Okay, I don't often post journals, but I'm appauled at how many people treat others like total shit nowadays in the fandom.

Before I begin: By the way, you guys can hate me all you want for defending someone I took the time to get to know, but the point of this post is not to defend anyone, but to give you a look at how mean this fandom can be when people aren't face to face.
Also, I wrote this on my own terms. Nobody asked me to.

I can understand people outside the fandom not liking us and things getting a little hairy (heh).

But, being in this fandom has given me a new family, a pack. One that I could never see myself being without. The fandom is supposed to be kind and loving to each other because there are many furries who are treated like crap outside the fandom.

Yet, I have never seen more rude, assholeness anywhere in the world than I have in the last couple weeks within the fandom!
People are so mean to others. They make fun of people. They accuse people of PROFITING off other's deaths, particularly Lemonade Coyote (RIP), which was a huge misunderstanding and the person being accused, though I do admit sometimes can get a bit upset easier than others and react poorly, in all reality his heart was in the right place. He may have not thought it through as well as he should have, but the POINT of his project was good spirited, yet very few people took the time to ask, and went straight to accusations, which seems to be the common way of doing shit now. Then to top it off, those same people continuously make fun of his grammar and his anger problems. He admits on his Facebook he has troubles with learning, and you (hopefully) would never make fun of a disabled person, so why would you make fun of someone who has troubles learning to write?
Also, I'd be pissed to the way some of you treat people. And when he tries to be nice, fix things, express his feelings, you post even meaner crap. If you have to critisize, be polite for heavens sake!

I don't know 100% what happened behind closed doors, but from what was publically posted on Facebook, this is where I get my reasoning.

TAKE SOME TIME and get to know people, their situations, their stories. Understand them before you turn on them.

And for HEAVEN'S SAKE, DON'T TAKE SHIT SO DAMN SERIOUSLY!!!!!!!!

Last night, I spent about 10 minutes stressing about something that made me upset.
This is my rant about Gay Marriage.

*Please note before reading this, when I use the terms “normal”, “unfit”, “unacceptable”, etc... in quotes, I use them in terms of what I have heard people use against the gay and lesbian society and I do NOT condone such word usage against them.
I also want to mention that this is not meant to be a direct insult to anyone. Not friends. Not family. Not religion. Not the Government. Not anyone. Nor is it me telling you I hate you because you don't agree. However it is an angry rant, and as another one of our freedom laws states, I have freedom of speech and I shall use it as I please.
ALSO, there IS a huge bit on religion. It is a bit harsh, I know. HOWEVER, I respect all religions, their God, and their followers. I am writing this against discrimination. I will not tolerate discrimination, towards sex, race, or religion. Just remember, THIS IS JUST A RANT I AM USING TO GET OUT MY ANGER AND POINT OUT HOW THIS WORLD IS FLAWED! Please, DO NOT take it personally.
Any comments toward this that are threatening and / or rude will be removed and / or reported. I don't mind a debate, but there shall be no threats here please. If you would like to say “how much you hate gays”, and how you think they are stupid or whatever, you can message me, but don't post it here. I have friends who are as such and they don't need to read that crap. If this rant gives you reason to remove me as a friend. Go ahead. Good chance we probably weren't friends anyway.


I dedicate this to my Cousin and his roommate, and to all my gay and lesbian friends, and their friends, who have over the years been harassed, made fun of, and abused for finally standing up for themselves.


Today, as the world opens up more, we see more and more gay and lesbian couples. However these couples are, seen by many as “unfit” for society.
Even people who are supposed to be there for us, like school teachers and staff, councilors, and our own families, are hurting those who are supposed to be able to look up to them. I know teachers, who make fun of people I know for being gay, IN CLASS. A friend of mine turned in his homework online where it got hacked by another student and ended up with horrible, demeaning words written all over it. These words, although only written on paper, screamed to him that he was a “faggot”, and all the school did was send him home because he was upset. He has been, multiple times, degraded by his own teacher during class, in front of his peers, who then follow his teacher's act. It even appears in his grades how much his teacher hates who he is. Teachers spend entire years trying to wean kids from their cliché cliques and all hang out together. Yet they spend the same amount of time teaching other students that they shouldn't let the world know who they are and that Gays and Lesbians aren't normal and should be alone.
I know you government officials have made your laws final, and you can't change then for a few years to come, but for those of you who don't support this joining of two loving humans, I DEMAND to know one thing. What have gays and lesbians done to you?
What have they personally done, to make you dislike them so much?
Why? Why shouldn't these fine Americans be allowed to marry their same sex lover? Is it because of the things they do in the comfort of their own, PERSONAL, home? You don't have to ask, you don't have to know, and you certainly don't have to join in. Obviously, they don't want you to anyway, because if they did chances are they invited you because you were the same gender and you probably wouldn't be fighting them so hard to stop doing it. And what is this about getting and promoting AIDS? AIDS comes from having sex in general or being born with it through your parents. NOT because you are having gay sex. It could happen to anyone. Even you! Hookers are more likely to give you AIDS and more men have sex with them than each other! A cheating man going out and having sex with a hooker and then later having sex with his wife is more likely to spread AIDS than two gay guys having sex. You are more likely to get AIDS from sharing a drinking straw! And if you assume gays and lesbians sex around like hookers, then you are naive. They, like most of us, go out into the world, go to school and work, and find someone they care about like a “normal” human.
Is it simply then, because you don't want to see them making out in public? I hear many say, it's okay if your gay, just keep in private, in your own home”. But what if you saw a man and a woman kissing in the street? Chances are, unless you are completely sickened out by human nature, it doesn't bother you. But what if, the woman in that couple, had a penis? You wouldn't know, and you probably wouldn't ask. If you would, you are a sick individual and need some major help. But honestly, you wouldn't know, and it wouldn't bother you. We also see many “normal” couples out there involving a straight tom-boy. Seeing her kiss her boyfriend doesn't bother you either. You wouldn't ask her if she had a penis either. So what does it matter? What does it really matter to you to see two men kissing in a park? You COULD just pretend one is a tom-boy. The POLITE thing to do. What is in your personal thoughts, they wont know. They'll never know it bothered you, and for once, people, who are born gay or lesbian, can be happy.
If you have a boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, or wife, you know what love is. And you, because of this, know what happiness is. It feels good, doesn't it? So do gays and lesbians not deserve to feel as good as you? Is the feeling of love and happiness too good for them? Despite the obvious physical differences, everyone is the same. We all have a heart, a brain, lungs, hands, feet, toes, fingers. We all have eyes to see love and hate. Arms to hold the ones we love. Mouths to tell them how we feel. Hearts to keep them close to us. And feelings! WE ALL HAVE FEELINGS! We are all human! If someone told you you couldn't be with the one you love because you were too ugly, or stupid, or poor, you wouldn't just agree with them. If you say you would, you are a LIAR! You'd FIGHT to be with the one you love. And that is what the gays and lesbians of the world are ever so strongly trying to express. Just as you are born black or white, Chinese or Mexican, French or English, you are born straight or gay. But you are still human. A human with a beating heart, that beats the same blood you do, and loves the same way we all do.
Nobody will ever forget when whites owned slaves. This law provided, that no biracial couples could get married, and even a white and colored couple is seen as completely wrong. Yet our same government, who after many years of racism towards innocent people inverted the law, is now going to make gays and lesbians slaves of love. They now have to work and fight for love. Just as colored people are born colored, gays and lesbians are born loving people of the same gender. And you are going to PUNISH them for it? You are going to force them to work for love? Love should be free. It is a feeling of happiness, which just like our past, our government is going to take away from innocent people.
Now, I know there are people out there who I am sure if they weren't religious may think differently. To begin, I am not religious. In saying this, I don't mean to offend any such religion. However everything I say following this is based off of WHAT RELIGIOUS PEOPLE HAVE SAID AND TAUGHT ME! Religion has taught me that those who don't believe in God will go to Hell. Those who are born Atheist will not get into Heaven. What this is saying, is unless we convert over to your views, we deserve to die and suffer forever. Many people are BORN not believing, because the ones who raised them don't. That isn't our fault. Just like it isn't the fault of humans to be born Gay or Straight. Yet you want them to all convert to being straight. If God did create everyone on Earth today, why did he create people that don't believe in him, and then send them to Hell because of it? AND if God created everyone on Earth, why would he create Gays and Lesbians if he didn't like them and wanted you to hate them to? I'm sorry to all religions who believe in God, but if your God created people who don't believe in him, and then punished them in Hell or whatnot for things “HE CREATED HIMSELF”, then your God is a sick minded, sadomasochist. In this way, religion is flawed. If God “creates everyone perfect”, then Gays and Lesbians are perfect too. And for those of you who believe that being Gay or Lesbian is a choice; God DID create the brain that made that choice, which was obviously different from yours but is STILL, PERFECT! From what I hear, God is forgiving. And I hope this is true, since he created people who YOUR Bible says are “unfit” for society. And if God is so forgiving, maybe you should be to, since you are his followers. All in all, after all this has been said, if this is what your religion really is, then I will never follow it. An I HOPE I burn in Hell. I'd rather burn in Hell than hurt the lives of innocent people.
As I said before, I am not religious. I do not have ANY hateful views towards any religions. What I have just written, is a rant towards all the people who have told me that all Gays and Lesbians will go to Hell or be punished in some way unless they change sides, then saying that God creates everyone perfect. Gays and Lesbians are born this way, such as colored people are born colored, blue eyed people are born blue eyed, and red haired people are born with red hair. It's not something you can really change, just cover up with makeup and contacts and hair dye.
By saying this, Gays and Lesbians are born this way. They can't change it. They can just cover it up. By being silent. By hiding themselves and their feelings from the world. We once saw colored people in the same way. We once saw colored people as those who will contaminate the world and bring us down. But we rarely see these views anymore. So why would we begin again hating another innocent people for the way they were created?
