A little bit stressed
Posted 10 years agoI'm feeling quite stressed at the moment. Some idiot on the sidelines who has indirectly caused a bit of bother and I ended up sending him a really nasty email. What happened before me sending this email almost caused me to almost fall out with someone else who in fact, I had fallen out with before and it resulted in a hate fic being made about that person late last year. I do not want for this to happen again but my feelings are really mixed right now and there are people out there who I am really struggling with trust issues. I feel like there are people who are taking sides and I am starting to lose a lot of trust in these people. I fully intend to embark on a mass blocking crusade if I have to. If I cannot trust these people, why should I carry on watching/following these people?
A question about Twitch
Posted 10 years agoOne thing what really annoys me about Twitch.tv is whenever I view someone's livestream, the first thing it does is it always shows adverts before I can see the stream. Is there anyway I can disable adverts so I can go straight to the stream.
More Gremlins theories
Posted 10 years agoIn my "After Midnight" theory journal, I described what I thought it could have actually meant by "midnight". I also thought of tying it in with the first rule, the one about keeping away from sunlight. Well midnight, which is extreme darkness is the opposite of sunlight. So to turn into Gremlins, mogwai need to be fully in tune with the dark in order to progress to the next stage. Latitude and the time of year would also play a part in it.
The amount of water consumed by a mogwai or gremlin whether drunk or spilt on them is also a factor to how much offspring is made. If just one drop is spilt like the one in Mr Hanson's lab in the movie, then only one mogwai is born. If a whole glass is spilt then up to 4 or 5 can be born.
Depending on whether the mogwai/gremlin is good or bad will also result in good/bad mogwai. If a good mogwai is subjected to water against its will or accidentally, then the chances are the resulting mogwai will be bad. If it is done wilfully with intent, then the resulting mogwai will be good.
Also if a good mogwai eats after midnight with intent on battling bad gremlins, then that mogwai will turn into a good gremlin while retaining all the memories of its mogwai stage. Same applies to water spilt on it.
I believe that the mogwai/gremlins probably come from a planet what is mostly dark far away from it's parent star and is rich full of water.
There are several factions of both good and bad gremlins. Although the good gremlins can still be as chaotic and mischievous as the bad ones.

Just noticed something
Posted 10 years agoHe's alive. How could I have missed that after all the times I have seen this movie. The one what got stabbed is still alive at 1:33 but we are led to believe he was killed.

The 'After Midnight' rule
Posted 10 years agoThere are three rules.
1) Don't expose them to bright light. Especially sunlight.
2) Don't get them wet.
3) Don't feed them after midnight
Of course I am talking about the classic fan favourite "Gremlins". The third rule is something I have always wanted to write about and try and make some kind of sense about it. Time zones and daylight saving time are the main clashes with the rule. But what does it actually mean by "after midnight". And how much food is required for the transformation process of mogwai to gremlin to occur. Would just one small mouthful of a sandwich be enough? I will try and explain my own theories to this the best way I can.
Let me first just say that Gremlins is probably my all time favourite movie. I love everything about it and is also the earliest movie I can even remember watching as a little boy. I can also remember pretty much every part of it off by heart.
Anyway back to the third rule. I have thought about it and maybe the "after midnight" thing may not be as literal as it may seem. I mentioned Daylight Saving Time and also different time zones. The time zone idea is actually mentioned in Gremlins 2 with the aeroplane flight as an example during a mocking conversation.
I personally think it could be more to do with the amount of darkness as opposed to the actual time. Depending on the latitude of the mogwai prior to eating after midnight as well as also how long the night is on any given day. The mogwai to gremlin process could therefore occur if the eating happens at 10:45pm for example if it is pitch black. Other factors to include could be a full moon or even a total eclipse, which would be during the daytime.
As for when the rule ends, I will say it ends around sunrise, which would be either earlier or later depending on what time of year it is.
Sorry if this theory sucks, it was just some ideas I thought of, what I wanted to share.

Koopa theories
Posted 10 years agoThese are a bunch of theories of mine concerning the Koopas. A lot of these I have already shared before but am bringing these back up as well as changing some.
I am not too familiar with a lot of the newly introduced minions in newer games and in terms of a more realistic setting, I tend to ignore a lot of non-Koopa based enemies apart from Goombas and other long term minions.
I think of Bowser's Castle or Castle Koopa, whatever name it goes by is the main home for a lot of Koopas, mostly those who are employed by Bowser within his Koopa Empire. Castle Koopa itself is probably much bigger than previously seen in each of the games. I imagine it to be full of many different rooms and has over 100 floors.
Koopas that join the Koopa Empire are highly trained and have to be fully qualified as well as take exams before they can even be accepted within the ranks of Bowser's armies. However there is more to the empire than just the armies. There are also teachers, personal trainers, tour guides, cooks, cleaners and other jobs to do in the castle.
Koopas that join the empire or anyone in fact who wishes to join must swear an oath of loyalty to Bowser and the koopa kingdom.
Bowser's Castle is built on top of Vista Hill deep in the far eastern part of the valleys within Dark Land.
Over 50,000 troops serve here and all of them are loyal to the kingdom.
--
This is a little something I have come up with so far. I may go into a lot more detail at a later date such as more in-depth information on the ongoing routines at Castle Koopa and individual fan characters as examples.

Got another video up
Posted 10 years agoFan character ideas
Posted 10 years agoSo I have all these fan characters I had thought up quite a few years ago, some even longer than that but have never got round to developing any of them. Thinking of doing a lot of bios and putting them up. Got several ideas what span through many different franchises/fandoms. Although the fan characters are exclusive to their own fandoms so never meet. Not even sure where to begin with a lot of them. Only a few koopas and pokemon characters I have put a lot of info on but I have many others from other fandoms I would like to try and introduce. I should try and get round to starting on them sometime.
Syria Vote
Posted 10 years agoSo the government has now approved airstrikes on Syria with a result of 397 - 223. I am so angry right now. Another country what is to be bombed to pieces. Sick of this shit.
Pissed off
Posted 10 years agoMy prime minister has publically said that anyone who opposes bombing Syria is a "terrorist sympathiser". This is what he thinks of over 75-80% of the UK population, he makes me sick. The goverment are having a vote at 10pm tonight on whether to go into Syria. This will begin with a debate starting at around 11am this morning, which will last all the way through tonight. I am hoping this vote gets defeated. I am sick of all these wars and going in to all these countries where we do not belong. This is not going to make things any better, it will make it worse.
Pre-December update
Posted 10 years agoDecember begins on Tuesday and the final month of the year as well as the last few weeks before Christmas. Had quite a busy month as I've been helping out with a lot of groups to talk about health related issues and with social work students at Coventry University. As well as sharing my story what I have also shared in my most recent video (although only the short version of it), I have also been to different places and meetings as part of what I do with Grapevine.
Tuesday just gone, I was at my local Learning Disability Partnership Board, what happens every two months. I have recently joined as a full time member and as a self-advocacy rep. The theme this month was Safeguarding and Forced Marriages.
Away from all that, I have earlier today just started on my tree and decorations with the help of my cousin who helped me set it all up. I still got quite a bit to do. I am thinking of waiting till Monday to do my actual Christmas shopping as that is also Cyber Monday so should be able to get some deals.
I am going to start preparing my Christmas Day journal this year as well as a year review, which will contain much information as all in all, this year has been a complete change from the shambles of last year and a massive improvement. So much things have happened both online and in real life and things have changed for the better. I am looking forward to getting this all published.

My story
Posted 10 years agoI tell my story with my experiences on some issues I suffered as a result from people I trusted. This is also a report I used in some self advocacy work with Grapevine.

#IStandWithRussia
Posted 10 years ago#IStandWithRussia on the fight against #ISIS and terrorism in Syria. America and the west needs to leave Assad and Putin alone and focus on the real problem. Disgusted at their attitudes particularly after seeing the images of the dead pilot and Turks laughing on RT.
31 next month
Posted 10 years agoTime has flown so quickly this year. In fact the past few years have gone so quickly with so much stuff happening. A month today, I will be 31 years old. Then Christmas two days after that. I am looking forward to it. I don't know what I will be doing yet but I hope it will be a great day and something I can really enjoy.
Part 6 - FINAL
Posted 10 years agoPart 5
Posted 10 years agoI sing Lady in red
Posted 10 years agoPart 4
Posted 10 years agoBeen thinking
Posted 10 years agoWell I've been thinking about this for a while and have had a bit of time to figure out what it is I actually want to say but I might as well say it out now. I don't have to wait till Christmas or New year for this kind of post but some of this will likely be repeated anyway around that time. So anyway, as you may have already seen in a recent journal not so long ago, I made a reference to how pointless a lot of what I said last year in my Christmas Day journal of 2014 about building bridges. Well to be quite frank, I have realised that is exactly what I have done with some people. It has been a very slow process but some people who I had fallouts with last year and for the start of this year I am back on good terms with. I don't feel like saying any names here but I have wiped the slate clean with certain individuals and I hope it stays that way.
There are two people however I wish to direct this following paragraph to. Again I am not mentioning any names but I want to say this anyway. Around May/June time this year, someone sent me a hurtful comment in relation to something I posted and compared me to Chris Chan and said me and others were like "autistic circus carneys". This was a very nasty and personal attack on me, which really upset me. This is coming from someone who had already sent me some other not so nice comments in previous years although to a lesser extent to this recent one, which was the worst yet. I have yet to receive an apology for this but whether I do or not is of little concern because I am going to forgive anyway. I am not expecting any apologies of any sort but that does not mean I should not forgive and forget. As for the second person, most people will be familiar with him as the admin of a specific forum I used to go to. But that is not the reason I am mentioning him. Whatever happened last year or the year before remains in the past. What I am more concerned about is the fact that he continues to keep me blocked both on Deviantart and on Twitter for whatever reason. I have done nothing to cause him to do this. I did send him an email actually with some very harsh words about this whole situation. Yet he continues to ignore me. I still have not forgotten that abusive email he sent me last year. Like with the other person in this paragraph, I will forgive. If he ever contacts me and clears things up then that will be good and It will make me feel better.

Posted 10 years agoPart 2 up - Super Mario World LP
Posted 10 years agoLet's Play - Super Mario World
Posted 10 years agoJust finished recording the first part of this. I have started using Bandicam, which is a lot better plus it uploads to Youtube much quicker too.

Bandicam
Posted 10 years agoWell I changed my mind and I have asked for some help and will now be switching to Bandicam. It seems to suit my needs a lot better and with the right settings, should be good. Plus I notice it uploads to Youtube a lot faster too.
Help with Fraps
Posted 10 years agoSo I am trying to record a LP with Fraps while using Snes9X but as soon as I set up the recorder, gameplay slows dramatically and therefore makes playing the game pretty impossible. Could anyone help me with this please as this is quite annoying and I don't know how to fix it. Thank you.
Another LP perhaps
Posted 10 years agoThinking of maybe doing another LP but not sure what to do for one. I don't really fancy doing an RPG as they are quite complicated to do and would rather do those in my own time while speeding through bosses. I might do a quick and easy platformer like Super Mario World or something. Yeah, as for boss battles in RPGs, I always tend to try and speed through them and use save states every 10 seconds because I suck. Yeah, it's bad I know but I don't care anyway. Plus RPGs take too long with all the grinding and sidequests etc. Was also thinking maybe one of the DKC games also for an LP possibility.
