Some help would be appreciated

Lately I've been wanting to try and draw more but I just haven't been able to get past my worst enemy, that being my own ADHD.
I started a program to learn a couple months ago with a friend, but we stopped after they lost interest.
I've been thinking about it a lot lately but I can't seem to get myself to start again. Any tips would be appreciated, either for getting my ADHD to behave, for getting better at drawing, or any other advice.

New toy to play with
Posted a year agoSome good news today, but first I'd like to pay my tributes to Dragoneer for helping guide me on my furry journey all those years back. You will be missed dearly, thank you for your work on this site.
With that out of the way, a friend sent me a SEGA Genesis, which arrived in the mail today. Needed to hook it up to an HDMI to A//V converter, but with some fiddling I was able to get everything running well.
In addition, my brother found a bootleg cartridge for sale on Amazon with 1200 games on it, so I'm looking forward to that as well.
All in all, today has been a good day. The fact that I have a real, working Genesis reminded me of how I wanted a huge collection of games in shelves that YouTubers like JonTron and ProJared have when I was a kid.

Another year, another birthday

So, another year has passed, and I'm still doing good. I've been applying for jobs around town since I have neither a car nor license, but not much luck.
I did get a few books on drawing for my birthday, so maybe I'll post some visual art sometime? Who knows.
So yeah, not much going on, just figured I'd update you all.

Horrible timing for a PC failure
Posted 2 years agoEarlier today, a friend of mine on Discord was getting me started in drawing (he said I was doing extremely well for my first time!), but as I moved my external keyboard off my laptop, I noticed a HUGE bulge in the casing.
So yeah, gotta wait a few weeks to get it in the shop, and then probably a few more weeks to get it back.
Will keep you updated, hopefully the damage isn't too bad and I can get back into drawing.
EDIT: I've removed the battery and got a desk to work at, so I can continue working. Hooray!
EDIT 2: Well, a few days ago my laptop stopped charging, so I gotta wait until I can fix it. Fuck.
So yeah, gotta wait a few weeks to get it in the shop, and then probably a few more weeks to get it back.
Will keep you updated, hopefully the damage isn't too bad and I can get back into drawing.

Posted 4 years agoToday marks 1 year since my family arrived in Barstow, and I'm honestly surprised how short it feels like it was. I'm just glad we're safe with a roof over our heads, safe places to sleep, and reliable enough income for food. I cannot relay the absolute HELL it was being homeless, and I'm glad that we can push that part of our lives away.
Here's to hoping everyone has a wonderful holiday season.

Things have been going pretty good since I got into my new home, and I have to say being in an apartment in Barstow sure beats being on the street in San Bernardino.
Still, I must say that the first Thanksgiving I spent homeless was the best, mostly because people were just so kind.
That's pretty much it, Happy Turkey Day!

Yes, I said WAS.
Every single day was uncertain. My family had no idea whether we would have food, keep our car running, or be allowed to stay where we were.
But that's over now.
The people at Step-up have got us moved into an apartment in Barstow, and things have been SO GOOD.
I have no internet at the moment, I just managed to pick up a stray Wi-Fi signal.
So, maybe I could muster up a story to post.

Surprise surprise, I am not dead. I just haven't been able to upload my stories. I have a couple that I've been meaning to post, but for whatever reason, my tablet just doesn't want to upload. When I'm able to afford a new one, I'll (hopefully) be able to upload them.
Other than that, things have gotten better. My family's been working with Step-Up to find us a place, get me my GED, and get me a job somewhere, so they've put us in a motel for the past two weeks. It's been so long since I slept in a bed.
Alright, that's about it for now, just wanted to let you guys in on what's been happening. I'll hopefully get to post something sooner or later.

Tragedy Strikes

Something terrible has happened.
My dad, aged 58, has died. My family is distraught.
He was one of my two sources of income, the other is my mother's retirement checks.
As a result, i probably won't be upload anything in the near future. I'm terribly sorry for the news.
Rest in peace, Ward Beecher McCreery II.

A lot of things I have no control over have been happening lately.
First off, I lost everything my family had put into storage after becoming homeless, so, that basically means everything. I can only hope I'll be able to retrieve the container of my grandmother's ashes.
Second, I rarely have enough time to write, between the few hours of sleep, driving from building to building, begging for gas money, viewing housing options, and legal stuff. By the time the day's over, I either sleep in my car with my family, or (if I'm lucky) sleep in a motel. It sucks.
Due to this, and several other factors, I have been very stressed. I'm lucky I have access to the internet at the moment. Unfortunately, I have been unable to finish my stories. I can start them fine, but I write some and stop, before starting another story I can't finish.
I'm very sorry for the lack of stories recently, and I promise I will upload more stories as soon as they are finished and proofread.

About my upload schedule

I upload stories as I finish them. This means that if I'm having trouble in my life (which I often am), I may not be able to upload any stories, whether it's due to not enough time, or no internet access.
