My favorite home recipe <3
Posted 12 years agoSo I have this recipe I like making. I figured I would post it up.
I got a wok last year sometime for myself that is great for making soup.
I don't really measure accurately.
~I use a pack of bacon, however it comes, and render it in low heat.
~Add some pineapple to absorb some bacon flavor and release some juices, which mix well with one another.
~I remove the bacon and pineapple after rendered and crisp up the bacon in a pan.
~Then, add some vegetables, depending on what I have. I already have a good flavor with the bacon fat and pineapple. I add some flour for a roux, and sometimes add some fresh ground pepper here if I have it.
~Ideally, I try to use whatever organic ingredients I have on hand, carrots, onions, celery. Bell peppers and garlic work well too. I caramelize them in the bacon fat, barely cooking them.
~I add some stock, and since the bacon has a lot of flavor and the pineapple will intensify it, I usually use vegetable or Thai stock. It doesn't really need meaty stock like chicken or beef.
~Then I add some diced potatoes. I like red ones for this recipe, but any kind is good.
~I add the stock slowly and try to leave the soup thick. After I get enough stock in, I put the pineapple in. When I serve it, I can sprinkle some cheddar cheese and let it melt on top. Then I break up the bacon and put that on top of the cheese. A lil Parmesan cheese works well too.
~As for spice, it really doesn't need much. Some white pepper, maybe a pinch or two of salt.

2. How did you two meet?
I saw him on a site with the screenname Lonely Lupine. I didn't want him to be lonely anymore. So, I added him.
3. When did ya'll officially start dating?
Neither of us can remember D:
But I consider it the day we met irl. June 27th. 6 months is coming soon. XD
4. Did you meet online?
I just said that.
5. What attracted you the most to him/her?
I am not sure. He just seemed like the sweetest guy I ever met. Mainly. I liked the change in myself. I was happy for the first time in my life.
6. Is he/she what you expected?
No. Absolutely not. He was more than I thought possible.
7. Did you have sex on your first date?
We only went on one official date thing. But on our first meeting, the answer is yes.
8. Are you two freaks in bed?
I guess so...
9. Do you live with them?
Nope, not for another two years, at least.

Mhm. XD

Hmm... He said something along the lines of, if I can't see you this year, I promise I will make time for you this summer. Which meant a lot to me.

But, if you must get me a gift here is my request. If you can draw, draw me something. If you can build, build me something. If you can write, write my a poem. If you can sing, sing me a song. If you have no talent at all, I'll take a hug. =3 This is what Christmas gift giving should be. I don't want anyone to buy me anything.
Spend it with people you really care about. If I can't see you on Christmas, you'll be in my heart. And I love you. I love you all. *Hugs and kisses to everyone.*

Wish I knew what the problem was...

Well, anyways, I have been having some issues lately, and I really don't know what the problem is. I have not been sleeping, not eating, and even when I want to, I just bring it back up. I get like this and can't feel any pain and barely feel emotion. I get like this when I'm in my so called "artist mode" where I have so much insentive to do art, and not much else. Which I guess will be good once I get fans, but will be rather a damper on my mental state.
I do have a few good friends that can help me through this time when I get like this, but they are getting fed up with all the bitching and drama I'm causing, and honestly I don't blame them. I mean, I need help desperately, but I can't even help myself, and I don't know what the issue is.
Guess, I needed to post that somewhere. Make way to that way to the moon, as I run along the path of white flowers... I will be amongst your embrace soon.
