Story Snippet: Intense Research! (18+ Story)
General | Posted a year agoIntense Research is an 18+ story that features a himbo vampire with frat boy energy being interviewed a feline journalism student whose curiousity gets the better of him.
This story will be released on Voice of Dog, during the Ghost of Dog installments. However, I am feeling generous and low on any blog ideas. So I figured, why not give out a sneak peek of the story?
Please enjoy this excerpt of Intense Research!
Nigel flipped through the various pages of his notebook, looking at the quesitons he’d written again. He already felt weird enough reaching out to a complete stranger, especially a vampire; he could only imagine how much weirder it would get when the vampire was sitting across from him enduring all of his silly questions.
His mind began to wander a bit. He was so nervous about how everything was going to go. Was he in danger? Were vampires really just like the movies?
He lifted his gaze to the empty seat across from him. However, it was now occupied by a handsome wolf with dark fur. His fangs were visible as he smiled hungrily at the feline. “Forget these silly questions,”
He stood, towering over Nigel and causing a chill to run down his spine. “I can show you what it means to be a vampire.” His eyes were wide with sadistic glee.
Nigel shook his head hard, squeezing his eyes shut. “No!”
“No what?” A smooth, sultry voice made his ears perk up. Nigel’s eyes opened, and suddenly a vixen, dressed in an almost see-through red dress, was leaning forward in the seat across from him. “There’s nothing to be scared of here, kitten.” Her muzzle parted as she licked her lips. Her fangs peeked out from between her enticing smile.
Nigel’s cheeks felt hot as he pressed his legs together to keep his body from betraying him. “What’s going on?”
She reached out a paw and held his chin, keeping his gaze on her. “You’re just curious. But I can help you with that.”
Nigel nervously swallowed and tried to tear his gaze away, “I-I don’t think this is how it’s supposed to go.” As he moved his head, the vixen’s paw was gone.
“Maybe it’ll be more like this.”
He turned his gaze back to the chair across from him and saw a white furred belly peek out from under a pink crop top. He was also wearing a pair of tight short-shorts. As he looked up the folfsky’s body, he noticed that his blue fur seemed to shimmer under the flickering light. His arms were up and his hands were folded behind his head, in what Nigel assumed was supposed to be a sexy pose. Which it kind of was… but there was a lot of sparkling coming off the blue canine’s flesh.
“Don’t worry, I won’t hurt you.” The folfsky purred as he gazed down at Nigel. “I’m a vegetarian. The only meat I’m after is the one between your legs.”
Nigel curled his paws into fists and squeezed his eyes shut. He needed to focus. This “Chad” could be here at any moment. And he was fantasizing about some of the ways this interview could so wrong… if he could even call it fantasizing.
He slammed one of his paws on the table and looked across from him.
The seat was empty, of course. Nigel’d always had a bit of an over-active imagination. He’d be fine. At least he hoped he’d be fine.
He picked up his blueberry coffee and took a sip, trying to relax his nerves. He was safe, and in a public place. His phone was in his pocket, and he had shared his location with at least three of friends. He was going to be okay.
The door to the coffee shop opened, drawing Nigel’s attention. A tall hooded figure walked through the door, most of their definable features were hidden. All Nigel could see is that they were wearing baggy gray sweatpants and a gray hoodie.
Nigel watched them walk up to the counter and talk to Leo, who was behind the bar.
Nigel looked away and back to his notebook so it wouldn’t seem like he was staring. Could this be “Chad?” He had nothing to identify the vampire with besides some stereotypes.
The hoodie seemed like a pretty good indicator. It was still a bit sunny outside despite it being around four in the afternoon. Maybe he could mark the sensitivity to sunlight as a real vampire trait. He turned to the page in his spiral that was labeled Notes and fished a pencil out of his bag.
As he was about to start writing, the flickering light above was slowly blocked out by a looming shadow.
Nigel’s pencil stopped moving and his gaze slowly moved to the source of the shadow.
The hooded figure stood next to his table, the inside of their hood shrouded in even more shadow. Nigel squinted as he stared up into the hood. He could make out the lines of a muzzle, possibly canine?
The figure removed big, gloved paws from their pocket and lifted them to the hood.
Nigel watched as the hood was pulled down to reveal the chestnut brown fur of a German Sheppard head.
“Tsup!” The canine smiled down at him.
Nigel blinked, “Hi…” He tilted his head. “Um… Are you—”
“The Ultimate Chad?” He chuckled and lifted up the back of his hoodie so his tail could be free. “Yeah. And I am assuming you’re the lucky journalism student?”
“Nigel.” He stood to his feet and offered his paw for a handshake.
Chad looked Nigel up and down, “Look at you. You’re fun-sized, aren’t you!” His tail wagged. He took Nigel’s paw, closed it into a fist, then offered his own. “Pound it, lil man!”
Nigel awkwardly looked at the fist, then pushed it against the canine’s. “Okay?”
Chad grinned, making his fist explode with sound effects. “Noice!”
Nigel chuckled nervously, “You’ve got some interesting energy.” He sat back down.
“What can I say, man,” Chad pulled out the chair across from Nigel and plopped down into it. “Never been interviewed before. I am kinda psyched!” He slouched in the chair. “So, like, how are we doing this?”
Nigel shifted in his seat and flipped to the first page of his spiral notebook. “Well, this interview is for my journalism class, and—”
“Aw, sick!” Chad sat up a little more straight. “You working to be the next Lois Lane?” His ears dropped and he tilted his head in confusion, then his shoulders tensed up. “Aw shit. Wait, I never asked for your pronouns. Sorry, lil dude.”
“Oh. Um, it’s cool. I go by he/him.”
“Same, man.” He relaxed. “Sorry. I just like making sure I refer to everyone the correct way. That way I can affirm who they are and help em feel super comfortable around me.”
“How kind of you.” Nigel bit his lip. This guy was kind of a silly oaf. Real frat boy energy. He really hoped that this guy would be able to take this seriously. He needed to get a good grade on this assignment.
He looked across the table, meeting the neutral gaze of the German Sheppard across from him. His inquisitive gaze startled Nigel. “Wh-What? Do I have something on my face?”
Chad shook his head. “Oh, naw. You just never finished what you were saying before. About your paper.”
Huh. Chad was bringing him back on track. Maybe this interview was going to go well after all. “Oh! Yeah!” Nigel smiled at Chad, then took another sip of his drink. “So… I am just going to ask you a few questions about like… being a vampire and all that.”
“Oh, shit.” Chad sat up, the corners of his muzzle quirking down into a frown. “I’m not a vampire though.”
Nigel’s eyes widened and he could feel his heart drop into his stomach. “What?” He spoke with a soft growl lacing his words. “What do you mean you’re not?”
Chad’s muzzle broke into a smile. “I’m just fucking with you! Gosh, loosen up a little.” He smirked at Nigel. “You’re way too tense. Just relax, and let’s have some fun with this.. Kay?”
Nigel let out a sigh of relief. He was a bit tightly wound up about this project. If this guy could sense his tension, maybe he needed to let some of the tension go. “I’m sorry. I am just nervous. This class is part of my degree and I just… need to do as perfect of a job as I can.”
“Are you tryin to impress me?” Chad rested his arms on the table.
“Because you’re already doing a pretty good job at that. You look really professional.”
Nigel looked away. “I-I am just dressing the part.” He couldn’t help but smile. That was really sweet of him. “But if we could go ahead and start?”
“Yeah, of course.” Chad rested his chin on his paw.
“Let’s start with an easy one.” Nigel clicked his pencil and smiled at Chad. “Why don’t you tell me about yourself.”
Wowie! Wasn’t that a fun read? Do you want to hear/read more of the story? Well, you’re in luck!

Re-Introducing myself to FA!
General | Posted a year agoHello, you bunch of furries!
I am not very active on this site. This is obvious from the lack of posts and overall life of this FA page! But it's okay! It's something new that I can totally figure out eventually!
So, as a kind of refresher, it's only right that I reintroduce myself.
My name is Scribbles Chee. I also go by other names that can be found on some of my links! I am twenty-six years old and have been a furry for about eleven years. I am pansexual and non-binary (they/them pronouns preferred, but others are okay too.)
I am a published author, contracted editor with Fenris Publishing, and the Furry Writers Guild Market Manager. In my time as a furry writer, I have published one YA novel (The Phantom Janitor) and several short stories. As far as how many short stories exactly, the number is currently five. But before the end of this year, I'll have four more to add to the list. And more are on the way!
Outside of my writing, I love baking and cooking. My favorite things to bake are apple pies and cookies. Last month, I made seven batches of cookies to bring to friends at Megaplex, and it was one of the most relaxing experiences. I also really like scary movies, which is an interest that is sometimes explored in my writing.
I'll try to be better about posting things on here, but no promises! I will however be sharing my latest blog post on here.
Okay! ^-^ Wowie! That was pretty fun!
Hope to talk again soon!

Hi!
General | Posted 7 years agoHello everyone! Welcome to my FA account. If you found this page, cool beans! Was it by accident or like... O.O
Anyway, I am a writer and I love to share things about my writing with people. I am a published novelist with one book out called Phantom Janitor, and a short story in Thurston Howl Publication's Slasher anthology called Nightmare at Elmwood College.
I write tons of other stories and might post elements about or from some of the stories that I write, so if you follow me on here you will get to see that. I am not going to post too many of these because as it might be rather evident, I am not the best at summaries of profiles. O.O
THANKS... OKAY BYE.
