So pretty much all week I was working 14-16hr shifts at work due to inventory, but now I'm finally able to breathe since its over. First day I spent all day cleaning since I ignored housework for a week, second day my mate took me out of the house on a nice date to see new mario/go to dinner, and today i'm trying to figure out what I'll be doing. Tomorrow starts back up the work cycle. I'd like to get some art done but my husband also wants me to game with him. haha *dies*

I love my life but sometimes it feels like I'm being pulled every which way. lol How dare people wanna spend time with me!!! j/k
I'll be able to get some art finished regardless this week, especially since all the replacement parts for my tablet came in. ( a cat assassinated my drawing tablet)

Hope everyone had a good holiday season :) I was busy with work so didn't notice I still had my haitus journal up haha.....

I admit, work was -a- cause of me not posting. I took on a job I thought would allow me more free time but it ended up being the opposite! Buuuuuuut there was also the fact that I was dealing with really bad post-partum/survivors guilt/etc over the loss of our child in 2019 and then the loss of our next child. A lot of therapy and self-care later and I'm finally doing better.

I'm still really busy, but I may post art from time to time. Sorry for the poof, I was mainly active on discord and not on any art sites. :<

Sorry for being gone, just been a rough few years for everyone I imagine.

I am going to try to keep this rant short, but I know that may not be the way it happens. I know a lot of you have noticed that I haven't been posting much art and have rightfully assumed it was due to work and becoming pregnant.

And while that has played a small part of it, it isn't what truly quenched my desires. There has been a lot of back and forth drama between my online friends for over a year now. I have tried to remain (and will still try to remain) a neutral party. I care about all people involved- but even I have breaking limits. I got a job in part to get out of the house so I didn't have to sit and dwell on this drama and to more reliably assist my mate in the monthly financials, because my desire to remain in the fandom was seriously waning. Therefore I didn't want to take commissions from anyone that wasn't a close friend.

I don't like picking sides, I don't enjoy having to choose between people I care about. I do not enjoy recieving messages asking me to kick people or ultimatums that they will leave.

Like, I don't know what to say to people online anymore, my trust over the past year has been severely fractured and I am trying my best to patch myself up and keep smiling. I don't want to stop drawing- it's been my passion since I was a girl. But this whole thing has left me cold and without that passion I haven't even been in my office to work for more than an hour a week. I do quick doodles on my lunch break at work...but that is just to keep up my skill because otherwise I know I will regret it.

My mate has been trying to get me back into it, even built me this elaborate desk and gave me the spare room for an office. He has truly been very wonderful and supportive.


Despite all this ranting, I just want people to know that I am not mad. I am just, extremely sad. Hurt. Tired. Drained. I am 34 years old and I am going to be a mother for the first time before the end of the year. I am too old to pick sides or weigh influence on people- I can't change anyone's mind if they want to talk to someone or not. I will talk to people, I will talk to all parties. I will do it because I don't hate either sides and don't believe any of them is a bad person. However, I may not be as talkative when certain topics come up nor resposive. I am tired of it. I want to move on. I want to enjoy my art again and my art life. I don't want to have to worry about stepping on toes or communicating with individuals. I just want to find myself again.

My plan is to overcome these feelings and start making time to draw again and not just come home and sleep. Eventually I would like to stream again, even that I stopped for fear of having a discussion on weather or not someone should be allowed to participate.

I apologize to the new watchers that this is the first journal you see since watching me. I also apologize for disabling comments, but despite everything this isnt a pity me journal. It's just a statement of intentions and hope. Fuedes hurt more people than realized.

Now I have to go be an adult and call about getting our dishwasher repaired...since that's a thing lol.

Thank you for still watching me and remaining despite my inactivity. I hope I can overcome it and continue my passion for digital art in the near future.

We are pregnant! I am nearly to my second trimester but everything is looking great so far!!! If you have known me at all over the years you then know how happy/excited we are about this! We have been trying to have a kid for nearly 10 years.

We are not concerned with gender and we plan on making the baby room eventually with a dinosaur/jungle theme. X3

I am super excited and I know kel is too! I will be cutting hours back at work before long to kinda prep the house and do needed repairs.

I still check FA everyday or every other day, but I have been a bit quiet while I awaited my new computer to come in and...more accurately because I've been busy with work and when I come home I have been trying to get other projects done e_e Right now I'm making sure I have current backups to my external HDs so that all the artwork that I have been working on is nice and saved. XD

I'm not open for commissions except through the couple arrangements I have with friends as I'm working on getting better so doing a lot of sketch/study work when I'm drawing. >.> Not going to let work keep me from doing art! >:O I'm generally always open for trades though, unless I state otherwise.
