Pardon my dust
General | Posted 3 years agoI haven't used this site in quite a long while now, lordy.
I'm going to clean it up, add some of the artwork I've gotten over the years, update things a bit.
A lot has changed in half a decade.
I've lost some very important people and they will be missed.
I've gained and lost friends. Learned a lot and taken up some new skills and hobbies, (miniature painting and the accordion 🪗) and have overall just been through a lot, good and bad.
I've neglected my writing (or uploading it) for a hot minute now and that's going to change.
More than anything I'm looking to move forward and make the most of the time I have on this earth, regardless of the challenges presented to me.
Here's to hoping.

Do you like comics?
General | Posted 9 years agoI know I do.
Reading and collecting both comics and novels is by far one of my favorite pastimes, as my bloated bookshelves will attest. After reading as much as I have though, I've kind of gotten a little picky. If something catches my eye I'll gladly give it an honest chance, but if the plot, characters, or general writing aren't doing it for me, I'll drop it like a sack of hot rocks. I feel I've read enough masterfully crafted stories and enough crapfests to have a decent critical eye.
So, whilst looking for something new to read a few weeks ago, I happened to stumble across a comic here on FA called False Start, by
boneitis. I promptly powered through it, and hoo boy, is it aptly titled. It's certainly not the kind of story I'd want to spoil, but it has a fantastic cast of characters, a very twisty-turny plot, and excellent art, most of which is meticulously hand-drawn. Oh, and quite possibly one of the best villains I've had the pleasure of reading in a comic in some time, and that's saying something.
I think
boneitis is some kind of monster or something though because it updates very regularly despite things like regularly taking on commissions, attending cons, streaming, working on another comic alongside this one, AND suffering from Lyme disease. I guess that's okay though. I like monsters, and this one is very dedicated. Much respect.
I guess what I'm trying to say is if you like comics, bad guys, and general weirdness, then you should check it out. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7966557
