Well a lot of things happenes the last year. I had a lot of happy moments and some sad too.

I started the 2017 attending to @furrnion, the first furry convention in Spain as part of a bigger surpise that I was planning for blaya.
In late 2016 I ordered two fursuits by the amazing yoshiwinter to be done just before I got to the convention. By then I ploted with a lot of the organization staff to surprise that fat bitch (@blaya :3) and I wasn't dissapointed.
One of his friends and I arrived dressing my suit and his and when he saw us didn't spoken for at least 1 hour trying to catch up with what was going on.
Everything ran smoothly and the suits are fantastic <3.
The convention was really nice: I meet a lot of new people, people that aparently knew me too from my pictures over here (yeah my little "popufur" moment hahaha), and everyone was really nice and kind.

Finally after many years in a relationship that seemed to be stuck with (@blaya) we decided to split our ways apart. Sadly the relationship didn't grow anymore and was hurting us. But still, I consideer us lucky because we managed it and still we're friend.

I also bought a piece of land to start building my house. Luclkly enough didn't had to take a loan or something similar so now I'm the owner of something. There were a few hard months with the money (also thats why I didn't got new pictures or wasn't active over here) but now everything is much better.

My frienship with yoshiwinter grow every month since I comissioned her the suits at big steps. Right now we're in a relationship.
We didn't expected it at all, it simply happened, but i'm really glad it did.

With yoshiwinter moved to our ouwn place to have our privacy and to grow as people. It's small and it's rented...but it's something where we can share moments.

In general the year was good. It had a lot of changes, changes for good.

Bueno, pasaron muchas cosas el año pasado. Tuve muchos momentos felices y algunos también tristes.

Empecé el 2017 asistiendo a la @furrnion, la primer convención furry en España como parte de una gran sorpresa que estaba planeando para blaya.
A finales de 2016, pedí dos fursuits por la increíble yoshiwinter para que los hiciera justo antes de llegar a la convención. Para entonces plenee mucho con el personal de la organización para sorprender a esa perra gorda (@blaya: 3) y no me decepcionó.
Uno de sus amigos y yo llegamos vistiendo mi traje y el suyo y cyuando él nos vio no habló durante al menos 1 hora tratando de ponerse al día con lo que estaba pasando.
Todo transcurrió sin problemas y los trajes son fantásticos <3.
La convención fue realmente agradable: conocí a muchas personas nuevas, personas que aparentemente también me conocían por mis imagenes de aquí (sí, mi pequeño momento "popufur" jajaja), y todos fueron muy buenos y amables.

Finalmente, después de muchos años en una relación que parecía estar trabada con (@blaya), decidimos separar nuestros caminos. Lamentablemente, la relación ya no crecía y nos estaba lastimando. Pero aún así, nos considero afortunados por lo que logramos y que aún somos amigos.

También compré un pedazo de tierra para comenzar a construir mi casa. Menos mal que no tuve que pedir un préstamo o algo similar, así que ahora soy el dueño de algo. Hubo algunos meses difíciles con el dinero (también es por eso que no obtuve nuevas fotos o no estuve activo aquí) pero ahora todo está mucho mejor.

Mi amistad con yoshiwinter crece cada mes desde que le encargué los trajes en grandes pasos. En este momento estamos en una relación.
No lo esperábamos en absoluto, simplemente sucedió, pero realmente soy feliz que sucedio.

Con yoshiwinter nos mudamos a nuestro lugar para tener nuestra privacidad y crecer como personas. Es pequeño y se alquila ... pero es algo en lo que podemos compartir momentos.

En general, el año fue bueno. Tuvo muchos cambios, cambios para bien.

Lately I've been doing things that never did before, like going to furmeets or little conventions (anime ;w;, there is no furry conventions here)...basically...going out and meet people. Which is consuming my weekend free time but never was so happy before...so its ok, it feels good :)

In the meanwhile I've created a facebook page because facebook deleted my account -_-, even i never uploaded porn or anything like that there.

Yeah I'm alive. Haven't uploaded anything lately but have near 50 pics to upload so...yeah.

So in other news... My kitten has cancer on his nose. Some of you may know already from a twitter status from a month ago or so.

He has been with medication to make his life as easier and comfortable possible since the surgery is not 100% reliable. Also he has 16 years already so...the surgery could leave him more weaker than he already is and pass away earlier.

Also tomorrow I'm traveling to Spain to meet blaya and go to Rome, Italy and Athens, Greek :)

Haven't see each other since 2013 so we're pretty exited. Plus his mom loves to feed me <3 (true story) :P

I've seen a lot of artist retweeting the same picture over an over again saying that their prices were low and blah blah blah.

And I get it. Everyone want a far payment for their job.

But the fandom is not an industry at all. I'm not saying that artist are not allowed to charge what ever they want for their job. I'm just saying that commissioners can't pay what artist want to get.

If you're an artist and want to charge 700 usd to 2000 usd go ahead but maybe the fandom is not the right target and you'll not get as much commissions you want or none at all. Unless you're a high tier artist and have a reputation.

Also let's talk about the differences between an Industry Artist and a Fandom Artist.

What you could expect from an Industry Artist:

High resolution files
.pdf, .sai or .ai files or what ever you're paying for.

In the near 200 pictures I've commissioned over the years only 2 or 3 artists delivered high resolution pictures. Tough none of them the original files.

Be The Copyright Holder
Basically you end owning the art. Which allows you to use whenever you want to whatever you wants and yes, its how things work. I as a software developer If a person contracts me to do a shopping cart I don't get paid for every sale they do. I get paid for my job which is program the shopping cart and nothing more.

"Hey but that is software not a picture!" Digital art is not software too? Bytes less bytes more, in the end its something digital.

And I'm pretty sure that if I want to sell copies of the art I commissioned more than on artist will come knocking at my door pissed or at least asking for a share of the bounty.

What you can expect from Fandom Artists:

Broken Timelines
Several times I got my art due the timeline. Even when the artist itself put the timeline in first place.

Event waited 3+ years for a sketch.

Ignore Contact
A few months ago commissioned an artist that was needing to pay the rent so was in a rush offering slots. I got the art the same day but it needed only one change, a minor change. So i requested the change via note, all the communication was that way, but never got a reply. A few months later contacted again and still never got the reply but all notes appeared as read.

Quality Change
It happened with two artist that advertised a quality and got something that doesn't look at all like it was done by them. And when you try to talk to them about that they reply that is the same quality they always offer when clearly its not.

Price Changes
Oh this one is amazing. Commissioned an artist a few years ago at lets say $35 usd, he delayed 8 months to contact me back asking for details for the commission and show the sketch. In the meantime of those 8 month he updated and raised his prices. And intended to deliver an ink instead a full color because his prices changed. Tough I've paid before the change.

Scams
Yep. Wiped galleries disabled userpages. No answers to emails, notes, skype, whatever. You get it right? Happened to me four times already. Never saw my money again.

And at this point I got tired of writing but you get the idea :D

Resuming: You as an artist have obligations too as the commissioner does. If you think you deserve raise your prices you've to prove that your art and your hard work worth it. Also you can expect that you'll not get as much commissioners as before.

And remember! The fandom is a low budget industry.

PD: I might be wrong and my way of thinking, but I think I had enough experience with artist to know pretty well what I can expect. You can take your own conclusions.

Le news!

Well yesterday got a great notice from my boss. I was getting a raise of 20%! It usually is 10% at the start of the year and 10% at the middle. So in general this year I'm getting 30% increase :) Hope more! :D

Wich makes me really happy because well...more money more mewstuff and less economic pressure :)

Perfect for my trip in May.

I simply can't stand at "friends" that want to be closer. I mean sure! But show your intentions with actions not with meaningless words.

I'm more than happy when I heard that and more than disappointed when I'm doing the whole effort to get closer because suddenly they don't have time even to chat. But oh yes, they have time to talk to others!

For more closer I try to get more a step aside took to. I've emotions and feelings to, and they get hurt when I expect the same retribution and don't get it.

Le Rant!

Some of you already know tat I'll be doing a trip to Spain and Italy. If you want to know me fine, we can arrange something if its closer. But for the god sake, don't expect to me to go to visit you when i'm doing a trip of 10000km to Europe.

If you cant take a train or a flight to meet me I'm not interested. I'm taking a flight of 19 hours...at least you could take a flight of 1 or 2... Sure...No.

Don't know what people expect...

Also use it to keep track about the requested commissions and a list of ideas for future commissions and maybe a section where users could send their own idea and vote others... But maybe that will not have much success at social level xD

Well lately I've been feeling kinda downhearted without desires to talk or do anything at all. Not even drawing tough I force myself to doodle a little but I'm almost spending my days working and playing some games once I'm home.

And to be works my kitten has been missing since yesterday morning... we talked with the neighbors of the block but no one have seen him. He usually spend the whole day sleeping in my bed and barely goes out by himself thats why is so strange.

He has been with me almost 15 years...its depressing get the idea that something happened to him and don't be able to say a goodbye :/

Well I've started "drawing" and such things but... was thinking what to do about them...

Should I upload them directly to my gallery? To scraps section? Set specific title tags in brackets? Or create another account just to upload my art and keep the commissioned art asides my own?

I was wondering what to do and keep it organized...

Lets play a little with this. I really need to get distracted today...

Well finally notices that all the times I said "my skype is in my profile" I was wrong but I've solved that now xD

Tough just a few tips:

- To people that might want to add me without letting me know before... "Tell me who are you!" otherwise you'll be ignored. If I don't know from where you know me probably I'll not talk at all.

- Modals! I love to know how people are, thats why I ask how they're feeling today. And I Expect the same in return. Not a "Fine! :D" and continue the talk. If you don't bother to know me, I'll not bother to talk to you.

I love when people contact me wanting to get a pic with me but they states they don't have the money to pay their part and next week they get a picture with a recognizable artist... :>

I don't gift art, specially artwork that could cost me 40+ to put two characters in. Specially to total strangers. I gift art to the closest friends and in special occasions because I'm not rich. I work my ass off to get something nice for myself and my friends when I can.

If you want art with me we can talk about it but you should be able to pay for your character of course.

And if you gift me something you probably will get some gift from me too in the same quality if possible ;).

PD: My brain doesn't seem to be working as usual... was looking for toilet paper in the fridge... So be nice with me and buy me a straitjacket <3
