After months of agonizing and obsessing over Dutch Angel Dragons (seriously, I made a journal about it 7 months ago), I finally have one of my own. :3 Actually...three lol.

I'm part of the Official Dutch Angel Dragon group on Facebook, and people post adoptables/rehomes all the time. I stumbled across one on the Fourth of July and fell heads over heels for the design. The rest, as they say, is history.

I then went on to adopt 2 more - a Raichi-based Dutchie and a freebie that someone posted.

Midwest Furfest 2016 is over (duh), so here's my obligatory after-con journal entry. It was a pretty enjoyable con. There were quite a few things that went wrong, but overall it was a good experience. I finally went to a writing panel (I always tell myself I'm going to go, but I never do lol), and I fursuited for the first time! My friend has two suits, so he let me borrow his partial for the weekend. I only suited for a few hours on Saturday... It was a little daunting, being in a suit around so many people. x_x; The head really inhibits your ability to see, which made my anxiety spike around so many people. I think I'd enjoy suiting at a smaller con more, at least at first until I got used to it.

I went easy on my wallet this year lol. I only bought a few things, and all of the art I got at MFF were pre-orders. x3;

There really isn't much else to say about the con lol. It was fun. I never really meet anyone new. :/ Idk, haha.

So onward toward 2017!

I'm having so much fun with this game!
And it's made me more active!

So, if anyone pays attention (hello to all like...3 of you that do xD) to my page/journals/me in general, you probably noticed that "I" look a little different... :P I decided to change my main fursona. If you scroll through my older journals, and if you ever read any on my old page, you'll know that I've been...not struggling...but like...not feeling as at-home with Coyo the last handful of years. I made a few other characters (Emera, Osono, and Kaliska), but none of them felt quite right either. I love them as characters, but not as ~*~me~*~.

Anyway, I partially blame Zootopia for this decision, and I partially blame my friends chikapet and nandi-bee. We decided to create fursonas to match our Little personalities (not going into that though! move along!), and I decided that Miss Bonnie/Socks would be perfect! And then after watching Zootopia my boyfriend decided that I was Judy, and that my new nickname was Carrots. The more I thought about it, the more I was like...hey yeah! I can totally see it!

So Bonnie Karots is now my main fursona. x3

It was a small con, and the flow through the Dealer's Den was pretty slow, but I'd still say it was a success. ludovique ended the weekend well into the profit zone, so score! I made a few new acquaintances and friends this weekend, which is always nice.

I haven't updated my journal in awhile (not that anyone reads this...), so I figured I would.

Life is good. My boyfriend and I moved into a house together back in January, I have a good job as a customer service rep with a medical manufacturer, my cats are grown and healthy... Yeah. Things are good. A little dull, but good.

I got home from Midwest Furfest not too long ago -- it was a great weekend! I made a few new friends (normally I talk to other furs, but don't really connect with them), and I commissioned some awesome artists. x3 I had a blast with my friends, and danced my booty off to DJ Recca. So yeah...it was a good weekend.

Now that I'm back in the real world, things are going to be hectic for the next 24 hours or so. xD; I start my new job tomorrow, so I have to get everything ready tonight. I also have to write an article for my old job, or at least get it mostly finished. Then tomorrow, after I get off work I have to go visit a vape shop to conduct an interview for ANOTHER article, and then write an article about that. Wish me luck, y'all!

I've been debating a new look for about a week now. I still love Coyo, and she will always be my first and most precious baby, but lately (and by lately I mean for awhile now) I've been feeling pretty...feline... Now I'm sure part of that is due to the fact that there are four cats where I currently live, two of which are mine, but still. I've always felt an inclination to the big cats, which I why I created Emera, but lately I've felt a great pull towards them.

I feel bad because Coyo represents me. She has been my animal representation since my freshman year of highschool. The last year of my life changed me, though, and I'm not sure I feel as connected to Coyo as I once did...which makes me sad. And kind of frustrated. I don't want to flip-flop between fursonas. I have three other characters aside from Coyo, but that's what they are...characters. I designed them because I wanted to, not because they necessarily suited my personality (although they all do, in one way or another). Bah. >w<

I disappeared for awhile again. I have a bad habit of doing that... >___>; I go through phases in the furry fandom. I'm always present, and I always identify as a furry, but there will be blocks of time where I don't really browse FA (usually because I'm avoiding it because I'm broke lol).

Let's see, what's new with this coy-wolf...

Well, I've yet to give a real update on events in my life this year, so as 2014 draws to a close I guess I'll revisit what's happened this year.
- I moved out of my mom's house in April. I now live with my mate, our two friends, and their 1 year old.
- My roommates' cat had kittens, and we (my mate and I) adopted one of them. Her name is Lola, and she's a grey tabby manx. She and her brother were 6 months old on the 3rd, and they just got fixed on Thursday.
- I got my first big girl job. I'm the administrative assistant for a small but rapidly growing e-cig news and culture magazine (VAPE Magazine). For the most part I get to work from home, which is very nice.
- I got sucked into fish keeping. My mate and I decided we wanted to liven up our room (this was before the kittens came), so we got a pair of platies from Petco. After they passed we decided to get a betta for our 1.5 gallon fish bowl...and the rest, as they say, is history. I am now known as the crazy fish lady. We have a 5 gallon tank that houses 3 females guppies and a nerite snail, a 10 gallon tank that's divided and houses two male bettas, and we recently got a ~2 gallon tank that now houses a baby betta. Oh, we also have a baby guppy one of the Magus Sisters surprised us with. His/her name is Phillip, and s/he is in a .5 gallon vase on our desk.

So, I decided to browse the documentaries on Netflix because, well, why not? And as I was surfing through the options I saw this: Nature: Meet the Coy-wolf. Apparently is a fairly recent hybrid that hails from Canada. Guys...guys...my fursona is an actual animal! It's a real possibility! And I'm just really excited about this kthxbai. >w<

I've decided that I'm dragging my mate into the furry fandom. He's expressed interest, and he plans on coming with me and my pack to MFF this December, so I figured...why not? x3 Plus, I could get super cute commissions of us (like I need any more reasons to spend money on art xD)!

But here's the thing...thinking of his fursona is harder than I thought it'd be. I asked him once, a few months ago, and he said "pink cat." That's all he gave me to work with, and other than that he's letting me have at it. I need him to be a cat/wolf, though...for...reasons. >w>; Gawd, I haven't had to create a new fursona in so long (actually, I made Socks not too too long ago). I forgot how hard it can be. Dx I've spent years perfecting Coyo.

I really want to do this, though. I wish I had art skills so I could doodle my ideas out. =/

All-in-all, I liked the first episode. A wave of nostalgia hit me like a ton of bricks. I loved Sailor Moon as a kid, and it's always held a soft spot in my heart. So SMC was not a disappointment -- although there were a few scenes (when Usagi is dreaming and it spiral-zooms in on her face) that kind of made me cringe because they were done a little poorly (c'mon, people...we have the technology). I like the new style. I loved the transformation scene (it looked like it had some CGI...am I wrong?).

So, uh, yeh. I'm excited for the rest. :3

What the hell is the point of going to college if, in the end, it really doesn't matter? I worked my ass off to get my Associate's and Bachelor's, but no company really gives a crap about that.
