Need 1 roomie For MFF
General | Posted 13 years agoAll Right I got a few furry conventions coming up and I got rooms booked at both furry conventions. They are F3 in Springfield, MO in December and MFF in Rosemont, IL in November. So I currently needing 1 roomies for MFF and 2 roomies for F3. Both rooms are at their respective main hotels which are the Hyatt for MFF and the Howard Johnson for F3. They are both double queen bed spaces with the rooms booked from Thursday Night - Monday Morning at both cons. I will be bringing extra surge strips to the room to allow you guys to be able to charge up your phones, charge up your portable gaming systems, run laptops, ETC. The roomshare rates are about 1/4 of the total room cost for all nights which are $140 Per Person for 4 nights for the Hyatt for MFF and $70 Per Person for 4 nights for the Howard Johnson for F3.
Here are a few rules I go by.
* Please abide by the 6-2-1 rule as best as you can and the number 1 part of the rule which is a daily shower or bath is mandatory.
* Please don't leave trash around my room, put em in the cans. I will try my best to keep my trashed picked up, I hope you guys follow.
* This is a no Yiffing Room. I don't want to walk in or even hear about such things happening in my room.
* Please respect others privacy. If you are needing a private moment please make sure your fellow roomies know that you want some privacy.
* Please respect others property.
* Don't touch the incidentals (the candy, food, drinks they keep in the cabinet) at the Hyatt unless you are gonna pay for them.
* I like the room fairly dark and quiet at night so that means I will not have or allow the TV on all night and the lights kept to a minimum to where noone will be tripping over any roomies that happen to be sleeping on the floor instead of the bed. The quiet hours of the room may very but expect it to be around 2AM to about 9AM.
* Please be committed to wanting the room space, I don't really want to be taking anyone who is not completely sure of going to the cons and deciding with less than a week to go not to come.
* No Illegal Drugs, this includes synthetics.
* No Alcohol to minors under 21.
* The Rooms are non smoking. If you need to smoke take it out to the designated smoking areas.
* Any parties or meetups in the room must be approved by me and the other roomies. If approved the parties or meetups must abide by the room rules above.
* If there's any issues about the room or a roomie including myself please let me know right away. If the issue is with a roomie try to get it resolved with them first before coming to me for help.
That is about all the rules they're just pretty much standard.

Panda Guy - I lost another Furry Friend
General | Posted 13 years agoOnce again I am hearing about another fellow fur I know of passing away. It's never gets any easier everytime I hear about these things happening. I met with him at MFM this year and I got myself a Red Balloon from him tied to my Hawk Tail. The balloon which he gave me I still have is still sitting in my van since deflated from the con from the air leaking out. Now it's gonna be next to impossible to get rid of that balloon. So sad that I will be missing Panda Guy. I wish there was more I could had done for him at MFM this year or spent more time with him. Were gonna miss your Balloons at MFM.
I am Swtiching Shifts at Work
General | Posted 13 years agoI have finally got enough seniority where I work at to go from working evenings from 2:30PM-10:40PM to moving to day shift which starts at 6:30AM-2:40PM. This means a few things. One I now have my weekday evenings freed up. Two I have to get up earlier now so I have to go to bed earlier. Three it may affect my con scheduling for next year as I will no longer have the leeway on Mondays that I used to have but I know have more leeway in the evenings for doing more things. I can now attend weeknight KC Area Furry events so I am happy there. I have way more pros than cons on switching to this shifts and the pros fars outweighs the cons of switching shifts.
Anyone Needing a Ride Form Kansas City to Memphis for MFM
General | Posted 13 years agoI am posting this as I am driving my Van down to MFM and got spots for 2 other furs to come with me. I'll be leaving Kansas City, KS early Thursday Morning Aug 30th and coming back on Labor Day Sept 3RD. My Route will be Through Springfield, MO and not Through St. Louis, MO (Trust me the Diagonal Route through the Ozarks is really nice compared to all Interstates through MO and having to deal with Overcrowded I-70 through MO) with a possible brief stop at Silver Dollar City on the way there for a few hours for a quick coaster fix. (I have Vouchers for Free Tickets so it won't cost any extra for them)
The cost for the Carpool will be around $30-40 Round Trip. I have a few simple rules:
1. No Smoking Allowed in my Van
2. Do Not Carry Illegal Drugs, this includes the Synthetic Versions IE: K2, Bathsalts, ETC
3. Please try to help keep the van clean. I have a trash can in the van for small trash. Bigger Trash Items like Cups, Bags, ETC we will try to get em together and removed when it is convenient.
4. Follow Zombie Apocalypse Rule #4 which is Wear your seatbelts while the van is in motion.
5. In case of Zombie Apocalypse while Traveling Please Remember these rules here: http://www.zombielandrules.com/all-.....bieland-rules/
Send me an email if interested in joining up in my Car Pool at Sawblade05[at]gmail.com

Edit Room Found: I am needing Crash Space for MFM
General | Posted 13 years agoI found a room for now I'll leave this journal up if anything changes.
Cross posted from http://www.mephitfurmeet.org/node/491
I just comfirmed my trip down but I am needing crash space at perferably the main hotel or the Fairfield Inn on the edge of the property for Thurs-Mon. I am a Fursuiter and I like it dark and quiet when I am sleeping. I follow the 6-2-1 rule as best as I can and I don't miss the shower part of it. I have a refrigerator that I can bring with me so you guys can keep stuff cold without having to pay the $10 a night upcharge to have an icebox in the room. I also bring a surge strip because I know how fast plug space goes and that goes a long ways in there. I hope someone has space. I can be contacted at sawblade05 :AT; Gmail.com . The chances of me attending are over 98% so the chances of me backing out are non existent.

General | Posted 13 years agoThis is the Original Fursuit head for Victor Redtail made by :onaiwolfwind:. It did not work very well for my fullsuit as the colors didn't work as well as I thought it would. I am wanting to go ahead and sell him in time for AC. He is in kinda a fixer upper condition but you could probally use it at AC as it is ready to wear despite the fixer upper condition. He has only been worn to just a few events before I replaced him with my current version.

Coasting For Kids Fundraiser for Give Kids The World Village
General | Posted 13 years agoThank You
dragoneer for allowing me to post this.
Hey everyone, I am once again raising money for Give Kids the World Village as part of the Coasting for Kids fundraiser. This years Coasting for Kids Event will be on June 10, 2012 at Worlds of Fun which is part of a overall fundraiser effort with all the Cedar Fair Owned Parks Involved. This will be my 3rd year taking part in this. In 2010 I raised a total of $110 for GKTWV and in 2011 I raised $100. I am hoping to raise well over $200 this year doubling total from what I raised in the last 2 years. My fundraising page for this year can be found at http://www.firstgiving.com/fundrais.....-3/WorldsofFun You can make online donations there on that page.
Give Kids The World Village is a magical resort where kids who face life-threatening illnesses can be kids. Since its founding in 1986, Give Kids The World has welcomed over 97,000 families from all 50 states and over 68 countries. Last year alone GKTW hosted more than 6,500 families
Give Kids The World has made a promise to never turn a child away. For 70 percent of the year however, the Village runs above 100 percent occupancy, meaning some families must lodge off property during their Wish Trip. For this reason, Give Kids The World Village is in the midst of the largest expansion project in its history.
Demand for Central Florida wishes is forecast to increase about six percent each year through 2015. To accommodate this growth the Village will need to expand to approximately 192 villas. Every person you tell about this mission, will help bring GKTW one step closer to achieving this goal. For further information you can visit GKTW's website at http://www.gktw.org/

I am sick of missing Furcons! So I should go to Wild Nights!
General | Posted 13 years agoWell I am having too much frustration and stress with work and being with my parrents that I felt like I need get out of town away from work and my parrents for the weekend. I noticed that there's a very neat Furry Convention happening near me called Wild Nights. I think I should go to it as so many furs I know that I miss will be there. It will also prevent me from having another case of Missed Con Depression that I have when I can't go to other Furcons like FCN, FWA, TFF, and so on.
I blame RedFox Costello for talking me into wanting to go. I plan on arriving for Wild Nights early Saturday morning as I'll be drving straight there after work in Fairfax, KS Friday night. Your prayers and well wishes on my trip to and from the con will be appreciated.
I hope to see you guys at Wild Nights!

Sad Bird is Sad! We keep on losing fellow Furs! :,(
General | Posted 14 years agoI am writing this Journal because I felt the recent loss of
ponybird and
Loki_Blackfang in a car accident hit a little too close to home in a personal sense. I didn't know Loki Blackfang as much as I did as Vex AKA PonyBird. Vex seems to have been a fan of my pictures, my fursuits, and of course birds. His fursona was a Hippogryph therefore he was a fellow feathery like me.
Well Vex was a follower here on my FA Page and I followed him on Twitter. I saw his last tweet merely hours before I heard the first bit of bad news about him and Loki dying in a Car Accident. It's just so sad too see how lively they were only to die tragically in a car accident. It's been a rough few days here since hearing about this. I even broke down and cried tonight after my work week was over thinking about this and how quickly your life can end. It's even hard just to drive thinking of this. The furry fandom is like a big family to me and to hear of things like this happening is hard on all of us. I have lost members of my actual family members and co workers from car accidents and I know hearing about this is tragic and very sad.
Right now there is a fundraiser effort going on to help cover for the expenses of getting Vex home right here at: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/3273506/ I hope you can help out.

MY 191 Game in Fursuit Bowling Today (3-4-2012)
General | Posted 14 years agoI am writing this journal in disbelief, that I actually scored a 191 in full fursuit today at
kcfur Furry Bowling. I had to pinch myself to make sure I was not dreaming. I was not. I was that much on my game today in my Fursuit.
All Month I was looking forward to bowling in my Victor Redtail Fursuit again. I felt all ready to bowl and was all excited for the day. I got there and suited up. On my first game I was only getting warmed up not really finding the strike pocket in my first game until the 10th Frame, with many of my spare shots converted to net a 111 Game for the first game. On that 10th Frame I kept track of how I was finding the pocket. I ended up throwing the ball harder and shooting the ball at the 3rd dot over towards the 2nd arrow on the right. The ball hooks back and hits the pocket dead on, knocking down all the pins. I made a slight mistake on my last shot of the 10th frame of my first game ending up in the gutter.
However I overcame that at the start of my 2nd Game and I bowled a strike to start things up, but took a minor setback in the 2nd frame with leaving the 9 pin up on the cross alley spare shot where I am literary leaning against the Ball Return as I start my approach. But Didn't get my bowling ball quite across the lane to get to that pin. I also had that same issue with the open frame in the 8th going after the 4 pin, but I did get the 6 and the 10 pin in the 3rd Frame along with the 8 Pin in the 4th Frame. I proceeded to get a Turkey for the 5th frame which were strikes for the 6th and 7th frames also. In the 8th Frame as I mentioned before I left the 8 pin standing as a result of not getting the ball across the lane far enough to hit my mark and get the 8 pin. IN the 9th Frame I messed up on my first ball and made a gutter, only to come back and knock all the pins down for the spare, setting me up for the 10th Frame. In the 10th Frame I messed up on my first ball and only managed to hit 7 pins leaving the 3-5-6 pins up. ON the next ball I got it right on target and knocked em all down setting me up for my final ball in the 10th with a fresh set of pins and finishing my game off with a strike. ON that last shot all the furs were watching me and at least 3 of them had their cameras on me when I made that last shot and jumped up and down in excitement as I made such an awesome 191 game. Had I didn't mess up on any of those 2 open frames I would of had a 200+ game.
A stat sheet of my 2 fursuit games with all my strikes, spares, and pin leaves today can be seen at: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7523831/
My question is I wonder How many Bowlers can bowl in fursuit and get up there around 191 or even over 200 in Full Fursuit? I would love to know who I am up there with and who those fursuit bowler greats are.
I look forward to our next Fursuit Bowling meet on a TBD Date in April.

How To Bowl in Fursuit: The Ways I Bowl in Fursuit
General | Posted 14 years agoWell since I usually have to school furs and usually beat most every in Fursuit Bowling against other suiters and non suiters alike without a Handicap. (Yes I have beaten non suiters while Fursuit Bowling and I try my best to beat everyone in bowling that is suiting or not suiting, Bowling in suit is a fun challenge and I love every minute of it) There was this time when I went up to Nebraska to hang with eh Nebraska Furs and I beat everyone Fursuiter or not in the 2nd game of Bowling up there.
Yea with the upcoming
KCFur Fursuit Bowling this Sunday March 4, 2012 here in Kansas City or as I should say Lee's Summit, MO at Summit Lanes at 1PM I will give you guys some pointers on bowling in Fursuit with a House Ball.
My Equipment is:
*Bowling Shoes which I highly recommend when your fursuit bowling (You can use your Fursuit feet but you will risk slipping and falling on feet that are not designed to be bowled with, also you will be putting great wear on those feet when your sliding on the ball release. Some Bowling alleys that have Fursuit bowling will require you to wear bowling shoes anyway. When I am wearing Bowling Shoes with my Fursuit I will put my Socks on the outside of my full fursuit legs to create the nice illusion that I am a bird wearing socks and Bowling Shoes. I highly recommended you to wear bowling shoes instead of your fursuit feet for those reasons I mentioned in these pretenses)
*Standard House Ball (I use a 14 pounder as that is the low end weight I bowl with in my Bowling League)
*Bowling Towel or any Hand Towel (This will help keep the oil off and staining your Fursuit from the oil that is sued on the lanes)
Please use the bowling lane chart here: http://www.thebowlingcoach.com/bowling_rules.html for reference of where I stand and where I aim for.
About variations on the approach configurations, Please note that some bowling alleys have 7 dots at the 12 and 15 feet from the approaches and most others have just 5 at the 12 and 15 feet from the foul lines on the approaches. As of right now the 5 dot configuration is the most common but is rapidly being phased out when bowling alleys replaces their older wooded or synthetic approaches with the newer synthetic models from both Brunswick and AMF who are now producing the 7 dot variety) (MY bowling alley where I bowling league at has 5 dot approaches while the bowling alley where we have our furry bowling at has the 7 dot varieties.) The dots on the approaches will line up perfectly with the center pins on the lane or all pins with the 7 dot style. The arrows on the lane surface also line up with the pins.
The Pocket is what I refer to the area between the 1 and the 3 pin (It is the 1 and the 2 pin if your a south paw) and the Brooklyn pocket is the area between the 1 and the 2 pin. (1 and 3 pins if your a south paw)
I am a right handed bowler so if you are a south paw do everything from the opposite side of the lane. IE My Left is now your Right and My Right is Now Your Left.
A board is part of what makes up a lane or approach. There are 39 boards on the lane itself with more on the approach as the gutter and lane dividers are not on the approach. The boards are physical positions you can adjust your shot with on the approach.
The Pins Numbers are a shown here:
Per Rule #5 in the USBC Rule Book. A foul is committed when any part of the body touches any item past the foul line after the release of the ball past the foul line. (Legal Delivery) That means if you are wearing your fursuit feet and you trip and fall onto the lane after you release your ball past the foul line, you have then committed a foul that that shot will count as 0 pins knocked down. This is one of the reasons why I recommend wearing Bowling Shoe as Fursuit Bowling. The only loop holes around this rule is to grab a personal object that fell just slightly past the foul line. (if it's further down the lane have the Bowling Alley attendant get it for you) or you went over the line but you did not release the Bowling Ball. (See the Machuga Flop YouTube Video for an prime example of that loop hole here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8gNC5llGuY but Don't do that in Fursuit Bowling as you can hurt yourself really bad, ruin your Fursuit, and possibly get yourself banned form the Fursuit Bowling Events and from the Bowling Alley) The Foul line runs an Infinite Line across the Bowling Center so if You throw the ball down your lane and then cross the foul line on the next lane you have committed a foul. Also this covers anything past the line form within the center so if you would touch a column past that line after your thrown your ball past the foul line it is also a foul. Now I will not call it a Foul if you go outside to your car which happens to be past that line. Now if you go past the line after you release the ball in anger (Doing it on purpose) that is a foul for both shots in that frame.(Again Per USBC Rule Book) Other words don't go past that line. Bowling Alleys don't want you going past that line becasue the lane surface is oily and slippery, try to avoid it if possible even if you go past the line without releasing your ball.
In my Victor Redtail Fursuit. I have my fursuit gloves firm fitting to my hand so I can use the fingertips of the Bowling Ball, but not the thumb hole. I do not put my fingers all the way into the ball I just put my finger tips in there and support the ball with my other hand for support. My approach is from just to the left of the 2nd dot from the left on the 5 dot approach configuration (3rd dot on the 7 dot configuration), which is the first dot to the left of the center dot. I usually am 1 and a half board form that dot on a normal day. The distance I stand form the Foul line is about 13 and half feet which is in between the 2 rows of dots on the approach. Now that I am on the spot where I want to start my approach from I will concentrate on the 2nd Arrow on the lane from the Right Gutter. That 2nd Arrow is what your gonna be aiming for when you throw your ball down the lane. When I am fully concentrated on that 2nd arrow I begin my approach along with moving my ball back and forward for the release with about 5 steps towards the foul line and slide and I release my ball hoping my aim is on target. (with the 2 handed shot in Fursuit the ball with tend to have a hook in it) If everything goes well and the ball hits the target just right, the ball will hit the pocket and knock all 10 pins down. But that doesn't always work out right and you will have to go for the spare.
For spare shots I will use my normal strike ball position to determine where I will begin my approach from. I will start from the same distance to the foul line as I did with my first ball, but the board I'll be standing on may be different depending on which pin or pins I need to hit. Today most Bowling Alleys have a pindicator showing you where you should hit the pins at and you can adjust to make sure you can try to put your ball there, but don't always trust the pindicator as it's not always accurate and most of em don't recognize south paws anyway. There are 1024 different spare shot patterns per http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tenpin.....leave_patterns and it is Impossible to cover all 1024 patterns in this journal. If you want me to tell you what I would do on a particular spare pattern just comment in the journal and I'll tell you what I would do.
If I miss the Strike Pocket in the first ball and I determine that the strike pocket shot will pick up the spare I will just bowl like I normally do on the first ball and I hope I don't make the same mistake I did on the first ball. If you left multiple pins or left a split there's sections on that below but read through the Single Pin Spare Shots to help guide you to know where your approach should be.
Now If I got rid of the pocket on the first ball but left other pins up. I will make approach adjustments accordingly. Like If I leave the 3 or the 9 pin up I will move about 4 boards to the left and shoot over the 2nd arrow. If I leave the 2 or the 8 pin up I will move 3 boards to the right and shoot over the 2nd arrow. If all goes well I will pick those up. On those number 2 pin and number 3 pin spare shots beware of the ninja pins behind them. If they're there than cut a board from your number 2 or number 3 pin adjustments so the ball will be at an angle to knock both pins down.
The tougher spare shots to get in fursuit are the 7 and the even tougher 10 pin. The 7 pin is not as hard to pick up as I am hooking the ball to the left on my shots but the 10 pin is tougher when my ball is hooking to the left on my shots, leaving me with a tight rope act with the gutter on the right to keep it on the lane or it will just hook to the left and miss. Where I stand for the 7 pin spare is 9 boards to the right of my strike shot approach position and I will shoot for the 2nd arrow. For the 10 pin spare I will move 12 boards to the left and shoot for the 2nd arrow hoping it doesn't go into the gutter or hook too far to the left, if all goes well and the ball doesn't do anything evil it will hit the 10 pin. As of right now I don't have the spare shot perfect of knocking down the number 10 pin and 9 times out of 10 I will miss that spare because of that, which is why I don't want to leave just the number 10 pin up. It might help to throw the ball harder also where it wont hook as much, but you may just need to give 10-11 boards to the left form your strike position if you will shoot hard, you may also want to shoot between the 2nd an 3rd arrow if you are gonna throw it hard also so it won't fly into the gutter either.
The spare shots of the 4 and the 6 pins are as follows. To get the 4 pin I move 6 boards to the right and aim for the 2nd arrow and to get the 6 pin I move 8 boards to the left and aim for the 2nd arrow.
For just the 5 Pin (The pin that is almost as evil as the number 10 pin) just move 1 board to the left from your normal strike spot and shoot the ball over the 2nd arrow.
For multiple pin non split shots I will try to hit the ball in the pocket of the remaining pins such as a 2-4-5-7 spare shot I will try to hit the ball in the pocket in between the 2 and the 5 pin by moving 2 boards instead of 3 boards from my strike position to the right and aiming for the 2nd arrow. Like wise for a shot with the 6-9-10 I will move 7 boards to the left from my strike spot and aim for the 2nd arrow hoping the ball with hit the pocket in between the spot where 6 pin and 9 pin is and take out the 10 pin. Like wise If I am going for a spare with the 4 and the 7 pin I will try to hit the pocket in between the 4 and 7 pin by moving 7 boards to the right form my normal strike approach position and aim for the 2nd arrow.
For converting splits your spare shot is dependent on what the split is. For example if I ended up with a 7-10 split I would go for the 7 pin and hope for some luck the pin flys right and hits the 10 pin, on this shot I would go for the 7 pin spare shot but Instead of moving to the left 9 boards I would move 10 boards and I will throw a little bit harder over that 2nd arrow to get some pin action to maybe get a lucky bounce into the the 10 pin.
For simpler splits such as the 3-10 split I would put the ball into the spot slightly to the left of where the 6 pin once stood by moving 6-7 boards to the left of my strike approach spot and shooting over the 2nd arrow hoping my ball will hit the 3 pin just right to bump my ball over to the 10 pin, I can also get that shot by moving half a board to 1 board to the right from my normal strike shot and aim for the 2nd arrow and slide the 3 pin over to the 10 pin.
For a Simple baby split, I have not had much practice with these as I don't see them too often, one version of a baby split would be the 5-6 split, you will have to find a way to put the ball dead center in between the 2 pins and it will knock them both out, in this case I will try to attempt it by moving 2 boards to the left and aiming for the 2nd arrow.
A tougher split to pick up are splits like the 5-7, 5-10, 2-10, or the 3-7 splits. I would hit the pins at an angle to slide over to hit the other pin. For the 5-7 I would move a couple of boards to my left and aim for the 2nd arrow and hopefully convert, for the 5-10 I would move 1 to 1 and a half boards to my right and aim for the 2nd arrow, for the 2-10 split I would move to the spot where I would position myself on my 4 pin spare approach, and for the 3-7 split I would position myself to knock on my 6 pin spare approach. From those spots if I did it correctly I would convert those splits. Some of these tougher splits may be paired up with other pins usually in a pocket position. In those cases you will probably not need to adjust the shot I gave you as the other pin may already be in the path of those shots, likewise I would treat the 2-3-7 split like a 3-7 split, if the shot is done right the 2 pin becomes collateral damage of that shot.
Even tougher but not quite impossible is the 6-7-10 split or the 4-7-10 split and it's likewise variants 6-7 and the 4-10 splits. For the 6-7-10 and the 6-7 splits I will shoot from an approach similar to going after the 10 pin but I will move over to the left 13 boards instead of 12 aim for my normal spot on the lane to get the right angle to slide the 6 pin over to the 7 pin. Likewise for the 4-7-10 and the 4-10 splits I would stand at the approach spot similar to my 7 pin approach but I will move to the right 10 boards instead of 9 and aim for my normal spot on the lane to get the right angle to slide the 4 pin over to the 10 pin.
I already covered the 7-10 split above but there are other almost impossible splits to pick up, for example the Big 4 (4-6-7-10) and their variants. (4-6-10, 4-6-7, and similar but not as tough variant 4-6) For the 4-6-10, the 4-6, and the normal big 4 I would do my approach similar to the 7 pin approach but I will move 10 and a half boards over and aim for my normal spot to try to get the 4 pin to slide into the 6 pin and hopefully hit it at an angle to send the 4 pin towards the 10 pin also, the ball would hit the 7 pin if it was there. For the variant not covered there the 4-6-7 split I would have to hit at a spot toward where the the 10 pin would be standing, I would move 13 and a half boards to my left and aim for the 2nd arrow and try to get it or I would through a hard ball from that spot and aim in between the 2nd and 3rd arrow hopefully with enough momentum to get it in the right spot to pick up the spare.
One more split to cover is the nearly impossible 5-7-10 split and what I would do at Fursuit bowling if I had to fact this monster is find a 6 or a 8 pound bowling ball and try my normal 5-7 split conversion shot hopefully the lighter weight of the ball will make it bounce from the 5 pin over to the 10 pin.
That is all the spare shots I'll cover here. If there's any other you want me to see what I would do about it it comment below. For further reading about spare shots visit here: http://www.jimloy.com/bowling/spares.htm They seem to be nicely detailed about em.
About myself in Bowling along with Fursuit Bowling. I also bowl in a USBC sanctioned league where I happen to be the league secretary in it also. My human shot is similar except I throw the ball harder and I use the Thumb Grip along with the Finger Tips. I simply carried over what I know there into Fursuit Bowling. As of this journal I currently average 162 out of Fursuit and average between 120-130 in Fursuit. If there's any other question please ask in the comments below.
7 8 9 10
4 5 6
2 3
1Don't Cross The Foul LinePer Rule #5 in the USBC Rule Book.
My Fursuit Strike Shot, Ball Handling, and DeliveryIn my Victor Redtail Fursuit. For just the 5 Pin (The pin that is almost as evil as the number 10 pin) just move 1 board to the left from your normal strike spot and shoot the ball over the 2nd arrow.
Multiple Pin Non Split SparesFor multiple pin non split shots I will try to hit the ball in the pocket of the remaining pins such as a 2-4-5-7 spare shot I will try to hit the ball in the pocket in between the 2 and the 5 pin by moving 2 boards instead of 3 boards from my strike position to the right and aiming for the 2nd arrow. Time To Start Looking for a New Bodysuit For Victor Redtail
General | Posted 14 years agoCross Posted from LJ Fursuit Auctions at: http://fursuitauctions.livejournal......m/2285348.html
After having to replace my Hand Paw (Wing Tip) Pieces due to bad quality fur and with the rest of the bodysuit starting to wear out and my spots fading away with washes with salt and fabreese, and with spraying after spraying with Lysol or the Walmart Version. I am needing a new Bodysuit, with Hand Pieces, Attached Tail, and New Feet for Victor Redtail. So I am looking for quotes from reliable artists who are willing to get the job done in a timely manner. When quoting please provide me with references of your previous work.
Here are Some References For What My Character Look Like and I want Included in the New Bodysuit Design:

The New Bodysuit, Feet, Hands, and Tail will still use all Faux Fur. No Feathered Fabrics, PVC, or Vinyl and I need to have good quality fur as mentioned above the fur with my existing bodysuit is very flimsy and I think it may have came from Walmart or Joanne's.
I don't plan on wanting Padding in the new Bodysuit so don't worry about that.
The New Bodysuit Will be built all the way up to the top of my neck as my Existing Fursuit Head does not have a neck piece so I don't want any skin exposed when I am moving my head around. Illusion means everything to me. I plan on making my DTD go to that spot when I am building a new one.
The Zipper Position on the New Bodysuit will and must still be in the back. The reason for the back zipper is it is much easier to get in and out of suit when I am soaked in my sweat with a zipper on my back instead of on the front. I have messed with front zippers when I am soaked in my won sweat and it does take quite a bit of time peeling off the suit and possibly damaging the fur when I do that. I can easily reach the zipper on the back anyway by attaching a string or a lanyard to it and pulling it up and down to get out of it and I hide that string around my neck.
As For the Duct Tape Dummy. Artists use them for with Stuffing em and using them as a base to build the fursuit body around or using the DTD and cutting them up into pieces to make patterns out of. I need to know which way you work with DTDs so I know rather to hold still for the DTD Process or I need to move my Arms, knees, legs, and back if your using it for a pattern. The last artist who built the bodysuit for me didn't tell me and the suit ended up fitting me in a funky way and the legs and arms came up short.
Hand Paw Details: Unlike What you saw on my Red-Tailed Hawk PJs I do still want my Hand Paw (Wing Tips) to still be separate from the bodysuit. I want them to have all 5 fingers as I plan on using it for Fursuit Bowling, gaming, and Fursuit Games. I also would like to have a spare pair of em. The wing tip pieces will extend past my Wrists so there can be a place for snaps to be added to snap on to the inside of my arm/wing pieces to keep the 2 tone colors aligned and secure my Wing Tips to my Wings/Arms of my Bodysuit. Colors: Brown and Creme or White Colored. The front of my hands will be Creme/White Colored and the back side will be Brown. If you decide to markings on my fingers please use brown fur and not air spray. The air spray markings will be gone after a couple of cons/outings as this gets quite a bit of abuse. As Mention Above I do want to have a spare pair of these for various reasons like to replace em after the old one gets too worn out or just got dirty after fursuit bowling or riding on escalators.
Tail Details: It will and should be attached to the Bodysuit. I want my Tail to be done like they were done on my Red-Tailed Hawk PJs as seen here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5017531/ The Colors of the Tail Will be a Rust Colored Red (My Existing Bodysuit Tail is CR Craft's RedFox Colored based on a Swatch Color Match) With a Black Band and Creme/White below that Band. The Under Side of the Tail Will be Creme/White Colored.
Wing/Arm Details: I want my Wings to be done kinda in the style of my PJs as seen at: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5017531/ but the Wingtips to be separate Hand pieces as described above. I Don't really want to much change in my wing markings. keep em brown as They can be air sprayed on if you can find some water/wash proof paint to use for air spraying. but I am wondering how much extra to have the brown markings sewn on with brown fur instead of air spray as I feel it will keep the spots longer that way and wont fade in washings. The Back of my Wings is Brown and I don't know if I need to have markings back there or not. I am kinda used to not having markings back there. I think my existing Bodysuit did have some air brushed markings back there but they have faded away after going thrown some washes. I have yet to decide on having the wing feathers separate from the body as with my existing fursuit body or going with having them attached like on my PJs. I am leaning towards having them attached to the body for a better look.
Chest/Frontside Details: I kinda want my chest spots to be a little lower on my chest and align more with the wing markings as you can see form the Red-tailed Hawk photos there is a bare white/creme spot above the brown spots. Those spots are at random places on the chest. They should be located from the lower rib area to just above my waistline. The entire Front Side of my Bodysuit will be creme/white colored to just below my knees which is where I want my yellow leg section to start. The spots will ethier be sewn in or airbrushed in but with the problems with the Airbrushing Fading away after various washing I may opt for having them sewn in.
Backside Details: My Back will have the Zipper on it. If you can make the zipper hidden behind a flap that will be nice. I don't plan on having any details on the back and it will be brown between my wings and above my tail as shown in my old reference, my existing fursuit body, and PJs. The color below my wings and tail will be creme/white colored all the way to just below my knees where it will be yellow.
Leg Details: As Mention on my Front an Back Details, The Color will be Creme/White Colored to just Below my Knees. The Area Below my Knees will be yellow to my feet.
Feet Details: I don't want much changed. It will still be yellow as referenced. I kinda want to have a Small Talon/Rear Tow added on the back my feet unless it would affect my Movement too much. I kinda feel weird just having the 3 front toes and no rear toe on my existing feet. As for the Talons I don't want them to have any sharp edges but still look kinda mean, those sharp edge can damage items and I don't want that to happen. The Color of my feet will be Yellow and the Talons will be Black. I also want the feet pieces to go up my leg to above my ankle so I won't have any noticeable Separation from my Body to my feet when I am moving around or just sitting down. ON my existing feet I had to add the leg part to it to hide the top of the shoe and hid my leg behind the fur. The Botoms can etheir have Yellow Parade Soles or just a Fur Bottom with Sandals to wear for outside suiting.
Fur Scraps: I would love to get the Leftover Fur Scraps from the Project and I would love to know the sources of the Fur so I can get replacement fur for maintaining my suit, making repairs, replacing wing tips, and making any necessary adjustments. The reason why I need those fur scrap pieces is because on my existing Bodysuit, the modifications I had to do were add leg pieces to my feet, extend my hand paws to fit into my wing/arm, add snaps to my hands to keep the colors aligned with my arm/wings, extend my bodysuit to go to the top of my neck, with help from a friend I had the zipper raised a few inches higher to go with my neck modification, and with help from a friend I got the tail straightened out. Those problems I had before caused problems with the way my character looked and revealed bare skin in various spots causing the magic to be ruined. It's hard to keep Character when bare human skin is showing in the fursuit. To me illusion is everything. I want you to believe that I am a real Red-Tailed Hawk in that suit. I love my Victor Redtail Character and I have so much fun performing as him. I will treat my new Bodysuit as best as I can as I care so much about my Victor Character. My Victor Redtail Fursuit is one of my most prized possessions.
I hope this covers all the bases on what I want for my new Bodysuit with new Hands, Feet, and Tail.
Red-Tailed Hawk Pictures for Chest Spot and Wing Marking References:

A Hawk Photo I took: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3044791/
One More I took: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3086369/
My Red-Tailed Hawk (Victor Redtail) PJ's For Wing Style Reference (My Wing Tips will still have 5 Fingers so I can still Fursuit Bowl in it and not the 3 like on my PJs) and Tail Reference:
Front Side: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5017522/
Back Side: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5017531/
My Existing Victor Redtail Fursuit:
Front: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4320055/
Side: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4320071/
Back: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3777710/
My Old Character Reference Sheet:
Front, Side, and Back: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3387395/
Contest for Some Nice Dragon Scale Christmas Ornaments

teligress1988 is holding another contest this week this time for a Dragon Scaled Christmas Ornament for Free, See details here at: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2879179/Edit Found Space at MFF
General | Posted 14 years agoEdit: I found a space to crash. I'll be staying with
Sodalite,
ColinFT, and a fur to be named later in the last vacant spot. I got plans to be at MFF and I have already got my plane tickets to be there.
My plans are to be there from Thursday Morning Until Monday Morning.
I am needing some crash space for me in the main hotel as I am a fursuiter and they provide a shuttle from the airport to there.
I will be bringing Victor Redtail (My Fursuit) along with me and I am excited about this years theme of Route 66.
I am a quiet type at night when I am sleeping and I tend to get ready for bed sometime from Midnight - 2 AM when ever the con activities end that I am attending. I like a quiet room but it's ok to have a few friends over as I find that to be awesome (I love meeting new furs) as long as were not having a party till 5 AM. I am not into having Yiff Parties or Orgies in the room so I don't want to be in such a room like that.
I will prefer to be in a 2 bed hotel room due to the fact that if you get a 1 bed hotel room your will probally get stuck in one of the 4 turrets at the Hyatt which I have heard from hotel review sites that those rooms are very very small and I doubt 4 can sleep comfortablly in those rooms besides having a fursuit or 4 in there make it even more crowded. Some of those rooms in the turrets are only accessable via stairs. (The 2nd and 11th floor rooms in the turrets)
Please send me a message if you have room space for me.

You Better Stock Up on Cheeze-Its The Mighty Mo is Knocking
General | Posted 14 years agoWell I am making this Journal and very alert to an Ever rising Missouri River that is already beginning to breach levy's here in Kansas City. I happen to work right in the Missouri River Valley in the Fairfax Industrial District. The river is rising and I don't know if the levy will hold this time.
Back in 1993 the flooding came pretty close to taking out the District but the levy's held. However that was helped by most of the water going into Riverside, MO which has since built a higher levy on that side of the river. If we get near the same amount of water like we did in 1993 I doubt Fairfax would be spared because of the new levy system across the river. The Fairfax district has various factories such as GM and the Sunshine Biscuits (Kellogg's) Factory. At the Sunshine Factory is where the Cheeze-Its you love is made. If it gets flooded they're might not be any Cheeze-Its to be made for months and be down quite possibly longer than the GM plant I work at.
My job at the GM plant would probably be safe but I will be off work for awhile and it will probably end up costing me my trip to MFM if it happens because the plant is currently scheduled to be down those weeks but if it get's flooded those down weeks will be canceled as they would now be needing to make up for lost production (assuming if the plant is back up and running then and I should sure hope so) in a Critical Plant Status meaning that I may end up working 7 days a week. The stuff they would have done during those 2 down weeks would probably be done during the rebuilding process.

Well I am the last of the Birds in the FFFF 2011
General | Posted 14 years agoYea with the most recent elimination of Kootenay in tonight round and the elemination of Gulliver (
EenyuWolf's Fursuit) in the opening of the 2nd round leaves me with my 2 Bird Fursuits left in the competition. I now have the representation of all the featheries that are left in the FFFF meaning if a bird will have to win the competition, it would have to be ether Isaiah Eagle or Victor Redtail.
Right now my Isaiah Eagle fursuit has already took a loss in the first round against Vitai Slade with him not quite blowing me out at a score of 97-154. Isaiah now faces off against Ryger which I expect the vote to be coming up on this real quick probably sometime mid to late next week.
Now for my main Fursuit/Character Victor Redtail. Victor won his first round making it the only bird fursuit to take a win in the first round. It was a close match up though barley beating Kai Mitsuki by a narrow 9 votes with the score of 107-98. I do wish Kai Mitsuki good luck in the next round when he goes against Wool E. Mammoth. I now have to match up against Silent Wolf which blew out his competition Wool E. Mammoth with a score of 169-46. I have to face him in the 2nd round andI expect that vote to be up some time in the week before Memorial Day. The Vote will be on Monday May 16, 2011, Please show your support for Victor Then. Every vote counts there and it did in the last round.
Thank you guys for your support in the competition. The only way I can win these rounds is with support from you guys.

General | Posted 14 years agoWell both my Fursuits come up to vote this week on the Fandoms Favorite Fursuit Fracas. Right now my Bald Eagle Fursuit Isaiah Eagle is up to vote against Vitai Slade. That appears it's gonna be tough to beat hopefully Isaiah can win. On May 6th, my Red-tailed Hawk Fursuit Victor Redtail goes up for vote. He doesn't appear to have as tough of a challenger than what Isai ah is going through right now. I need your support and votes on both my Fursuits. You help is very appreciated!

I should had asked him ahead of time if I can come over to visit a friend that is traveling through and possibly stopping by his place. I said possible becasue I wasn't sure he was stopping by there at his place until it was too late. He told me no and I accepted it, he was then upset because he wasn't thinking I was wanting to come over and I should had told him I wanted to come over if the circumstances were right, much earlier. Therefore I was pretty much going behind his back.
If I knew what I was doing wrong then I should had stopped and didn't bother him anymore that night. I did get a message from the visiting friend and I sent a reply but couldn't find a place or a time to meet up at and I didn't want to disturb his travels too much. I ended up getting up late the next day because I was wounded up from the night before.
I was cool with the no request even though he didn't think I was OK with it. Probably because I was trying to figure out cutoff messages. I was just trying to calm him down but it I apparently made him more upset.
I don't know if there's a way to make it up to him or not about this situation. I am sorry about the whole deal. I look back at this and realized how I fucked up from it. I hope I can avoid this problem in the future. I am sorry for making my friend have to deal with this and I hope he can forgive me as I already forgave him. Maybe sometime we can make it up if he lets me.

I Finally Got One!
General | Posted 15 years agoI got me my very own flailing icon from
bombird. He did such a nice job on it with myself showing off my pretty and awesome wings! He really did capture my character well in the icon on how I like showing off my wings.
As for my cons plans for this year.
As of right now I only have 3 cons planed. They are:
Naka-Kon (Anime)
AC
Motaku (Anime Con and they enjoyed having me there last year with my Red-Tailed Hawk fursuit certainly made it the life of the con, they loved me there. Hopefully I can come to this convention.)
