Pretty Much Indefinitely Gone
Posted 7 years agoI'm just putting this up here so anyone who might be curious knows that and why I'm not around anymore.
Life man. It's freaking awesome. I'm engaged, I've got a stellar new full time job that I love and put all my creative energy into, and I'm trying to stay off the computer at home by going out with friends and doing other things I love.
I'm so happy that people liked my work enough to comment and commission me. It really helped me through a portion of my life where I felt unappreciated at work and felt like I wasn't doing much with my creativity. I'll always remember Furaffinity fondly.
I still think about drawing more for my Disney series sometimes, but I can't say if that'll ever happen.
Thanks again everyone. It's been a blast.

New Look!
Posted 9 years agoNot much of a huge difference, but I wanted to rebrand myself. My octopus logo is the one I made for myself in University, and I use it to brand my professional work. Not to say that the pictures I draw and upload here aren't professional, but it's different, yeah? Lol
A persona I've started going by online is SiRReN, and I feel really comfortable under that name. Unfortunately I can't change my username on here, but I didn't want to create a new account and remove everything here just to upload it under the new account. So I thought rebranding myself was the next best thing, so I've got a new watermark! I've updated all my artwork with it, and even uploaded higher resolutions for the Disney artwork.
I got to thinking about this because I recently was commissioned to do a large series of pictures and I wanted to be able to upload it with my new watermark. I'm still waiting for the final confirmation on it, but I should be able to upload the pictures sometime this weekend!
Unfortunately the sensitivity on my tablet is broken, haha, but I used to draw on the computer with my mouse over a decade ago, so it's kind of been like drawing like that again, just a little more precision since the pen itself still works.
My boyfriend and I are going to be looking into getting a Cintiq for Christmas, so I can only imagine how that will improve my artwork going forward. Until then though, I do want to try at least sketching some stuff on my tablet like I promise - WOAH - two months ago.

Posted 9 years agoAnd boy am I sorry for it. It seems like whenever I come online its with excuses! Thankfully, I should be drawing again soon. My brother is moving out, so I'm going to be turning his room into an office space, so I'll have a permanent home for my laptop again and ideally the inspiration to draw. I actually wrote a whole list of things I'd like to draw to continue my Disney series, so I want to sketch some of them out and show you guys.

Posted 10 years agoI just wanted to say thank you to everyone that is still watching me, favouriting my pictures, and even commenting on them! I know I promised to have new stuff at the beginning of this year and I had to go back on that promise.
It's just so much easier lurking, lol, and I go through phases of wanting to draw/wanting to read/wanting to write/wanting to just see what other people are doing.
I'm in a long phase of just enjoying the work of others, especially because it's looking like I'll be illustrating my first children's book soon!
I just wanted to let you all know that I will have art up here again eventually - I'll just need to draw some Disney porn again and it'll go right up here when I do!
Until then, thank you all so much!

Wow it's been a while

Somehow I've gained more watchers, and I feel terrible that it's been a really long time since I've updated. It seems I keep getting more excuses to give in to laziness, but I figure I may as well explain myself.
1) I got a job! I'm a junior designer at a company that creates luggage, backpacks, and other bags. I've been there for three months now, and I'm having a good time. Making money feels good.
2) I have a boyfriend! I spend nearly every weekend with him, either at my place or his, and we tend to watch movies and youtube videos the entire time. I'm also practicing my cooking skills on him and his family, so I'm gaining a good skill there.
3) I'm once again preparing for Anime North. In general I've had a lot of ideas I wanted to draw out - in particular I created a pair of posters for Jojo and Dio from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, and have started portraits of a realistic gangster Mario and Luigi. What free time I have that I feel like drawing, I've been working on those.
4) I'm the webmaster for the website of my mother's business. I'm nearly caught up on all her updates, so hopefully that won't be an issue anymore come a few weeks.
5) I'm lazy as fuck.
Pretty much if I can come up with something else to do, I do. Some of the things I need to do are legitimate. I'm taking over more responsibility at home, so I cook some evenings. I go visiting nearly every weekend, and I work on my mum's website in the evenings, so I've actually had very little spare time.
I've also recently lost interest in DeviantART, and I likely won't be uploading content there anymore. I have a tumblr instead, but I also have been on there very little due to being busy. I do post sketches on there though of things I'm working on.

All that being said, I AM planning on getting back here at some point. Probably in the new year I'll be in a position to draw and upload stuff again. If you want a commission though, do feel free to contact me! I'll always make time for you if there is something you specifically want me to draw.
Thank you to everyone that is watching me, even with my sporadic presence. It cheers me to no end to see that people like my work, and it makes me want to work harder to reach a position that I can make a triumphant return!

Hopefully Getting Back on Track
Posted 11 years agoOkay, so Anime North is done! I no longer have to be preparing for that, so hopefully I'll FINALLY be able to stick to my live stream schedule. If not, I still plan to draw. I'm not sure how much I enjoy live streaming - it makes me feel self-conscious, so I'm thinking about not doing it, but still drawing every Saturday.
We'll see how I feel, but you can definitely expect content soon.

Posted 11 years agoHey everyone! So this weekend is the Toronto Comic Arts Festival, and I find myself already breaking my promise to live stream every Saturday so that I can attend it and buy lots and lots of stuff!
However, fear not! I will be live streaming this Friday to make up for it! I will post a link on Friday as a reminder, so if you have nothing to do during the day, or fancy a small break/diversion at work, come watch me live stream then!

I'm just going to get straight to the point - I'm graduating this year, and to put on my grad show my group of classmates works together to design the brand of the show, the displays our work goes on, and the website that showcases our work. In addition to this we raise money to put on our show - that's right, we pay for it ourselves.
Our budget is $55,000 - we all have to chip in a mandatory $250 of our own cash to pave the way, and with 93 students graduating, we're more than halfway to our goal. In fact, with some of the other fundraising we've done so far, we only have $20,000 to go until we reach our budget.
This is where I need your help. Please, if you could, I would appreciate if you donated money to my grad show.

Final Semester and Commissions
Posted 12 years agoHey ya'll! So you may have noticed I didn't come through on some Disney promises, but I decided to take a well deserved break and gamed all Christmas - which actually worked out for a school project, because I'm designing a video game proposal for my thesis project.
Speaking of thesis projects, this is my final semester! Yep, come June I will be a graduate, and hopefully an employed one, hahah!
I'm currently working on a commission for Sweetfurr223, and I realize that you guys may not know my commission process, so I'm going to make a post but also say it here:
My prices are listed under the commissions tab of my profile. Once the details of the commission is settled and I receive payment, I create three sketches for you to choose from.
When you make your choice (and all the poses remain yours through me, so you can always commission me again with another of the poses, if you like) I do a detailed line art. You see this again, and can finagle some of the details and I'll fix them. Once I do that I begin colouring.
If you just have a flat colour commission, the story ends here. If you have commissioned shading as well, I show you a copy of the flats for your approval and then begin the shading, which can be either cell-shading or smooth shading.
If you are interested in commissioning me, please see my price list or pop me a note and we can talk.

School is Kicking my Ass
Posted 12 years agoHey everyone! I'm sorry for my inactivity lately, but school is kicking my ass. I'm the secretary for my graduating show, as well as being in the final year of my program - so, lots of work.
I have plans during my Christmas break to do 1-2 hours of livestream every day, and to of course continue by Disney pics, as well as draw my fursona, which is stewing about in my mind. I'm just afraid to say that until my winter holidays, I won't be submitting much of anything on here, but I of course see every watch, every favourite, and every comment.
I want to thank everyone that is favouriting my work and watching me! You really make me strive to work hard this semester so I can be proud of myself as I then work hard to do some awesome work to post on here! I'll also be opening commissions during my Christmas break (though if you want one now, I can of course be persuaded, haha), so please, keep your eyes on me!
