Now that the FA outage is over (for the most part. You might have noticed that the site is in read-only mode), I just wanted to share that I have a Micro May pic in the works. Unfortunately, I can't post it here yet (cause, y'know, read only), so it'll be on my other socials.
Find me on DevArt, Itaku, Bluesky, and (the site formerly known as) Twitter as @/ScorchRedfield.
Honestly, I'm just posting this as a test to see if journals can be posted while FA is in read-only mode. If not, then you wouldn't be seeing this right now, so... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I've been debating to myself if I should post this journal, but I just wanted to get this off of my chest.
So, my parents just had a huge argument just a while ago, and it really put me in a horrible mood, to say the least. I don't think I have the energy to finish anything, so you might not see or hear from me for a while. I am deeply sorry to everyone who has sent art requests, and to everyone else.
I promise that I will be back. I just need some time to myself.

Posted 2 years agoThis is a journal post that I wish I didn't have to make... I wish I could say that I fixed everything and that everything could go back to what it was before, but that's not the case...
I've lost everything from my hard drive. I've done so much on that hard drive, almost everything was on it, but now it's all gone, and I feel like all of that work, I've done for nothing...
Even though I've lost just about everything, I don't want to give up. I want to keep going, I want to keep doing what I enjoy. If I have to start over to do it, so be it! I don't want to let anything bring me down, but it'll be a while before I can get back to what I had before... So just know that this is not goodbye, at least not forever, but until I can get a new flash drive, I can't do anything... I'm sorry...
UPDATE: On the bright side, I do have a backup copy of Sizebox with the models that I primarily use, so at least I still have something.

My external hard drive seems to be having issues, which is a problem because everything that I use (Sizebox, SFM, Blender and Photoshop) is on that hard drive. Unfortunately, I'll have to put everything on hold until I can get the hard drive fixed.
UPDATE: I'm currently in the process of restoring any files that I've lost. Once that is done, I should be able to get back to rendering.

Posted 3 years agoSomething on my computer was write-protected (meaning I can't edit the file) and when I moved it to my flash drive as a means to save space on my computer, ALL of the files suddenly became write-protected, which sucks, because now I can't delete anything on my flash drive should I run out of space.
I'm now going through the process of backing up all of my files on the USB and manually reformatting it, which will completely wipe everything on it. I'll let you know when it gets fixed.
