I went looking for an image in my gallery and realised to my surprise it's vanished, as have others.

Has someone at fa been deleting stuff without notifying the users ?

I can't really describe how awful this mess of a film is. Huge chunks are clearly cut out. Kong's been turned into a human analog (right down to human body language)

Movie shifts to Hong Kong because clearly they want china money, the "big bad" guys are.... actually not that evil other than some comedically evil bits.

Okay this is just silly... But I have this idea to make lots of small 30 Mon to 1 hour long little roleplaying games (think RPG maker) featuring bimbear and a few other chars in their city setting doing various silly things.

So I'm one of those weird kids of the late 80's early 90's and I grew up just as computers became "a thing". I was there for the forums, icq, aim the into Yahoo and MSN messenger etc.

What I'm saying is I grew up chatting with lots of people all over the place and made some interesting friends and had long discussions about things. All while somewhat anonymous.

Now we live in the age of Twitter and Facebook people have their names stamped all over things and despite early fears that it would lead to self censorship we've instead somehow managed to swing the other way with people gleefully screaming their stupidities and allegiances into the universe with their name and picture attached to it without a second thought.. and somehow it's causing society to polarize even more then ever and I find it amazingly sad.

We've gone from a diverse world ofany ideas to a binary left right or good bad division with little intermixing. And anyone that tried to go an alternative route is met with scorn and derision from all sides.

I suppose what I'm getting at is that I'm tired. Really tired of social media. Of lowest common denominator content and politics. And the for us or against us mantra being chanted by so many :(

So gimme attention and presents!

I'm slowly digesting the news that's come out about Fallout 76 and while I remain optimistic about it... Part of me sees a secondary reason for some of the changes.

Yes, Multiplayer is popular, yes battle royal and persistent/survival-based games are popular right now and they are /very/ easy to make. You take a large map, lots of generic craftables, gatherable resources and plop it all down then let players do all the work from there. It's the game equivalent of reality TV. So yes... I imagine there will quite possibly be even less story in the game despite the larger map size.

However, there is another element. See multiplayer games need to be balanced... fair and cheater free so part of that is certified code and exes… So, no more FOSE no more Nexus Mods. No non-certified mods at all in fact, but they probably will keep the creation club.

All in all, this could very well be the setup for an entire ecosystem whereby Bethesda provide very little themselves but then make a fortune off mod authors submitting content for approval and sale on the CC and Beth occasional drops in a minor expansion or two.

Sadly, I don't think I can justify pre-ordering this as the possibilities for this going horribly wrong and turning into ARK or Conan with a Fallout skin are just far to high.

Seems to be an ongoing thing... makes me wonder how bears do with em :D
