Posted 9 years agoYesterday I went to Tyne Furs meet with a new friend. First time I've been. Bar stank like a teenage boys bedroom but was otherwise a thoroughly pleasant meet.
After the meet, my friend told me that someone asked if I was Scampy and they had heard various things about me. These were :
1) That I hadn't paid for my suit.
2) That the suit had been sold on.
3) That I used my suit for murr.
Despite this being my very first time at this meet there was the cosy familiarity of walking into a place full of furs who I didn't know and who didn't know me and yet still having a reputation preceed me.
I have come to expect this now. Nothing is new. Not even the weariness of having to just experience it. I'm not even bothered by the questions. The rumours. The stories. From all the things I've ever heard I've never heard anything which is true, rooted in fact or personal experience or which bothers me. What *does* bother me is that people can so easily talk *about* you but not *to* you. If you have a question or a problem or have heard something that you want to know more about. .. ASK ME. If it's an accusation or you don't like something you've heard. .. SAY IT TO MY FACE. I'm there in the room. Have the maturity or the balls to engage me with. Because if you don't you are simply a gossip monger. A drama llama. A twat. Murrsuiters are supposed to be the scourge of the fandom. Not true. The scourge of the fandom are people who spread gossip, rumours, bullshit without having the decency, front or respect to talk to someone face to face, preferring instead to talk about them a few yards away. You folk are, quite simply, silly people.
To answer the questions :
1. If I hadn't paid for my suit, how could I be in possession of it and wearing it ?
2. I designed the suit and had it made for and then delivered to me. It has not been sold on (though he may be in furbuy soon as what this fandom actually looks like says nothing to me about my life)
3. Scampy is not a murrsuit. He has never been used as a murrsuit. Even if I wanted to I couldn't use him as a murrsuit. ... anyone giving him even the most cursory of glances will see that the sheer mass of padding would make that physically impossible. The dropped crotch would require me to have an erection that came out of my groin at a vertical angle downwards around 7 inches and then exit the suit at right angles, with still enough length to penetrate someone / something else. As wonderful as my penis is I'm afraid it's not quite *that* lengthy and versatile. I feel like I need to hire Oliver Stone here to remake a version of JFK and explain the magic penis scenario.
Even if all these things were true ... even though I do like girls and find (some) suits hot (*Shock ! Horror! Outrage !* Who would have thought that ?!? Is it only ok for gay guys to be 'murry' or do we have a furry culture of institutionalised heterophobia ?) ... I'd still rather be that person and honest about it than being a silly little ball-lacking twit who listens to and spreads drama even when the person they're talking about is a bullshit busting bar width away.

Posted 12 years agoI'm old and ugly enough to not really get the drop or the blues after anything anymore ... you anticipate it and build it into the experience. I had a good CF and lots of fun and met lots of good new people
I do feel a bit sad though because I want someone to share all this with. To suit with and muck around with and have it all as part of 'us'. Seeing couples - especially suiters - really made me glad for what they have, but sad too as I covet that myself too. I think the whole planning and anticipation and process is as much of what I want as anything too. It's such a big part of me and I wish I could be the other part of someone else's longings and need and desire too.
