Italian CDs from an Italian store <3
Posted 13 years agoI just made a quick trip to the music store down the road and bought a couple of Tiziano Ferro CDs from my apartment in Firenze (Florence).
Italia is amazing.
Oh, I also live right down the road from the Baptistery of St. John with the Paradise's Door by Ghiberti, and the awe-inspiring Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore. Yesterday I took a bus to Siena to explore the town and explore the Cathedrals and take my first drink from a public fountain (amazingly good). The day before that I journeyed up the mountain to Fiesele to explore some Roman ruins dating back to 100 BC, and ate dinner at sunset with an amazing view of the entirety of Firenze.
Tomorrow I'm going to Verona to be even more amazed by the beauty of the Cathedrals here. Then later to Chianti for some wine-tasting, and Rome for some sight-seeing.
Later I'll post some pictures of the view from my terrace. I can see the Bsilica from here, and after climbing the 400+ stairs up to the top of the dome, I realized that people up there can see me rather well too.
Did you know that in Siena they hold a horse race in the main square, Il Campo, every year, and before the race each of the 17 districts brings their horse into their church to give him/her a pep talk?

Posted 14 years agoMy statistical computing teacher makes me RAAAAAAAAGE. Our whole class we copy what he writes on the projection screen, and he likes to keep his font size at "so-tiny-there's-no-way-you-can-read-this-hahahahaha."

A Steampunk Band?
Posted 14 years agoI just discovered a Steampunk band. They literally sing songs about being airship pirates being drunk and going a'plundering. I must buy this CD o_o
Figure Sculpting Class
Posted 14 years agoI just had my first real day of figure sculpting class (last week didn't count since all we did was look at the classroom and write down what we needed).
Man. I can't believe they're giving us 3 credits to sculpt for three hours every week. It was so sad having to leave at the end of the class, it's so damn fun @_@
