be seen here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/4320055/ ) My FA is Sawblade5 ( https://www.furaffinity.net/user/sawblade5/ )and I like it dark and quiet when I am sleeping. I follow the 6-2-1 rule as best as I can and I don't miss the shower part of it. I bring a surge strip because I know how fast plug space goes and that goes a long ways in there. The fact is McDonald's gave me an offer to buy out my Twitter account and gave me an offer I really couldn't refuse. McDonald's told me they need the account to market to Burds as they love their fries. But they want them to go beyond eating the fires and eating more of their products.

Yahoo Mail Hacked Again!
General | Posted 13 years agoOnce again people are sending out SPAM Messages to everyone on their address book from their Yahoo Email Accounts. The reason being is Hackers are taking advandtage of a XSS Exploit using Java. This XSS Exploit steals a copy of your session cookie and sends the SPAM from their machine. These things have been going on with Yahoo for almost 9 months now and I keep on telling people to quit using Yahoo and go with Gmail or Hotmail. I personally use GMail and have been happy with it from day 1.
About the Yahoo SPAM. This XSS Exploit gets activated when you are logged in to Yahoo and you click that link. When you click that link from any email service or client as the exploit is through that malicious link, it takes you to a site that steals your Yahoo Session Cookie using a Java. It then Turns to send that same SPAM link to everyone on your Yahoo Email Address Book thereby spreading like a worm.
The ways to deal with it is first.
1. Uninstall java. (If you use offline programs that require Java Reinstall but disable it in your Web Browsers, I had to reinstall Java but it gave me the option of not installing it into my browsers.)
2. Switch Away from Yahoo Email and go with Gmail or Hotmail. I use Gmail which has very strong security features and I have full control on my SPAM Filter so mail doesn't get lost like it did when I used AOL Email which loses emails too much.
3. Never click on suspicious links in emails.
4. Don't use the same Password for your email as you do to other sites. (I am not sure if these XSS Exploits are gaining access to your password, it's just stealing your session cookie to send the SPAM)

I am still looking for crash space at other cons like Megaplex, RCFM, and MFM. Preaty Much the same details I need a Room Thurs-Mon for those cons at their main hotel.
I am needing some crash space for me in the main hotel if possible or real close by

I am a quiet type at night when I am sleeping and I tend to get ready for bed sometime around Midnight when ever the con activities end that I am attending. I like a quiet room but it's ok to have a few friends over as I find that to be awesome (I love meeting new furs) as long as were not having a party till 5 AM. NAKA-KON After TFF
General | Posted 13 years agoWell since I have now found a room for TFF time to start discussing Naka-Kon. I am currently hoping to get crash space there also. It can be from any hotel within walking distance to the con. Like the Courtyard, Sheraton, Holiday Inn, Chase, Garden Inn, Pear Tree, or even the Drury. Therefore I am still willing to take the main hotel but I would prefer one of the others with at least a free breakfast or a Indoor Pool.
The Reason why I am more open to any hotel for this con as I was not impressed with the main hotel or how they servery restricted the Con Supporter Con Suite Privileges, Let alone the severe lack of Parking at the Hotel where Half the Parking lot is reserved for Valet Parking. Therefore I am still willing to take the main hotel but I would prefer one of the others with at least a free breakfast or a Indoor Pool.
