I really don't like Christmas that much TO BE HONEST. I mean, I hate shopping, I hate spending money! I don't like getting gifts because I feel guilty about it! The con itself and everyone around me was great! But unfortunately, I've been stressing out about a lot of real life stuff, and eventually it comes to a point where I have trouble shaking these things to have a good time. I didn't really let loose until saturday night or sunday even, and I found myself irritated and angry a lot in the beginning. I'm sure a lot of you are stressing out also, but I've always been one to harp constantly about these things and over think them to death until they are solved. Usually, the thinking process just has me running around in circles in my brain and I don't come up with any solutions until I'm a razzled mess! So, I'm getting pretty close to "razzled mess" at this point, I wasn't really myself at this con! It was no good.

Basically, I need to get my life together before I go to any more cons, or at least semi together. I feel like a lifetime of stressing out and making bad decisions has caught up with me! The things I wanted to do with my life just seem unattainable now, i fucked everything up! Maybe that's not true and I'm over-reacting, but that is my mindset right now and I can't have fun at a con while I'm thinking that. My next con would be FWA anyway, which is four months away. If I don't get things together by then, I might as well just give up and start busking in fursuit with my accordion. I'd have to practice though because my accordion playing is sooo damn rusty.

AC was a lot of fun!!! There were SOOOO many people and each year i know more people so it was hard to hang out with everyone. There was one point where i couldn't walk like, 20 feet without someone coming up to me and saying hi! It was crazy!

I had a budget at this con and I managed to come in way under it. Unfortunately the only thing I purchased was the RuffTrade comic book (which I make a cameo in Via  hottapwater I also couldn't eat the whole con, which happens to me a lot at cons but this time was definitely the worst. I think I spent like, 45 dollars on food the entire time. (I couldn't eat the whole con, it was too many people. )


SOME THINGS:

1. Dressed as a flasher with a trench coat during the parade. I wasn't sure how this would go over, or if people would know what I was doing, but the reactions were pretty great. Most people I flashed screamed in horror!

2. Playing with LOOK LEFT, a lot of people showed up despite it being Sunday morning. I was sort of apprehensive about playing in a band since my previous 10 year band just had a really dramatic break-up which I'm still disgruntled over, not to mention I am sick of playing in bands in general. But playing with Look Left was a completely different experience. I've never been in a band before where all the musicians are EXTREMELY good at what they do and super into being in a band! On top of that, we had a minimal amount of equipment as opposed to my previous band that had 6 members. And people actually liked us, like there were people in the audience? And I got money? What the....??? *brain explodes* I fucked up on some songs, but it was still fun.

3. Me and Pepper tried out for the masquerade with an accordion/singing duo. We didn't make it in. I know, I KNOW. I know. No, believe me, I know. They told us that the accordion and the vocals sounded really bad on the sound system. Whatever, it's all good, I just walked around and entertained people with the accordion. And didn't get told to stop by the con chair (cough *fcn* cough)

4. Participated in Duke's Video, showed a bunch of people the dance moves. I don't know how I even learned them, but I did! That was a lot of fun. Can't wait to see the result, Revit's videos are always amazing.

6. I Didn't do the dance comp, instead I just watched it this time! Way less stress to just watch! I also watched the floor wars this year for the first time, WOW. Super inspiring! So many styles of dance coming together! Such disregard for everyone's own safety! Maybe I'll do it next year.

7. I did Karaoke In Fursuit with  peppercoyote , which is something I've been wanting to do for a while. I did it at Furfright last year, but this time it was in front of a HUGE Amount of nonfurs at a bar down the street which i forget the name of. I picked "Africa" by Toto, which is a song I know all the words to already so i didn't really have to look at the screen. As soon as the song came up people went nuts, it was really fun but I'm not sure how people reacted towards my terrible voice. I think they were confused. Also following pepper wasn't the best idea, they probably expected all fursuiters to be able to sing well.

Next year I'll probably do the dance comp again and hopefully do karaoke, we'll see!

Good things:
1. Thank you to everyone who came to Tilt and I's movie premier! We completely filled the room and it was great to here all the laughter in person! Awesome ! And if you happened to miss it, I'll be streaming it probably some time next week once i figure out how to use these stupid stream websites.

2. Here's my dance comp movie if you want to watch it. I was completely unprepared, basically did the same shit as FWA but more silly. I thought FCN would be a low key sort of dance competition, but when I walked into the room to dance, THERE WERE SOOOO MANY people in that room! It was packed!

4. FCN is just really fun, I don't even know why.

5. Played the open mic with Pepper singing and me on accordion! it went over pretty well, even though there was no microphone. Then a bunch of comedians went on after us and they were actually really funny! I had to leave because someone was talking about biting, which grosses me out a lot, I almost passed out. (Did you know biting grosses me out? Yeah, I don't get it either)

6. Felt great when I got home. That's my favorite thing about cons, I always come back feeling renewed!

7. Tilt is a great room mate, he brought healthy snacks!!!!!!!!!! LIKE v8's that saved me from hangovers every day!

Bad things:
1. Got told by the Con chair I couldn't play accordion in the con space at 5pm on a friday because of noise violation something something. This has never happened to me before at a con, I was kind of floored.

2. The food in the con suite just always sucks. It's all white bread and meat and garbage snacks. Luckily I drank enough beer to make up for the lack of food I ate. I think I also ate 70 dollars worth of carrots, olives, and raw broccoli.

that's really it. I did a lot of drunk things I don't remember. Sorry if i called you a wanker, punched you, or threw your pikachu stuffed animal onto the ground.

It was great. I had a great time. I feel completely refreshed and my brain is still at the con. So many people came up to me and knew who i was, said they liked my dancing/fursuiting/art/videos/ what have you! It feels great to know people enjoy what I do! I don't know even know what to say, it's indescribababble.

The hotel was a little overwhelming, but the view in my room was soo good I can't even really complain. I was on the 48th floor out of 72, at one point I decided to walk up the stairs to my floor to see if I could do it (with  ante bravely coming with me!) We got to about 35 or so and had to take a break and start again. I was winded but it actually felt pretty good.

Can't relax at cons enough to draw! I always want to fursuit. But i got awesome art from  dogteeth and  cubetriangle that i have to scan in. Fuck, everyone was great! I ate really good the whole time, this new hotel was right across the street from a mall that has all this great food. I got indian food, bean/falafel wraps, cous cous, salads. Amazing! Eating healthy always makes for a better con. This is the first con where I could successfully eat full meals too! Usually my nerves are out of whack, I'm never hungry and I can barely eat.

I got into the dance competition, which is always a nice surprise! Especially since FWA started the dance competitions. I rocked kneepads this time so my knees don't get nappy as fuck when I slide around like an oil-squirrel. (they kind of already are) It's admittedly a weird look though.

Everyone in the dance comp was sooooooooooo good, I just stood there overwhelmed the whole time watching everyone dance like "How did I end up here?" Definitely the most people I've ever had cheering for me at one time. The Emcee said something to me at the end and I answered with "huh?" because I had no idea what he said. I'm really glad to be a part of this dancing thing, it's really changed the way I look at music in general and it's fucking fun as hell! I think one thing people get from these dance competitions is how fun it actually is, and it seems to be influencing a lot of people to try dancing themselves. Which is great! I mean, we're all wearing these animal mascot costumes, we should try to be as entertaining as possible, right?
